A step back in time as it was when the family lived there, not was someone thought it might have been. The introduction to the home is "The family is in town, but asked that I welcome you....." What a wonderful way to be welcomed to the house.

Very, very well done tour that is very informative, educational and entertaining at daycare offered times. This I'd NOT your stereotypical "keep your hands off and stay behind the ropes" tour. We attend at least one of these tours weekly and this one is unique. Well worth you time

Our tour guide was outstanding. And it was very informative and enjoyable experience. I didn't know how interesting touring a house might be, but I was pleasantly surprised at the detail and items available for viewing.

Was a little stop along our long trip to break up the ride and get to stretch our legs some. Was truly an enjoyable and interesting tour and family history. And an absolutely beautiful home! Even our 9 & 11 yr old boys liked it. In fact they were quite inquisitive and asked more questions than we did. Very lovely experience all around and provided us with something interesting to see and do while taking our break.

A hidden treasure! Well worth the time. We stopped as an additional event & it very well became "The Event". The ladies that assisted us were very pleasant & very knowledgeable. The themes change so a return visit is in store.

Alan Evil

This place is spectacular. The antique furniture alone is worth the tour. Changes regularly.

Excellent! Educational, very interesting, highly informative. Super awesome staff dressed in period attire that are extremely knowledgeable. Everything about the Adsmore is gorgeous, inside and out. Its truly like stepping back in time. I recommend visiting to anyone EXCEPT people with kids of any age that they are unable/unwilling to control. These are guided tours with the sweetest ladies that narrate throughout the museum, explaining each room/scene and what life was like for the family and community in that time period-so having loud, unruly children preventing others from hearing is unacceptable. Also, there are no roped off sections and nothing is displayed behind protective glass; the museum is exactly as if you walked thru a home many years in the past, therefore, kids of any age compelled to grab at things pose a danger to the vast amount of priceless antiques on display. Also, take note that no photos are allowed to be taken inside and cell phones need to be silenced. The tours last a decent amount of time- not too long or short and vary somewhat depending on conversation/questions for the guide. My daughter and I have made it a yearly tradition the last few spring breaks and plan to continue because it's so fun and interesting and we love to marvel at the beauty. Different seasons bring different themes, so do holidays, so it's definitely a place you can visit many times throughout the year and see all new decor and displays and hear all new stories and info each time. The Adsmore itself is a priceless, precious, and special place to create wonderful memories and traditions of your own.

This place is beautiful! And it's super neat to see things that are from way back and learn how they done things. Looking forward to going back. My children are as well. They liked it which should say something.

The house is beautiful. I've been there many a time. But our docent is getting a little forgetful and would stare into space. But what a lovely woman.

A lot of the furnishing, decor, china, etc are the actual items used by the family years ago. The staff is very friendly and able to readily answer questions. When you leave Adsmore, you feel like you've taken a piece of history with you. It is a home you must see. The carriage house/gift shop has lots of beautiful items for sale at reasonable prices.
