REVIEWS OF Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory IN Indiana

Super cool place! Have been wanting to go here for a very long time. The factory tour was super fun! The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the process and the tour in general had a tremendous amount of information about how they make bats. You get to see first hand how the bats are made. The gift shop had lots of cool items to buy, including personalized bats! Added a video of how that is made. Very cool, but bring your wallet! You pay for quality!

Jess Ehm

Great museum and factory tour! They really do a great thing by letting their guests right out on the factory floor. Very knowledgeable tour guide. Also very knowledgeable and engaging museum staff. Definitely check this place out if your in the Louisville area and are a baseball fan!

Jw Allen

What an awesome experience! My kids have never been more inspired to go out and play ball! The tour was impressive. The attention to detail in the process was amazing to witness. It was cool to walk through a working factory while learning a great deal about baseball history. There were additional demonstrations in the museum portion as well and there were plenty of hands on opportunities for all. You could feel the differences in the wood, the cut, and even the finish of the different bats. At the end of the tour we were all given mini bats that were around $13 in the store! They have a generous military discount as well! The beautiful building and the street around it had a historic appeal. There was another museum just across the street. This was a gem of a find. My boys picked up some impressive souvenirs and are psyched to tell their friends about this cool experience.

Donna Dotti

Super interesting, just wish you can take photos during the tour... we bought a custom bar! Can't wait for it to arrive!!!!

c parker

It was cool to see all the history and craftsmanship. The tour is about 30 mins, and the museum area itself isn’t that big. My favorite part is the batting cage, it’s $2 to try.

stacy P

Im not into baseball and I found it very interesting. My seven year old daughter enjoyed it too. The tour of the factory was great!

Fawxy Ladie

Great experience! Tour is very informative. They even give you a memorable gift for taking there tour.

Dean Hernandez

Fun and informative but, not a repeat visit. That said, it was thoroughly entertaining and the tour was well paced. The museum is fun if you take the time to pose with game used bats from modern players and greats like Ruth and Mantle. All in all, worth the time and money.

Linnéa Carlefred

For being a total rookie when it comes to baseball this museum and factory actually have me a really good impression. The exhibits were well made and the gift shop had a great variety of cool things to buy. And the guided tour in the factory was really great, everything you didn't know about baseball bats - you'll learn right here. Greg, our guide, was ambitious and had a good knowledge. Over all, great experience!

James Moore

Great museum. Factory your was fast. If you weren't at the front you walked up half way through them talking. Elderly or people with children missed out. If they slowed down it would have gotten 5 stars.

Bob Atkin

Look for the big bat just a couple of blocks from the river and you will find Slugger Museum. Make reservations in advance to be able to walk right in and know when you will be taking your tour, but you can also walk in off the street and get your tickets. It’s not free, but definitely worth the price of admission. Arrive early enough to spend some time in the museum before your tour. There are actual bats used by some of sport’s greatest stars, lego replicas of big league ball parks, places for pictures swinging a bat or with a star from yesteryear. Lots of pictures and lots to read, you’ll need a little time to get through everything. The tour is also outstanding. Lots on interesting information, pictures, videos, and of course actual people working on bats right in front of you. Great for the kids; but you notice and learn a lot more if you also go without anyone to watch over while you’re there.

Dennis York

Great tour, very informative. Gift shop reasonably priced and loved the exhibits. Really neat to see all the bat signatures on the wall. Even though in an urban area I thought parking was reasonable in price and access

dionicio perez

The place is clean and the employees are nice. We took the tour and hit in the baseball cages. The tour is about 20-30min depending on the group size. The batting cage were $2, per 10 pitches. They have a large assortment of metal and composite bats to hit with, along with helmets. The gift store has a lot of baseball bats, some are blemished, so you can purchase those for cheap. Also, they can customize a bat with your name via laser engraving. Restrooms are large, and clean.

Dale Blankenship

Definitely worth a visit, even if you're not a baseball fan! Very cool to take the tour and watch the bats get made.

Paranormal Society

Such an awesome experience. We had so much fun. You get to see such amazing things and learn the history of the iconic baseball bat. Well done. The staff is super wonderful as well.

Wendy Olson

It was ok, nothing great. The tour groups were big. It would have been nice to go slower and have seen more. It's something to check off that I've done but unless I had someone I was showing around that was a big baseball fan I'd never go back

MC Skibba Studio

Awesome place. Alot of history here. This is a great place to take your family. Only down side is that you can't take pictures of the actual factory.

Francis Zaun

It was a very family friendly place to take the kids. They have lots of discounts for veterans, elderly and so forth. Even though I think baseball is the most boring sport to watch, learning about the bat making process and how intricate certain bats need to be for players, the formal code/colors needed to be approved by the MLB and being able to hold bats of famous players from all over the US was a great learning experience and overall enjoyable one. We have to younger girls 5 & 6 who enjoyed it as well!

Gus O'Neil

If you're a life long baseball fan like me this place should be on your bucket list. The museum has plenty to see regarding all the baseball greats, but be sure to take the factory tour! An additional fee is require but well worth it! It's a walk through the actually factory where the bats are made. You get a step by step tour of what goes into a Louisville Slugger from the time the trees are cut down, till the time that bat takes the field. A must for any baseball fan.

Brian Ohlrich

Great interactions with game used bats and real factory setting emersed you in a total experience. Highly encourage this stop while you're in town.

Ralph Hensley

Cool place & got to see bars being made. Also like the little bat presented at end of tour. I wasn't expecting that.

Janet Humphrey

We took all three kids on a tour and explored the museum. The boys and my husband took turns in the batting cages before the tour. The tour was great but the museum exhibits are better. Great time. We saw all of it in about about two hours.

Brandon Wardlaw

Pretty neat if you’re into baseball. Tours run quite frequently during peak times (seems like every 5-10 minutes) and last just under a half hour, so it’s pretty easy to work a visit into your agenda. Probably would not bother visiting without doing the tour though - the museum portion is quite basic. And though the tour is pretty much what you’d expect (just milling of wood into bats, sanding, painting/coating, etc.), it’s interesting to see the machinery, and learn about how selective MLB players are about the quality of their bats.

Patty & George Amos

Great tour and very interesting. Definitely worth stopping in to see!

Stephen Harvey

An absolutely awesome piece of history. They have a fantastic factory tour where you learn about the different woods used to make baseball bats, where it comes from, and the different styles bats. At the end you can purchase and have engraved your very own Louisville Slugger bat. Bonus: they'll ship the bat to you for $14.

Adrienne Thompson

You don't need to be a baseball fan to enjoy your time here. I love to learn about how things are made and this tour did not disappoint. It is about 30 to 35 minutes. You aren't allowed to take pictures inside the factory but you can take them in the museum. My kids 7, 10, and 15 all found something that interested them. Definitely worth it and you get a mini bat at the end of the tour.

Mary Sundra

Great experience. The only disappointment was that the tour is conducted by various guides who stay at their post. Some encouraged visitors to look around before moving on but the next guide started their portion before the entire group arrived. Some areas also had more to see, but due to the noise of a working factory you couldn't stand too far from the guide.

brandon blue

Pretty cool place to visit. The museum itself seemed pretty small but the tour is very educational. You don't have to be a baseball or even a sports fan to enjoy this tour. Well worth the price of admission. No photos from inside though so I got one of the horse out front!

Peter Fotheringham

So much I didn't know before about how bats are produced -- and in what QUANTITIES!!! Don't miss the photo op with a bat used by a player from your favorite team! Batter up!

Angie McAlexander

Great experience! My husband, age 63 was like a child again and even bought himself a new bat! For display only, of course!

Brian Lane

Great place to spend an hour or so in Louisville. Highly recommend the tour. Free mini bat with paid tour, so you’re really just paying for a souvenir bat and spending a couple bucks to see and hear the story of how they’re made. Kids loved it and I was impressed at the process. Also, check out the waterfront just down the road. There were several playgrounds and the bridges are awesome to see.

Nicole Shea

Awesome tour and experience! If you are a fan of baseball, you will definitely want to go and take a tour. There is a lot of great history to be found here. You can hold your favorite players bat as well as get a bat of your own. Highly recommend!

Georgia Wright

Family loved this tour. Souvenir bat at the end was a huge hit with the kids. Fascinating to learn the history behind the bat.

Lorraine Began

Amazing to see where it happens! How a bat is made, how a player selects their own bat! Loved every minute!

Phillip Morton

A must see for fans of baseball. The factory and museum is surprisingly small but really has a lot to offer. Tours of the factory happen regularly though no photography is allowed. A section of the museum allows visitors to hold game used bats of some of the greatest baseball players of all time. Overall a great experience. Must see in Louisville for all.

On the Way with the Waychoffs

There was a nice tour and museum. We were even allowed to hold game used bats by legends, like Mickey Mantle, Babe Ruth, Derek Jeter, etc. This wasn't a planned stop on vacation, but it was a great place to stop, we are glad we made time. They also have batting cages, a theater, and gift shop.

Katie Osburn

The tour was very informative and fun, they walked you through whole process of the bat making as well as the history of the company. it was much more interesting than I thought it would be and I spent more time there than I expected. They even gave you a fun little bat at the end.

Jordan Kisseberth

Really enjoyed the tour. Trey was very knowledgeable. We had a blast. Definitely reccomend.

Bryan Blacksher

The factory tour was interesting and we saw a lot of the manufacturing process. It would have been nice to see even more but that would be too much liability for them. There are lots of displays, exhibits, and plaques to look at/read. Lots of statistics. Lots of bats and you even get a mini bat souvenir. Great.

M. Wallace

Well done, informative museum and factory tour. Lots of neat baseball history and memorabilia. My kids loved the tour, it was long enough to be informative and short enough to hold their attention. If you have baseball fans in your family this is a must do.

Adam Scherzer

Great team at the Personalized Bats area and customer service department answering the phone. I was able to watch my bats get made as I waited after placing my order. Their souvenir gift shop has plenty of neat items for anyone. Personalized utility/army knives, keychains, shot glasses and all kinds of cool wooden items.

Lisa Hargate

So incredibly interesting! I am not the biggest baseball fan but this was so enjoyable. You actually get to see a baseball bat being made during the tour. Lots of displays to look at and read. Plan to spend at least 90 minutes here.

Christopher Manning

This place is outstanding! If you like baseball, you will love this place. A very methodical tour that explains every aspect of their bat production. A really nice store is there also. Great trip!

Jeannette Baldelli

Very interesting & informative. Tour guide was very personable. Giant bat at entrance was quite the sight. Great photo op.

Stephen Lewis

Genuinely had a fantastic time. The quick tour around the factory gave me an insight into the game of baseball that I'd never considered. It gave me an opportunity to feel like kid again.

Craig Dixon

I'm not even a big baseball fan, but it was still neat to see how these iconic bats are made. The tour isn't very long, but you learn a lot. No photos in the factory itself.

Jan Kopischke

This tour is well-worth the cost of admission. Each touring member receives a free mini bat at the end if the tour. Each step of creating the Louisville Slugger is explained in great detail. Simply amazing!

Milly Corvo

We didn't take the tour so I can't offer them the 5 stars, however they had a great selection of products in the gift shop. Huge variety and very fairly priced. Definitely something for everybody in there including personalized bats, shirts and autographed memorabilia.

Karen Little

Fun tour, love that you get to take home a mini-bat. I'm a machinery and process engineering junkie, so the factory tour was just a lot of fun to me (don't care as much about the baseball... sorry fans). You do get some baseball history too, though, and stats, if that's your thing.

Jason C

Such a beautiful walk through baseball history and lore. To see the process is priceless. Highly recommend.

Amber McBride

We enjoyed our tour. Its exciting to see the production happening for players bats right before your eyes. Highly recommend to take kids to see how their bat was made. Very interesting and I loved how you could watch someone handmake a bat (as they used to do)...loved it.

Nancy Roberts

The kids loved it. I loved the history too. My Dad brought home a bat to me when I was a kid. Now a new generation with a really cool story because they were able.to go through the tour.

Emily Gebhart

Outside down the sidewalk is the walk of fame. You can see these bats and bases for free. You can look in some windows and see how they used to make the bats, go into the gift shop, and see the 120ft bat outside the museum for free. You can also pay admission into the museum and you get a mini Louisville slugger bat as a souvenir with admission. Great for all those who love the game and those who love someone who loves the game.

Ainsley Graff

This was a fun experience for all ages even if you aren’t interested in baseball! The tour was about 30 minutes long and super informative. There was a lot to see before and after the tour, as well. Our tour guide, Tony, was great!

John Ireland

If you are a baseball fan this needs to be on your bucket list. The factory tour is very well done. The museum is also wroth spending time in. This is my second visit and I'll do it again in a couple of years.

Jaime Perez

Learning about the specific methods used to creating a Louisville Slugger was very interesting. I really like the overall experience and the tour. The tour takes you through a series of sections that show you how bats are made. At the end of the tour you get to view some history and hold it. Like Babe Ruth's bat.

Jorge Ruiz

Awesome place especially for the sports enthusiast! A must see for everyone and the tour was amazing!!

Stephanie J

This place was a neat experience. I took the tour and it was very detailed throughout, even allowing "us" to see all of the machines in motion. Another great thing to see was the CNC lathe turning the bat to size. There are a lot of steps involved in creating a bat. The place is definitely a MUST visit!

Ryan Sheibley

Great place to tour and see where the bats are made for some of America's greatest ballplayers! Awesome time for family. Clean, friendly and very fun!

Timo Ancan

A must see place and bring the whole family. I'm not a sports person that doesn't stopped me from being curious and visit this Louisville jewel. The sidewalk, the facade and of course the main attraction a 40 meters tall 9 meters diameter bat made of steel and carbon that dominates the whole block. A full scale of the bat requested by the one and only Babe Ruth! Highly recommended in your visit to Louisville - Lexington metro area.

Seth Damas

We were expecting the museum portion to be bigger but the tour and the history surrounding the family and company is amazing and makes the visit worth it.

Karina Arntzen

If you are truly in love with the game, pay the extra $5 for the bat vault. Yes, it is mostly pre-80’s players but the history and stories Johnny (bat vault attendant) told were well worth it. That man loves his job. I’m not a huge fan but even I was in awe. My hubby and 11 year old were in heaven. Great place to spend an afternoon.

Kyle Baker

I'm not a huge baseball fan, but everyone has heard of the Louisville Slugger. It was fun to visit the museum and the factory tour was very interesting. It's a very hands on tour. They give you wood cores to hold, the partially finished bats to check out, and let you see and touch the final products as well. At the end of the tour you receive a free mini Louisville Slugger. Enjoyable and I would imagine even more so for big baseball fans.

Jonas Bateman

If you love baseball this is the place to visit. 11/10 would recommend.

Matt Grove

The tickets were $15 a piece for adults. You walk through the working factory with an actual tour guide. Very informative guide. At the end of the tour that give you a small 18 inch bat. Probably takes half hour to an hour for the tour. The tour ends in a large gift shop with many reasonably priced items. Many restaurants close by since it's in downtown Louisville. Very nice!

James Casteel

Tour of factory is very interesting. Museum is well planned and a lot of interactive displays

Shawn

If you like baseball you will enjoy this place. You get a tour of the factory that takes about 20 mins and you get a mini bat with it. The problem is its pretty pricey if you take a whole family.

Tyler Peacock

The Slugger Museum and Factory is amazing. Surreal atmosphere, or maybe I was I just too excited. Haha. It's great for the value and I enjoyed the tours bc it's very informative and literally hands on as you can hold or swing a few of your favorite baseball player's bat(s).

Rich Mahre

This place is awesome, especially if you love baseball as much as I do. Not a baseball fan? You should still check it out!

frank blackwell

Super cool piece of Kentucky history. Unfortunately I did not have a chance to to do the tour, but I will next time. You get a free mini bat with your tour. You can also purchase a variety of different bats and sizes.

Shaun Simmons

Loved it, but parking is difficult. Very interactive and hands on. Really only have to pay for the tour, and then they have everyone a free mini bat. To purchase a mini bat there is about the same price, soooo..... just take the tour. Pretty cool for all ages.

Ryan Parr

If you enjoy baseball, this is a must place to visit. The history and tour are just awesome.

Phil Prichard

AWESOME!! Of course it helps if you are a baseball fan. I also enjoy turning wood as a hobby...so the tour of the actual factory where they are making bats was especially good. Our guide (Mike) did a great job. See actual bats used by baseball greats in the museum. Prices in the gift shop we're actually reasonable, too. On this trip I took in a Cubs game in Chicago and a Brewers game in Milwaukee...but this stop in Louisville was the highlight! If I could, I'd give it 10 stars.

Pamm Moore-Haley

We visited today with our 9 & 10 yr old grandsons. My last visit was almost 15 years ago with 2 other grandsons. Each visit the staff was very friendly, helpful and patient. Excellent customer service! Only suggestion would be a mini book (free or at a cost) that explains and shows pictures of the bat making process that you cover in the tour. Thank you for a very fun and informative time!

D. Taylor

Great tour for my wife, adult daughter and her two boys (8 and 4). I enjoyed it too. Our guide was informative and funny. Highly recommend visiting the Louisville Slugger Factory and Museum. Parking is available within a block behind the building at 2 private lots for $7-8 all day.

dawn senecal

Loved this place! Even if you're not a baseball fan, you'll still enjoy the history of this place and the tour of the factory was AWESOME! Want to go back and take my dad there next! And my nephew!!

Louann Wrisinger

Thanks for the awesome tour! Four of our grandkids loved it! The whole place is awesome! Hope you are around forever! You make a difference in people lives though out the whole world from the beginning to current and the future! You are needed! Thank you and God Bless!

Robin North

Fun stop in Louisville at the Slugger museum and factory. Short 25 minute tour gave just enough info without over doing it. Museum was interesting and a craftsman was making a bat on a lathe... fun to watch him work. Pitching area. Batting cage, and lots of baseball memorabilia. Worth a stop.

Jennifer Huser

Neat experience! The factory tour part was definitely my favorite getting to watch how they made the bats. Definitely enjoyed seeing the original bats from famous players. Staff was friendly, helpful and willing to answer questions. They have one the machine that stretch the pennys . They also have a batting cages, the giant glove and the bat voalt.

Pete Maestrales

Got to visit here when I was in AAA. This company makes the best baseball bat. They have always made the best bats. No other company even comes close to matching the quality and consistency of LS.

Mike Hindle

If you love baseball as much as I do and you happen to be in the Louisville area put it on your bucket list! Friendly people there, great tour and history of bat making as well as hands on with some MLB players bats.

G Adams

You are in the baseball Louisville Slugger is the place to go you see how the bats are made step by step . They also give you a gift of a free bat right off the assembly line. Is a miniature one but it is stamped with Louisville Slugger. My great-grandkids would love that. We have a tour guide that knows everything about the Louisville Slugger. There's also an extensive gift store with almost everything you need to know about baseball and how did that was produced.

Arnita Booth

It was so amazing I have never been there before its worth every penny awesome.

Jeremy Pruitt

This was a fun tour. Amazing to think so many bats come out of this facility. The museum has a lot of really interesting baseball and company memorabilia. The picture opportunity with game used bats was a treat as well.

Kasey Goodyear

I went on a tour of the factory-well worth it. Even if you dont care for baseball, it's so great to witness the process of how a bat is made, plus many hands on experiences. And. .. all sorts of milestones that women and minorities crossed with this game .

Nick Kurtz

A fun interactive experience with plenty to learn (and buy in the shop), plus the tour provides a cool inside look for any baseball fan who's been curious about how bats are made. The sports fans in our group loved it. The non sports fans drank whiskey across the street. A win-win.

Ryan Spayde

Loved it as a kid and even more as an adult! Great place to bring your kids if their into baseball.

Greg Hood

Turned out to exceed my expectations. Tour was interesting and well put together. Guide was knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend to any fan of the game.

Rachel Napoleon

You get to walk through a working factory. Yup...they are making bats right then and there. Our guide through the factory, Mike, was very knowledgeable and answered all of the questions asked. Plus we got our own miniature Louisville slugger bat as a souvenir!

Corinna G

Great tour, very informative. Gift shop reasonably priced and loved the exhibits. Really neat to see all the bat signatures on the wall. Well worth the price of admission. No photos from inside though so I got one of the horse out front!Well worth the price of admission. No photos from inside though so I got one of the horse out front! Parking is available within a block behind the building at 2 private lots for $7-8 all day.

Eric Willhite

A quick tour of the best baseball bat maker in the world! The price of the tour was not that expensive. The tour guide was very professional knew this baseball and his bats. There are lots of great exhibits here on baseball. My favorite the batting cage, here you can swing a piece of history. The same bat models of Babe Ruth and Jackie Robinson!

Jeremy Ganey

Great experience. This is a must-do for anybody visiting Louisville. The tour guide really new the process inside and out and was always happy answering everyone's questions. It was very neat to see how it all started compared to where the business is today.

Cindy Hayes

Fun small museum and tour of bat making. Good way to spend a few hours.

Derek Hurley

Really cool of you are into baseball. Kind of expensive but not to crazy. In a rougher part of town in, seemed that way at least but that's what you get for a downtown. Its was fun though bring money for parking

Robert Ratterman

Wonderful tour of factory with friendly, engaging guide. The museum was fun with a lot of interesting history exhibits and fun displays.

Callean Ilonka

In downtown Louisville is the museum and factory where all types of bats are made for the major leagues. The tour takes about 25 minutes and takes you through all phases how a bat is made. No photos inside. There is a video about the history and where the wood comes from. Adjacent to the gift store is a hall of fame of players. In the gift store you can purchase all types of “Slugger” memories to take home from clothes to personalized bats

geoff davis

Very cool! Don't have to be a big baseball fan to appreciate the process (but it helps)

veteran011

Cool walking tour of the factory. It's about an hour and a half long but very informative. You may need to hang out close to the tour guide if you're hard of hearing since the factory is loud. Museum is pretty interesting too.

VON RIDER

Great tour. Even if you are not a baseball fan. So much to see. Watch a pro ball players bat get made. In case you did know that average pro player goes through about 75 bats or so in a year.

Carola Spurlock

Fun place; the factory tour is interesting & you get a free mini-bat at the end. Other than that, doesn't take too long to go through. The outside is an absolute must-see if in the area.

Tiffany Heaton

We got split up from our group because we got lost parking, so I suggest leaving earlier then your GPS says. As were there in time but after finding a place to park, walking there and getting in line it was too late to go with our group. You can make custom bats here, there is a gift shop with really cool and unique souvenirs. They had activities for the boys to do. We had a great time despite not doing the tour with our group. I only wish they made authentic wood bat shades instead of plastic wood sunglasses

Marcia Combs

Exciting and a different place to visit.YOUcan a see how wood turns one thing to another then something exciting as a piece of equipment a player usei. In a game.

Kenneth Rimmer

Nice bat and baseball museum. Cool old building in downtown. Pretty easy to get to. Riverfront is nearby. They show you how the bats are made.

Joe N. Warren

I've played ball for my entire life and this was my 1st time there. Great experience & great your. A must!!! The store is reasonably priced so make sure to check it out. Don't forget to handle & check out what the pros swing..

dEep cLEAr bLUE skY iS tAlKinG tO cRAnbERRy

Greg Roth

Great piece of Americana! Friendly staff, fun and interesting factor tour.

Kendra Collins

Loved this place! The staff was so friendly & knowledgeable. It was such a fun experience to see everything that goes into making the bats, even if you’re not a huge baseball fan. & you get a free souvenir on our way out of the tour. They had a big selection at their gift shop too! Would come back definitely!

Kristi Nothstein

Very neat, seeing the way they make the bats, and the process they have to go through for each bat. It makes you appreciate the bat more. Really enjoyed the tour, the tour guide was very informative. Appreciate the bat souvenir they give out at the end.

Matt Sarratt

Excellent place! Take the kids, take the family, take anyone who loves baseball! So much to check out and enjoy! Very reasonably priced as well!

Shannon Maus

Very fun factory tour & museum. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and shared lots of interesting information! You can also try out the bat of your favorite MLB player! Would recommend seeing this if you're in Louisville!

Bruce Hankey

Very nice tour to learn more about the bats used today and in the past. Being able to to hold an actual Babe Ruth bat was awesome as well as seeing a letter he wrote to them to get more identical bats.

Jeffrey Kane

Simply an awesome experience if you even care a little about baseball. The museum and factory tour costs a bit but there's still so much to see at no charge. You can get personalized bats!!

Alex Sizemore

Excellent. The tour by Trey was top notch and very informative. Shorter than I thought but packed with information. Will be going again.

L TejadaSanchez

Enjoyed the exhibits there. Able to take a better look at how bats are made. Backstage factory was very informative. Souvenir mini bat given at the end. Photos can be taken in museum but not in the factory tour.

Darren Bock

Factory tour was very interesting. And alot of great historical items in museum .

Johnathan Stewart

This place is amazing to visit. Even if you're not a baseball fan it is an awesome tour to learn how the wooden bat is made. The history and knowledge is worth the visit.

D

Worth a visit!! ⚾️ Took a fun and interesting tour of their factory. Gave us a baseball bat souvenir. You don’t have to know baseball to love this place!!

Andrew Fisher

I visited here several years ago and I really enjoyed this museum. If you love baseball, this is a must see. It's the actual running factory. You get to see how the bats are made and the history of Louisville Slugger bats. Lots of fun interactive stuff. You also get a free mini bat at the end of the tour.

Briana Smith

Great tour. Very interesting to learn about the history and production of these iconic bats.

Jason Pucket

Neat place. Who doesn't like a giant bat. A must for any baseball fan.

Sara

If you love baseball this is the place to go! The guided tour through the factory is wonderful and worth the money. You get to see how the bats are made, learn the different types of wood they use, and all of it is hands on. At the end of the tour you get a free mini bat to take home! Plan to spend at least an hour here. Would recommend!

Emmy Hansen

Such a fun stop! I'm not even a baseball fan, but I wanted to be after we were done here! Trying to figure out a fun decorating project to do with all of our mini bars.

David Dickinson

Very cool tour and they have cull bats with mostly minor defects you can get for real cheap.

Janice McMannis

Interesting, much more than I expected. Baseball fans will really enjoy this.

Kenneth Clayton

Another legendary place we visited while in Louisville. Louisville Slugger is synonymous with home run hitters in MLB. 80 percent of the hall of fame had contracts with Louisville Slugger. Lots of interesting information and a great gift shop. A really enjoyable experience.

Becky Wilson

Amazing tour and museum for anyone! We learned so much and truly enjoyed the entire experience. Very clean. Extremely friendly staff.

Shawn Echols

I give this tour 3 stars, docking two stars from and excellent tour of the factory when I went "the shift had just ended" which greatly reduced the factory operation to see. This seem like it would be easy to fix with scheduling.

Michael Milliman

So awesome! If you get a chance go here, take the tour and then pay the $5 extra to go into the bat vault and see Johnny very knowledgeable

We had a lot of fun here with the family and none of us are bigs baseball fans. I thought the tour was great long enough for me to enjoy it but not too long for my 5 yr old. There is enough to read and see for the coat in my opinion. We did go closer to closed so we got discounted tickets.

This is a really awesome to her. I definitely recommend it even if you're not a baseball enthusiast it was a lot of fun. You also receive a free mini bat on your tour.

Minna Kim

Had a lot of fun on the tour. Would recommend because you get to see the whole bat making process super close. We had a fun tour guide too.

Matt Cerf

Awesome museum. You get to see the essential without too much details. You can take the factory tour. Great!

Dan Stryker

Fun place to visit for any baseball fan. Good tour of manufacturing process...

don ventura

Cool place even if you're not into baseball. History & current day are both interesting. Who knew?!

kindle Smores

I enjoyed the story but being a free weekend the lines were long and the wait time were tough on the kidds

Kathy Branson

Very informative and interesting tour. Took just under an hour for the tour. We bought our tickets first. Went through the museum for about 20 minutes, then it was time for our tour. Spent some time in the souvenir shop before leaving.

Melissa Farrell

One of the best factory tours! Up close and personal, to say the very least. Please visit if you love baseball as much as I do !! #Chopon

Keith Stengler

Very interesting tour for the making of the iconic baseball bat. Good for the whole family.

Chris Lindsey

I was like a kid in a candy store. The tour was great and informative. Just keep in mind that there is only one spot for cameras at the very beginning. The rest of the factory tour is no camera allowed. There is a lot that goes into the final simple way of making bats. The museum is very neat and don't leave without holding some legendary bats. You can even take some BP with some bats. But be careful, timing is hard to get with 40 mph pitches. Must stop if in Louisville.

If you like baseball and it's history you will enjoy it. The tour is short because the factory is small, but you really get to see all you need to see. There are 5 or 6 life like images of well known famous baseball players, that you can pose with. At the end of the tour you will receive your own mini baseball bat. There is also a very small baseball history museum.

Mike Panfile

Awesome place if you like baseball Most of the pro's get their equipment there The guided walking tour is short but informative You see the actual factory and workers at their stations You get a free mini bat at the end

Allen W

We visited this as a group of 7. The tour is about 30 minutes long and then about 30 minutes worth of stuff to look at in the museum. It was a interesting tour, learning about how bats are picked, what they look for and how they make them. The kids really enjoyed it the most. Really interesting if you're a big baseball fan, if you're not I'd pass.

chris wigtion

The tour is very short. I'm not really a baseball fan but the kids wanted to go. We went to the KFC nearest to it and it had bullet proof windows Iinside i'd say it was a bad area so avoid it.

Ron Kuzmirek

I went here on free museum day, I got the tour and I got a customized bat. Place is so awesome.

Payton Smith

Pretty much what you'd expect form a factory/museum/gift shop. You will learn a lot about the history of baseball and the process of how famous lousvile slugger is made.

Linda Killion

Baseball lovers dream: very intersesting on the care and quality they maintain for their bats. Our guide Johnny informative and great listener. Staff very patient with me on a special order

Stephanie Nitzel

We loved the tour and all the information. Holding a game bat of Babe Ruth & Mickey Mantle left us in Awe. Seeing the process is the bat making and all the history. We highly recommend putting this on your bucket list.

David Niemeyer

Nice, because we're big baseball fans, but wish they had more in the exhibits, like MLB players coming to create and pick up their bats. The bat factory tour and video overview of the bat making process were very cool. Was hoping to see more in the memorobilia exhibit areas. Nice they give every visitor a mini bar souvenir.

Brian Baker

Very informative tour of the factory floor starting with how the wood is chosen, the different types, and the benefits of each. The tour took us through each step of the process while real bats were being made. The museum was also fact- and story-filled. And of course, batting cages ($2 for 10 balls) were available in the building for testing a variety of bats.

Really cool experience. I loved the big baseball bat in the front.

Kathy Moore

Terrific tour even for non baseball people. You get a mini bat at the end. How cool!

Frederic Sender

A great museum for all to enjoy! Interactive and family friendly. I recommend a tour of this working factory. It’s easy and lasts about 20-30 minutes depending on the crowds. Browse the gift shop for those must-have souvenirs.

JLD

Great time for the whole family. We are not the biggest baseball fans but we loved the tour & learned so much. Enjoyed the batting cages, what a great afternoon spent at the Louisville Slugger Museum.

Catherine Robertson

Wow! You must stop here when traveling through Louisville. We planned to stop here for our sons and I thought I would simply tolerate it, but I enjoyed it as much as they did! Fascinating history in the factory tour and museum, so worth it!

Britt Lee

Visiting from Texas and I love this museum tour! It was very informative! And you get a free mini bat at the end of the tour! Awesome!

Jason Anatole

Tours are great. Activity areas also. The area is walkable for going to resturants and other museums. Parking can be limited if busy. There is a parking garage behind the museum. Can be cheaper than the lots if you don't stay to long. Otherwise pony up at least $8.00 no matter where you park.

Melissa Burla

If you go to Louisville, and you love baseball, you have to stop in here. The best part was the virtual pitching diorama where you stand in the catcher's spot behind the plate and experience the speed of major league pitching.
