REVIEWS OF Art Museum of Greater Lafayette IN Indiana

Nice, free museum. There was a good variety of art. The staff was very helpful and informative. She let us know about upcoming shows and exhibits. Not a super big museum but still had a good selection of art. There is a gift shop on the 2nd floor. Good for a nice quick visit. Lovely place in a good area.

I love the art

Lovely small art museum. They have a nice collection of local artwork as well as some rotating displays. Downstairs they do workshops and classes and upstairs there is a gift shop. I really like the collection of artwork there now all painted in Niches land trust sites!

Great little museum

While a smaller venue, the works displayed are many and vary widely. Exhibits change quarterly. A must item on your Lafayette to do list.

I love the outdoor zoo display they had this year. Can't wait to see what next summer has to offer at the art museum.

Very welcoming staff. I took a homecare client in for an enjoyable visit and we were glad that it was wheelchair accessable. Lovely exhibits. We will be returning.

Lovely little art center, free to explore! Appreciated the community center vibe. Pig and frog near the parking lot are the stars of the show though. One criticism, why is the surreal pig inside under a staircase near a bathroom? Let this star out in the world! Let him welcome local citizens with the legal pig and puzzle - color frog.

A lady there was very helpful and informative.

Great local museum that showcases local artists, young artists, and wing of more renown artists. Free to the public, with donations welcome. Small gift shop on the 2nd floor and some studios on the ground floor.

A must stop during a day trip to Lafayette.

One of Lafayette's hidden gems. Many of the exhibits are mesmerizing, especially the porcelain and ceramic artwork. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff.

Great Place!

Small local museum, but it actually has a decent amount of art throughout the building, and some very knowledgeable employees! Would love if they had evening hours at least once through the week (perhaps with some wine, anyone??) for those of us who work during the day.

Closed unexpectedly, and the staff make it sound like it's your fault for expecting to see art at an art museum.

Really cute. No entry fee. Frequently cycled showrooms.

Sometimes has interesting special showings on topic, styles, artists that interest me, although I do not always find reasons to visit many of their other offerings.

Very impressed with the Bicentennial show when I visited July 2016, as well as some of their permanent collection on view in a small gallery. Giftshop is very cute and prices are accessible to everyone, staff is very inviting and informed. In an area within walking distance of beautiful historic homes. Will visit again in the future.

There seems to always be something new at this museum. Exhibits rotate often enough that it's never stale. I especially enjoy opening nights when lots of folks attend and the Art League provides super refreshments. There are a wide range of classes for adults as well as children. The museum is free and open daily.

Best kept secret in Lafayette for culture. This place is literally too good for it's building. If you live here and haven't visited you must. You'll be impressed. And you've got nothing to lose as admission is free. But if you can, support then through a membership and enjoy free admission to hundreds of museums nationwide that aren't normally free.
