REVIEWS OF Michael C. Carlos Museum IN Georgia

Wolf Strife

A fantastic museum, small, yet it has an excellent collection. And the gift shop is surprisingly awesome too, great prices and a great selection of books, jewelry and all that kind of stuff. The security is a bit distracting, and trying to park and getting to the museum is a bit of a hassle, but other than that, this is a great museum!

Sara Register

A superior collection in a small, walkable space. You don't feel like you'll miss anything like you do with huge museums. Just really excellent. I love that you can get up close to the Egyptian artifacts. I've brought my daughter and my students here and everyone comes away amazed. Quality gift shop too!

Emily Myerscough

A relatively small museum with a great collection. Always a fascinating trip. Not particularly "interactive", so perhaps not the best for small children, but as an adult I love it.

gohappypanda1

Beautiful museum. The Native American and Egyptian exhibits are stellar. Spent about 2-3 hours here for a $8 admission which has been well worth it. The only disappointment was that they removed the crocodile artifacts. Only con is they need better signage to locate the museum.

Mindy grubbs

My boys had such a great time looking at mummys, parking was tricky but I expected that being it was on a college campus

Elias Martinez

There were dead people here

ed Vasquez

My wife and I accompanied our granddaughter's gifted class fieldtrip today and had an amazing time! The artifacts were well displayed and labeled but the highlight was having Marjorie Ingram as our guide. Her knowledge and expertise made for a very enlightening experience. We will definitely be returning with the rest of our family in the near future and would love to have Marjorie as our guide again. Ed & Becky Vazquez, Bethlehem GA

Always a favorite! For years we have enjoyed the MCCM because of the depth of the artifacts and the exhibits offered throughout the year. Its inexpensive to tour and its a welcome respite from the everyday busy world. Steeped in Ancient Egyptian, Nubian and Asian art experiences one walks away with a renewed appreciation for museums and all they provide.

Lindsay Davis

Great museum. It was bigger than I expected, a good size for kids. Loved the audio tour. The entire family enjoyed it.

tamyra zachery

If you like museums.... you will love Carlos!

shady patterson

Fahamu's show was so good!

JEWELL CARTER

Very nice. Friendly and helpful staff.

Rebecca Cristante

A lovely way to spend a hour or two, and emory eateries are a 5 or 10 min walk from museum parking. Our favorite art piece is actually tucked in the woods behind the back entrance and free to see. 4 stars instead of five because the ticket prices are a little high...

Jeff Craton

Beautiful museum and location. We loved the permanent exhibits (Egypt and South America) but couldn't get excited about the "Allegory and Faith" exhibit. Great place for home schoolers.

April Gregory

This place is such a Hidden Gem. This museum is cool as hell.

Charles Corbin

Wonderful and Culturally diverse

Steven Seng

Incredible Museum, dont miss it when you are at Emory!

Gil ben

8 and 6 year old enjoyed as well as the wife and I... 4 year old not so much... not very many artifacts but still worth looking at. Actually have mummified artifacts. Nice!!!!

Brandy Steele

Fantastic experience visiting this hidden gem. Seriously, how did I not know about this place?! Great collection of timeless treasures. Very educational. The guides were beyond amazing.

David Amster

Amazingly good museum! World-class collection of Greek and Roman ancient art. A small collection, but carefully hand-picked gems. I spent most of my time looking at the classical collection, but the Pre-Columbian and Egyptian pieces were also excellent, as was the special exhibition of contemporary painting. If you’re visiting Atlanta, don’t miss it! It’s a bit of a hike, but well worth the trouble.

Sandra Hughes

A remarkable Museum with excellent educational programs and activities for adults and children.

transformers forever

I went with my sister and me and her and security guard seen a fog like ghost walk around couldn't explain but I seen it and the security guard!

Christel Nicholson- Morris

This is a hidden treasure on the Emory University campus. A delightful collection of Egyptian artifacts, including real mummies. The section of The Americas is also grand. Just think how many smart, dedicated, determined individuals it took to discover, protect, transport, negotiate for, and house these thousands of ancient artifacts and relics so you and I can leisurely walk through, oohing and ahing! Amazing!

Scott Fields

World class ancient art. Like a mini Met of antiquities. Classical, Egyptian, Pre-Columbian, African, etc.

Jamar Johnson

It's a great place and the staff is very professional.

Meagan Rayfield

My husband and I attend college and for a requirement for one of our classes we had to attend this museum and answer a stack of questions and take photos. We have two small children who we brought with us, I do understand it’s not an ideal place for children, but when you don’t live around family and friends you do what you need to do, especially in our case trying to get good grades in college as well as working full time. A woman there made multiple rude gestures and rude comments towards my children, as if we brought them there for fun. I suppose the binders and writing things down wasn’t a hint for her as to why we were there. We ran into her over a few times and every time she made us extremely uncomfortable with her poor attitude. Then after dealing with her all day, a security guard was very uneasy and made comments about our backpack, which was a diaper bag, hence with my one and two year old it is needed any time we leave the house. She said we could not have it, so are we supposed to walk a mile back to the parking garage every time we have to change his diaper? I understand a museme is not the place for children, but given my families circumstances and just trying to complete a project for school, the attitude of the security guard along with the people at the museum was far beyond ridiculous and down right disrespectful. I will not be returning to this museum and I can guarantee you the woman who was so rude to my ONE YEAR OLD has never had children or grandchildren. Thank you for ruining our day.

Bela G.

A small but enjoyable museum.

tYRannE liBRa

Pretty good collection of artifacts. Quite a few mummies. But, it's a small museum overall. You do get free admission on some Sundays so keep checking their website.

Ima Daniel

Beautiful and impressive collection on Egyptian art and mummies. Really enjoyed this museum.

Camille Sabino

It's been years since I've been to a museum and I had a great experience. Great collection of Greek, native american and Egyptian artifacts. I was so happy to see also the Rosetta stone (though a copy of course.) The gift shop is amazing and i even bought a book on the famous Rosetta stone.

Fran Blackwell

Great adventure, just wished that the headphone system had been working. I was sitting in a wheelchair and found most of the Museum wheelchair friendly.

Kathleen Crank

Great hands-on activities to engage children.

Nikki R.

If you enjoy ancient history, you'll love it here! Small, but the exhibits are awesome, and so is the gift shop.

Ly Archer

Really great museum with some fascinating pieces and friendly staff.

rafa mora

Amazing experience. I really loved the Egyptian mummies and the greek/roman statues.

Ashley Johnson

Ms.Pam Rivers gave us a great experience there. I recommend anybody to take their family

Terron Phillips

Love this little museum. Not really a popular place so it's always quiet so you can take you time and enjoy yourself.

Kristina Batista

We come here on the free days they offer every once in a while. We're homeschoolers and really enjoy seeing the cool displays of history and art. The kid's favorites are the mummies. There's also a little laminated guide on a key ring that you can take home with you with information about the exhibits. Definitely worth it for homeschoolers! There's a little area outside where the kids can run and play afterwards, and everyone can have a picnic lunch. There is parking that you pay for, though. It's really the only negative.

Cameron Herting

Was there for a gala dinner. Wonderful venue. The artwork I saw was beautiful.

Rambal Fuenmayor

I really enjoy this museum, it's small but it have a lot of interesting stuff from many places like South America, Egypt, Africa and others.

Alicia Butler

Great display of artifacts...Really enjoyed my time exploring there. Great day date place

JSE Jeffy

This museum is such a national treasure. When my twelve (12) year old son viewed several of the five (5)- I think- mummies encased there, he said the museum did an okay job recreating them. I exclaimed, "What?! These are real mummies! They have not been recreated!" He expected to see perfectly white gauze petrified corpses as he had viewed in movies. He could not fathom that someone long ago had spent countless hours digging through tons of sand to uncover these priceless artifacts that now were so carefully preserved for us to see! Thank you Michael C. Carlos!

Jon Holland

Fantastic learning atmosphere. Polite staff. I always look forward to spending time at the Carlos.

Mark Denham

We went free with a library pass. They have an excellent take home guide for the kids and the kids loved seeing real mummies. There are not a lot of hands on stuff for the kids to do however. The grownups enjoyed everything as well. The bookstore is great too.

Lady Rice

This was a neat experience! We did the groupon deal that provides and audio tour. My children had a great time as well. Very educational. The campus is also very beautiful!

chichristina

Fantastic little museum! They have some really great pieces and the best collection of mummies/ancient Egyptian art I've ever seen!

Kennedy McGruder

Very informative. Great for a family visit.

Kathy Seybert

Tons of cool Egyptian things, some of which are 6000 years old! Great museum right on the Emory campus.

Tara Young

It was very interesting. Two things I really like is Egypt and Greece. If the mummy are real than wow just amazing to see for the first time.

Karen Hauck

Maybe the MCCM isn’t as big as some museums, but it is a jewel!! A perfectly cut and polished diamond!! I was there yesterday. I was there once before and saw Ramses I before he went home. I was short on time so my goal was the see the Divine Feline exhibit and to revisit the permanent collection. I’ll see the rest of the museum next time. The Divine Feline exhibit, from the Brooklyn Museum was extremely good; well chosen pieces, displayed magnificently! The permanent collection was indescribably awesome; beautifully laid out, well lighted, and worth a trip to Atlanta! I was able to observe two docents, each with a group of school children. Their knowledge of Ancient Egypt, and of the collection was impeccable!! All the people working there that I came into contact with were so kind, polite, friendly, helpful!! I especially enjoyed meeting Brent in the bookstore/gift shop!!

Keisha Rochford

It was one of the best experiences, very interesting exhibitions. Loved the Egyptian Display!!!

Leighana Hendricks

Small...you can see it all in less than an hour...pretty Emory campus

Justin Cissell

The collection is lighted appropriately and clearly labeled, and the artifacts are world class and among the best I’ve seen anywhere. Absolutely incredible. I wish the parking was either closer or less expensive but I’m sure that is a university policy and little to do with the museum itself. Staff was polite. This was the highlight of my visit to Atlanta and I had never even heard of it

Jay Edwards

Awesome family experience, we learned so much.

Shannon Salaam

This was an awesome family day out. Fun and educational!

Andrew Marton

This museum is a hidden gem. Small, cheaper, and quick to tour through but with some incredible artifacts and art, including mummies. Well worth a stop at Emory along with a walk around campus if you're in Atlanta.

Bob Bernhart

Second time there. Great. I visit every time I am in Atlanta. Alwsys stimulating always refreshing.

Kelly Mendoza Paz

Very interesting. I liked the bookstore. Recommended!

Deidria Davis

It was awesome but I didn't get to see the African exhibits because it was under construction.

Andrey Kostyushko

The M.C.C museum is such an amazing archive. It is truly a plethora of hidden gems. I felt transported back in time viewing the Egyptian mummies, seeing Judean earthenware, and viewing the African craftsmanship. Although I didn't get to tour the entire museum, I do intend to return in the future.

Erica Larsh

Our homeschool family enjoys visiting this museum every few years. This year the featured exhibit was Cats. We went on a Friday in October. It was very crowded with school groups. The docent assigned to our tour was nice, but he had a very heavy accent and unfortunately the children could not understand about 75% of what he said.

Vick Long

Interesting collection of artifacts presented in a setting that spurs one's curiosity and appreciation.

Chaundria Campos

This museum was filled with interesting artifacts. It's affordable, has a coffee shop and gift shop with occasional promotions. The location makes a 25 minute drive into a nearly hour long one but the sights are well worth it!

Mary G

Really fun exhibits to explore! I love how the exhibits take you throughout the world and throughout time. I got to explore some art that I had never even seen before. Really great!

Ford Prefect

What a beautiful museum. The fantastic artistry through thousands of years is humbling. It has a way of puting us on the same page as those who have gone before us.

Wade DeHart

Great place! Our guide was knowledgeable and able to answer questions! Affordable too.

Brianne Patton

This was such an amazing museum. A professor of mine went to Emory and talked about this museum all the time. I'm so glad I finally made it! The layout was ideal for seeing everything and the displays looked perfect.

Sharon Parker

It's fascinating

Mariam Mohammed

Very nice Museum within the Emory Uni campus. We were there fpr 2 hours and still had half of the museum left to explore. Lovely history and artificats. Even my little ones enjoyed it, though I had to remind them not to touch.

Brendan Harris

Very big collection with informative descriptions. I spent many hours here.

Tim Knisely

Great for kids and adults that grew up watching the Muppets...Puppet show and interactive museum worth the price......

Racheli Rivkin-Naor

We participated in a lantern parade preparation workshop and it was great! Fun and professional:)

Diana Lyn Steffler-Davis

Interesting to see. Lots of Egyptian pieces. Did the tour with audio it was very informative. Helpful for insight into the displays.

Grant Mooney

Thoroughly enjoyed the museum! My student seemed to like the exhibition as well.

Emory Hancock

Amazing and little known. This place can be overshadowed by Fernbank, but it's a great museum that adds to Atlanta.

Mari

I haven't been to many museums in the Atlanta area to compare with, but overall it was enjoyable. Parking is free if you stay less then an hour. Otherwise it's something like $6/2 hours. I got free passes from the library, which I would suggest getting. There is a lot of reading on the exhibits in small print, the grounds are kept in pristine condition, a bookstore is located inside the entrance that you can brose for free. Photography is restricted in some areas, flash is prohibited.

Jem Brown

This place is HUGE! I didnt expect it to be such an amzing place , however I was definitely impressed. My family's experience here was well, we will return.

reginute krymcevas

Great Museum. Kind staff.

Hunter Yearwood

Fantastic art here I want to go back again soon

Leedah T.

Great place to visit. Not much parking unless you want to pay. I suggest arriving right before closing time and just parking in the one hour free parking on a side street and just walking the short distance their. If you move quick, you can see everything in the hour before your free parking expires. FYI, Most public libraries give a free pass to the museum for up to 6 people at no charge.

Karen Martin

Excellent and educational. Fascinating displays.

Chloe Pak

The exhibits of historical artifacts are fascinating and informative. Highly recommend.

Hijabi_Mana

Wonderful museum; the artifacts are priceless and very intriguing. I even went on a guided tour, which was also informative. Since the museum is apart of Emory, I got to go outside and eat on the campus itself. It's beautiful there, inside and out.

Bonita Dungan

It's a beautiful space. They currently have an African art exhibit. Visited 1/26/2019

Manasi Panigrahi

This has a good collection of historical items, a must visit.

Sanarr Mc

Pretty large collection, Greek, Egyptian, Asian, Central and South American exhibits with artifacts, replicas, sculptures and more. Very friendly staff, impeccable facility. Visitor parking deck and handicap spaces just across the bridge from the museum building. All floors handicap accessible.

Jean Wyant

My son (14 years old) loves this place so much, we had to get a family membership. Best in Atlanta for international history. Terrific collection of south and central native American artifacts, which my son particularly enjoys. Also a wonderful display of high quality Greek, Egyptian, and Asian items. We look forward to the return of the African exhibit.

Matthew Sullivan

Beautiful, expansive collection of ancient art. Well-displayed and kept. The staff is friendly and helpful. We used a reciprocal membership from a museum in our home city to get in for free, but its still well worth the admission fee!

Nachliel haCohen Selavan

As a museum guide in the US, the Carlos is among my favorite museums! It's small, very rich with resources and family/school activities, and a warm and welcoming place. Their map of ancient Egypt is unparalleled, you actually can understand "upper" and "lower" Egypt

Ashley Smith

Neat little museum, I am fascinated and drawn to the Egyptian culture and there egypt section is very nice and got some near artifacts and mummies.

Ashish Panchal

The place was absolutely amazing, will recommend and will definitely come back. If you go def check out the roman and Egyptian exhibits.

Jasper Zukaziki

Awesome place! Lots of really cool things to look and read about, book/giftshop is really nice too.

Mwasaa Sherard

Fabulous culture, history, arts archeology, and educational asset in dekalb!

Archana Tikayat Ray

Nice little place! Lot of stuff to to see from all over the world

Felix Pino

Really nice place

Crystal Castillo

Very interesting place with a great price. Amazing artifacts.

Roy Cummings

Beautiful place with a fascinating collection. A great place to visit and learn with your family.

Dave

Beautiful museum. Some sections were temporarily closed(for remodel?) We were able to see 4 of the exhibits. Audio tours available

C A Moss

Excellent collection of ancient (south) American, Greek, Roman artefacts. A nice Indian (India) exhibit too. Wear comfortable shoes, the floor is hard on feet and knees and there are very few benches to sit. Third floor had visiting exhibits and coffee shop (closed when We visited). Plenty of restaurants close by. Admission price is reasonable for such a collection and spent an enjoyable day there.

Brandeis Thompson

Hidden gem. Great historical items. You can walk around on your own with a recorded tour or if you have a group you can have a guide.

Latiecha Slaughter

My visit was initially based on a school assignment. However, as I began walking through the museum, I almost completely forgot about my assignment. I will definitely be returning when I have more time to venture and explore.

Zoulaiha Daouda

They have momies

Liza Jurey

To be able to see pieces of history you only read about in history books is incredible.

Johanna Carson

It's an ok place to visit if you haven't been there before. Only going to be a one time visit for me.

Candi

This is a hidden gem. Amazing real artifacts. Fascinating Egyptian mummies. Well worth the price of admission. Don't forget their little cafe on the 3rd floor, I believe

Benjamin Burton

While the museum was nice and the artifacts were interesting the way we were treated as guest was not what we expected. They made my girlfriend check her Kavu bag because it was too bag. While we were touring the museum we saw several people with big bags (pictures below) and a family with a stroller and a Michael Kors bag as well. Upon leaving we questioned why we had to check our bag and others did not. The desk clerk said because her bag was too big which was not true. If you are going to enforce a checked bag policy please make sure you do it for everyone. Not select groups of people.

Alan Rogers

A unique opportunity to see things that will definitely peak your interest,(architecture, ancient relics/civilization) the museum will give deeper meaning to things most people misunderstand. if you go to this museum or any museum it's a must you get the virtual tour guide. The museum employees are helpful and will give you insight on things in the area. Keep up the great work!

Lorenzo Ivy

The Bible tour was great

Janiya Campbell

My daughter and I went here on a weekday. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Doug Crawford

Art collection from pre-Columbian Americas is the best I have seen! The exhibits are well documented and will help you understand the culture better. The self-guided audio tour is the best way to see the pre-Columbian art

Dinesha Haynes-Rubin

This museum has an amazing ancient egyptian exhibit that includes real mummies from the Old and New Kingdoms.

siti sarah Muwahidah

This museum has great collections and interesting exhibitions, lectures and engaging community events. Beautiful reception room upstairs.

Robin White

Excellent exhibits. We saw the visiting feline exhibit. Very interesting. We also saw some of the African mask exhibit. It was interactive and fun.

Eren Denburg Niederhoffer

Very good place to explore. Remember, you cannot bring water bottles in, they'll hold them for you. You'll want to take Marta, lyft/uber, or taxi as it is located within the campus. Try being dropped off at Emory village nearby so you can walk there. The lack of parking options is the only reason why no 5-star.

Tommy Van Becelaere

Very cool exhibits. A must for history lovers

Richard Hudson

What a wonderful experience. So much art and artifacts. Great customer service and convenience. Good place to take the family.

Leanna Jordan

The Carlos Museum is one of Atlanta's best kept secrets. Tucked away on the beautiful Emory University campus, the Carlos Museum frequently hosts some of the world's most coveted exhibits. There is ample guest parking available just across from the museum's main entrance. The adult admission fee is a mere $8 and audio guide rentals are only $2. The permanent collections are an astonishing sight. Do yourself a favor and stop by. I guarantee that you will be amazed at what is hidden away on Emory's campus.

Miriam Hernandez

I went here as a school assignment about 2 years ago and it was the best homework ever! I love the Greek and Egyptian exhibits.

Jonah And Noah Sports

Really cool Museum do a lot of special events would recommend it

Cara Murdock

I got a great deal on a audio tour from Groupon for the Egyptian exhibition. I was surprised to see that the audio tour encompassed all the exhibits. I was impressed with the exhibits and the muesum was much bigger than I had originally thought. The Egyptian exhibition was impressive! I'll definitely be back with the kids to show them around. Side notes: You will need ID to check out the audio kit. Also, on Sundays 1-5 admission is free. I got a handmade friendship bracelet from the bookstore.

Ramesh Ramakrishnan

good american indian, greek and egyptian museum

Nutsinthetrash

Informational but boring

T. Nicole Webb

Great ancient history museum! I've gone to this museum for years and everytime I'm amazed at the extent of artifacts they have. If you're looking to get up close and personal with some ancient Egypt mummies, Greek statues, Roman bone boxes, or Mayan pottery this is the museum for you. They also always have an interesting rotating presentation

Chunfen Zhou

For a museum this size, its collections of Antiquities and of Pre-Columbian Americas (except North America) are really impressive. Better still, many objects come with descriptive text so detailed that reads like an excerpt from academic papers (maybe not a good thing? you be the judge). Exhibits are generally well-presented, but more exhibition spaces are definitely in need. The museum interior, while certainly not claustrophobia-inducing, does feel crammed at places (both in galleries and in vitrines). And a lack of seating also comes as a consequence. In addition, a more informative floor plan explaining what each gallery does (e.g. Egypt upper left - Old Kingdom; upper right - Middle Kingdom) may help visitors navigate the exhibits better (this can also be placed at the entrance to each major exhibition). All in all, if you like museums and are in the area, give this place a try and you shouldn't be disappointed. For seeing objects with such quality, admission fee is very reasonable (not to mention their numerous forms of discounts, although you may argue that many university art museums are free). Oh, and please allow me to add one personal note to conclude this review: given how good the aforementioned exhibitions are, their Asian and African galleries leave a lot to be desired. Do I expect too much for such a smaller-sized museum? Perhaps they will get more square footage one day, who knows, and their collections will surely continue to grow.

Wes Lim

Great place to absorb some ancient culture.

Ariel Gilligan

What a gem of a museum! They have artifacts from very early civilizations in South, Central, and North America, which is always really interesting to me. I liked that there were benches in front of some exhibits so you could sit and take it all in. I was certainly not expecting to see ancient Egyptian art, so that was a pleasant surprise. You can opt for an audiotour or amble through at your own pace. Very quiet, very impressive!

Cat M. F. Stubbs

A hidden gem! A very in-depth collection of artifacts from a variety of ancient civilizations. Great opportunity for anyone who is interested in learning more about or introducing their children to history. Highly suggest the weekend, less traffic and some free parking available.

Robert Sanders

Small but nice. We went on a free day, so it was a no brainier as far as price.

Beth Novicki

Incredible! Small venue, great docents. Just the right size to tackle in a few hours to get your museum fix!

Lindsey Schnell

A cool little museum! Just when you think the exhibit hall ends there is another hallway of interesting artifacts (yet still a small museum)! A couple of their exhibits are currently under construction so we were slightly limited in our self-guided tour. I wish there was closer (and free) parking and more staff-guided tours. PS: The mummies are real!

Sean Bergstrom

This wonderful museum is located inside the historical Emory University campus features a wonderfully extensive collection of North American artifacts that are pre-columbian one of the largest collections of mummies and Egyptian artifacts outside of the Cairo Museum or the London Museum they also a wonderful collection of Greek and Roman artifacts the special collections exhibit at the time I went with cats of ancient Egypt which was also interesting sight this great museum is very family-friendly and veteran-friendly as they offer special rates for veterans this institution is very much on par with the Smithsonian in Washington DC as far as quality of artifacts found here

Ivory

A little compact but great artifacts

Todd Risinger

Really liked the section about ancient South America.

Casper Voogt

Always worth a visit.

Ariel Marsh

A family favorite place to visit. Try Groupon to get a discount and access to the audio guides.

Mariam Johnson

My family got the free museum pass from our library in Macon! Definitely worth the drive. Great experience

Ruye R

It's a bit small, but it's still fascinating! The price is great too. I enjoyed the museum.

sue wammock

One of Atlanta's best kept secrets. Everyone should visit it.

Milagros Rivera

Awesome I loved it.

Andrew Sheehan

One of my favorite places in Georgia!! A truly hidden gem with its history. You really cannot find many museums in the South East that have MUMMIES!

Sharon Lane

It was a nice experience. Inexpensive the children loved it. My grands were 7 and 9

Yolanda Clark

We had a Beautiful and informative Bible Tour

Kendra Francis

So much more than I expected!

Gregory Poon

Great collection of exhibits. Super hot staff also.

Howard Matthews

Very interesting galleries and a hidden gem.

Cathy Fike

One of Atlanta's hidden gems. I always take out-of-town visitors to the Carlos Museum to see the Egyptian mummies especially, not that the rest isn't very interesting, too. Well worth a few hours.

Tracy Swann

Nice little spot on Emory campus for events

Merlin Clarens

I had an incredible experience, will be coming back

Cammie Holland

My first time, very interesting. I am definitely going to be back soon.

Tripp Tibbetts

I had never heard of the Carlos Museum before last week. Didn't expect much when we took our 9 y.o. son and 11 y.o. daughter this weekend, but boy were we in for a treat! The kids absolutely ate it up, and the only complaint from the adults is that we didn't get to spend enough time with the museum's world-class Roman, Greek, and Egyptian artifacts. The Americas exhibit was offline when we went due to a moisture issue, but it was still a 5-star experience. Our dosent-guided tour was fascinating, and the bookstore rocked too. We will definitely be going back. Highly recommend it!!

Joey Hinton

This wonderful museum seems quite small but the maze of rooms goes on and on. Each are filled with a stunning variety of objects expertly displayed and catalogued. Almost all items on display are artifacts (I didn't see any paintings) with the main attractions being Greek, Roman, and Egyptian. There is also an impressively large display of central and South American pottery, many with human and animal faces. Overall a highly recommended place I'd visit again.

jennifer hernandez

AYYOOO I saw River up there and that was the most exciting part, no seriously, the Egyptian part was really nice to see.

Hector Steve Hernandez

Found a deal on Groupon for an audio tour and took it. It was a great experience. There was free parking in the campus garage. The museum is fairly small but has a lot of artifacts and historical pieces. For such a small museum, they had mummies! Granted, not sure if they’re real but nonetheless it was cool highly recommend!

Kenneth Fields

I was very pleased with the size of the facility and the quality pieces of artwork on display. There were exhibits from Africa, Asia, India, North American Indian, Greece, Rome, etc... Its almost as if your literally walking through history. There was so much to see. Expect to be there for at least 2 hours if you truly want to immerse yourself in the different cultures represented. You CAN take pictures, but NO FLASH allowed! ENJOY!

Joel Mangrum

Great exhibits

Moon

Everything here was a good experience
