Beautiful, full of projects

Surya Mohan

Great place

Lasondra Fields

Cute place with trails and historical buildings to see. The trails could be marked better. Free to park and has restrooms too.

Shawn Bruzda

Beautiful, healthy southern woods with minimal invasive plant infiltration. Wetlands, Sal's Creek, many ephemeral streams and foot bridges, some very large loblolly pines and tulip trees, historic buildings, a gold mine, visitor center, restrooms, friendly staff and volunteers, trails, and cell phone tour. Bring your kids, excellent place for them to explore. Many of the trails are on moderate to steep terrain with exposed tree roots so wear comfortable trail footwear and watch your step. Dog-friendly but must be leashed at all times.

Sumbal Raza

We love their homeschooling and preschool classes. The staff are very loving and caring.

Paul R

This is a quiet and pleasant place to walk. It's a bit like a tree Museum in an area in which most trees have been cut down

Helen Adamas

Lauren at the Center is so helpful, informative, and very friendly! Since we happened to be by at feeding time, we got to feed some of the turtles and even held one! The trails are nice and well-maintained, the lookout we went to is lovely and secluded. Such a treasure. We look forward to returning!

A relatively short drive from downtown Atlanta, Autrey Mill is a blend of history and nature. We stopped by the visitor center - Judy was a wealth of knowledge about the history of the area and the wildlife. The trails are well marked in the woods. We will definitely visit again!

Great place to go and see animals native to Georgia! I have volunteered over 125 hours over the past 3 years. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. There are lots of different trails to walk and there are several pavilions that you don't need to rent unless you are doing events. The preserve is also a historic site because of the Summerour house and Farm Museum. Would highly recommend visiting and volunteering here!

Decent place to walk the dog. Shaded, moderately hilly natural trails. Prone to being muddy, so consider recent rainfall if that's an issue for you. Trail maps could be clearer in orientation and distance.

Autrey Mill is a gorgeous, quiet place to hike. I took my infant son. I didn't realize it wasn't stroller friendly but his stroller is pretty rugged and it made it pretty far down the trail before we had to turn around. It had amazing views and there's even a place where they have rabbits and roosters and ducks near the visitor's center to look at.

This place. Is wonderful. It's so pretty and well cared for, and the lady who curates it is so friendly and kind, I was actually impressed by it. The grounds themselves feel large, but are easy to traverse, and there's a lot to do and see in such a small space. A lot of different organizations contributed many things to the site, and you can feel it. This is a true community preserve.

I'm a history buff, so it's great to see old buildings in the new city of Johns Creek. It's also where a gold vein exists, harkening back to the 1837 GA gold Rush.

I wish we would have find this place sooner! My boys (4&6) loved it! If you go when the visitors center is open, there are aquariums inside with various reptiles, amphibians, and arachnids! You may even be able to pet Pebbles, the 15yr old tortoise! Outside there are sucks, bunnies, and chickens. They have a butterfly garden and great hiking trails for little ones. They offer many programs that we are just learning about. We will be back!
