This Museum corresponds to the category of Museum.
Great place if you love comic books and the movies that followed. It will be moving to a larger facility in 2 weeks. Definitely worth a stop.
I really enjoyed my time at the hall of heroes today. Allen (the owner) was a super nice guy and he is basically a walking google of comic info and I learned a lot from him in my short visit. It’s incredible how much comic memorabilia is packed into the museum and I highly recommend a visit for any comic/toy collecting fan. I can’t wait to see the new location when it opens soon, apparently it’s going to be twice the size with an arcade and a ton of new collectibles.
Great selection of memorabilia. Staff is polite and knowledgeable. I wish you the best of luck in your new building.
It was a very pleasant and amazing experience. I recently just went there with my significant other a few days ago and we both really enjoyed it. It is a bit smaller than you would think but from speaking with a wonderful employee, they are moving to a bigger location soon. I loved the little trinkets and items around the place. This is a solid 10 out of 10 for any hero and villain fanatic would love.
Literally just someone's garage they've converted to a subpar toy aisle. My son LOVES superheros and fonds the good in everything and even he thought this was unimpressive. Save your money. It's not worth it. There's no parking behind this person's home, so if there's actually someone else visiting you'll have a hard time getting turned around.
A must-see for any comic book fan. They have more comic book collectibles and memorabilia than you can ever imagine, all in a small 2-story location. My personal favorites were the movie props and the section of first-appearances. Enjoy wandering the upper floor looking for references to even the most obscure comic book character. Friendly staff is knowledgeable and able to answer any questions you have about exhibits or characters.
Not at all what I was expecting. I mean, sure they have a lot of stuff, but it's more just a guys personal collection than a museum as it claims to be. Worth checking out, but don't expect to learn any history of the items on display.
Great for any comic book nerd.
This was awesome, I flew from Oregon to go visit this wonderful place. The owner was very knowledgeable and a cool dude all around. I wish I had more time while I was there. Definitely going to make a plan to go visit again. If you are into superheroes I recommend going to visit.
Small but packed full of neat items
Great place for family time
A great collection of comic items
Great stop on a roadtrip! Impressive collection and a very friendly owner.
This is my 11 year old's favorite museum. The curator, Allen Stewart is a great host and he has some great stories. We bring our friends and relatives here every time they visit us. You can enjoy the museum in 30 minutes or in 2 hours if you want to!
Great place if you like comics, superhero movies, or anything similar. It's the only one like it in the world. You'll love it.
Husband visited here and absolutely loved it!
Cool place
Great place to take the kids.
What a cool place to visit. It took me back to when I was a kid.
Items are well displayed, clean and you are greeted and given background information.
While the management is very excited to share the impressive collection of pop culture artifacts and collectibles the ultimate lack of a narrative, context and really any attribution makes the museum feel less like a museum dedicated to superheroes and more like a collection to consumerism comics culture. While I understand the museum will be reopening soon in a new location there's numbers or cases filled with action figures, busts and other objects of caring importance without context. Why do the Fantastic Four matter, why these Xmen, why have a collection of Kingdom Come toys? There's a barrier to fully appreciating the museum for the casual visitor (my partner who had less context or care about comics went through it quickly) and a museum that gives more space to a shirt from the Big Bang Theory than any creators beyond Stan Lee stands as an enditement to the continued corporate devaluation of the creators who often went with little or no credit or appreciation for years of effort made. The museum while boasting impressive objects like the Ghost Rider Hell cycle and Adam West's Batman costume lacks context and purpose that moves this from being a collection to visit into a museum worth traveling for. I hope that the larger space and more centralized location can make it feel less like a toy store where you can't purchase the majority of objects and more of a place that helps to explain why you like the characters in the first place and what they mean to you.
An amazing collection of all things Hero, past & present. Look forward to another visit when they move to their new location!
Man I wish I can go there.
Great memorabilia collection.
An absolutely amazing collection of super hero memorabilia! If you love super heroes and comic books this is a wonderful place to visit!
Very nice collection of comic and superhero memorabilia. Highlights include Cap's shield, Adam West's cowl, and some very rare x-men issues. Good way to spend an hour or so.
A great little find of comic book & super hero knowledge and collectibles! Super friendly.
You have to visit this place. The owner is awesome and full of knowledge. Also, everything in here is incredible.
Owner very friendly & informative. Lots to see for comic book & movie lovers. Would give it 5 stars if a bigger location (which they are trying to get). Will return to see it again!
Small place to visit but a lot of very cool stuff to see!
This place is too cool!
If you love comics you'll love this place. Its just cool to see all the stuff i wish i had. Lol
Love this Place
Worth the $6 admission. Really awesome place with a great collection if props, costumes, toys, games and more. Many items are unique and can't be found anywhere else.
Best owner ever very nice
Great little extra found on our vacation
Really enjoyed this. It is small, but the gentleman working there has lots of stories. Got some great pictures. I wouldn't fly to go see it, but it's a great pit stop if you're driving through!
Great place, my son and I both really enjoyed our tour, the caretaker was extremely nice and knowledgeable about all the collectibles on display. They have many one of a kind items from actual movies and television
Great experience. Best collection I've seen
This is a really neat museum. It is smaller then we anticipated but lots of interesting things.
Loads of fun with toys and movie memorabilia
My boys and I had fun! Can't wait to go back when they move into bigger space!
Lots of things I didn't know existed. Very cool place.
This is an awesome place for all superhero and comic book fans. Tons of cool memorabilia and great owner.
I like this place alot because it has many items related to the subjects I'm interested in. I have gone there twice and it's really exciting every time we go
Very cool place
Took my son. We both loved it!
This place is just amazing!!!!!
Small but very cool comic and movie collection!
Wonderful experience, worth the time and money, The car from Ironman and Adam West’s Batman suit were two of the big hits in my opinion. Would go again.
Santa with super heros, awesome time for my grand daughters
This was such an amazing experience! I was a little nervous after reading a few of the bad reviews on here, but I was blown away by the numerous exhibits and the presentation of them! The curator Allen Stewart definitely knew his stuff and was a joy to talk to. The museum, though small, is very organized and interesting! Any fan of superheroes will enjoy this gem. There are countless villians, heroes, and sidekicks, along with a few big displays and life-sized replicas of your favorite heroes! Whether you are a Marvel or DC fan, there's a huge variety. Also, it seems that there's quite a few exciting unveilings happening this July, so that is beyond exciting! I would highly recommend visiting Hall of Heroes if you thoroughly enjoy superheros
If you are in the area and a fan of comic books, this is a great stop.
Great fun. A nice stop to seem some fun memories.
Really fun time!
Some cool things here, but it's essentially, as some else have said, a garage full of toys.
Pretty cool place. The curator could tell a great story!
The husband says it was friendly and loving and interesting and awesome and brought out the kid in my heart. And the child said that she liked it and it was cool and they had a cat! We loved the batman stuff! And the Flash stuff! And it was awesome!
Love love love it. For the nerd in us all.
This really is the biggest collection of Marvel DC and super hero stuff. If you enjoy watching super hero movies the least bit you have to check this place out.
Awesome place to go especially you have kids and are a big kid yourself.
My son & I loved it! So many things to see. A very enjoyable trip.
Very small, but there is a lot of awesome stuff. Take your time to look at everything.
Too expensive for the experience.$6 adults $4 kids plus cost for pics with car/motorcycle.
Great collection of super hero things, gift shop was tiny, cool place to spend an hour checking things out
Outside looks is deceiving if the treasures inside!
Our family had a great time here and my husband and I enjoyed the memories brought back by the items on display. What a great collection! It's totally worth the trip and the extra to pose with the 65 Shelby Cobra from Iron Man and the Hell Cycle from Ghost Rider.
Very cool idea...he has tons of collectables with stories just as cool. He needs to move into a bigger building which I do believe that he is currently working on this. I am certain it will be amazing!
The new building has so much more stuff to see! Very cool place to go and check out!!
Great place to visit if you love super heroes and comic books. Very knowledgeable staff. It is definitely on the small side, but they pack a ton of interesting stuff in that small space. They are looking to move to a new place and we are definitely going to visit again when that happens.
Wonderful museum and staff. Lots to see
Small but interesting place. Costs $6 which seems a bit much for what's there. You can visit the gift shop for free. Be prepared to be overloaded with too much info as you step in the door to help you decide if it's worth it to pay the fee. They mean well have plans for expansion.
Great place for super hero fans. Adam West's Batman costume on display.
Amazing, cosplayers made it great for the holidays! My 82 year old father in law enjoyed it just as much as my 8 year old son :)
My son and I are both huge fans and we love this collection of comics and memorabilia dating back to the Golden Age.
Unique experience and for the true Super Hero fan. Cool collection of toys & memorabilia, especially the Batman collection. Good compliment to the Toy & Action Figure museum in Paul's Valley, OK. Glad I've seen both.
Love this place. It has amazing mementos of superhero stuff. If you enjoy superheroes then you'll love this place.
Great time would recommend a visit
Great superhero memorabilia lots to see must see
Visited May 2018. Super helpful staff, great history here. I was lucky enough to sit on the Ghostrider Motorcycle and see the actual Tont Stark car Ironman fell on! Have told all my actiona and superhero friends to find a way to visit. Will be even more incredible when they move to a larger facility.
Friendly staff awesome memorabilia. I’m a nerd, so definitely enjoyed myself.
George was amazing. Made the experience fun and enjoyable.
Great place. Nostalgia factor way high! The curator was super ( pun intended ) cool and knowledgeable. Highly suggested!
My brother loves this place!
Brought back awesome memories!
It is a garage next to a house. Very small. But neat items in there to see. Need to witness if you are a Marvel's, DC fan
Would not even rate it one star! After reading the reviews I even called them and ask them if it was just a garage full of stuff they said no it was a 2500 square foot museum. That was a joke it is a two story garage that may be 1200 square foot. Most of it is full of comic books and little figuring that you can get at McDonalds Kmart Walmart. The only surprise we got when we were there is watching the mouse walk across the floor. I highly suggest not going and wasting your time nor your hard earned money.
Truly a gem. I made the trip for my 7year old son, but ended up thoroughly enjoying myself. Excellent display of old and newer collectables and action figures, plus a few great surprises. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable , I enjoyed hearing the background on how they aquired many of their items. I highly recommend making the trip here....for the young and the young at heart. I'd give them more stars if I was able to.
If you like comics and super heros this is the place! Look at the building!!!
Great place to see super hero memorabilia from the past through the present
Small building. But is upgrading to a new facility with more room to display everything
It was cool with all sorts of marvel and dc
A hidden treasure in Elkhart County!! This place is known by comic enthusiasts, but needs to be know by more. Be one of the tens-of-thousands annually to enjoy a world-class collection of comic hero memorabilia here in Elkhart!!!
Would definitely want to go again
Great place for those comic book enthusiasts!
Wonderful place for anyone who likes comics and the owner is knowledgeable and kind.
Such a cool little place, we are definitely going back again and bring more family!
Great place to visit! Take the kids and relive your own childhood.
What a blast. Unassuming, but by far one of the coolest places for a comic or superhero fan to geek out.
It was amazing. We drove hours just to go there, worth it!
Awesome place!
Thanks
It was ok to visit, costumes were great, but not a repeat visit kind of place for me
We've been there before. Love this little museum. We took advantage of the free museum day, the boys didn't want to leave. GREAT COLLECTION
Husband was over the moon. Doesn't look like much from the outside to non-comic book people. My husband all but shrieked, "it's the Hall of Heroes!!" I stayed in the car because I didn't know what that meant. Husband was in the museum for almost two hours, and gushed to me for over an hour.
I wish there was alot more to see
It was amazing!! I went there with my grandpa and we thought it was awesome. With all of the superhero stuff and rare comics! The stuff looked nice and clean. I definitely recommend this for superhero fan.
Great collecting of comic hero's
It was cool to see such a big collection of collectables
An amazing spot! Cant wait to stop in again after!
If you are a comic fan, or loved the super hero shows from the 70s and 80s, then this is up your alley. Has a lot of super hero figures as well.
This was a epic experience. I love the fact that the owner actually operates the business & you can talk to him one on one about everything. Thanks again!
Good job great knowledgeable people
Neat spot. Fun things to see. A real blast from my past.
Nice little Museam with some cool memorabilia.
Has some rare and amazing super hero collectors items. Original movie props. A must see in the little town.
Great collection of comic and movie memorabilia
Small but cool place! Great collection! He has a lot of collectables you will only see there.
This place is beautiful. If you're a comic fan this place is a must see!
The owner had lots of displays and action figures. The Adam West cowl and suit with authentication letter was awesome!!
Fun! Even my wife enjoyed herself and she usually falls asleep during avengers. :)
Like this place. A lot of items to see. Especially like the Iron man Cobra, and Ghost Rider motorcycle. They even have a Captain America shield. Awesome place.
Amazing collection, and we had fun playing pinball!!
Great collection. Bad parking.
Widest variety and sheer amount of amazing comics, figurines, original costume pieces, and general paraphernalia I have ever seen. It was an absolutely spectacular experience.
If you love comic books, superhero movies, movie props, and everything and anything superheroes, THIS is the place to be! Truly a MUST see place! 5 stars all the way!!!
Cool place to see all different heroes. From comics to figures to movie props
This was fun for my six year old. And me too! It's a great collection of super hero comics and collectors items!
This place is like no other! So many Amazing, Wonderful things. From Amazing Spider-Man to Wonder Woman. The history is palpable. Have you ever seen the 1966 Batman costume that Adam West wore? That's just one if the many reasons to smile while you're here.
This is a superhero game heaven. So many comics, action figures and general memorabilia! Captain America's shield from The First Avenger, Green Lanterns ring, Ghost Riders motorcycle and the car Iron Man fell on in the first Iron Man. Well worth the trip!
Tons of memorabilia and the owner takes time to talk with everyone personally. If you like comics, you will love this place. Excited to see them expand.
Fun
It's not really a museum - just a guy's very extensive collection. Unless you're super into mainstream DC and Marvel probably not worth the expense.
Enjoyed seeing the growth of the characters over time!
Totally low rent. It's nothing more than a barn filled with someone's toys. You're not allowed to touch anything. There's a kid at the door who will gladly take your money and then quickly turns to his video games. When you wish him a nice day on your way out he just says "Yep." Take a walk down the toy aisle at your local Target store. You'll have a better experience.
This is really a place for only the true super hero/comic book fan. There are a few cool photo opportunities which were nice.
Wonderful and kind employees. A lot to learn
Every kids dream!!!
