It was an amazing experience! My people of this land are beautiful! Please attend, learn, learn about yourself, and enjoy life. I most definitely am. I feel more connected to my land, people and myself. Thank you!✌️

Caitlyn Nix

This is one of my favorite museums. The art is wonderful and there are a lot of interactive pieces and family friendly areas that even kids can enjoy. Parking is great and staff is really friendly.

Steve Smith

What a wonderful facility. My wife and I visited last week and certainly enjoyed our time there. Staff is impeccably trained and friendly. Exhibits were thought-provoking and impressive. Displays were separated by type of art (play space for paintings, a space for baskets, Etc.) I personally found this to be well done. If you enjoy the culture of Native Americans or Western Art, it is not to be missed. Plan on spending two to three hours. Do not pass by the gift shop thinking it is probably full of standard gift shop trinkets. The content is impressive. We loved our visit, and have been talking about it with one another off and on since being there. Truth be told, it wasn't just a visit. It was an experience.

Ian McLaughlin

Beautiful artifacts and art. Paintings, photographs, and sculptures depicting native indigenous peoples.

Herbert Hopson

Concert was great.

Marian Martin

This collection is disgustingly good for those who are into modern western art. These people pretty much had it all. Wilson hurley, thomas Hart Benton, single digit cast remingtons. My favorite piece: Shelling Corn by Joseph Sharp. Incredible to see it in person. Check it out!

Winston Piohia

Great time on the semi private guided tour with Joanne Dankert, a volunteer docent.

Paul Ward

This was a great place with amazing exhibits. They also have a great kids section. We saw the Jingle Rails exhibit and it was totally worth it.

Sue Anderson

Absolutely could not have been more impressive!!! Beautifully done. Spent hours there. We are planning to take every one of our friends to see it. I'd say this should be on everyone's to-do list asap.

Brandon Elliott

Wonderful museum. Gorgeous works of art, and pieces both from actual Native Americans and from artists commemorating the old American West. Everything was presented in an incredibly respectful manner, and it was clear the museum employs and works with actual Native Americans to ensure pieces are presented in a respectful and accurate manner, rather than just as an old roadside oddity as has often been done in our nation's history. Overall this was a delightful and educational way to spend the afternoon.

Camilo Rozo

Let's just say that when I visit other art museums I hold it up to the standards of the Eiteljorg. Must be clean. Must be uncrowded. The art must not be some made up kindergarten splatter of paint on my mom's old kitchen counter. Check. Check. And check! At this Museum I found beautiful historical representations of what the wild west was once upon a time. The temporary installation of the time upon which I visited consisted of a network of model trains which between multiple plant-derived models of scenic American iconic locations like the Hoover Dam, I want to say Vegas but don't remember exactly, the Grand Canyon, etc. The native American art displayed here is also unrivaled. From modern interpretations, to traditional headdresses and sculptures. I RECOMMEND! The M.E.T. in NY has historical works of art, but is expensive and crowded. The Guggenheim actually feels a little dirty for being all white inside, and the PAMM in Miami, has too much of my mom's kitchen counter.

Wayne Deutsch

Great place to visit to see the other Nations

Brian Kirkwood

one of my favorite museums. An Indianapolis must visit.

Berseker Mayan

The Eiteljorg is a great museum experience. I particularly liked how the museum was set up in different sections, focusing on both history and aesthetic: the main level is art work that features Native Americans and the American West in the artwork itself, whether that artwork be from Native Americans or Americans of European decent. The second level transitions from being an art museum to a history museum, focused largely on the Native American tribes of Indiana and the region in general, but then transitions back to more of a focus on art, but art from the perspective of the Native American nations that were creating it. Finally, in the basement is a kid's museum, with interactive exhibits and a themed play area. There is also a rotating gallery on the main level - on our visit it featured contemporary Native American artwork. The cafe was surprisingly good, offering up familiar choices with a Southwestern and Mexican influence.

Kahaita Collins

Superficial. Barely dipped into true native american history before European intrusion.

Kelcey Dillon

Very beautiful art and an educational experience for the whole family

Phillip Hay

Very good museum. I wish we had more time.

Chantelle Rafaralahy

Wonderful place to explore diverse amount of culture. Great learning experience for the kids. We went when they were having the Indian festival. Native Americans had a beautiful exhibit there.

William Brooks

Summer under the sails. Wonderful.

Melody Ziehl

Very interesting and I learned a lot.

Lana Scherer

A wonderful asset to Indianapolis and it's visitors -- the Eiteljorg Museum showcases life from the perspective of the Native Americans and settlers through paintings, including Georgia O'Keeffe, plus artifacts, authentic Native American clothing and everyday items from the era's history. Well worth a visit.

Ron F Gmail

Everyone was very helpful

Cory Phifer

Wouldn't have been bad but it cost us $50 to get out of the parking garage.

Carla Dunbar

Me Carla and my dad Carl and my sonDakota really really like the train set up and everything made out of trees wood everything was really interesting and fun to visit

Belinda Cole

The Jingle Rails was fantastic! And so was the Wild West movies, actors, movie posters and costumes that the Western actors wore!!

Willeon X

It was an amazing experience and has changed since my last visit. I went to do a case study and a kind volunteer named Sharon gave me a more in-depth tour.

Tucker Weisbrod

Great time at a great place.

Moor dUb

Interesting place, the art itself is great, think the cover charge may be too high, although they do validate parking.

Frank Yario

Absolutely breathtaking and humbling.

Brad Hast

An interesting day trip museum. Majority of the exhibit details the history & culture of the Native Americans that lived in the Midwest region of the United States. The rest of the exhibits seem to detail the wild west cowboy culture/pop cowboy culture. It is a kid friendly venue ... they offer children friendly interactive exhibits. It would probably be a stretch to expect to stay a full day at the Museum. Realistically you could maybe get 3 to 4 hours out of a visit. A good day trip/weekend getaway destination.

Nick Wilcox

Was fortunate to chaperone a school field trip here and I'm glad I went. I learned so much about Native Americans from all regions of North America. The museum is laid out beautifully so you can see each piece on display without distraction. Exhibit halls are bright and wide open to really let you enjoy leaning about the particular display. The guides are knowledgeable and helpful. I really enjoyed the visit.

Dallas Cole

I completely love the Eiteljorg Museum. They have amazing art and great special exhibits. It is a really nice atmosphere and friendly staff. It's good for young and old, art lover and casual observers alike. Tonight there was free music outside. You can't beat that!

Michael Taillard

A very unique museum with lots of excellent works. Parking situation is a little odd, but definitely worth a visit.

Randy B

Had a great time today at the Indian Market.

Steven Keller

All the art there was great. All kinds of paintings, as well as statues, facts of history, and hands on stuff that you can check out. Lots of fun.

Gilbert Santana

A lot of painting based on cowboy and Indian. The painting start from 1900 until today. Some of the artist coming from Santa Fe and Taos. The 2nd floor is regular exhibition.

Jan Collins

We were attracted to the Eitejorg Museum by an advertisement we saw for their holiday train exhibit. What a wonderful surprise we got when we arrived. The museum is easily accessed by a underground parking garage. Once you go into the museum, it is clean, airy and the staff are friendly and professional. There is a great area that plays a wonderful tribute to western movies. The train exhibit was breathtaking. The art was so nice to look at with so many different exhibits that there is something for every person to enjoy. There is a really nice restaurant at the museum also. We will return.

John Brewed

Their day trip is awesome my niece love it so much, the guide is also nice and friendly enough to entertain my niece questions. Great experience highly recommended.

TheOldAndyC

Really good artwork and if you are going in the winter than you can visit there model trains based on a real life place somewhere in Europe . Also it is in a nice area and after you can visit the monument circle and go up to the top

Maria Perez

It’s basically an art gallery. Most, but not all art displayed depicts native Americans. Most people could not even come close to being able to afford any of the art that is for sale. A total waste of space and money. Not worth the ticket price. Felt like we were ripped off.

Darla Morales

An excellent museum. Loved it.

John Chambers

The Eiteljorg Museum is a great place to go see Native American artwork, that wasdone by Native Americans, Contemporary Western Artwork, and Western Artwork. My favorite were the various displays about Native Americans who served in the United States Military.

Espiridion Ocon

Got in a business trip in Indiana, and one of my colleague brought me to this place and I find the place very informative.

Jeanne Dunchus

It's ok...nice dedication to the American Indians and their art and history.

Lindsey Ungs

On certain nights they have free admission. We took advantage of this and enjoyed the lower portion of the museum with a 3 and 5 yr old. It was delightful. Then, we headed out back on the patio to enjoy music down by the water.

SHannOn SummiTT

Nice place wednesday free

Tes Carpenter

Glad for the area downstairs for children. The whole family can enjoy!

Susan Cohen

The Native American art and accompanying cultural and contextual information are important and fascinating. The Western art is also beautiful. We really enjoyed the Westerns (movies) exhibit, too. The museum gift shop is excellent. It was fun to have our photo taken with John Wayne as a keepsake of our visit!

adam strom

Extraordinary exhibitions on American Indian history, life, and art, not just in Indiana but across the US.

Larissa Blakley

Love it ❤️. It's a nice place to spend an afternoon if you like Western and Native American art and history.

Delray Shaffer

Beautiful and thought-provoking displays.

Pastor Jim Moon III

One of the best Native American history museums I've ever been able to attend.

Jaylen Fenderson

I don’t know if my expectations were off but this was NOT what I was expecting. I mean they barely dipped into the Native American lifestyle before European invasion. I wa expecting to learn a ton about why Europeans came over and how the Native American people tried t fight back or refused. It was very surface level. The focus was really on how cool can you paint a Native American person - or wow these mountains are so pretty - or nice patterns in your skirt. From personal research there seems to be so much that happened in the early 1600s. It would be great to focus more on than IMO.

Noreen Poorman

Always a great visit for out of town guests. Lunch was A+

Holly McDonald

I loved introducing my granddaughter to this amazing museum!

Rebel Angel

Beautiful exhibits, very knowledgeable and friendly staff!

Jay Cihla

Great museum and their cafe is great. If you park underground get your ticket validated at front desk

Michelle Jilg

I was SO excited to go to the museum when I first moved to Indy. I have to admit, I was pretty bummed when I went inside. I guess I was just expecting more.... The museum was nice but it’s mostly paintings - I was hoping to learn so much culture but that wasn’t the case. Plus side to the day I went, many native vendors where there selling crafts. I purchased a sweet peace pipe that’s sculpted as a bear. It’s the coolest!! The best part of that day was talking to all the native vendors.

Will Brown

Wonderful museum right in the heart of downtown. Whether you are from here or just visiting it is worth price of admission. Not to mention on a nice day there back patio is unbeatable.

June Bowens

We love the museum, and the cafe .They have live music on wednesday for the summer.

Ted Hertel

Excellent art exhibits, including Native American art and artifacts. The special exhibit entitled "The Reel West" displayed a lot of memorabilia from TV and movies. Well worth visiting.

Brandy Williams

Very informative, inclusive, and beautiful. The Grand Canyon triptych is worth the visit. Good cafe, and pleasant garden for a sunny day walk.

frumpgirlwins1

Wonderful grounds to explore, not just the inside of the museum. It backs right up to the Canal walk. So when you are finished exploring the museum, you can check out the Canal.

Alex Craig

Great exhibits, beautiful artwork!!! Great place for adults if you're like looking at art. May be a little stuffy for kids.

Ford Prefect

Beautiful woodwork and architecture in this museum. Great exhibits, including many recent works of talented artist, capturing the beauty and history of the West.

Rachel Koize

Absolutely fantastic museum - we spent a few hours there and still didn't get to see quite everything that we wanted to. Gorgeous paintings downstairs, but I would recommend starting with all the artwork upstairs (made by Native Americans and providing that authentic perspective). A few paintings moved me to tears, and many more were simply awe-inspiring. Definitely an experience I'll remember.

Kelli Andersen

A interesting museum. Jingle rails was up when I went. If you like trains, it's a must see.

Walt McDonald

Amazing Native American and Western Culture art. Craftsmanship is outstanding

Eric Amado

Good exhibits.

Martha Baum

One of the finest museums in Indianapolis. We planned an entire day to explore the museum along with the Canal and White River State Park. What a wonderful day.

Wayne Twp 4H Cara Kowal

Great place to visit. Special programs that they offer are worth checking out. To make it a day long outing plan on walking the canal and/or visiting the NCAA Hall of Champions as well.

Victoria Weyser-Clark

Entire experience wonderful, whether a first visit or a return visit. Always something new to discover.

Christina Petersen

Loved the museum! Plenty of places to sit down. Enjoyed the computer where you sit down and learn about the culture and making of Native American art. Did NOT like the school field trip students who ran around the museum unsupervised. Their guide couldn't keep them in line. The parents who came with the field trip as chaperons didn't help out to keep the group under control! Left early because of the field trip students!!!!

Arthur Wait

Small but impressive museum. Wonderful collection of paintings of the American West primarily from the 19th and early 20th century. Good, balanced exhibit on Indiana's native peoples as well.

Bobbi Riesebeck

The Native American art and accompanying cultural and contextual information are important and fascinating. The Western art is also beautiful. We really enjoyed the Westerns (movies) exhibit, too. The museum gift shop is excellent. It was fun to have our photo taken with John Wayne as a keepsake of our visit!

Jgsushi

Nice museum! Clean facilities and an excellent collection.

D

A lot of great paintings and artifacts.

Brenda O'Brien

A wonderful place to visit with my grandchildren! Informative staff.

Ami Jones

This place was great! Learn alot good place to take your kiddos

Toni Gilbert

Little disappointed. It had an awful lot of pictures. I would of liked more artifacts both Indian and western. What they had was interesting. But I didn't find answers to questions I had.

Amber Scott

Great museum. Love going to the events.

Kassi Kotkoski

Such a unique place.

Sara Trent

The museum is beautiful. I visited for the annual Indian market and festival. The presentations were fun and educational and there were lots of artists with beautiful things for sale. It was a great way to spend the day!

Gary Kosowan

Company Christmas party, food ok, organization of dining areas and lines poor, also attration organization very poor, parts of museum closed off and how to get to other parts that were open not clearly or not at all marked. Family was very disappointed

K M

Some of the most beautiful paintings and sculptures I have seen in my life. Such a low cost to visit for some of the best western art in Indiana, arguably the Midwest. Their exhibition on spaghetti westerns and the Christmas train exhibit were both worth the visit in themselves. This is one of my favorite museums in Indiana, always try to come back when they get a new exhibit.

Richard Maunder

A beautiful place to visit a lot of GOOD paintings and things to see. Thank you.

Nathaniel Edmunds Photography

Indianapolis is so lucky to have such a niche museum such as The Eiteljorg. First of all, the architecture is simplistic and perfect. The texture of the building and the woodwork makes for a creative backdrop for images. We've photographed many events here over the years, and have been honored to create so many beautiful memories for our clients.

Mack Gange

Native american history for the midwest, amazing!

Amelia Perkins

Wonderful yearly event ...Indian Festival and Market..2 days of excitement and joy

Becky Smith

Best tacos ever at the cafe. Museum is awsome

Sara Brooks

We went there for our daughter in law's bachelorette luncheon.

Owen Cook

This might be the best thing in all of Indiana. The museum is spacious, well laid-out, and comfortable. The art objects are varied, and in many cased beautiful and moving. The signage clearly lays out the context, the political subtext, and the cultural messages of the various objects in addition to the usual details about the artist. I lost myself in here for close to 3 hours, and could have spent longer. A superb museum!

Sarah Nicholson

Phenomenal museum. Earth science is very interactive and educational. I loved this place as a 28 year old, and my son loved it as a 6 year old. Great for all ages! Staff is kind and helpful, not too busy, and reasonably priced.

Beth McCully

So much beautiful paintings and artifacts. We eat on the patio over looking the canal. The food we bought at the museum's cafe was delicious. We enjoyed our day.

Nancy Groth

Nothing in traveling display area, which was about 1/3 of the museum, which was disappointing. However, we enjoyed both the display of actual wild west clothing worn by stars in movies and we enjoyed the area of Native American items on display. I also feel a lot of why Native people's are not in census records as native is explained well through the experience of the Miami People in Indiana. However, we felt disappointed that a large traveling display area was locked and empty. GREAT HANDICAPPED PARKING in garage underneath.

Jason White

Fantastic place for American Indian history. Pricey but it is a museum so the money is necessary.

Summer Fields

I started with an exhibit unpacking the definition of modern day Native American Art, and after found a new favorite artist here and learned a ton about him through a lively and engaging exhibit! Harry Fonseca, whose coyote are pictured. Highly recommend a stop! art of many genres.

R G

We highly recommend a visit to the museum doing your stay in Indianapolis. try to visit both this museum and the one next door.

Pryceless The Dawn

I enjoy seeing my story being told as i am indigenous to the land.

Diane Brow

Love this museum, but for a stop on a casual walk, $15 is a too much. Especially with a group. Otherwise, certainly worth seeing.

Jon Northrup

Loved it. Facinating.

Sarah Kiefer

The Jingle Rails exhibit was great. My 6 and 9 year old enjoyed it. They quickly lost interest in the rest of the exhibits. Would be great if they're either exhibits were more kid friendly or if we could just pay to see Jingle Rails. The adults liked all of the exhibits but were rushed by bored children. Gift shop was a hit.

Kurt Kriese

A fantastically curated and a diverse collection make this a must-see place in Indianapolis. The articles in the collections are beautiful and the architecture places everything in a space unlike any other. Our company had a Winter holiday dinner there and everyone loved it.

emi earhart

Was great learning about native american culture and seeing all the western inspired art and just learning about this country's history

Angela Campbell

It was a good museum, though fairly small. Definitely worth the price. Not really much by way of kid interaction. Geared more towards adults

C. Gabe Ramirez

Interesting mesuem, if you enjoy history and native American art work then you will enjoy this mesuem. Lots to see.

Sam S

We visited the Jingle Rails exhibit. It was the first time going to the museum. Parking was easy in the underground parking and they even validated our parking ticket. They also had a special exhibits for westerns which was neat.

carlito cole

I just go for the Indian festival. Love it.

Shawn Material

Very nice to see Native American art but it's not a for a toddler as I found out the hard way lol

Gary Osborne

Enjoyed the Jingle Rails exhibit at the Eiteljorg museum today. A fabulous and creative miniature of our beautiful city and some of our nations highlights too. There is still time to see it until about January 21st, and teachers get in free!

Alejandra Lozano Estrada

Amazing amazing museum!!! I feel like I stepped back in time and gained a new appreciation for native art! Definitely worth visiting.

Trudy Mayoros

Beautiful! Very varied with a lot of history. Great job, great museum!

Perry Merrity II

This was a thoughtful and enjoyable museum my wife and I decided to spend a little time at while we were visiting Indy. We didn't have much time to explore the town and we hoping to get a fuller experience in between conference workshops and managed to glide through the exhibits in less than 2 hours with plenty of time to sit and take things in as we went. Great spot to take a date (esp your spouse) or bring kids for a river rounded history lesson. The museum had a great narrative and didn't feel like it was too "THE WHITE MAN IS THE DEVIL" or "SAVAGES KILLED US" like Disney's Pocahontas. I especially appreciated the recent tales of service in the military and life in reservations in the last 100 years or so. It's a reminder that Native Americans are proud to be American, are a marginalized people, and have persevered in the face of adversity.

Anja Van Ostrand

Wonderful museum with educational and artistic exhibits. The cafe is worth the trip, too.

Perla Brown

Great museum! I’ve taken my kids, 3 and 8 month, we usually walk the art collections upstairs and visit the kids area downstairs. Not a really big museum but enough to see and enjoy. Also get the basket of fries if hungry, big basket to share! Food otherwise is kind of pricey (granted I am cheap so there’s that). The trains for Christmas is an awesome exhibit and worth it for little train lovers!

Shannon Fells

The tour we took was meh but visiting self guided was great.

Annie Wood

If you're in Indy, this is a great way to spend a few hours. The collections are extremely well curated and I really appreciated the educational components to better understand American Indian art.

Brady Mullis

Worth a trip, especially if you've never been. A good mix of art and history in a great package. Family friendly as well.

Bob Carnahan

We visit every Christmas time for the train setup, but very much enjoy the artworks and temporary exhibits as well.

Julie Moore

This museum is a wonderful mix of art, history, and artifacts. I felt that I learned a lot about Native American cultures by walking through the museum. There are many hands on activities throughout the museum like jigsaw puzzles of the art, learning to swaddle a baby with a cradle board, and creating a totem pole that reflects your family history. My husband and I don't have kids yet, but I can see this museum being a fun place for kids to visit and learn with the canal level including many kid-size interactive exhibits. Reasonably priced entrance fee with special rates - one being $2 off if you show a downtown Indianapolis hotel key card.

Allen

We took our boys here for a nice family day. The exhibits are quite extensive and very well kept. The staff was very friendly, there is a fun area for kids as well. Very informative and reasonably priced as well. We will definitely be back.

Jerred S

We attended the 2019 Native American Festival and Market. It was an amazing visit. The staff did a great job bringing in a wide variety of artists from around the country. We enjoyed meeting them, taking in the art and buying some gifts to take back home. After seeing the artists we enjoyed the museum itself and had a really nice experience. Being from Oklahoma, we were excited to see our home state so well represented in several of the galleries. Eiteljorg is gem in the city and a great way to see something and learn something in an afternoon.

Flavio Pesce

The presentations were fun and educational and there were lots of artists with beautiful things for sale. The signage clearly lays out the context, the political subtext, and the cultural messages of the various objects in addition to the usual details about the artist. We highly recommend a visit.

Linda Bibb

The Native American art and accompanying cultural and contextual information are important and fascinating. The Western art is also beautiful. We really enjoyed the Westerns (movies) exhibit, too. The museum gift shop is excellent. It was fun to have our photo taken with John Wayne as a keepsake of our visit!

Robert Chavez

Enjoyed an evening in here with my family after a game at victory field. Nice and cool and quiet my daughter (age 8) loved looking at all of the native American jewelry and baskets. Also enjoyed a free concert on the patio in the cafe. Can't wait to go back for a full day!

Ann Brown

Recent visit for company function. The art exhibits were beautifully placed in quiet relective areas. Lots of intricate wood work and mid western, native art to view. Restaurant and cafetera available. It is attached to the Indiana State Museum.

Kyle Kosmider

Lovely, relaxing way to spend an hour appreciating the talents of others.

Jack Leonard

Indianapolis was blessed when the idol George museum opened several years ago. My wife and I have been members since its opening, and we have gone regularly to visit there wonderful special collections. Now (2018) is an especially good time to go, because they have just refreshed their main collection. My only complaint is that is always hard to get my wife out of the gift shop. Oh, and they have very convenient underground parking for which they validatet tickets. at the main sales desk.

Brian Harlan

Indy is extremely fortunate to have a high calibre Native American museum in the Eiteljorg. If you love the American West and great Western art and artifacts it's worth your time to come here.

grimey 5.56

Jingle rails was absolutely amazing! Stunning work. Lots of good Western Art and memorabilia right now as well.

alias unkown

Wonderful experience! First time for my Mum, I'll take her again!

Mev A-M

We had a great time at this museum. My daughters enjoyed the train display and the train table that they had for small children to play with my husband also enjoyed his time looking at the bronze statues and paintings. I enjoyed their souvenir shop, the prices were reasonable and had a 25% discount on top of it. We were only able to be there for 45 minutes as it closed a bit earlier than what we anticipated. Overall we had a great time.

D. T. Whitney

This hidden gem in Indianapolis has a lot on offer from free music in the summer, to an annual market festival, and a Christmas train display. Further, The Eiteljorg Museum also boasts a great art collection and displays of cultural and historical items. Parents of young children will be pleased to find activities in the lower level including a totem pole, sod house, general store, and stage coach. I highly recommend the annual membership package which includes parking validation and is reasonably priced at $70 for a family pass (2018).

Robert Buckner

This is a great museum that covers a lot of Native American history and provides many examples of artwork by both Native Americans and other western inspired art. It has many several galleries devoted to painting and sculpture, historical perspectives, and a hands-on children's area to give younger ages entertainment. One gallery is usually devoted to temporary exhibits that have always been interesting. I recommend for all visitors to the Indianapolis area.

Ben Cirker

Really great museum with a wide variety of artwork, historical artifacts, and exhibits

jacob moss

Great museum, they even validate parking. Just wish it was open a bit later :/

Stacy Richardson

Super fun!! Catering staff was top notch!!!

Alli Farrington

The Eiteljorg Museum is AMAZING! There are interesting things for all ages. The crowning piece, personally, is The Grand Canyon, an enormous oil painting.

Brian Hammett

Pasi Mantyla

A gem of a cultural treasure hidden in plain sight. Collections are deep and wide encompassing art and anthropology. Very fitting building architecture and a rich store with great finds for all budgets. We highly recommend a visit of at least 3 hours immersed in cultural understanding.

Anna Sidoti

What a great museum! Loved our visit here.

yvonne pat

Outstanding!! First and only visit to Indiana.

Melissa Carter

Looked so nice, clean and not very busy. Everything looked very clean and well taken care of

Rita Jarvis

this is a real treasure for our state..just beautiful and informative..could spend All day there..

Ryan Wilhite

The Eiteljorg is a hidden treasure! They host great events (like Juneteenth), have a great space for kids, and the facility is right on the canal. The parking is convenient but so is the Cultural Trail if you'd like. With a cafe in the building, it's a convenient place for a family to spend the morning. Their exhibits are top-notch and they have friendly staff.

Jeff Casey

The museum on the second floor has excellent exhibits of Native American culture including the Eastern Woodland. The main floor is dedicated to the fine Arts of the West.

Robin Long

We were here for an Agave networking event on the canal and it was spectacular! The view is amazing, and the people were great. The staff was curious and helpful!

Sabna Pp

Located near to Indiana State museum, and can enjoy canal walk also,it tells us the story of red Indians ,how they evolved here, lifestyle and all.there is also some painting shows on weekends (we can also buy that time).they provide children's play area also

Marvin Hickmon

Its great! There was an inflatable walrus gut jacket and an Osage indian friendship blanket! One of the paintings looked like Wilford Brimley and the gift shop is awesome.

Bri Hinton

We opted to head to the Eiteljorg Museum instead of the Children's Museum-- I was being cheap hahaha. So needless to say it's very affordable to get in, memberships are reasonably priced and they offer several discounts if you are not a member. The cafe is a bit slow and the food is okay but super convenient. I enjoyed the exhibits and my children reaaaaaaaalllly enjoyed the kids area on the 2nd level. The kid's area if you have kids 0-11 is well worth the price especially during times the weather is bad. It's a nice place to let the kids burn off some energy for awhile.

Luke Seamon

We enjoyed the artwork.

Gentle John

Great music. Nice display of American art

Mark Willison

Great overall experience

Rudy

Very interesting collection of North American Indian art and artifacts. Reasonably priced and nicely laid out.

Amanda Hogg

Beautiful museum with a great collection of contemporary art and historical pieces. The native heritage of the Midwest is so important, yet not taught enough.

Joe Berti

Cool place to burn some time and learn something for once.
