Interesting museum, it says TV but the focal point is the pioneer period. A lot of cool memorabilia. They even have a little scavenger hunt for kids. Cash only though so dont forget your wallet!

Karen Cook

Had a scavenger hunt for the kids to look for specific items which made it fun for them. Volunteers explained things in more detail to them.

Very knowledgeable and helpful curator. The history of TV makes up a smaller portion of this Idaho-centric museum. Definitely worth spending an hour here on your way to Yellowstone.

Collections included a lot of random stuff but there were definitely some gems and the kids had a good time there.

No tour guide, displays are a little lacking... Not very much info / display about being the birthplace of TV. More of a Rigby history museum. Kids ages 13-7 actually really enjoyed looking for the list of doodads though

Joshua VanOrman

It's got lots of fun little things but there doesn't seem to be a big single theme for the museum. The people who run it are fantastic and love what they do. They know all about all the things they have in there and they have a really fun little sacvanger hunt to look for certain things through the whole museum.

Brian Hunt

Enjoyed visiting on free day though we ended up making a donation before we left because it was such a good value. This is not a electronics/TV museum though. the TV section only makes up a small section and after the initial shock of wondering where the TVs were I found it to be an every excellent Pioneer Museum. There is a lot of local history here and few extremely rare items that I haven't seen in other museums. Worth a visit if you are in the area. Because, of the low visitor volume they do have unique hours so double check they will be open. Definitely worth a visit and I will visit it again when I have more time and know now what to expect.

I didnt actually get to go in here because it was too late in the evening, but it I on the Bucket List. . . The high rating is just based off of the fact that this place exhists.

Had no idea that Philo Farnsworth was the original designer of the tubes and other pieces that made T.V. possible. He also made other inventions such as using radio waves to get direction (later called radar). Held over 300 U.S. and foreign patents.
