We've got the information of people who are purchasing the products and services of Chippewa Square (Museum) in the state of Georgia.
As of day the business gets a rating of 4.6 out of 5 and this score is based on 2130 reviews.
You must have seen that it reaches an feddbacks average is basically the best one, and it's based on a very large number of scores, so we may be pretty sure that the evaluation is quite faithful. If many people have bothered to value when they've done well with the business, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to put feddbacks when they are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Museum is included in the category of Park.
Run into lots of little squares like this walking around Savannah. Parts of Forest Gump filmed here (bench scene)
Good looking place and enjoyable but people round that area are very shady
Wish they had the Forrest Gump bench or any bench for the photo op but it was pretty cool place to visit.
Very cool! Lots of interesting history in this area. Also where Forrest Gump sat with his box of chocolates.
Such a beautiful place!
Prettiest square in Savannah! Walk all 22 squares and start and end here! Next time I come, I will sign up for a walking tour or at minimum download a self-guided app. There is so much history to learn!
Wish the Forrest Gump bench was still there but beautiful square.
We really enjoy historic Savannah
The park where the bench scenes were filmed during Forrest Gump movie. BUT no bench was there; not even a plaque. A security guard told us they used to have the bench there but people started taking pieces of the wood off of it so it was removed. Thanks to those idiots, you just have to use your imagination!
One of Savannah's earliest squares on Bull Street, Chipewa Square has a beautiful bronze statue of James Oglethorpe, (founder of the city; and, the colony of Georgia), gracing its center. He was also responsible for the Oglethorpe Plan - resulting in the Landmark Historic District - the heart of the original city plan.
Beautiful place with lots of places to sit.
Its a park. Not much to say. Forest Gump sat on a bench here, but there is no marker, no bench, no nothing?!?! What gives Savannah? I also found the area very buggy. It's worth a stop in the area to see the historic bldgs and the rest of the district.
Nice park and historical stuff.
Visiting Savannah under the hilarious guidance of the Moron Brothers is a must!
Cool statue. Lots of benches around it to sit down and relax.
Very pretty square. One of our favourites we went to.
Nice sites to see and the people are nice
Was a pretty cool place to check out the wife found out that Forrest Gump was sitting on his bench in front of the statue and made it a must stop. It's a smaller part much like the others in the area but very clean and well kept up. The area was not as busy as most so it was kind of nice we felt like we had our own little piece of the city
Well manicured and lush square in the heart of Savannah. Shaded and a great spot to soak in some southern history and drink a cup of coffee.
Very scenic and historic views. Good family atmosphere.
One of my favorite squares. Get the chocolate cake at gallery espresso!?
Life is like a box of chocolates!
The park is safe and beautiful and full of history
Well Forrest Gump was walking around so I can't not give this place a 5* rating.
One of the many squares to take a break on the walkabout in Savannah.
Wonderful place to see
A beautiful place to sit and catch your breath while you're looking at the local sites
Nice little town square. Wish there were additional parking closer to the square.
Beautiful, lot to see.
Beautiful place. Nothing beats the heart of Savannah. Can't wait to spend more time here. Always seems like I'm in a rush, trying to take in as much as possible.
This is a unique place dedicated to the glory of American weapon over British in faraway Canada and it has a statue of a British general in the center. The square is most famous because of the Forest Gump (Tom Hanks) sat there on the bench and it doesn't even have that bench around.
Well, we didn't see Forest Gump with a box chocolates waiting for a bus in Chippewa Sqaure but we did enjoy visiting this picturesque spot during our day trip to Savannah in February.
It's a romantic square
Beautiful place, but Gump's bench is missing
Beautiful area a must walk
Great square but don't look for the forest gump plaque marking the forest gump bench. They don't have it.
Chippewa Square is a beautiful park in the middle of downtown historic Savannah. This is the same park where Forrest Gump was filmed (the bench has been removed and placed in the Savannah History Museum). The statue in the center of the square is of General James Oglethorpe, the founder of the city of Savannah and the state of Georgia.
Care should be taken to maintain this park in front of the square you can see 200 years old Savannah theatre
I believe the downtown of Savannah is amongst one of the more beautiful downtowns in the US. Lots of local, small City charm and history. This particular park is the one that was in the opening scene of Forrest Gump.
Nice park to visits. Lots of areas to explore nearby. Love Savannah.
The forrest gump bench is no longer here fyi
This place is peaceful
Part of the ghost tour was awesome
Such a beautiful park! It was my first time to Savannah and I was just so amazed. I did not accept the park to be so green and wonderfully shaded. It's a perfect place to stop and relax after walking around in the heat.
I can't even tell you how beautiful the 22 squares are in Savannah. It was the best afternoon ever walking through all the squares!
Pretty but not much there
Nice site seeing atmosphere for visitors.
We loved sitting on a bench near where Forrest Gump was filmed and making our own film. LoL.
Just he history love it
Historic spot within a historic city.
This place is absolutely beautiful!
One of the many beautiful park squares in Savanna. Full of historical statues and landmarks.
Great little park , but no forrest gump bench , they have that at the museum apparently
Loved our entire tour of Savannah! We took the Old Savannah Tour bus that gives you access to 16 points of interest with characters that come on and off the bus. Also allows you to exit the bus and look around and take the next bus that comes along.
All the squares and parks in the historic district are beautiful, great places to sit and relax.
Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get. -Forrest Gump....the bench was removed and put in a museum so I had to improvise. Parking around the park is fairly simple. Costs Monday-Saturday 8am to 8pm. Very clean park too.
Nice park! The site where the park bench scenes in Forrest Gump were filmed.
I can understand why they had to remove Forrest Gumps bench but I wish it was here instead of a museum.
I loved the beauty and the history.
Peaceful getaway. A few to many homeless
The bench where Forrest Gump sat is no longer there and there is not even a replica in its place. I drove 19 hours to sit on that bench. My disappointment is imeasurable and my day is ruined.
There are so many little squares, and their each unique
Nice Historic place
Wonderful historical site! Now known for being the Forest Gump bench site.
Great Statue of Oglethorpe. Nice and pleasant place
I love this place. Love all Savannah city centre. It is one pearl of America which should be preserved for next generations. Chippewas square is one of 22 small squares of city centre of Savannah. There were 24 squares in plans in late 18th century but only 22 stand all these years.
Centrally located near lots of other historical sights and food stops.
It is very nice square to visit just like every square in Savannah. I just wish that marked the location where Forrest Gump movie was filmed (famous bench location). There are nice restaurants around and definitely nice place to chill. The oldest theater that is still actively used in the US is right across the street.
Beautiful!! But you will not find the famous bench. There's a museum for that. What you will find are very nice locals.
beautiful. peaceful. relaxing. enough said.
Very nice
Beautiful Savannah, can't wait to go back.
Lovely Oglethorpe statue in the midst of the cool shade od ancient oaks. Savannah is dotted by such lovely public spaces.
The park is beautiful with some statues. I recommend to do a little bit research about the history of savannah. I was in a tour to explore the ghost here.
It was a great experience for our teens. They loved it. I recommend this great historical tour.
It's very pretty nice place to visit as a tourist good food in the area too
Lovely place. Try the carriage ride.. we loved it.
Savannah is gorgeous in general...but walking the squares can be exceptionally beautiful...especially during the right season. Lots of Pokemon Go stops to spin and usually some great spawns. All the squares will get a default 5 stars from me because I just love Savannah downtown so much and I feel the squares are the beating heart of the infrastructure there.
Beautiful park. Spectacular trees.
Nice little park
Of the squares, this is probably my favorite. A wonderful, quiet (usually) place to sit, eat lunch or just contemplate the ancient Live Oak trees and life. Good coffee and shops nearby.
Nice place to visit. Missed Forest Gump
The city squares are picture perfect
Very relaxing place. They have a park for kids to.play
I'm not much of historic tours, but diving around the city of Savanha by trolley is a must. Just so you can get a glimpse of the city. In more of a ghost and goblin type of city tour. I wasn't disappointed.
One of my favorite squares. And yes this is the one where Forrest Gump sat on the bench. FYI the bench is not there it's in a museum. But the bench was located on the north side of the square.
Forest Gump famous bus stop...
I met forrest gump
Beautiful little town with nice walkable parks, statues, fountains, and monuments. And not to forget the river walk. Very unique.
It was very nice historical place. We actually spent time learning.
Awesome tour. Great experience with my family
It's a nice public park with a cool statue. I'd recommend seeing it as part of a guided tour so that you get the most out of it!
Great place for a bench in the shade.
the squares in Savannah are always well kept
Beautiful area of our country
It's so peaceful and so close to all the action!
Gorgeous... one of the prettiest but no mention of why it's called chippewa. Have to look it up.
I walked to find this square just for imagine the scene of forest gum! :) big trees, beautiful place
This place has so many cool trees everywhere. Really, its overwhelming how many there are. Everywhere you look, it's green and more green Everything is leaves and branches and more Sun is super bright on some days too! Ask around and you'll learn this:place rocks! Really, ask the locals or the shopkeepers! Everyone will the same "we got trees galore" Considering how warm it is, you'll be fine. Onward and Upward and head to see this! On top of that, its nice for a picnic too. Let's think of frisbee games also(?)
Pretty and a restful place to sit and relax along your stroll on Bull Street.
It's a shame Forrest Gump 's bench is gone, but you can see the place where it was - nicely planted with variegated plants. GREAT square, but then are all 22 just wonderful to sit and watch the world go by?
I had some fried chicken and peach sweet tea for lunch in the Forrest Gump Park.
Calm and peaceful. Again as beautiful as most of Savannah. We were part of the tour and got to know the history of all the squares and buildings, fascinating, recommend a guided tour. Famously known as Forrest Gump bench park..
I think this was close by. The square was beautiful and so fun to walk around
Historical. Love history
Just dive in the movie of Forest Gump. That's the place where the famous bench was standing, where he was talking about his life in the movie. Close to the square, just five minutes by feet you can visit the Cafe, where Jenny from the movie had worked. The peolples in the Cafe there are very friendly.
Place where Forrest Gump told us life is like a box of chocolates.
beautiful square with a lot of good stuff around it.
Beautiful square. It's were Forest Gump sat at.
Forest Gump's bench isn't there, they moved it to a city building.
Very picturesque. If you're wandering around the area, it's worth a quick detour for sure.
Wish the Forrest Gump bench was still here!we had fun, anyway.
Can't say enough about the beauty and serenity of Savannah's squares.
There is so much to love in Savannah and Chippewa square is the case in point. History on display, cultural and civic pride, natural beauty and southern charm. Thank you, Savannah for keeping it alive.
Love to sit and soak up the atmosphere
Another lovely square to stroll or sit in w surrounding beautiful homes and churches and a central statue that make the center of Savannah so beautiful, take the trolley tour and you get to ride around many of the squares and hear lots about their history
Brilliant space to visit while strolling about town.
Enjoyed visiting this square even though Forrest Gump's bench is no longer there. It was scenic.
First Gump famous bench spot. Bench is not the anymore, apparently was taken into a museum
Beautiful park. We were hoping to see where Forest Gump sat on his bench here, but the bench was moved to a museum, and now it's just plants in its place. Nice shades area on a hot Savannah day, and full of history.
The square itself is very beautiful and super cozy. It is located in Downtown Historic District. Nearby is the Historic Savannah Theater. The oldest one that still performing shows every night. And of course its also known for the famously park bench scenes of the Forrest Gump film. There's no bench, it was located for the film porpoise. The bench was settled where the One Way sign is located, but today the spot still popular for tourists and photographers.
Such beauty and charm in this space.
Beautiful square. Nice and quiet place to cool off.
I wouldn't have come here just for this. The area is nice to walk at
Just another small, beautiful city square greenspace that defines historic downtown Savannah. I'm pretty sure that this was the park where the Forrest Gump bench used to be.
The home of the famous Forrest Gump bench scene. A pretty park
Beautiful and the location for the opening scene to the Forest Gump movie.
Beautiful! My first stop in Savannah (huge Forrest Gump fan hehe) and parking was easy so we walked around from there. Loved it!
Town square in the center of Savannah where the scene for Forrest Gump was shot with his box of chocolates though the bench is in a museum and it was a prop bench and bus stop
Very nice park .Part of our Trolley Tour..
Loved it! Beautiful area and it's where the Forrest Gump bus scene happened! Just awesome!
Beautiful small park! This is where Forrest Gump sat on his bench.
A small place of shade, beauty, and quiet, it has the added beauty of First Baptist Church, and elegant, old homes. It is a lovely place for strolling and sitting.
Great place to take a break.
This tour was well worth it. I recommend everyone take the ole Savannah tour when you get their.
Really lovely shaded square. Great spot to walk around or sit on a hot day. Kind of corny but I thought there should be a plaque or something more to acknowledge the spot of where the bench sat for filming of Forest Gump. It is just plants and a large concrete bench structure now; one would be none the wiser to the pop culture story.Stumbled upon the Gallery Espresso that borders the park. Do yourself a favor and grab an awesome coffee at this vintage shop. Parking is very easy around the square area. Remember your spot number and you can feed the kiosk for whatever time increment you need.
Not sure if it was a busy day or something but it was almost impossible to find parking. Tons of students around, but they just run in front of cars when they wanted to. The place (and surrounding areas) looked very pretty. Might have just been a bad day to come and visit.
Very relaxing, sat on a bench and read some magazine's I had brought while my spouse was in an appointment near by. Quaint, historical.....very Savannah. Quite lovely. Parking needed coins.
A lot of historic sites at this place really nice I really enjoyed it
Truly a local sight to see! There is a lot of history and significance in this area!
Can't wait to go back someday!
Very serene and historical.
Beautiful town square in historic center.
Very cute, well maintained park, as are all of the squares/parks in Savannah.
Beautiful place to see
Ruuuun Forrest....Ruuuuun!!!!
Nice little park with lots of shade. Would be nice if the bench (or at least replica) from the Forrest Gump was still there.
Chippewa Square is the Forest Gump movie bench location! Although the bench is no longer there you can still very easily take in the ambiance of the square and appreciate the general beauty of it. I would highly recommend walking the zigzag of the many squares around historic Savannah as hey all have a unique personality to them - they also offer a little break on a park bench in the shade (hide from the sun for a min or 2).
So much history and beauty!
"Momma said!" THe bench is gone but the southern charm remains.
One of my favorite squares!
This is my favorite of all the squares of Savannah. It is not just beautiful and well manicured but on the north east corner is a lovely coffee shop, a very nice gift shop and right across the street is my favorite old pub the Six Pense. Outstanding photo opportunity. ❤
Nice square. Beautiful trees.
Great sightseeing as they filmed Forest Gump there. Beautiful scenery.
Just a peaceful, shaded, quiet part of town. Not to mention Forrest Gump told his story sitting there!!
So clean and nice to take the family
Really beautiful square, but not special like the others. It is nice to know that Forrest Gump was filmed here, but sadly you see no mark of that.
Beautiful square. Sit in a bench, sip on some coffee, and people watch. Don't forget to take a picture of where the Forrest Gump bench once sat.
