We've got all the feddbacks of real people who use the products of Museum of Design Atlanta (MODA) (Museum) in the state of Georgia.
Currently this firm has a score of 4.4 stars over 5 and this rating was based on 293 reviews.
You must have seen that its rating is high, and it's based on a very high number of scores, so we may think that the score is quite credible. If people have bothered to give their score when they are pleased, is that it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to give feddbacks when they are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Museum is classified in the category of Museum.
Awesome exhibits, super helpful staff.
Fantastic exhibit on food and sustainability in urban centres!
Cool exhibitions and great interactive activities.
Small space but unique and often interactive exhibits.
What an amazing place and concept. Our children loved it here and we will return for other exhibits. So glad to have a place like this in Atlanta. The only thing that would have made the experience better was if the facility was larger.
Complete rip off! We went in expecting more that just one small room! We paid $5 for me (student), $10 for my friend (also student but didn't have her ID). $15 USD total...the girl at the front gave us no information about the museum even though the building is huge. I feel very misled. Don't come here, it's not worth it.
A little gem in the heart of Midtown. Small but well-curated shows with interesting subjects. A nice add-on to a visit to the High Museum across the street or a wonderful experience all by itself. Frequent speaker events are worth noting.
Nice collection of modern artifacts. Helpful museum staff.
There were only 2 exhibits when I went, and they were pretty much random products with limited description
Lovely museum with two primary exhibits really and an interesting gift store. Currently there is a tribute to espresso machines that are lovely examples of form and function. Also, there is an interactive work focused upon the stories of all of us. Brilliant. Maybe a bit much to pay if you aren't into whatever is currently going on, but if you have kids ask about the membership option for them. Free for kids, and they bring an adult in free. Information was not volunteered--we had to ask.
Interesting work, didnt quite feel like it was as advertised--mostly just images and info on projects in poor and or rural communities. Important work, but not sure about calling it a museum.
Interesting, well maintained exhibit. A little high level and not in depth enough for my tastes but still well worth it.
Nice museum! The exhibits are very unique.
Great museum. I really liked the exhibit
Moda didn't care the most important . They hurst emotionally to my son 9 years old, it is not acceptable!!! He cryed for two days. Please parents be really careful. I should hear my friends. Emory is a much better option for robotic summer cam.
Interesting. The staff is enthusiastic and knowledgeable. But, a very small exhibit space. Although I think this would be difficult, I wish they had invested in a more complete experience.
Great building with a library and museum.
We saw the exhibit on wearable technology and it was very interesting! The lady at the front counter was extremely helpful and gave us all of the details we needed to enjoy our tour of the exhibit.
When people say it's small, it really is small. I ended up spending more time playing with Legos than looking at the exhibition. Also there is a charge.
Fun museum.
The concept is cute. It focuses on one exhibit at a time in a modern place. The venue used to be a parking deck. However, I left feeling a bit underwhelmed. I get what they were going for by having the exhibit in an intimate environment which allows it to distinguish itself from its counterparts. However, I left there wanting just a tad bit more. Which can be a good and a bad thing. Nevertheless, I'll be back in a month to check out there new exhibit :-)
Second sunday Fulton County residents get in for free. So we had a good time looking at all the exibits
Small. But interesting.
Beautiful building and often very interesting expositions happening there. My only issue is that most of the Museum staff are somehow rude and of seems unhappy or angry when clients asked for help.
A wonderful museum! Though it's small, it's always packed to the brim with a creative, thoughtful exhibit.
Awesome guitar exhibit called Wire and Wood is up now. Great show!
I like MODA
Nice
Highly recommend dropping in if you're nearby! Pictures are of the espresso exhibit.
A complete an absolute fraud! :( I don’t know if it always has been like that, but I paid $10 just to see literally 3 things. It wasn’t even a whole floor of exhibition. The girl that charged us didn’t even explain what we were paying for. I feel like it was a fraud just because of that.
Really busy and parking is quite a challenge. Beautiful space and artwork once you have.
Cool spot. Go learn some stuff.
Different but Beautiful
Cool place
I was absolutely enamored with their current exhibit on guitars and all the staff was so lovely. Definitely worth it, and I'd love to come again.
I had the pleasure of attending one of MODA’s amazing exhibits 50 years of Fashion Fair. This was my first time ever at MODA and I was impressed. This museum compared to The High is tiny but it has a lot of charm. The staff was great and the exhibit was very well done. Although it is very intimate it was just enough space to experience a wonderful exhibit. MODA is the only museum in the Southeast devoted exclusively to the study and celebration of all things design.
All of the exhibits were refreshing and thought provoking
I was really excited about visiting this museum and was disappointed at how small and limited the place was. It's only a couple rooms and one of them is a gift shop.

Excellen clases.
The museum is smaller than I expected, but I enjoyed the tour and Design for Social Impact Exhibit.
They always have really interesting exhibitions, and their tours are pretty awesome, they give you a lot of information that's not on the exhibitions themselves.
Trop stylé, j'ai vraiment kiffé fort ce musée.
Moda has the best Tech camps for kids in Atlanta. The team are amazing, patient, kind and super smart! My daughter loves MODA! Summer camps here we come!
This place is not large, but it's free, and it's so well done. Each area of the exhibit is interesting and interactive in some way. The people who work there are knowledgeable and courteous and fun to be around. The place is gorgeous, too - check out the bathrooms... seriously. Even the bathrooms reflect the love for design. No parking on site, but street parking is easy to find and is very cheap - just download the ParkMobile app and you'll be fine.
Small and quality of visit is entirely dependent on the particular exhibit at the time. Due to its small size, certainly can not complete or be compared with noteworthy design museums. Check the website before visiting. $10 admission, $5, both of which are high compared to what you see. Allot 10 to 15 minutes to see everything.
The exhibits were models and simple. It's too small and minor and not worth the time nor the ticket price
Interesting exhibits and an awesome gift shop!
I'm happy we have places like this in Atlanta.
Went to a fun 3D printing class, I was told that my design would only take about 1 month to finish, it has now been over 2 months and my project is still not complete. But I will say that when I call to inquire the staff is very helpful and friendly.
Incredible exhibit and really cool little spot!
It’s one floor and there is hardly anything there.
The displays were very inspiring
My siblings and I did a 3D printing class there. Very well organized, and great intro into what it takes to create a 3D design....I have a new and greater appreciation for 3D Designers :D
I had a wonderful experience during the christmas festivities. My son and wife enjoyed the tech activities, and i enjoyed the interactive exhibits.
An underrated treasure in ATL, serving some of the coolest, innovative art experiences.
Pretty pretentious, but it's a nice little space. They have nice workshops sometimes.
An excellent opportunity to experience design as art and all that it entails. Incredibly friendly staff members are often directly involved with installing exhibits so they are always up for a conversation and are more than willing to answer questions! With wonderful outreach programs for both adults and kids, this family friendly museum is an exquisite asset to the downtown Atlanta area and will be for many years to come.
This is my son's second design class and he enjoyed it very much. The instructors are very patient and passionate about teaching the classes. We're looking forward to joining more classes and design camps. The staff was very pleasant and welcoming. Thank you MODA for offering so many opportunities for children to enjoy.
Little museum but definitely worth the visit if you are in midtown. We had an couple hours to kill and there is a $5 student price. The craft and activism exhibit was lovely, and my friend started to teach me to crochet with the provided craft supplies. I plan to return when there is a new exhibit.
My family really enjoyed our time at this fascinating small Museum! It's just one floor, with one exhibit. But that exhibit packs a punch! When we were there, the theme was Playful Cities, and took in many different cities' initiatives to create spaces for the public to have fun in creative ways. We will definitely return on our next visit to Atlanta! One big plus is that they honored reciprocal membership we have with a museum in our hometown.
Fun museum with lots of hands-on experiences. They also have classes for 3-D printing, which is awesome. It isn't particularly big, but the videos and descriptions and thorough without being boring, and they have plenty of different themes and objects within each theme. They also have knowledgeable staff who will answer any questions you have. Great place for your inner inventor to go wild with imagination! I would not recommend this museum for small children (pre-k and below), but it could be fun for lightly older children.
Very small, but very well laid out. The current exhibit "craftivism" is amazing. The pricing is exceptionally reasonable and enticing especially when compared to the other museums in the area. It reflects the size of the museum, and the student discount is a bargain for the quality.
Very nice library
Cool little museum

Great
I took my Husband and Great Niece. We had a ball watching her expression when she discovered and learned something new. Take everyone you know. Great Quality time well spent.
An intimate museum dedicated to highlighting exceptional design.
Small, needs more exhibits. It was pleasant
Such an impressive and empowering exhibit, whatever is on display. It constantly shows how people question and challenge the status quo.
Awesome
Love this place
I was very impressed with this place.
Fun staff and (at the time I was there) great exhibits. Would be happy to come again when able.
I've lived in Atlanta for a while but didn't actually explore the museum of design until last week, and it was so worth it. it's a $5 entry fee but they have rotating exhibits that are always about something new and interesting! when I visited the espresso history exhibit was on display, and they had quite an extensive collection :)
Wish this place could be bigger!! Srsly tho... It's really small. Call ahead to ask info for the current exhibit.
Innovative
Atlanta's best museum
Had an event here and the staff was extremely helpful
Too expensive for one floor. Make sure you research the current exhibit, if not, you may not be happy. The gift store is the coolest part. It had journals and books about graphic design.
It's a single floor display, nothing much.
Great staff, but I was looking for museum with designer objects, rather than museum about the theory of design exhibits and pictures of those.
Tiny but has fun temporary exhibits
Alot of fun, great free experience on family appreciation day.
Great time for kids
Got to visit for free on family day and it was super cool, but it is really small. It has one for and only three exhibits and you can easily see it all in about 15 min, enjoy it all in less than an hour. If paying for a ticket, just be aware of it's size.
Love it
While small, it was a really nice museum. I enjoyed the focus on a single exhibit that rotates regularly. Highly recommend MODA.
Give yourself a few hours here. Well worth a visit, or better yet, a membership.
Went to a cool 3d printing class here
Awesome every time.
Does one exhibit at a time, but very well planned. Great place to spend 30-45 minutes. Offers a lot of fun classes that you can sign up for
I live down the street and go see every exhibit with the kids. Friendly, knowledgeable staff - and consistently great exhibits. If you’re local, get on the newsletter. Always cool stuff going on. If you’re from out of town, don’t go to The High without checking out MoDA
Second Sunday of the month is Family Fun Day (free admission for families) but this small but quite interesting design museum is worth a visit on any day. Located right across the street from the High Museum its in the perfect location to make it a day of cultural fun.
Small but amazing Museum it's an extremely rare technology focusing on Industrial design. Definitely worth a visit
Clean and informative
Very nice museum
It doesn't worst the money that I paid. They have one exabition, but I was told about it after I paid. Nothing interesting... Unfortunately...
Very interesting..
There's a student discount that's worth going. The exhibits are small and will likely take you about an hour, however they do change frequently.
The museum has a good location. It is located in the city center. Although the museum is not big but worth a visit.
Great exhibit! Loved seeing all of the guitars and videos.
Awesome
Fun!
I love the festival, people where very friendly.
A small nice well laid out one floor museum. The present exhibition is "Wire and Wood" running until September 2019 which is about guitars. It is informative and interactive with Spotify play list to songs played with each particular guitar type which I find innovative and interesting. It has a $10 admission fee an interesting shop with a range of classic design books, architecture models to birthday cards. You would spend between 30mins to an hour here. Opposite this museum is the Woodruff Arts center containing the High museum of Art
Beautiful little pearl of architecture show. You will find like 10 different huge programs. Usually ONG building complex in the most diverse climate, necessities and budget. Give it a chance. You will be surprised! Very interesting shop there too. The people is super nice and ready to help you.
LOVE Museum of Design Atlanta! Gteat exhibits, great staff and great classes!! My kids love their weekend classes and all of their camps. Such a great way to inspire learning.
Lots of coffee makers and you get some coffee too. Good thing to check out if you've seen the High like ten times already though the big ole art room never gets old.
Loved the exhibition on the future of food!
Engaging exhibition
Visited on a 'Free Family' Sunday and am glad we did as I was underwhelmed by the exhibit. Couched as an engineering and music exhibit, there were only 3 interactive displays that all of the people (mainly kids) crowded around in 3 medium-sized rooms on a single floor. I'm not sure if there's a 2nd floor and/or if it has exhibits during a regular viewing day (admission fee). On the bright side, my 8-yr was amazed at the typewriter, but so were all the other kids and there wasn't any time limits imposed on playing with them. If you took away the add-on engineering exhibits, you could probably walk around, read every word on the walls and see the handful of building models in under an hour. All in all, I'd say this is really a good place if you're either in the industry or really into design/architecture, and/or if you'd like to get a book on the subject.
Always impressed with their exhibitions. Still wish they had more MODA branded things on sale, but in due time. Definitely worth a visit if you're already at the High.
Really interesting museum. Loved the exhibits on 3d printing.
Great exhibits for electric guitar and most famous guitar players.
We loved the espresso machines
Really awesome place! I just wish the exhibits were longer. Will definitely come again
Pretty cool place. Single-exhibit museum that has other fun stuff going on — they had a design sprint workshop going on during my visit.
great museum that is convenient and cheap with a different theme all the time with a great location
Small museum
Nice galleries on wearable designs.
Extremely small exhibit space (3 rooms). No permanent collection. MODA offers a free Design Club membership for unlimited free admission for children (age 0-17) and an accompanying adult. Even if you don't have kids, visit on the Family Free days - every second Saturday of the month. FYI: The High Museum is located directly across the street from MODA. The High Museum charges $14.50/person to view - let's say - 50 enormous exhibit spaces. MODA charges $10/person to view 3 small exhibit rooms.
I had the opportunity to visit MODA to preview the Inspiring Beauty 50 Years Of Ebony Fashion Fair. MODA is located in midtown Atlanta and is easily accessible. Staff members were very friendly and helpful. The exhibit is wonderful as well.
Small museum but interesting works
Fantastic, thought provoking exhibits. Educators get admission discounts!!
Small but powerful! Go.
Nice museum, but the ticket price is a little much compared to the size of the exhibit
Nice quaint museum for Civil engineering and industrial development bluffs! Models, hands on activities, and cool videos are all a part of the experience!
As I approached I saw four Eames shell chairs in the window and knew I was in the right place. I went in to take a closer look and discovered they were knockoffs. It's simply shameful that this place would call themselves a museum of design and not get authentic Herman Miller Eames chairs. Was this intentional or simply misguided? To participate in the knockoff market cheapens the value that Herman Miller and Charles and Ray Eames added to all of our lives and illustrates the ignorance that most people have about modern design. I'm shocked it would happen in this context.
Very interesting and entertaining
Great exhibit on guitar design, in progress
Always has awesome displays
Interesting exhibits, excellent museum talks, and lots of kids activities.
Our Tour guide, Brigid, was very helpful. The exhibition was very fun! We will be back!
Nice museum! Beautiful place!
Very small but good exhibits.
