REVIEWS OF Indiana State Museum IN Indiana

Marian Martin

The exhibits are fun and many are interactive so the kiddos like to visit too. I learn a little something each time and it doesn't take all day to see a lot of cool stuff. It's fun to discuss the exhibits with my girls and see how their kinds work. Always a great experience and the cafe serves up some fantastic nosh for lunch or snacks!

Taylor Utt

Awesome "hidden" gem. Very educational, but even my 3year old loved it. Be prepared for stairs as there is only one area with the elevators that I noticed(and it either wasn't working or took FOREVER...it didn't hinder our trip much though).

Phil

I did not actually explore the museum. I was walking along the canal and had to pee really bad but could not find a public restroom anywhere else so I stopped in here. From what I saw of the museum(the lobby and restroom) it was nice.

Liz Cox

We attended the Indiana State Museum for a field trip. There were so many cool exhibits! My daughter and her friends had so much fun on the upper level exploring fashion design and cardboard engineering.

Elena S. Kim

The museum has permanent and temporary exhibitions telling local and national history from ice age to modern technology and art. Kids friendly and interactive.

Steven Sexton

Went here for breakfast with Santa and it was a great time. It was our first time at the museum so it was nice to walk around a bit after breakfast. Everyone was very friendly and the whole event was very well done! Our daughter had such a fun time riding the train and meeting Santa. We will be doing it again next year!

Richard Maxwell

Loved it! Great place to take the kiddos!

Nicholas Pierce

No Kate, it isn't free for students. Great museum otherwise.

Cindy Klusmeier

First time here. Fantastic exhibits for all ages. Next to bring my school age grandkiddos.

Deborah Wilkerson

I love ism because my son has special needs and there is a lot of couches there to rest and calm down!!!! A+

Roberta Campbell

LOVE THE MUSEUM. VERY PROUD TO TAKE OUT OF TOWN VISTORS TO VISIT IT.

Jye Meier

Nice museum within walking distance of a bunch of other museum and the zoo

Jacob Cedusky

Nice facility overall with modern esthetic. Surrounding area and canal are nice for walks and enjoying flowers, river, and canal. However, the museum itself is pretty sparse and costs $17 for an adult. Not a great way to communicate the achievements of the state.

Crystal Puckett

I was a little worried about taking my kids here because they are use to going to the Children’s Museum which is very hands on. But this place was great and had a lot of interactive experience for the kids. My son’s are five and seven and they both loved it. Do remember to keep your tickets recipe for parking because the cost for parking is my only complaint.

Barb

Great museum for all ages. Activities for kids . this is definitely a museum you can visit multiple times even without the changing exhibits. It is large and spacious. Even with a crowd it seems relaxed and calm. Dont be afraid to park in the parking garage. Get a voucher in the museum when you pat admmission, and parking is only $5. And take the outdoor county walk around the building. Fascinating and unique.

Chris Davidson

Amazing such great exhibits I learn so much here.Very clean and the employees are great.I definitely recommend it!

Kita Atts

Went there to see an IMAX movie. They are actually an IMAX theater not like the regular theaters that act like they are. Great set up. Great snacks.

Poderosa Dioni

Excellent place for enjoyed with the family and friends

Mrs. Sandra O'Donnell

I took my husband here and we were nothing but amazed!! All the history and exhibits are so well put together and intriguing!! We were there for no less than 3 hours and were never bored. This is a really amazing history packed adventure that will leave you in awe!!

Flat Truth Trucker

A must visit, 4D virtual reality experience. A historical learning experience of history brought to life by musicians actresses and actors. A hands-on experience that will bring education to the whole family that you won't forget.. Definitely one of the funnest museums I've ever been to.

Robert Helton

The Indiana State Museum us a must see. It's has a host of ever changing exhibits that are not only enjoyable but informative.

Some great memorabilia, and cars to be seen. The gift shops could be better but what can you do.

Lee Adrianson

Great place to experience history, often hands-on.

Nick

Bryan V Spellman

Great slice of history! Take the family and have a wonderful time

Brenda Fisher

It is a awesome place to go. You cannot see it in just a couple of hours. Take and make a day of it.

Ryan Hite

Beautiful, clean fun. Always an enjoyable experience.

Chathurika Srimali Abeykoon

Good place to spend about 3 hours in downtown Indy. I think children can enjoy more than the adults and ticket feels but overpriced as a whole. Nature is well displayed and attractive.

Anne Dorrance

This was a great day out. Excellent exhibits and a great place to eat lunch.

Art Giebel

Interesting history ... captivating displays with interactive features everywhere. Wide variety with attention to details that might appeal to ages. Learned a lot. Could spend all day/weekend ... black/slave history, civil rights history, Indian history, amazing Lego art display, inventions, Civil War, fossil record with mammoths, mastodons, even camels in America! ... much, much more ... gives you a real appreciation for what was and is.

Sulu Chemo

I go here for the IMAX theater which is the best in the state. Also it seems like they got new seats which was definitely needed.

Tonya STRONG

Loved the black history part of the museum,,very very educational 4 everybody

john Ruiz

Random trip to Indy. We’ve been to the children’s museum a million times so we wanted to switch it up. Took my 5 year old here and he still had an excellent time with plenty interactive activities. The staff there was eager to teach him as we met them along the way! Great facility

Amanda S

Really loved it! So much to interact with esepcially for kids! Super clean and the imax was amazing!

Anonymous A Google User

It has something for everybody.

Terrence Enrique

Good place to learn Indiana history. And the farmers market cafe inside is surprisingly good! Usually the restaurant in museums are very expensive and the foods are not good. But this one is the contrary! It’s inexpensive and the food is very good! They serve fast too. Very impressive.

Alfredo Berti

The traveling exhibit in the third floor is merely fair but there's excellent historical content on the first two floors. Plenty of shade here to relax. We highly recommend a visit to the museum during your stay in Indianapolis.

Maria Perez

We were bored. Only a select few exhibits were interesting. Lots of wasted space. Spent 30 minutes and left. Not worth the cost at all. Park underground and get your ticket validated if you go.

Heather Rodriguez

Great place to learn about our state's history. The museum is clean, accessible with friendly & helpful staff. We also ate lunch there during our visit, nice variety including vegetarian & kid's meals.

Shannon D'Ambrosio

An awesome museum with an affordable entrance fee! They have a puzzle room which is really cool -- we spent a ton of time in there with two young children and had a blast. The employees are super nice and helpful, too!

Julie Whitacre

Great place to take the kids! Ended up buying a membership! People don't like going downtown because parking is very expensive but with a membership its free! Huge bonus!

Amber Alford

My daughter loves this museum! She was finally old enough to play in the exhibits. I'm really impressed with all the activities for young children.

Steven Ryan

Very nice place. A must see if you visit this area.

Jan Collins

I love the State Museum. Most people don't even think of this museum as being a place to go. It has some really cool exhibits that come through. The Titanic, The Tony Hawk exhibit, The Lincoln exhibit, and Star Wars. Some really neat stuff. The building is beautiful too. I also love the craft show every year. Some really cool vendors. The IMAX theatre is awesome too. They have music on the canal too. I am always amazed how much is offered here.

Ken .DeWalt

Very well done. Chronological displays with plenty if well displayed artifacts.

D Smith-Mutegi

Celebration Crossing offered a great opportunity for me and my toddler to explore this museum. The exhibits are interactive and appropriate for kids and adults of many ages. It is definitely worth the membership investment. This museum is also a partner with a local puppet show business.

Don Diego

I found the IN State Museum to be pretty typical of a major city's science & natural history museums. Natural history and some history on the 1st floor, and "cultural" on the 2nd (IN's history and exhibits from about 1700s to 1940). What I found above average was the geological history section, where the process of fossilization and geological studies was very well done. I learned a lot and I thought that I had already knew most of this. Admission is relatively expensive compared to other similar museums I've been to that have more exhibits and interaction. $5 underground garage parking with validation (bring your ticket with you to the museum), or free parking with purchase of an IMAX ticket.

J Bede

The IMAX is the best! Go multiple times a year to enjoy the new movies and documentaries they show.

Wen Han

This was a surprising gem located in the heart of Indianapolis. there were varied exhibits that taught me so much that I didn't know about the history of Indiana, ranging from prehistoric times beyond World War II. The most fascinating sections for me were the Native American, women's suffrage, and varied history of African-Americans as well as William Henry Harrison. There are traveling exhibits that are a must-see as well.

Nicole Jasperson

Great place for our 10 year old brother. We absolutely loved cardboard engineering. We scoped out the rest of the museum and didn't have time to stay, but ended up buying a membership since the 10 year old loved it so much. Lots to see and learn!

Tülay Ergin

This museum is classy. More suitable for kids over 4. Very educational place.

Michelle

Went for a school field trip. Kids had a great time. Staff was great

Susan Cohen

They offer free Wednesday evenings with activities on the canal for the summer. The activities are more for younger children but walking the canal is always a plus. The paddle boat rental on the other side sales ice cream. Parking was $8 for two hours. Our boys are 10 so we let them each bring a basketball. (Be careful not to drop it in the canal tho

j.j. Uding

Beautiful museum would definitely reccomend if your in the area. We spent hours there just walking through all the exhibits

phil hoff

We have a membership, and stop in for short visits, usually while doing something downtown. Nice place and we all enjoy it

Nancy Conner

Indiana State Museum hosted Asian Fest today. Great venue in our capital city!

Jamie Smith

Its a nice muesum, needs more hands on, AAA discount too.

Monika Bardell

Its a wonderfull place to learn about the history of earth and Indiana. So many details about fossils , rocks , minerals. Amazing.

Tara Hunter

I really enjoyed it, we will definitely be back! Can't wait to explore more. I really love the hands on experience and my 10 year old acted uninterested but got really into some of the exibits!

Fawzi Breidi

best place for kids and to waste a whole day. a lot of activities during the day so make sure you know the schedule of activities.

Zulneb Marie Pittman

Love this place! It is our second year attending the Asian Festival which Korea is the featured country this year. A lot to learn first hand about some of their culture. I love their dresses! These lovely folks wrote our names in Korean. Thank you!

Brad Mitchell

What a great place to take the kids! Learning about our state in a fun, interactive way! Love this place!

Hayden

I had the BEST time there! My school went on a fieldtrip there and had TONS of fun! It was enjoyable and amazing! I definitely recommend it!

James OHara

Not much to say it's a generic museum, not very memorable.

Thomas yarnell

The location is beautiful and looks good but it allows you to buy a ticket for a day they are closed. (Edit) Which is a problem when planing a trip from out of town

Amanda Swangin

Had a great time at the museum for my son's field trip. Staff were accommodating and exhibits were spacious. Gift shop pricey.

Heather M

Wanted to love the Cardboard exhibit but was underwhelmed- boxes are behind a rope, tape wasn't very sticky. That said, there's tons more to explore and I'm looking forward to it. The glimpses I caught were impressive. The Foucault Pendulum is wonderful.

Allison Hakes

So much to see! Great place to take your kids!!

Klyde Navallo

Great collection in the museum. Fantastic artwork

Thena Barcus

We visited here twice now...

Gregory Holman

Great place to take your kids to learn!

Erik G.

There's about 3 hours worth of entertainment here. There's better museums, but this was fine for the price. With how the parking situation is, you can easily visit the museums in the area or walk the canal. Lots of mammoths!

Victoria Weyser-Clark

An amazing museum. All exhibits are well curated, with presentations on the natural history first floor hands -on and engaging for all ages. The second floor Indiana history is also clearly presented with several interactive activities. A MUST GO BACK EXPERIENCE!

Abigail Thompson

Lots of fun, very interactive. Great for kids.

Bobbi Riesebeck

An amazing museum. All exhibits are well curated, with presentations on the natural history first floor hands -on and engaging for all ages. The second floor Indiana history is also clearly presented with several interactive activities.

Jennifer Abrell

Always a wonderful experience. So nice to be able to enjoy both the indoors and out. The food was delicious. I would go there just for that!

Elaine Short

Well worth the price of membership. Wheather inside or out, you will be mentally excited.

S. C. Sullivan- Musician, Teacher, & Writer

Great but doesn't change things much.

All Things Daisy !

Biggest Theatre screens. They don't have the new leather remote reclinable seats but the seats do recline a little. My toddler sons legs did not have enough weight to keep the seat down without me holding it a little and he's to big for a booster seat. Parking is in lower level is pricey $8 from 0-3 hours to start. They do not have real butter for popcorn only buttered salt ... Would go back for the screen size and the free movie we enjoyed as a prescreener.

Caitlin Hearn

Wonderful place for ALL ages! Could have spent the entire day here, even with a 1 year old walker.

Angela Paige

Better for older kids or ones that enjoy history and adults.

Ronald Greenwood

Nice clean place . wish it was alot bigger. And more movie options. The staff are helpful. Right near the canal. And parking is ideal.

Olorun Sumobi

Very intriguing sites, if you enjoy history or are considering coming here in the first place you'll most likely enjoy a visit.

Greg Henson

Amazing place A must visit for the whole family

Mary-Beth Western

Many wonderful exhibits that allowed kids to have fun while learning. Perfect for all ages!

Paula Johnson

So interesting and more fun than any grandparents & granddaughter can have. Five hours spent there and it still wasn't enough time. I expected it to be interesting with lots of been-there-done-that. That's not what this place was like. It was interesting topics expanded upon by interesting displays. Our 11 yr old granddaughter suggested this museum and just raved about how wonderful it was. She was right! 3 floors of wonderful!! Two things Google didn't tell us: *Park in the underground parking garage, take your parking ticket into the information desk, pay there & they give you a receipt for a discount when you pay for parking. *The cafeterias close at 2pm. Don't be late!!

Erica Johnson

Great outdoor sculptures and Grandfather clock

Heather Lamb

Very sad to see the Puppet Studio get displaced. It was the sole reason I visited this year.

Nathaniel Edmunds Photography

We've photographed countless events for and at the Indiana State Museum. We still find it amazing our state has a museum that is this SENSATIONAL. The architecture of this museum is amazing...modern yet intermixed with some historical facades that we're lucky have been preserved. It is in the heart of the museum campus along the canal which make it a perfect location for images. And...who wouldn't want to dine around an original Robert Indiana Sculpture!? Wow.

Jack Empire

Great place to learn about the history of Indiana.

Eric Zeman

We always walk through the museum whenever we see an Imax movie. It's pretty neat. You can walk through quickly in 15-20 minutes or stay awhile longer if you want to read and see everything.

Tara Mustain

Fun family outing. I was surprised how much kid friendly stuff was there. We ended up getting a membership to enjoy it a few more times this year.

T Proctor-Robinson

Awesome 3D experience. No lines.

Sarah Hartman

Very clean and well kept museum, staff and many locations to provide interactive exhibitions. There was a rock show going on while I was there. The ticket price was a little steep to get in the museum. Though there are geology, local habitat, fossil, and a large history exhibit in the museum.

Diane Coates

Very nice place for us oldies to the youngsters.

Martha Garcia

Nice museum, very kid friendly, clean, right by other museums.

Mariah Howell

It was ok. Nothing much about African American history. We went on a free day And visited the color exhibit where one of the male staff members watched us the whole time. Then after we left he had another staff member ask us for wrist bands. We told her it was free day and a lot of people didn’t have wrist bands. She did apologize but it was clearly because we were the only black people there.

Brachston Grubbs

Perfect place for kids or adults to spend a day learning

Praveen Reddy

Awesome place to hang out right beside the canal and white river and zoo

Finchellius Maximus

If you go I would check on what exhibits are on display. Also make sure no schools are visiting or go in the afternoon when schools are not there. Very cool they have a lot of Indiana history. However of course some misrepresentation of historical events in regards to Native Americans. Honestly its only worth visiting one time since their main exhibits do not change at all. even over several years.

Austin Graff

The Indiana State Museum is a large museum that walks visitors through the history of Indiana from the start of the universe to today. It's organized well and leads you through when ancient animals roamed Indiana. It then moves to more modern times showing the state's history, art, and culture. A few things to note: 1) Space: It's HUGE so budget many hours to soak it all in! 2) Location: It's near the Canal Walk and the State Capitol so when you're done, walk to both places. It's worth it! 3) Price: It is steep, but if you spend more than 3 hours here, it's worth the money. If you like history, go here. If you are with kids, they may get bored after an hour.

R G

We had a wonderful time at the museum. There is much to see and the staff was very helpful. We highly recommend a visit to the museum during your stay in Indianapolis.

Swapnil Ingale

It's a nice place visit when you are at Indianapolis

Stephanie Gregory

A bit pricey but nice displays and exhibits

Eric Farr

This is a great museum for all ages, especially if you're interested in the natural, cultural, or political history of the state. I keep coming back for that gorgeous IMAX experience at a great price. Huge screen, comfy seating, excellent sound, and the opportunity to view 70mm format films.

Chris Long

I'll give 3 stars for the exhibits. I took 2 away because the people working there leave a little to be desired.

Aaron f

Kind of surprised at how awesome this place is. Tons of fun for adults and kids. The admission price is reasonable for the amount that there is to see and do. Definitely consider the membership for free admission to other places of interest in Indiana.

Shallen King

Great place to take kids. Good learning experience

Zac Baker

Go and see it. Great history of the Indiana area. There was a phenomenal Lego exhibit as well. That won't be there forever. The history of the Indiana area however is a permanent installation and is very informative. It has a lot of great artifacts to see.

ANN FREE

It was very interesting enjoyed seeing all the cultural

Angela Brakke

Amazing such great exhibits I learn so much here.

Dalton Whitehead

Pretty interesting stuff, although there isnt much to see, there aren't many exibits

Katharine Tracey

Spent the afternoon, could have spent more time. Reciprocal entry with our hometown museum pass. Could have spent the day with just the dinosaurs. Learned Mammouths and Mastodons were not related. Who knew?

Heidi Melton

This review is for the ISM Cafe. The food at this Cafe is delicious. It's just a walk away from the JW and the heart of downtown. If you're looking for fresh food/ingredients and a spectacular view of the city you must visit the cafe!

allison wray

Not busy and really nice , could use a few updates on a few older exhibits but they have a great representation of the different Indiana regions

Leslie Morgan

It's an amazing museum.

Craig Vetor

Fun and interesting exhibits, friendly staff, and never overcrowded. It’s been a great place to let our two year old roam and explore. Also great food at the cafe. If you can, I’d recommend a membership here, which gives you access to parking at the canal, and many historical sites across Indiana. We certainly make many visits throughout the year.

Nicholas Lester

I love the State Museum. Most people don't even think of this museum as being a place to go. It has some really cool exhibits that come through. The Titanic, The Tony Hawk exhibit, The Lincoln exhibit, and Star Wars. Some really neat stuff. The building is beautiful too. I also love the craft show every year. Some really cool vendors. The IMAX theatre is awesome too. They have music on the canal too. I am always amazed how much is offered here.

Surisa Richardson

A must visit place in Indiana. The place for everyone! We thought it will be boring like other museums but alot of interactive for little kids. Especially the planet that can change to so many outcomes. Super cool. And they have the best & biggest IMAX intown Plus you can go out side to walk or do activities on the canal! Extra plus with cool activities all year round. Check their website.

Gisele Young

A bit of everything for everyone!! We focused on the mammoth area while visiting with 3 of our grandsons and their parents!!!

Dewayne Brattain

Me and my daughter and Jerry and Norma meet there to go in and to rediscover the past, we also liked to walk the canal after and to see the ducks and the cold fountain .

Ann Brown

Very spacious, 3 floors of exhibits. Imax theater recently renovated with better seating. Caters for several events. Here for a company funtion. Patio opens to Canal Walk.

Sherri Beck

History is the most best thing to know. Knowledge is the Key to Success. Smile Learning Is Great

Kyle Kosmider

Interesting exhibits depicting Indiana's history.

Daniel Bollman

Great exhibits at a very reasonable rate. We caught the IMAX film and lunch at the cafe and made a day of it. The Settling of Indiana exhibit was very informative with clever interactive activities.

Melinda Sundvall

The IMAX is a great experience. Very clean and the employees are great.

Matthew Gordon

I loved the IMAX theatre. My first time. Will not be my last.

Nathan Hoch

I recently visited for the first time and loved it. Great stuff on Indiana-specific geology and paleontology! I loved the concept of seeing the quarry on the second floor but underneath it on the first floor you find all of the geology and fossil stuff. It's like you "go under" the rocks to discover things

Brad McKinley

A good experience for older kids and adults. Kids younger than 10 will most likely enjoy the Indianapolis children's museum a little more. My experience was great. They even have an IMAX theater inside.

MK Streams

Really cool place, however, it was a little smaller than I had hoped for.

brian who

Lots of interesting things to see and learn about Indiana

Willie Riley

Greatest zoo in the United States! Nice layout, great landscaping, large selection of animals. Courteous employees, lots of snack choices, plenty of seating. Most striking is the amount of room for each animal display. The animals had so much room. Even though in captivity, the animals seemed happy and very well cared for. Great, outstanding zoo. Had to be the best in the United States!

Adam Lancour

Wonderful museum in a beautiful area of the city. Also home to an IMAX.

Chevelle396BB

Lived in Indy now for 3 years. Can't believe I haven't been there until a couple weeks ago. This is a must for anyone in the area. Was completely blown away with what the Indiana State Museum offered. Very nice facility, interesting exhibits, fair IMAX pricing and validated parking. Will definitely be back again!

James Brown

These folks need to seriously up their concessions game! On the bright side, they now offer reasonably priced craft beers! (I, on the other hand, am waiting for a good bloody mary.)

Eric Osborn

This was a surprising gem located in the heart of Indianapolis. there were varied exhibits that taught me so much that I didn't know about the history of Indiana, ranging from prehistoric times beyond World War II. The most fascinating sections for me were the Native American, women's suffrage, and varied history of African-Americans as well as William Henry Harrison. There are traveling exhibits that are a must-see as well.

Thomas Pattison

Very enjoyable day. They have exhibits showing very early years before Indiana was even known through current time. Some create your own art areas, an IMAX theater. Good day trip for anyone.

Jeffrey Newholm

Easily within walking distance of many other main attractions and hotels in Indianapolis, the state museum isn't the largest but contains much quality content. The traveling exhibit in the third floor is merely fair but there's excellent historical content on the first two floors. One can learn about our ancestors' heritage and the legacy of key figures of Indiana history. Perhaps a bit above the comprehension level of younger children but otherwise a great way for a family to spend two hours

Corey S

Nice, modern, large building, but it is rather empty. They need more displays and exhibits to justify the price. Thankfully it was free through my employer.

Lina Trestain

Exhibits were interesting and detailed enough to be intriguing. I always have liked I Spy and the first floor fossil and fauna exhibits felt a lot like I Spy. I particularly enjoyed the simulated peat bog texture on the floor near the end of the first floor section. The grab-n-go cooler of the restaurant left a lot to be desired. The food was expensive and I have never had to pay nearly fifteen dollars for a PB&J, brownie, and a bottle of water before. The sandwich was literally so dry it crunched in my mouth, which was repulsive. If I weren't so hungry I wouldn't have finished it.

Ray Chandler

Enjoyable experience. Fun interactive displays. Something for adults and children.

Miss Andrea Reads

This is quite a large museum, once you really start going through it. We've only gone on the free MLK Jr days. It's not terribly interesting for my 5, 8, and 11 year old boys but I think it's good for them. We enjoyed the cardboard play area. I'd rather go her by myself and take my time without kids, but I think they really try to make it kid friendly.

Jan CC

We came here to eat - we'll explore what looks to be a fascinating museum another time. Food was okay (soggy chips) to good (Cajun fries) to excellent (bacon cheeseburger), and the youngest asked for seconds of the chili. A bit expensive, normal for this sort of venue.

Andrea Washington

Kinda boring, but has some fun parts.

Jane Runge Darlage

We specifically visited to see the Annual Indiana Art Fair. Though smaller than previous years, it never fails to engage our teenagers, and my husband and I. There's always a wonderful variety of mediums to view, and the artists are always so fun to talk to, and really enjoy discussing their work. Plus it's always nice to pick up a fun trinket or two to take home for our "collection"!

Albert Wood

Good learning experience. This was a surprising gem located in the heart of Indianapolis.Excellent place for enjoyed with the family and friends

charlie brown

Very informative. Really liked the exhibits about the state history. Covered anything you can think about. Natural resources, industry, famous people, culture, heritage, artifacts, etc. even things not so glamorous like the KKK. But all part of the state's history. Had temporary exhibits that the kids really liked when we were there. Legos and cardboard engineering.

Colleen Piel

Way more interesting than I expected. They have a little bit of everything here with a good amount of interactive exhibits. The admission is kind of high, but we spent a long time here and learned a lot.

Rodney Campbell

Not a iMax theater feel. Wont ever think about going back. Real big inconvenience for parking and tons of walking for little kids if your taking your children to see a movie. I definitely do not recommend if your taking a toddler to watch movies there because they will be wore out from the hike to get there. They also dont serve butter like normal iMax theaters do with the dispenser.. its powder butter instead of liquid butter. The list if negatives is far to long.

Skud Missal

I can't tell you much about the inside, but the outside is always a favorite location when walking in the downtown area. There's a windy path that leads down to the canal, lined with large boulders and vegetation. Plenty of shade here to relax. Also, if you're a P-Goer, you'll find lots of nests around the area!

Robin Long

I love the State Museum. Most people don't even think of this museum as being a place to go. It has some really cool exhibits that come through. The Titanic, The Tony Hawk exhibit, The Lincoln exhibit, and Star Wars. Some really neat stuff. The building is beautiful too. I also love the craft show every year. Some really cool vendors. The IMAX theatre is awesome too. They have music on the canal too. I am always amazed how much is offered here.

Tammy De Rosier

Ron has a lot of good information

Sabna Pp

It helps to understand you about Indiana culture, and also have Imax screens ,enjoy canal walk also just nearby only,,and the night view are very beautiful

Jorama P

Very nice and fun. Went there for the Asian fest. Lots of venders and a good show

ALLISON CROUCH

This is always a unique experience. We enjoy the different exhibits both permanent and traveling. Our kids enjoyed the Lego exhibit and the cardboard engineering exhibit. The museum is currently prepping for the arrival of Santa and Mrs Clause!

Gentle John

I only attended the IMAX of the lunar landing. Very nice.

Peggy Bailey

Everyone should visit, be sure to see a movie on their IMAX screen.
