This place is small but full of wonder, and wonderful goodies! Souvenirs galore. And reasonably priced. And of course, the main attraction, train rides through some of the most beautiful countryside! I absolutely love this place and all the amazing volunteers who make the train rides special.

Not a museum The so called museum was just a glorified gift shop. Tried to buy tickets to ride the train on 3 different occasions thru out the day but they were closed each time. The staff were there but all the doors were locked! I finaly got there at the same time that the place was open and upon asking the ticket counter for tickets "sorry, were sold out" For real? I was like the 3rd or 4th customer thru the door and all the tickets were sold out. No posted store hours No info shared with the hotels AMATURE HOUR!

The display of old locomotives are nice but the train ride is rather long and tiring. The trolley was also having issues and there was no announcement or notice for people waiting in the little station next to the hotel.

Some members of our family had never been on a train and here in Southern Indiana there are no trains nearby so this trip was a great experience for them. There were some lovely sights and the train robbery was fun (corny, but cute) It's a great way to spend a day with your family. There are lots of great places to visit while you are in the area if you do your research online first and manage your time the train ride only requires a couple of hours.

Went for Day Out with Thomas two weekends in a row. Had a great time! Had twin 3 year olds and an 8 year old and they all had something fun to do! They still talk about it and we'll do it again this year!

More like zero stars. Missed the train by about 3 minutes. Refund? Nope. Tough. While they did offer a voucher, they were never able to fully explain why they needed to keep my money when we didn't go. Voucher? Nope. No reason to ever stop off here again with the way they treat paying customers. Whatever you do, DO NOT pay in advance! You'll never see those funds again.

This is not a museum. Mostly a small collection of rustic rail equipment. The people inside the depot were only interested in selling me tickets for the theme train. The hotel doorman was much more helpful with information on the history of the train cars. Update: We did the theme train. Not a huge fan, but the kids liked it. Tickets were pricey and the train cars needed some maintenance. I have changed my review to 3stars based mostly on the cute little trolley. Very fun and will take you between hotels.

This was a fun historical trip for our family. Only complaint I have was the train car was hot since I was holding an 18month old.

The train goes very slow and we just so happened to be on one of the unair- conditioned cars, made for a long, slow, very hot ride. The kids did not enjoy it, definitely not worth the money.

Great fun experience for all ages. I recommend visiting during the holiday period when they are offering the Polar Express experience with Christmas theme and actors portraying characters from the book and movie. Lots of fun for everyone.

Well our train broke down out in the middle of nowhere. Very hot that day last year 93 degrees out and they offered nothing to drink and had to wait an HR or longer for another junker to come pick us up. Not my pick of trips to ever take again..
