REVIEWS OF Vizcaya Museum & Gardens IN Florida

Andrew Woodfield

Phenomenal house, luxury beyond your imagination! Astonishing to think that somebody actually used to call this home... It's nice finding all of the little secret places people used to probably go off to...

Carol Murphy

Peace and tranquility away from the buzz of Miami in this amazing museum where you could imagine how the "beautiful people" lived and played. The house was intact with historical features and great style. The grounds were even nicer with well maintained gardens and while I was there the backdrop for professional modelling shoots. Well worth a visit.

Raluca Kingston

Beautiful architecture and interior with amazingly well preserved furniture, tapestries and murals. Gardens are also beautiful, the temperature was a little too hot to fully enjoy, unfortunately. We spent around 3 hours walking around. There is a cute little tent cafe by the entrance. Was very impressed and so glad we got to visit!

Brice Allard

Very cool experience for the whole family. Other than it being an extremely hot day we had a great time checking out the beautiful scenery. It was an absolutely gorgeous place to visit.

Cedric Ani

Vizcaya Museum & Gardens is truly a breathtaking spot in Miami and I recommend every tourist to visit this landmark! Everything about this Museum tells you history and elegance, and when you come to each room, the memories and treasures of the past would welcome you. Indeed a majestic place and I would come again definitely!

Anita Russell

This is well worth a visit. The house is interesting, containing the original furniture and gives an insight to how one of the richest men America lived in the early 20th century. The gardens, there are several, are well kept and offer shady spots to have a seat. The cafe is pretty basic, but good for a coffee rest stop. Getting there by public transport from downtown was pretty easy, a short over rail trip and a 15min walk.

Neil Maruca

Don't miss! Amazing, beautiful. Art, architecture, landscape and design perfectly merged into a Masterpiece. Wonderful experience, stepping back into the luxurious excesses of a1910 industrialists garden and mansion. I recommend the ($5 extra) mansion tour, docent was marvelous and informative.

Tamara Dyer

An incredibly beautiful experience that will live in your memory forever as the one place you wish you could visit again to savor the experience yet again in your lifetime.

Jessica Sullivan

Beautiful grounds and well cared for house. Lots to explore

Renata Andrejszky

This is a BEAUTIFUL experience! Do not get me wrong, the photos are amazing, but nothing beats seeing this amazing property in person. The history that is holds on top of the amazing landscaping...its just jaw dropping at points. I would highly recommend taking the time to tour this museum. Our group decided to not do a guided tour since we wanted a little bit of flexibility with the time that we took at the location but I did see some other groups really enjoying the tour guides they had. You can truly get lost in the idea behind living back in the properties prime. It has a very magical energy. I highly recommend!

Ela Abrams

Perfect for a day tour! Classic views and ornaments. Place is magnificent.

Angela Lee

Wonderful magnificent gardens. 22.00 admission fee. The house is beautiful. Bring walking shoes because there are many stairs.

David Garcia

Must of been impressive in its prime. For the high entry fee you would expect the grounds and gardens to be maintained. It's obvious no money has been invested in restoring some of the ceilings which are peeling off. They should provide a crossover to the ship barriers so tourist may view. Paid 79.00 for family of five. Took lots of pics. Inspired ideas for the home garden.

Gian Waters

It was an awesome experience! I just wish I went there when the weather was a bit cooler. It was hot outside

Tim Pearson

Stunning place to visit. An oasis in Miami and a great place to while away a morning or afternoon. You could be in Italy when you visit.

Paula Crescente

Beautiful place but the admission is extremely expensive. Great place for pictures but not so good for kids.

Ankita Singh

Absolutely loved this place! A very huge garden with beautiful spots to click pictures! Gives a good glimpse into the past!

Radamas Maldonado

Beautiful setting. Would be 5 star but staff is rude, very unhelpful and confrontational with photography and video professionals. You would think they would be more professional and accommodating after they take your $175 for a press pass.

Torsten Maehle

This is Miami's nicest historical site with European flair: the architecture and garden reminds one of Versailles or Sanssouci. It's easily accessible, not crowded at all during weekdays and 2-3 hours are recommended to see everything.

Gali Alva

I loved it. It's a bit warm so drink lots of water or go during the winter time. Bring walking shoes with good grip there are sections that when wet are slippery and we all know it can rains year round in florida.

Missy V

Love this place. I ended up getting the yearly membership after going there a second weekend on a row. Totally worth the price. Beautiful place. I love the gardens. The gardens farthest from the mansion Feel sometimes like being in a jungle or swamp. There’s always tons of photo shoots and weddings happening here. I recommend getting there when they first open or an hour before closing time to get the best pictures.

The Creatives Loft Wedding & Event Planning Studio

Our Miami Wedding Planning Studio has planned and styled numerous weddings at Vizcaya. Every time we work is like "feeling home!. It's our second home after we have planned several weddings for some of our coolest clients. We love their team and the different spots of this marvelous Italian Villa. It's tough for set up due to the lack of time, but for those planners we are prepared for every single detail and situation that may happen during the wedding day, it's easy to run the show. We highly recommend the venue if you are looking to plan a top notch and luxurious backyard wedding in Florida. One of our favorite wedding venues!!!

EvAmin24 _

Beautiful palace! Actually a very nice old home with award winning gardens. I always love to bring my out of town guests. The home has some features that were ahead of their time the view is just awesome, the water sparkles like it has a million diamonds across it. But the reason why i love it most is the gardens n I am not alone. While I was there last time there was 6 photo shoots going on from the bride to the sweet 16 to the fashion one. All were looking for the perfect shot within the gardens. I think yr guests will enjoy and thank you

Terri Lynch

This historic home / museum is a must see! So ornate and beautiful. The views of Biscayne Bay are beautiful. The history of the home is incredible. James Deering spared no expense in this home where he wintered as a snowbird and entertained very prominent people. The home was opulent in it's day and still is. You can almost hear the sounds of people being entertained, and imagine what it must have been like. Be sure to take the guided tour so you get all the intimate details of the home and a glimpse of who James Deering was.

Jeff Sneed

Please go see the mansion and the gardens. We did a tour. enjoyed it and after we walked around the gardens and ate in the small cafe restaurant. good food , nothing special. There was a prepping for a wedding going on which sure bought some real excitement. there are very scenically corners where they had wedding photographers taking photo’s . So after they were done we took their ideas and copied their picture

Joseph Dalman

I've been going to Vizcaya since I was a kid. Whether you approach it from it being a snapshot in time, the architecture or the gardens , you won't be disappointed. Definitely tour the House and gardens. You get a glimpse of how the wealthy live in the beginning of the 20th century. I always allow time to stroll the gardens without rushing. The views of the bay are very relaxing.

Eugene Foerster

A great experience with a wealth of information. The gardens and house are both beautiful.

Julie O'Brien

An amazing experience for all. Impressed how well maintained this place is after all these years. Stunningly beautiful

Daniel Ernstes

The house is beautiful and the garden is ok. But the price is way too high (22$)

Lora Glazman

Wow what a wonderful museum! I did not expect it at all in the middle of Miami. You feel like you are in Europe. Beautiful garden, historic location. Highly recommended.

Sarunas Vil

Perfect place to spend afternoon and enjoy nature and beautiful European architecture. The grounds are maintained well with amazing amount of different flowers and vegetation. The mansion is unique and has a truly a mind blowing decorations. One of these must see places to appreciate and enjoy the craftsmanship of European architects.

Paul S

It's a beautiful building with very well maintained rooms. A rare older building in South Florida with a rich history. The outside gardens, although expensive, are somewhat dilapidated, especially the water features.

Leyden Columna

Loved it! Nice place to learn about the history of the museum & take pictures!

Cris Prezzi

Great. It is worth reading the history of the property before the visit! The gardens are stunning! Worth a whole day visit!

Jessica Russell

Absolutely breathtaking. Both inside and outside are beautiful. I didn't do a guided tour and I don't think it is needed because there is quite a bit of information on signs at key points. Vizcaya is a place where you can spend the entire day, relaxing. Oh and make sure you have enough storage space for pictures... you'll need it.

Kimberly Conenna

So many beautiful things to see. I enjoyed learning about Florida's history and taking lots of pictures...especially of the flowers!

Edith Alejandra Stowers

The place is beautiful. The gardens are breathtaking. It's best to go early during the summer months because of the heat/humidity. Cooler time of day would make walking the gardens more enjoyable. If you like taking pictures this is a "photo op" dream. Glad we did it even on a July afternoon. Walking and stairs, comfortable footwear advisable.

Rafael Ortega

What to say about Vizcaya Museum & Gardens? What an amazing attraction to visit when in Miami!!!! I would have never imagined this existed. Everyone is very nice. The Gardens are breathtaking. You have to make sure you walk them all. There are some hidden areas and pictures will be great. It is like a mini Versailles, but with the backdrop of the Miami Skyline. The house itself is great and make sure to take the to your for better insights.

Gabby Yelverton

Absolutely beautiful gardens and museum! Make sure you have enough time to see everything or you will regret it. They give you a map to make things easier or you can go on a tour or self guided tour. It was super hot when we went in July, but worth it. The staff is also very friendly and helpful!

Tori Jacob

Enjoyed my visit here so much! It was absolute splendid beauty. The museum itself was so impressive, wonderful architectural details and construction. Will definitely go back again many more visits.

Melanie Wheatley

It was so incredibly beautiful! I loved the home and the gardens. Some of the house was covered as they prepare for hurricane Dorian but it was still amazing. They've done a wonderful job of preserving the history and you can really get a feel of what life must have been like for James Deering in such an incredible home. I loved every second I spent there exploring the rooms and the incredible gardens! I would highly recommend to any art or history enthusiasts.

sire chan

This place is simply beautiful! If you go please do take the tour. The details of the life of the oil mogul are super interesting. Loved my time here and so did my gf. Specially the view of the bay. Please take the time and soak in some culture with a breathtaking view.

Ida Steinberg

Loved it, loved it, loved it! If I'm ever in Miami again, I'd like to spend the whole day, just not in August. This is a December or January city for me. HOT! Young man at entry of house gave great information about the mansion and grounds across the street. I loved the house, gardens, and ocean views! I didn't have time or more energy to go across to farm lands and servants' areas. Wow, this is a must see if you're going to Miami. Loved it!

Mike T

Astounding. Absolutely beautiful grounds, lavish history, and regal decoration. The minor entrance fee is well worth it. This is a must visit for anyone who enjoys history, art, nature, or simply beauty in general.

Michael J Mintzer

Nice day with family right on Biscayne Bay. The house is historic; the gardens are beautiful and relaxing. Admission price is reasonable with senior discount. No food allowed from the outside and food on premises is minimal - don't come hungry. A worthwhile 1/2 day experience; you'll go home with family photos with gorgeous backgrounds!

Alex B

Spectacular estate to come and relish in the architecture and artistry. This must truly be what it would've been like to live the uber rich lifestyle......... and it was just a winter home!

Joel Fridman

Really beautiful and interesting place with a curious history behind. Unfortunately it should have a better maintenance at the outside gardens and the inside rooms should be brighter. It's totally worth to visit, but be prepared to the lack of information in many pieces of art and also to see some abandoned spots contrasting to other neat ones.

Samaria Martin

They have gorgeous decorations that fill the whole mansion not to mention their wonderful staff that help you with any you might need. We love working with them to make spectacular photo shoot!

Shovon Mustafa

Amazing architecture, amazing scenery, it's best to go on a beautiful sunny day. Prices are fairly inexpensive, and there's plenty to see and do before you get tired out. Parking is plentiful and free, so don't bother parking down the street looking for parking like we did, it's included and on grounds!

Natalia Olivera Silva

Love this place. The house is beautiful and the gardens are perfect to walk and spend the day at.

Lisa M

Really loved this museum. Be ready for a lot of walking. You could bring a stroller, but my daughter opted not to because she's been here before and thinks strollers are a pain here. It's $22 for adults. I can't remember the other prices. A lot of people take pictures here for things like weddings, engagements, and holy communions. So much to see. Touch screens and placards are used to explain the history. The breezes off the bay are wonderful! There is a small café and gift shop. Parking is easy...and free. I will be going again.

Christine S

So Beautiful staff is ALL Friendly and helpful got to see a wedding photo shoot and now i know for sure where i want mine ❤❤ 10/10

Niesa Lenox

A great place for photography, photoshoots, nature photography - sometimes manatees will swim right up to you! A beautiful escape from the hustle and bustle of Miami. Fun fact: parts of Iron Man 3 were filmed here!

Betty Lou

I enjoyed this place. Truly Beautiful and well kept.

Gloria White

Stunning historical home. Breathtaking formal gardens. The views of the bay are lovely. Highly recommend a visit to enjoy this precious piece of history.

Jesus Rondon

Loveee this place! Super nice to take pictures

Alex Rodriguez

I've never felt poorer in my life but it was beautiful.

Iván Torres

Beautiful place. A must if you're visiting Miami

Mauricio Martinez

I use to work here as a teen and I've been coming here for over 20 years. I always learn something new on ever visit. I wish I could see this place in its prime upon its completion. Sadly it has endured some damage over the decades from all the hurricanes. The staff do a great job of keeping maintaining it. Best time to visit is during the Miami winter season when the weather outside is perfect.

Vikki Iovino

This is an absolutely beautiful estate it reminds me of the estates and gardens I've seen in Paris and a France

O Gandek

Still a great visit despite them preparing for Hurricane Dorian.

Rachael Sass

This place is so insanely gorgeous! My favorite part is the huge gardens. I love seeing the shipwreck in the water and the iguanas. There are so many platforms and stairs to explore. This is a great place to take photos!!

Samantha Coomer

Huge. Lots to see. Absolutely beautiful inside and outside. The water at barge smells... Not sure they can do anything but beware.

Roberta Alario

A piece of Europe in Miami. Villa Vizcaya is the classic Spanish hacienda, with a portico and in the middle a cloister enriched with many tropical plants. The rooms of the villa are richly decorated with various styles: from Rococo to Italian Renaissance. The gondola-shaped rock in the small port of the villa is beautiful. The gardens are perfectly maintained and rich in flowers and fountains.

Tonya Weakley

Amazing place! Well worth visiting. Historical, beautiful.

Mychael Raymer

This is mansion is BEAUTIFUL and the gardens are the most immaculate thing I have ever witnessed. Do yourself a huge favor and visit. It is totally worth the $22 entrance fee - and we had coupons so we got in for $20 which was even better! You could easily spend hours here. We were there for about 3 hours which was plenty of time to see everything but I would have been content to hang out there for a couple more hours enjoying the beauty. We only left because it was so hot. But on a cooler day, it would be great to spend the whole day there!

Vi L

This is a truly beautiful mansion and grounds to visit. You will feel like you were transported back in time and half way around the world, beautiful to take pictures.

Javier del Campo

It is interesting to find this kind of European style attraction but the feeling is that nowadays is nothing more than a tourist trap. Despite the history of Vizcaya is curious the place is not worth the cost of the ticket. Also, the gardens could be in a better shape, particularly the channels, the ponds, and the fountains. The water at the dock and surrounding the tea house was very dirty. In most of the world this garden, being own by Miami-Dade County, would be a public place and the museum much cheaper.

Dean Hall

A must see! Not for kids. Beautiful house beautiful grounds. Takes 3 plus hours to see. We got icecream and popsicle to cool off.

David Zlo

It is beautiful and historical place. Every room in the house, every garden is absolutely charming. Strongly recommend to take your time and to take audio tour.

William Lena

F.Y.I Military personnel get in complimentary. I know I appreciate it. I have been overseas and have seen some unbelievable palaces and castles but this is definitely there equal as for as the art work and the furniture of the day. If you like Historic treasures and appreciate the craftsmanship that was put into this (palace). I have been coming here since the 60's a must see location.

Larisa Muller

I love this place. Every time I go to Coral Gables I stop there to feel like in another time in history. It is sooo beautiful!!

Brandon G.

Absolutely beautiful and fascinating place to spend the day at! The grounds are very well kept and the staff are very polite and knoweldgeable. Make sure to get here early if you want to beat the crowds! The garden is wonderful when there aren't many people around. There are guided and audio tours offered- I took the audio tour and really enjoyed being able to go at my own pace and enjoy the garden/house when they weren't as crowded. They also have plenty of great events going on that I would definitely come back for.

Fady Moneer

Amazing place for anyone who loves nature, ocean and historical palaces. Have multiple landscapes and gardens to explore, and you can reach it easily by metro. Ticket cost 22 USD and really worth it.

James Nguyen

Worth going to see if you are touring miami. Went here with my gf and it's like you're in Italy which was intentional by the architects. Garden was the best part

Marilyn Stringer

Beautiful Place and Sculptures, it's a place of History. Place for Family gathering also, Beautiful Garden.

Brock Whittaker

Had a great time visiting with a friend from out of town. Great place for an impromptu photoshoot, the outside garden is very beautiful. The history of the house itself is also interesting.

Amy Hughes

Once is not enough. It was raining the day we were there, so we did not get to see the gardens. The place is amazing. Loved it. So much to see.

Joe Amaral

I had never been to Vizcaya but many of my friends had gone, they had great things to say about the property and their visit. It was every bit worth the trip, beautiful building inside and out. The garden area is larger than I thought and breathtaking. If your in the area definitely a stop you should make.

Patrick Feeney

Basically downtown Miami, this place has a serene, old European feel. The house is amazing. The garden is even better. Right off the Biscayne Bay. Just beautiful.

Lan Bui

A Must Stop in Miami. Plan to spend more than 5 hours to learn, enjoy, and take pictures. Guided tours always helpful. A day well spent!

Don Windrem

Beautiful home and gardens. Loved the barge in the bay and the third floor bedrooms.

Ben Liu

This is an great place to take your family for a day trip.

lueannie nelson

Spent the day here viewing the beautiful house and gardens, its definitely a must see in Miami on a relaxed day to take some amazing pics

Tom NYC

the grounds are fun and well kept up. the rooms leave a bit to be desired but honestly it is a must do in miami. you can imagine the wild parties that would happen back in the day here. There are iguanas and fun lizards that run around !

Christoph Egli

Great place to mix up the hectic shopping schedule most tourists have here in Miami. Beautiful property from the early 20th century, with a great ocean view and gardens. Would recommend everyone to go there.

Vivi A

Always wonderful place to visit!! The gardens are lovely, the history of the property itself is very interesting. You get the opportunity to learn and see first hand how life was back in the day. Limited handicap access, the place is immaculate for the most part. The only con on this visit what the water in the back of the property, it seems the water from the fountains and other ponds haven't been changed in very long time, the stench was horrendous and i guess soon enough it will become source of plenty mosquitoes.

Krysti Patrick

Very beautiful gardens. Interesting from an engineering perspective. It was nice to see what life was like for those people in that time period. All of the rooms were beautifully preserved and some were under repairs from damage as a result of the hurricane. The cafè was closed at the time but when all of the construction is complete I would definitely come back to spend a romantic evening!

Bere Arrie

Beautiful in every direction you look. The gardens are breath taking. Its a nice way to spend a day then go to coconut grove. Now in the summer you have to go early because of the heat but definitely go.

Suzanne Ostler

Fun to go see once or twice how incredibly rich people used to live!

Joshua Flores

Awesome museum to visit,if you are into the old times and antiques, beautiful sights and a beautiful place, this is the place to visit won’t be disappointed guaranteed

Brian Ecenarro

So incredibly well-preserved despite numerous hurricanes and storms through the years. Go on a sunny day: the gardens are a must-see. As a Miami native who moved away and returned for vacation, it was uniquely enjoyable revisiting Vizcaya after 20 years. AAA members get $1 off each general admission ticket they purchase. Be prepared to spend about three hours at Vizcaya.

Justin Lei

Veey beautiful place and temperate too (compared to south florida) because of its proximity to the ocean. A nice eatery on the bottom with bathrooms to use as well.

Josh Wilson

Gorgeous grounds/garden, this is THE reason to come here. The house was okay. Don't bother with the overpriced tourist trap cafe.

Supawat Jenugson

One of my favorite place! Every times I have guests visiting Miami, I always take them to Miami. I have been here more than 5 times. Still clean and organized. Friendly and Helpful staff. We always took bunch of photos from here!

Peyton Stuckey

5 star experience. Rooms were very beautiful and large . Rooms were also kinda hot. The barge area had lots of iguanas near it. I personally recommend the guide tour

Rebecca Rougeau

Almost a private tour, there were just two people in our group. I appreciate that this piece of history has been preserved. The house and grounds are beautiful, and there are lots of animals! Swans and iguanas and even monkeys! So cute. We also saw 7 manatees in the river when I was on my way out. December is a great time to visit.

Rowena Marie

Very picturesque place. Lots of history and scenery

Carla Badillo

Amazing experience. Beautiful gardens and the customer service was great. I used a coupon from Little Havanna Visitor center and it was received. Thank you for preserving this jewelry of history.

Miss Hanse

Beautiful Museum. My favorite room was the kitchen

Stefan Montgomery

Audio tour is well worth it. It is pretty hot while touring but lots to see and learn about. Beautiful gardens.

Ericka S

This place is awesome! Right next to the water and full of luscious gardens. Spend an afternoon basking on history inside the museum and then head outside to soak in the sunshine in any part of the beautiful gardens. Picture perfect!

Steven Heiss

Amazing gardens. Made me re-think hat Miami had to offer. Even in the rain it was a stunning mansion and gardens. The tour guide we briefly listened to seemed like he really loved his job and wanted to share his knowledge.

Terry Palmer

The gardens and architecture are a joy to behold. The gardens are more extensive than I expected with many separate areas to enjoy. They are are very well maintained. Don't forget your camera!

Ghazanfar Ali

It's an amazing place An early 19th century mansion now converted into a meusuem. Its from the time when Miami was getting it's Fame and landlords started to move in. Has a lot of architectural attractions with Italian paintings, everything is preserved magnificently. Has amazing views, gardens, maze etc I feel it's a little costly to visit a place like this as it is old and good however not historically very sound

Phillip Lovelick

Great beautiful place for a date. I spend the day at Vizcaya. Romantic setting, have lunch, enjoy the estate, walk the gardens, check out the stone boat and the bay. MAGNIFICENT.

Matthew Ahle

Really beautiful old mansion and gardens. The ticket price for admission is a little steep ($22 for an adult ticket) but it's well worth it in my opinion. There is a lot of beautiful artwork to see. If you go, it's worth paying an extra $5 per person for a guided tour. My tour guide was very knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the museum and grounds.

Gahana Shetty

It’s a beautiful, well maintained villa with fascinating art in each every corner of the building. It has a huge spectacular garden area. It’s a worth visit ! The architecture of the museum is brilliant. U need to buy entry tickets and parking is free.

Tsega Edwards

An amazing piece of lesser known Florida history. Spent three hours and still had more to see. Definitely going back. Absolutely beautiful

Krishna Navaneetham

Generally ok. Good description and amazing gardens. Overall not a bad place to come and visit

David Shakespeare

If you visit Miami, you absolutely MUST visit Vizcaya. Absolutely beautiful timeless house museum and gardens.

Aliza Shoop

Fantastic place to visit. You need at least 3 hours to see everything and take your time. Be prepared for a lot of walking bc the gardens are amazing. I wouldn't take kids, unless they are really into history or walking around nature.

mj zimbauer

Worth the money, every room was more beautiful than the last

Yiyang Li

Very nice garden. Worth a visot.

Allen Row

Beautiful villa which turned out to be much younger than I initially expected.

Akeela Marin

Definitely worth visiting! The architecture is pristine, the garden is gorgeous, and the rich history can be seen in every room. I didn't do a paid tour and didn't feel like I missed out because of the signs in each room summarising what was on display.

Pedro De Camargo Júnior

Amazing historical site in the heart of Miami, if you have not been here yet you need to hurry. This is an old European style mansion with a great and beautifully yard and stonishing rooms to visit. You can easily spend a half day enjoying the garden and taking pictures by Biscayne Bay.

Chas Fryberger

Beautiful grounds. Vibrant and colourful. Surprises around every corner. This is a must visit location when in the South Miami area.

Gianna Bianconi

There’s no words to describe the beauty and fantastic history inside of Vizcaya Museum and Gardens! Starting with the parking, which is FREE and easy to find, I’ll explain some tips and good things about this museum MUST to go while in Miami: • Price for tickets is worth it: $22 per person. My personal advice: after doing the tour if you felt in love (like me!) you can go the cashier and ask about their membership, they will add your ticket value to the membership price and you only have to pay the rest. • Inside house: Start to your left. Many many “secret doors”. You will see decoration, ornaments and every detail inspired in European culture. Considering it was built in 1900, it’s so impressive the advance in some aspects like elevator, phone room, food elevator, and much more. Most of the spaces inside the house predominates caravels and boats and it has open spaces with views, either to the gardens or to the bay. • Gardens: Get ready for a long walk! Wonderful plants, designs, and keep a bottle of water full in case you get tired for the high temperatures in summer. It looks like the cafeteria is under construction, but their employees are friendly and extreme helpful taking you pictures or offering best routes to walk-in. Keep in mind to refill your bottle of water every time or at least going outside to explore the gardens. Wear fresh and light clothes because going in summer could be hot. The museum is open to host events, photo shoots and they offer their own events for members. I’m definitely going again!

Thaimy Diaz

Had a great time visiting with a friend from out of town. Great place for an impromptu photoshoot, the outside garden is very beautiful. The history of the house itself is also interesting. If you're visiting in the summer months I recommend bringing water and not forgetting the sunscreen it was so hot outside, I was glad we planned and early morning visit.

Vanessa

It’s a very beautiful place, you’ll need a bit of time to know it all. I advise you to use the map, because I didn’t use it and ended up not finding some places, which was a shame, ‘cause the place it’s really awesome.

A.J. Rmz

This place is very pretty. I would not recommend visiting in the summer. The gardens are beautiful but it is difficult to truly enjoy the beauty under the hot torching Florida summer sun. I think it would be amazing anytime other than summer. We were very thankful that the inside had AC. There really is not much of a restaurant but more of a tent set up outside with some pre-made sandwiches and some ice pops and water. I think this is because the restaurant area is under construction, I’m not sure.

Armin Rezaei

Absolutley gorgeous!! If you have the time, you MUST visit this place!!! Breathtakingly beautiful, and many photo-op places. It's $22/adult, but it's damn worth it!

gidon shaviv

My expectations were fairly low - but I was blown away. The place is stunning and really takes you far away. It feels like you are in Italy right in the heart of Miami. Don't miss the Gardens. Even smaller children (6-10) really enjoyed it.

Jeffrey Cheng

Beautiful place to spend a few hours or a whole day. Many photographers and breathtaking views

Ann Lum

Excellent experience Excellent experience wonderful tour guide will definitely go back again and have another tour

Kristin Ackerland

This magnificent home and the surrounding gardens are stunning. It's both enchanting and educational - perfect for a family excursion or date day. It's wonderful!

Cesar Barrios

Great place to visit and for photos but 240 dollars just to take photos? That seems a bit too much for my liking.

Pam Smith

An amazing place of architecture and gardens. Beautiful!

Alex pro

This place is gorgeous! I recommend anybody coming here and enjoy the beautiful gardens

Michael Suwak

Pleasant to stroll indoors, but the extensive garden and grounds are even more impressive. Multiple statues of Leda and the swan a bonus.

Ruth Miller

Nice day with family right on Biscayne Bay. The house is historic; the gardens are beautiful and relaxing. Admission price is reasonable with senior discount. No food allowed from the outside and food on premises is minimal - don't come hungry. A worthwhile 1/2 day experience; you'll go home with family photos with gorgeous backgrounds! Iguana with beautiful different colors make it a perfect place for tourists seeking to enjoy the scenic pictures.

SAMURAI

Very nice to come here with family and a good camera.

Maggie Salinas

Beautiful gardens & very opulent house. We went in June and it was very hot, but the house had A/C, so we just took breaks inside to cool down. There's plenty of seating both inside and out, so you easily spend a few hours here. It's worth the price to see such a beautiful and well-maintained estate.

Mark Schultz

What a wonderful hidden gem. Well worth the visit if you like historical landmarks.

theoryunearthed

Beautiful estate turned museum with plenty of unique and lush gardens. Highly recommend checking it out.

Betsy Lopez

We took the guided tour for $5 extra I think it was worth it. The tour is just for the 1st floor of the house. The guide was good. If you like history than this is worth it. Only problem was a bad odor when viewing the back ocean side of the house.

Skyler Watkins

This place was incredible! Tons of cool spots to pose for the Gram.

Caleb Wilson

Stunning and so unique. The inside of the house is very warm so plan appropriately

INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL! Must do visit when in Miami. We spent a good few hours exploring every corner of the gardens. Inside was also stunning. Such a unique place, definitely worth the ticket price. Parking was easy and nearby. Pictures are amazing but don’t even do it any justice! One of the highlights of our Miami trip! Would highly recommend

Beautiful grounds, garden, and house. I saw senior portraits taken here. Iguanas were plentiful.

absolutely a beautiful property to enjoy, even on a warm day as the ocean breeze cools you from many of the areas in the garden! Originally, I thought it was a high entry fee, but after spending several hours enjoying the property and it's Beauty it was definitely well worth the price of the entry!

Wow. What A lavish life the gentleman lived almost 100 years back. He had A vision for the future so that the building survives the wrath of bay. Nice place to feel. One should have time in hand and passion for past.

Breath-taking! Great value considering how much there was to see. Very well maintained inside and out. Staff helpful. Bug Bus red route stops directly outside of it.

A few blocks from downtown Brickell. Beautiful place that’s worth the visit! Definitely suggest doing the guided tour as it gives you a little bit of the history of the place. Wear comfortable shoes and enjoy the scenery :)

Really big house. But they really have to do more maintain. It looks cute in the gardens still looks dirty.

Full of history. Friendly staff and excellent guided tour (by Ken)!

Very hot and humid, but so beautiful. The area was well kept and clean. They have a cafe, but can be pricey for some. I purchased the student ticket (bring ID to show as proof)- $15 compared to regular adult fee of $20. I also purchased the tour guide book for additional $3- did not use it as much as it was too hot to stop and read. The place is stunning and filled with history. It is a must see! Words cannot describe what a beauty Vizcaya Museum is. Be prepared for lots of walking! Wear comfortable shoes.

First of all, a disclaimer. I’m not giving one star to the museum and gardens in itself. The place is beautiful. However, I’m giving the one star to the museum’s access route, for those tourists that use the Metrorail instead of cars, like me. Families and the people that use Vizcaya station and the pedestrian bridge should be warned that the area is less than safe: we were going across the bridge when a man started trying to scare us and chase us with a bicycle chain. He screamed and laughed at us like a madman, and we just ran as fast as we can. There were also people sleeping under the bridge and there were no other people within a mile. Please, keep your family and yourself safe; don’t cross the bridge. We were told that this doesn’t happen often, but it did happen to us, and we don’t want it to happen to you either. If any residents of Miami see this, talk to the police. We can help make Miami safer. Thank you.

A very beautiful place, very well taken care of. It has a free parking on the other side of the street. Staff are very friendly and very helpful. Such a nice place for taking pictires with a lot of scenes variety. Recommended for Miami visitors.

So much to see. Huge house with loads of history. Beautiful gardens and gorgeous view of the water you walk right out to. Even some very interesting wildlife - lizards, iguanas. a crocodile, and a special visit from a manatee and its baby. Wow!

Was great to see the mansion and see all the artwork. The best part for me were the outside areas the gardens

Niya Russ

Very beautiful gardens. We spent hours wandering through the gardens and museum. Definitely worth the visit if you are ever in that area.

A beautiful spot to visit in for a relaxing day. I went there with my husband and even on the weekend it wasn't terribly crowded. They're giving military and student discounts. If you like historical places the general admission is also worth it. My highlight we're the gardens and the impressive statues in the water

Autumn Gorman

one of a kind magical place! everything about this estate is beautiful, it’s as though you’ve stepped into Italy while still in Miami. I could’ve spent a whole week here and there definitely is a weeks worth of things to see here! the gardens seem to never end and yet every single square inch is pretty

Absolutely stunning place with beautiful gardens. They have a free parking for visitors and discounts for students. There is a little food kiosk outside the building as good and drinks are not allowed inside. A must see if you’re in Miami area.
