Must see museum! If you are into model aviation check it out. Lots of nostalgic items that go back to the earliest days of model flight. You can see items that are no longer used, and extremely rare items that you will only find in a collection somewhere, well the National Model Aviation Museum is the place that has that stash to see. Stop by and help keep something great going for many more generations to come...

Great small museum. LOTS of model planes on display. Some really cool hands on exhibits. Would definitely recommend this place. Might come back if I'm in the area. I kinda wish they had more model airplanes to buy in the gift shop.

Not every interactive display was operational, and the simulator was difficult to learn (still not sure how to pilot it) but it was so fun to watch my favorite kiddos be creative and curious!

This is a great place to see old and new model aircrafts. The exhibits are always changing and make it a place to visit frequently. Have even seen that they have a Facebook page that they live stream some exhibits and the employees.

While visiting any time during the Nationals is a good time to learn about Radio Control, Control Line and Outdoor Free Flight the best time is Radio Control Soaring. Hey, I fly radio controlled airplanes and since I was in Indy, I had to make the trek to Muncie to take in the museum. If you're into this hobby, you'll be amazed with all the collector items they have on hand and they have done a really nice job of organizing it and displaying it. It's probably a 2-3 hour look through...I think you'll enjoy it.

Fantastic museum for Radio Control Model Airplane enthusiasts. Free admission for AMA Members (not sure for others) but the staff is super friendly and the displays are great. Always enjoy spending an hour or two walking through and finding new treasures. Even if you are not an active RC flyer lots of really cool things to see and do. Highly recommend if you happen to be nearby.

Very cool to see historic things from the modeling hobby. Everything from engines to airplanes to helicopters and equipment, neat selection to explore, as well as multiple interactive exhibits that are kid friendly. Members are free, adults 5 bucks and youth is cheaper. Cool place to check out!
