Really great little museum. Honors those that served at home and abroad during WW2. Great interactive displays well worth learning about a perspective on the war that's not usually told.

Jake Heidt

Excellent presentation of history good people working there !!!

Sarah Pullen

New museum on St. Simon's with wonderful photos and interactive displays. I had no idea how much this coastal area contributed to the war efforts. Several areas where you could hear narratives from local citizens. To see everything I'd allow 1.5 hours.

Mike Jackson

Outstanding. Great history on Glynn county's contribution to the effort. Interactive displays. Well worth the visit

New Museum with Great Exhibits, Info Located in a restored 1930s Coast Guard station, the museum outlines the preparation of this US coastal community during WW2. From rationing and civil defense to wartime production and U-Boats , this museum does a great job of literally covering the waterfront of the wartime US. The story of two tankers sunk just off the coast by a German U-Boat and the establishment of an airship, Liberty ship yard and Radar training to combat wolfpack tactics are the highlights. A great mix of interactive AV and attractive displays. Coastal Georgia Historical Society hit a home run with this.

The Museum is wonderful, but they charged our WWII veteran $10 admission fee. REALLY? Not a fan of that decision. WWII vets are so rare and should be guests of any WWII museum.

Many people do NOT know of the intense involvement east coast residents had in WWII. This museum makes the history quite real with its methods of presentation - some with interactive displays, others by direct interviews with combat personnel. It was a time when ALL Americans pulled together as never since. It would do us all good to recall this period in America's history.

William Austin, Jr.

This Museum does an excellent job of making World War II history come alive. A place all locals as well as visitors should come learn and experience.

SW Moore

I'm not sure what I was expecting, but this little museum is packed with interesting photos, lots of information, user friendly interactive displays, etc. Plus, it's right at the main beach access, so you don't even have to go looking for it. The staff is friendly and helpful, but not obtrusive. Overall, a really nice experience.

Brand new handsome WW2 museum located near the coast. I really enjoyed the gorgeous layout of the exhibits; Each section has many interactive parts, and has carefully laced in as much of the local community involved before, during and after the war as possible - including many artifacts, photographs, audio and video interviews. Sadly we arrived about 40 minutes before closing time and had to zip through some of the more detailed displays - give yourself at least 90 minutes (or more) to fully appreciate what this museum has to offer!
