The newly renovated IFD Museum is a really cool place to visit. TONS of fire fighting history 'stuff' (i.e. equipment, rigs, photos, displays, etc) in a 100+ year old firestation! The antique fire truck is really something to see as well. Great place to spend an afternoon. Appropriate for all ages. The Fallen Firefighter Memorial is next door and neat to visit as well.

The museum is a trove of information and the lovely retired firefighter who was gracious enough to give us a tour was knowledgeable as well as a great story teller. I have unfortunately forgotten his name, but I am so grateful for the experience.

This is such a great place to learn about not only about fire services history but also about Indianapolis history. As an EMT it is humbling to see how all of the firefighters are honored.

This is a great opportunity for others to see history. My cousin and I enjoyed our time in the time spent at the museum. We recently attended the Reading of the Names -85th Year on October 2nd, 2019. I would recommend if you have time to stop by for a visit. Lots of items to take a look at. Please take your time to enjoy the history here.

This is a small but quality fire fighting museum. Many different aspects from trucks, hoses, pumps, nozzles, pictures, badges and toys. It is also an Indy museum as all memorabilia is from Indy stations.
