Nice little museum on the Rock Island Army base. They have around a thousand guns neatly mounted on the walls. Each weapon is numbered and there are books to look up the specifications. I tried using Google Lens to look up stuff but it didn't work. I imagine at some point there will be a better interactive system for learning about the exhibits.

It's small, but as a veteran I could spend hours there just looking at the firearms displays and reading the history. As a side note, the two cemeteries are right along the main road and well worth walking through and paying respect to the fallen.

One of the most cool museums I've ever seen. Wow...Smithsonian has nothing on this place. Staff very useful and helpful. If you're ever in the area, it's a must see.

Great place to visit. So much history in one location. Something for all family members. The lock operator is great. Video shows are very good. If you like weaponry of all kinds, they have it. Including a field artillery piece called the Atomic cannon and captured equipment from several wars.

A very interesting museum of weaponry and military history of Rock Island. It doesn't take a long time for a quick overview but to do a thorough inspection allow more time to dig into the source materials. An interactive scavenger hunt is available for the kids. Your visitor pass is good for a year if you are able to spend more time in the area - the architecture alone is worth the visit.

Fascinating history about Arsenal Island and the surrounding Mississippi River! Also, possibly the largest collection of firearms I've ever seen in my entire life! If you haven't been here for a while, or never been, you should check it out! The gift shop is gone; but rest of the museum has been updated fairly recently.

A BILLION DOLLARS worth of guns are contained in this museum. Not all the guns are on display. You get a great feeling walking around this place and learning about what made america great. The museum is located on an Island that has a rich history itself. If your a gun person and your in Moline or Rock Island you have to check this place out.

Great collection of Firearms! Plan extra time to get cleared through the visitors center. They perform a background check. Also you need to use the Moline entrance on to the island the one on the west end is closed.

It was extremely easy to get a visitor pass to get on the island. One of the officers that was taking our information was rude but other than that it was simple. The museum itself is great. Plenty of history to see and learn not only the weapons that we're manufactured but about the island itself.

If you can imagine a military handgun or rifle, it's on display here! They also have on display the larger weapons (cannons and artillery) that are or have been made at Rock Island Arsenal. It's worth a visit.

If you're looking for a look back in time to the History of the Arsenal you'll see this and much more. It's one of the many historical site on the Arsenal, take the time to visit them all you'll not be disappoint. If you're a hand gun / long rifle history buff you are not going to find a better display then one you'll find at the museum. There is a very nice display of WWII Equipment not very far from the Museum that is well worth your time, the folks at the museum desk can point you in the right direction. You may already past it on you way into museum.

You have to go to the Rock Island Arsenal Museum. There is a ton of history in one small area. While you are leaving stop by the Rock Island National Memorial and show the fallen you care.

The military base has plenty of history monuments. The base also has a sactuary for Bald Eagles and it is a beautiful site to see. They fly all around the base. A must see if you are in the area. Down town is also less than a mile from the entrance with plenty of bars and restaurants.
