Anybody who is an aviation buff will enjoy this museum immensely. The sheer number of aircraft is impressive, rivaling aviation museums from much larger cities. Numerous WWII era aircraft, including a Vought Corsair, North American B-25, and a TBM Avenger, solidify an already great collection that needs seen to be appreciated.

Large collection or aircraft. More jets than expected. In old Beechcraft factory on old WWII bomber training base. Low cost and great gift shop. Well above expectations.

Awesome place to stop for the airplane enthusiast. Although a little hot inside, and a little overstocked (meaning they could use more space to display things), it was VERY COOL. The kids enjoyed it, and as a military brat, it brought back a lot of memories too. So many aircraft to see. Give yourself about 2 hours here for a very casual walkthough 1 hour if you are quick.

To those that wait come good things. We stop in and were amazed at the general aviation airplanes and fixed-wings. Being retired from the Aerospace field, I was amaze at the quality of them. As we were getting ready to leave, we asked if a volunteer was available. The new Museum Curator introduced himself and gave us a personal tour. He also explained the changes they were going to be making in the future. One of the special planes on hand was Burt Rutan Starship Enterprise. This was the first Composite all glass cockpit display. I marveled when this plane was introduced. Now look how many commercial airplanes have the same things. The Highlight was he allowed my wife and me inside it. What a truly remarkable place.

This was quite a treat for our family. Many planes from all eras. Lots of information to learn. The staff was very friendly, especially Bob Immell, the Director. We ended up spending 2 1/2 hours and were fascinated with the condition of the planes and the history we learned about them. It was set up very nicely and the Vietnam planes outside were very interesting as well. If you are going through Liberal, it would be well worth your time to visit.

disappointing, this was a very important Airfield during the second world war, it primarily was used as a B-24 Liberator training base, as the website say's the hanger and runway are still there but not one B-24! this place needs a serious infusion of cash and TLC, really sad but then it is a bit out of the way to get to. I still go there from time to time when in Liberal, but then I grew up there!

Nice collection of very good quality airplanes. They could all pass for brand new. There were many planes on display which I personally flew 40-50 years ago. Sure brought back memories. I used to own one civilian plane like in the photo. Also flew a few of the old military plane examples on display. State of the art in my younger days. Obsolete today.

As an aviation enthusiast, I have to say that this is definitely a must visit. The amount of aircraft on display inside is impressive. The aircraft outside on the ramp, however, could use some TLC.

Really did enjoy our time there with my family. We drove down from dodge city one of the days that the traveling world war 2 planes were visiting and had so much fun. There was history from around the world presented and we even got to go inside the planes! The front desk staff was very helpful to get my mother a wheelchair! We even were given leftover coupons from a trip before us for free Ice cream! The staff is unbelievably nice and we will be back in the future!

Probably my favorite place in liberal. Like others have said lots of planes. They also do a free air show every other year or every couple of years which is really neat!

A great surprise in Southwest Kansas. The size of the collection and the ability to get up close and personal with several aircraft make this a must see place.
