My wife and I enjoyed this visit. Short trip from Indianapolis and well worth the historical and educational experience concerning the man Lew Wallace. Christian, writer, lawyer, soldier, inventor, hunter, fisherman, lover of books, artist, architect, politician, world traveler, husband, father, dreamer, etc. His study has many innovative features; such as combined gas and electric light fixtures. All wood used in the interior including furniture is of white oak. Beautiful landscaping, flowers and vegetation.

Learned a great deal about General Lew Wallace. He was a war hero, a renaissance man who wrote the novel Ben Hurr, the best seller of the 19th century. His study which he designed himself is amazing and surrounded by fabulous gardens. A wonderful day trip from Indy. The admission is very reasonable and the docent we met was wonderful. Highly recommended museum.

Went there as a clean-up volunteer for Civil War Trust's Park Day. Then watched video and had a guided tour. Deb & Stephanie were great tour guides; nice, well informed and knowledgeable. Thoroughly enjoyed.

What a nice fun little spot, tour guide is super knowledgeable and friendly, clean bathrooms and nice gift shop, all original stuff in the museum, nice break on our way home

I went there for a 4th grade field trip! It was awesome. I really enjoyed it. I learned a lot. It was also pretty cool because we saw 23 karot gold! I would recommend this to anybody who loves to learn!

Small flexible museum. Give tours when you arrive, short film, interesting small displays, interesting one room library with Gen Lew Wallace's personal objects. Small bookshop. That said this is a great place to visit for civil war buffs. The guide was knowledgeable. So glad I bumped into this.
