On one of our trips we decided to venture off hwy 95 and visit St Gertrude Monastery. Without much signage on hwy95 we found this gem. The museum was insightful with the history of this mission. The chapel was a refreshing place to nurture ones soul through prayer and meditation. This is a “working” monastery that offers retreats for groups and individuals.

What a delightful walk thru some pure Idaho history! Thoroughly enjoyed myself. Staff was friendly and helpful and the museum was so clean. Will come again for sure!

Well done! The museum encompasses way more than just parochial history. They carefully trace, thru artifacts, the changing times, especially in business machines. I appreciate the godly atmosphere too.
