You have to visit when you go. Amazing place for history of African Americans. I loved it.

Luke Reisser

It is a smaller museum but shares its space with the Jazz Museum. You can spend time learning about old baseball history. Good sized gift shop too.

Rachel Riley

I was honored to be so educated and informed about Black History of Baseball in our community. I love what Kansas City represents of giving back to the many of forgotten Black Heros, that have paved the way for many of us.

D. Valentine

Very educational. Part of history and culture

Brian Anderson

Very nice

Karen Griffith

Very interesting and educational. Kudos to Kansas City for such a wonderful museum celebrating African Americans in baseball.

Kenneth Walker

A Kansas City landmark of knowledge and quality. You will see and learn things about the game of baseball that you never imagined. Located on the historic 18th & Vine.

Jody Ancar

Really informative. They had a few videos you can watch that were really good. They have a setup where you can search for individual players to learn more information about them. You can go through the museum in one day. I'd recommend it for everyone to see

Pamela Roberts

Laurie Davis

grace boykin

Amazing place so full of rich history. Take time to sit and watch one of the films if you have time. Very well done museum. Great for family trip.

Debbie Onos

This was a great little place to visit. It is unfortunate some people have not cared and respected the signs and pictures as there is some obvious damage to stuff and some missing things. There was a fantastic man that gave us a bit of a talk before we went through and he was the highlight of our visit, he was hilarious, knowledgeable, and very personable. There is much to be learned from this museum and I hope they get the opportunity to fix and update their stuff.

damon peters

My visit was such a great experience. Satchel Paige was a legend even when i was a kid, so to see so much information about him in his town was a stroke of fortune. All the greats are here, and the staff was so nice. I’d recommend having a couple hours set aside to attend. Admission was very affordable.

Janos Perkins

It was so intersting learning more about the history of the Negro League. The Museum had some wonderful displays explaining how the players finally were accepted into Major League baseball. There are a few videos which were informative and entertaining. If you are a Veteran, be sure to ask for the free entry for the veteran and family. The offer was not on the website or entry. As we were finished our tour, we heard someone buying a ticket, and they asked about it.

Roy Jr.

Very educational. The guided tour was informative and entertaining.

Tosha Pearson-Royston

Although there was a lot of reading I learned so much. I enjoyed the movies. Learning about the different leagues, how many there were and the people who owned them was very exciting.

Janice Swygert

The Negro Leagues Baseball Museum is a wonderful place to visit. They have captured the true essence of the history of baseball teams during this era and how the story needs to be shared with others of all backgrounds.

Amazing history and one of the best museums I've been to. Very informative.

Nicely done museum that gives a solid history of American baseball we don't generally get. It really puts into perspective how much this country lost by excluding so many great players from the majors. Reminds us discrimination serves no good purpose. Highly recommend.

Wonderful. You don't even have to be a baseball fan to enjoy the immersion into America's struggle with race and equality (but it helps). This Museum puts it all on the line - the good, the bad, and the worst. History needs to be understood without varnish. And that's the way it is here.

Great experience to take the kiddos and any baseball lovers. Recommend timing your visit so that you can see the promotional video that lasts about 15 minutes. The video highlights many of the artifacts of the museum and will give them context. We will certainly be recommending this museum to other parents.

Reggie Elder

Don't get me wrong, the story of it all on how the league was started was all good. But,there we're not(if any)ACTUAL things on display that were from w the league when it was going on. That's what a museum is all about.. Replica jerseys don't count.. I guess maybe Cooperstown has the dibs on the "REAL" stuff..

Great display of Negro Baseball players and paraphernalia. Staff is friendly. We attended a Halloween Party for kids. There was refreshments, Mascots walking around, Magician and movies for kids to watch in the lobby. Great annual event. Kids really enjoy themselves.

Good museum with very friendly people. Nice displays presented with a good flow to tell the story of Negro league baseball. The film is a bit dated but still great and a must-see. Not quite as many artifacts as I was hoping to see, but the replica lockers are fun nonetheless. Gift shop prices were reasonable for high-quality merchandise. Most notably, the people at the admission desk and gift shop were friendly and very helpful (they even offered to call a cab for me!).
