We happened upon this place while in town doing genealogy research, and we really enjoyed it. There are multiple displays of Skelton's authentic costumes for many of his beloved characters, and each display has a sample video of that character in action. There are lots of pictures of Skelton throughout his life, and stories about his youth and private life. This is a very well done museum and also a beautiful performance venue.

This is a great place to enjoy the golden age of comedy with one of the greatest. It is awesome to know that someone that came from such humble beginnings can make it if you just want it bad enough and catch a few lucky breaks along the way. The museum is great, has a lot of Red's old costumes ,video footage, pictures, etc. A must see for young and old!!

I loved this place. I didn't expect it to be as nice as it was, and was happily surprised to find that I thoroughly enjoyed myself during my visit. There are many items belonging to Red Skeleton on display here at the museum. Anyone old enough to remember this master of laughter will enjoy all the reminders of a simpler, more honest time when laughter didn't include obscenities and foul language. Back when the masters of comedy could muster up a laugh just using facial expressions. How lovely it must have been back in my parents day...

I love these place. It has a lot of his wardrobes and a lot of DVDs and stuff and who he thought was funny a must-see place if you can get to it. The parking lot is big enough where you can get a motorhome or an 18-wheeler in it not for overnight parking though

Very good directions to get there. My husband said i was in for a disappointment, however we both were enthused and impressed. The desk receptionist was very helpful and friendly. If you're ever in the Vincennes, IN area - do stop in. Its worth it and the price is right; what a wonderful way to spend a couple of hours with a lot of laughs from the past.

Fascinating museum about the legacy of a great entertainer and that era of popular entertainment. Very clean establishment, located on the Vincennes University campus. My youngest was at first afraid of the clown merchandise and people (we visited during a parade), but he soon got over that when he realized how friendly everyone was. If you are in the area or visiting on-campus, I strongly recommend stopping by and seeing a slice of history and entertainment.

History.... I did not know anything before going to this little museum. If your in the area a two hour must do. It's fairly new and the staff is well versed with the historical accounts

If you like Red Skelton you'll like the museum. It's pretty small but full of great items including some of his original paintings. There are also some interactive displays and buttons to push, etc. that help keep kids involved.

You wouldn't expect a place like this in tiny Vincennes, Indiana. This museum is a great tribute to Red Skelton, good for children and adults. With interactive exhibits, numerous video and audio displays, and an amazing collection of memorabilia, this is a top-notch museum of any kind! Worth a trip from anywhere!
