On my first visit to the Collection in late 2015, I attended the No Man's Land show which only had works of female artists. The galleries presented a varied collection, with artists of varied backgrounds represented by some of their iconic pieces. Ground-level galleries had high-ceiling areas for supersculptures and installations, and second-level paintings and and smaller sculptures occupy nicely paced galleries showered with natural lighting. This place is at the level of top contemporary galleries in NY and CA!

I know they are moving, and it bums me out. Ive been to events, openings and just normal browsing. the art is quite good, the space is bright and open. Parking does suck so hopefully new site will resolve that. I love the Rubell. From special events to normal weekends, I also find something new and fresh to get hypnotized with.

There's parking in front (download the app) General entrance is $10 but if you're a student and present your student ID it's $5 It has a ramp on the entrance Has two floors, an elevator and a staircase It also has a small sitting area with three low sofas that face around a little fireplace (it's not lit it just a group of stones in a circle)

One of the most special collections making up Wynwood’s art-filled galleries, the private holdings of collectors Mera and Donald Rubell are a must-stop on the global art go-around. (They were neighborhood pioneers, after all.) The Rubells’ at once controversial, eccentric, and thought-provoking pieces include Andy Warhol, Yayoi Kusama, and Keith Haring in spades; they’re known for supporting young American artists as well. Opt for the audio tour, which is included in the price of admission, but if you can time it right, plan your visit around the twice-daily guided tours (at 11am & 3pm). After 23 years in the neighborhood, the family recently announced they’ll be moving their collection to a 2.5-acre campus designed by Selldorf Architects in 2018, which will include 40 galleries, a research library, and a tropical sculpture garden.
