The restoration work and information in the museum is fascinating, and the working carousel that you can ride is beautiful, has a gorgeous band organ, and is one of the fastest carousels in existence! It was a lot of fun to ride. Definitely worth the admission price. I would go again.

Great spot to visit on a weekend afternoon! You can always hear the melody of the carousel playing as you walk or drive by. There are two carousels available to ride and one extremely old one on loan to the museum. Taking the tour is definitely worth the 20 minutes, so much history in that building and the carousel horses are amazing. Visit the restoration shop, see old and new carousel animals and learn about the history of C.W. Parker!

Always a fun time for my boys! It goes pretty quick, so be aware of that. But even from pretty tiny, I took them on rides and held them or had them close and tight in a carrier with no problems. The whole place is kept up so nice too. We will definitely miss it when we have to leave the area.

We visited here during their small mall event, which the kids really enjoyed. It gave them an opportunity to "buy" Xmas gifts (adults pre-pay for the gifts) for family and friends along with the help of an elf. They also had a chance to ride a beautifully kept old carousel, and they loved that. Santa of course was also there, and he did a nice job. My only criticism would be that Santa sat in the hallway and didn't have a picturesque background, so the pictures with Santa didn't look very nice.

My family and I adore the C. W. Parker Carousel Museum and go back often. The people who volunteer there are wonderful and always kind. The price for tickets is great! They have recently introduced these value cards that you buy that make the rides even cheaper. That would be a great gift for a child or just to buy if you take you children there often. Our son had his 3rd birthday there and it was unforgettable! Worth every cent! We would love to do it again! If you've never taken the tour, I suggest you do. The history is so interesting and you get to see other carousels and horses, their work station where they fix up old carousel horses, and so much more up stairs! They often have wonderful events, sometimes free. There are family nights, I think on Fridays. You get a meal and rides for around six dollars. They let the kids bust our a pinatã at the end.

My friend and I enjoyed our visit very much. The museum is quite interesting. There are several old carousel horses on display as well as an extremely old carousel. The working carousel is beautiful. I had a great time riding it. I highly recommend visiting this wonderful museum while in Leavenworth.

We took our family from out of town here. We really enjoyed the carousel rides. I was told by many friends that it was a really fast carousel, so I was quite disappointed at how slow it was! Our family has apparently been on much faster carousels. Still a cute stop and very affordable. The staff are so friendly and helpful!

This is a lovely Museum housing a 150 year old carousel that provides a rides for children and adults. The volunteers are welcoming and friendly. The carousel has two sizes of horses. The large horses do ride high and smaller children (ages 3-6 years) would be best suited to the smaller horses (unless you have a daredevil). For children who are sensitive to noises the carousel does play music which maybe a little too loud. While children enjoy the ride, the older carousel is more interesting to the adult's. The cost of a ride is very reasonable and something you can do on a rainy day.

Families with children and senior citizens will love this attraction! The carousel moves fast. There are two others, and there is a video you must watch. Also check out some of the cool things upstairs - carnival art from years past. There is a set of woodcarvers that sometimes work on projects in the back room.

This is such a cute little museum! I stopped in with my kids one day. They enjoyed looking around the gift shop. The carousel ride was a blast! It goes twice as fast as a typical carousel, with cute music playing the entire time. Everyone there was very sweet and informative and the bathrooms were spotless. Wonderful family place to learn a bit of amusement history and have some fun too. Children and adults alike will enjoy learning the origins of the carousel, and absolutely enjoy the ride. Riders can choose from horses, rabbits, a sleigh, or a spinning teacup; the latter is my favorite. A must see and do in Leavenworth, you won't be disappointed.
