REVIEWS OF Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science IN Florida

The museum is nice and very educational. My friend was wearing a spaghetti strap shirt not exposing anything and the people in the ticket booth had us hold on for a little until we asked what was taking so long. They were waiting for a manager to approve my friends shirt which we just gave her a cardigan to throw over so we didn't take any longer to get in. We went in and there's females wearing short skirts and shorts, crop tops showing midriffs, women wearing spaghetti straps with no bra. We felt discriminated against. Wouldn't come back.

Great for all ages. I went with my nephew (11yo), my niece (8 yo) and my daughter (1 yo). We all had fun! At some point I needed to nurse my daughter and the staff was so nice finding me a private place to nurse her immediately. 5 stars to the staff! Thank you for your kindness!

Ben Watkins

Great experience highly reccomended for families, would love more exhibits

Edwin Seaton

Great experience, if you want to play at the engineers part, you better get there before 4:00 pm

Carol Murphy

Kids and adults will enjoy this venue. It is open air, but with cover so you can visit in inclement weather, no problem. The views over the water are incredible! There are many wonderful exhibits, a planetarium with several shows, a good cafe, and MetroMover station on site. Purchase tickets on line at least 2 days prior and save a few dollars per ticket. Enjoyed!

Anita Russell

We had a 6 hour layover in Miami after reading reviews this was best suited to my 10 year olds interest. We only brought backpacks and checked our luggage so we could enjoy the museum. I’d recommend taking an Uber vs taxi as the cost is about half the price. Entrance fee was typical to other museums that also offer a planetarium show. Timing wise we started with the planetarium and then worked our way up the floors. We had lunch here on the patio the pizza and the tater tots were great! We would recommend this museum to travelers. There is something for everyone of all ages.

Levente Boros

Nice place to come with your children, but on a pricey side. For a family of 3 its over 100 dollars.

Beatrice Thomas

Amazing museum. Loved the optic illusion room and the aquarium. But there early because the planetarium theatre sells out quickly.

Setareh Tajbakhsh

For it’s amazing structure, the museum introduces too little space and science based displays and activities. Once you visit NASA and Sea world, this museum has nothing to offer! If museum was aiming for STEM type of set up, then each section should have had either an individual attending or an interactive audio to go with it to walk kids through the process. Parents are not going to read everything and explain to their kids. Therefore kids play without knowing the science behind it. Like any other business, I suggest this museum chooses one branch of science and sticks to it.

Sara Lively

So much fun for all ages! From aquariums, to interactive activities, to the planetarium, there's some fun here for everyone. Personally I really loved petting the stingrays and seeing all the different types of jellies they had.

Elaine G

What an amazing place! There is something here for everyone. The exhibits are great, but don't forget to take time to appreciate the architecture too! Located on the water, you won't be disappointed. Keep in mind parking is pricey.

ILISH V

Worked as an AV Tech for about a year. Best job I had using state of the art equipment like Crestron, QSC, and Hog lighting control. Must be detail oriented and have IT knowledge for troubleshooting. The employees are the best co-workers you could ask for. Honestly miss everyone. Would recommend if looking for steady PT or FT AV gig. You can't beat the view or Starbucks on sight.

Aaron Ricedup7

Had a blast at this place with my dad and girlfriend. We watched a short film about asteroids, there is alot of brain games and puzzles to play with. Information on Sea life and corals. How planes advanced and the aerodynamics of planes birds and space crafts. Even demonstration of solar and wind energy! And of course a HUGE aquarium!

Zaida

My kids had a wonderful time! We absolutely loved this museum. Definitely going back

Axiel Munoz

Thamy Sorel

If you are visiting Miami you should totally see this place. It is amazing, not like a boring museum, it has a lot to do and a lot to see. Amazing views from the top, amazing aquarium. It is totally worth. I just think it is a little bit overpriced (was $29 tickets when I went again few days ago..)

Theresa Guerra

Fun and informative. Very hands on. Parking is way too much money.

Shevy R

This museum is amazing!! The exhibits are phenomenal and interactive. It is great for a family trip and suitable for a kids of all ages. It's a bit expensive but worth every cent!!

t t

Amazing place to go with kids. There are lots of fun activities. There is ample parking. It is also semi connected to the Perez Art Museum which happens to be a nice place to have lunch. The views are magnificent! Kids and adults will enjoy it immensely. There is a kids water play area so bring extra clothes just in case. We really enjoyed it.

Hiram Ruiz

Something for every age group. Beautiful buildings nicely laid out. Planetarium and aquarium great.

Ann Mullen

They have the most incredible aquariums ever. Not only can you view the multi-story aquariums from the top, but also on each floor including looking underneath (looking up) through them consisting of 3 stories. They have mutiple tanks with different fish habitats and a bird sanctuary, turtles, snakes, alligators and a crocodile. They also have tanks to touch starfish and stingrays. The planetarium movie is also very good. This place was incredible and I would recommend it.

ric hallam

Most museums in the UK are free as educational experiences, so disappointing that a 3 year old has to pay $25 and even more disappointing that he just wanted to see the fish so we arrived at 5pm one evening- an hour before closing and had to pay for him and me and my elderly mother a total of $85. There should be better dates for younger children and seniors and why not a “late bird rate”. Feel ripped off.

chris treutle

Took the train on the way from West Palm Beach the bright-line really made it happen and when we got there the museum and the outdoor Cafe at the art museum next door was spectacular right there on Bayside

Jodi Hart

Excellent activity for any age. We had a great time. Very educational and relaxing. Lots of live exhibits to see. Also very relaxing. We spent the whole day there and it is definitely worth the price.

Brian Herring

This is a great place to spend the day whith the family. The show on dark matter was fantastic. We spent lots of time at the aquarium. There are many interactive learning experiences. We will definitely go again.

Edgar Cruz

This is an amazing place to go have fun with kids and adults it has a planetarium and and excellent view of Miami port and bay. It has many activities for kids and an awesome aquarium inside. Kids and adults will enjoy it. If you are a Miami resident, you will get a discount

Steven Daniels

Amazing spot downtown! The kiddos we were with ranged in age from 3-11 and all had a great time.

Luis Romero

This place is awesome, you can go with the entire family and I am pretty sure that you will have a wonderful day, if you buy the membership you can go the entire year and there are so many things to do that you will go several times during that year and also can assist to multiple really good events.

WilliamTortuga

Very nice science museum with attractions that you can interact with.

First of I would like to commemorate The Frost Museum for their Raptor Rehabilitation Center. I enjoy the moments I can show my kids our finer moments as a species. Now for the reason for the 3 stars. I specifically went to this museum because I thought it was more geared towards kids. It’s not. The building is beautiful and the views amazing. The exhibit were good, but not designed to keep younger minds engaged. Most of the museum is the standard look and read model, which isn’t bad, I was just expecting more with the higher end sticker price and pricey parking. Family of 4 quickly racks up and in this economy you have to use your dollars wisely. Also I personally didn’t have any problems with the staff, but most of them gave off a disconnected vibe. Most of them are probably volunteers but when you get charged a premium you expect a certain level of courtesy. Overall if you’re looking to get more bang for your educational buck this one rates a 3, but if you’re looking to hang out by bayside for like 2 hrs, this is the spot for you.

Arif Williams

I can only imagine how much this museum cost to build. They have a planetarium, interactive activities for the kids, baby alligators, stingrays the kids can touch, and lots of other fun activities to do.

Jonathan Aleman

A very new and beautiful museum which has state of the art technology to help explain and show the world of science. Very good exhibitions although they were few and the Planetarium was amazing with its in depth shows. The aquarium was another beautiful attraction having all the sea creatures found here in Miami. Price wise it’s super expensive for the basic adult ticket which feels overpriced due to the few exhibitions. Even so the museum was a great experience and definitely a place to take younger kids to explore cool science

JR Walls

The planetarium is is awesome! Great show! Also has a pretty aquarium, sharks, stingrays, and a neat aviation room. Not the coolest museum I've been to, but vast improvement. I think it was built in 2015. Open till 6. Rooftop affords glorious views of downtown so don't go on a rainy day.

Juan Alvarez

This place has the potential to become a great museum but it is still lacking a lot in its exhibits.... the aquarium is outstanding and so is the planetarium, its it's a bit pricey ,I spent 80 bucks on the entrances alone( 2 adults 1 child) .Thank god We got here on our bikes ,parking is 8 dollars the first hour and then 4 bucks every additional hour, we stayed here from 1pm to 6 pm ,that would of been an extra 28 bucks if we would of gotten there in our car

Noel Lastrella

Great place to take the kids. The family membership is very much worth it and pays for itself on the second visit. The area is a great place to walk around too. Bring a bike or a scooter and the downtown area is very much accessible.

Sean Segal

It would be nice if they updated their exhibits and more.

Jen Semper

This place gets so much positive mentions I had high expectations. It did not disappoint!! It was so hot and they had plenty of indoor ac to keep us entertained for 4 hours! Planetarium show was mesmerizing, even the elevators were an experience. So much interactive stuff for even a 1.5 year old I can't wait to go back! So much in Miami disappoints for the price... This is not one. I recommend to anyone. My son loved all the aquariums the most.

Lisa S

What a nice museum and phenomenal location. Enjoyable mix of the aquarium and the planetarium plus the other special exhibits. The views, especially from the top floor, are beautiful

Fake KristyTristyListy Gacha

Nicest museum Ive been to locally. You can spend and entire day here. The new Planetarium is very cool.

Thomas Walsh

Compact and remarkable museum with aquarium, planetarium and aviary. Great interactive and instructive kids area. Even food was good and reasonable price

Ms. Jacqueline Reynolds

Great place for adults and children. We had a great time! Definitely recommend this pace and we will be going back again.

Maddy Mccomb

A fantastic family outing on a rainy South Florida weekend. The price of admission is not too expensive and if you are a resident of Miami-Dade County, there's a cheaper add-on as well. We had a wonderful time with our children. The museum and aquarium are well worth it, and the IMAX theater had an excellent variety of films staggered throughout the day. This relatively new museum is right next to Perez Latin American Art Museum and has amazing collection of science exhibitions in a gorgeous setting. Easy to reach because right on downtown People Mover.

NeonArsenic

A real engaging place. The exhibits are really nice and decor is cool as well. The only thing to watch out for is food prices and gift shop prices (as they can reach a high cost). Overall, a really good time to be had here.

Tania Mendez

I love this place. Its my daughter's favorite place to go which makes it even better. The mwmbership is definitely worth getting. The staff are always helpful, friendly & informative.

Abigail Jiron

This was the best Museum I have ever been too, there are many attractions and things to do here. This is also a great place to bring your children they will have so much fun here. The planetarium here is great as well as the aquarium. There are also 5 floors of fun.

Nicole

Hearing all the excitement and hype about this museum got my expectations high & it's not as amazing as it sounds. The architecture of the building is amazing and the vibes are cool. But as far as the exhibits and things to see not really entertaining. My favorite part was probably the last level which has birds and fishes and you get a nice view of the port. Definetly should check it out but it's a one time thing.

V L

This is a great museum for kids, but definitely not a museum for adults. They should adjust their advertising and make it clear. On top of that service wasn't friendly.

Sidnee Freeman

Very nice museum! I enjoyed visiting during my stay in Miami. Tickets were reasonable in my opinion. The line to the restaurant was extremely long (waited about an hour to take the order) and with the on and off rain in Florida, it was hard to remain dry. The exhibits were really cool and the IMAX was awesome. I felt like a little kid again (I love science museums) lol. Definitely recommend!!

Yvette Monge

Such a great rainy day activity in Miami with aquariums and a fantastic and innovative approach to teaching us about the history of our ecosystems, mangroves, energy sourcing and it's evolution, matter, water currents, exotic non invasive species, invasive exotic species, engineering ,science and renewable energy sources as well as restoration of our ecosystems and coral reef to protect our enviornment and the future of our world! I give it 5 awesome stars!! Great place!. family friendly!!

dawn emerson

The museum has a lot to see and do. The aquarium was nice. We bought our tickets at the kiosk so we didn't have to wait in line.

Elena Evsikova

Wonderful place to spend Sunday, no matter if you are a child or an adult. The aquarium is not the best and biggest one, but still brings a lot of fun. Nice show in Planetarium is included in the ticket.

Carissa Huizer

Planetarium show was incredible! Many interactive places for young children and adults alike. Aquarium is serene and tranquil throughout the building.

Gabriel Cantero

Overpriced, overpriced, OVERPRICED. Parking is 8 dollars an HOUR, and $4 each additional hour after that. 2 tickets with the miami resident discount cost us $50 dollars and 4 hours of parking another 20. The museum itself is not that fun. If you like to read than you will have a blast, other than that theres not too many interactive activities where you can get hands on like other scientists museums. We watched the Liam Neeson planetarium show that's included with your ticket purchase and it was boring. The first 5 minutes were captivating because of the screen but the substance and actual imaging of the movie were bland. I fell asleep. The only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars and not one is because of the aquarium displays and manta ray interaction. Other than that this place would get a 1 because its not even 100 percent wheel chair accessible, I was in a wheelchair because of my knee and none of the doors for the different attractions had the button to open by themselves. My girlfriend or other people had to hold them open for me, and they are heavy so I dont think someone alone in a wheel chair would be to comfortable coming here.

A. D.

Really good museum, took my boyfriend here to see the Planetarium show about space and stars etc. He absolutely loved it.

Mitch Honan

This museum is great. Plenty of kid friendly stuff but also good for adults. The Friday night laser shows at the planetarium are a must see for someone visiting Miami

Joel McCormick-Goodhart

It was a good experience. My wife and I went, which was fun, however I would say it would probably be best for a family with kids. The exhibits were neat, the best were the fish exhibits.

VISITORS BEWARE! READ THIS!! If you decide to go to the Frost museum and park your car in their garage, think again. DO NOT trust their garage OR THEIR SECURITY GUARDS. I arrived and parked at 12. When I got back at 5, both front tires of my car were completely empty and to the ground! I immediately went upstairs to speak to security. At this point I was more concerned about a maintenance man to help put air in my tires so I could leave, and to see if security could review footage to see if there was anyone that did this. They immediately told us they didnt have cameras but "would try to see something". When we get downstairs, I call AAA to come fill up my tires and leave. When we get back to the car we notice theres a camera set up right IN FRONT of my car, so they should definitely be able to see something. After 5 minutes passed, a woman security guard comes out and says she didnt see anything in the cameras, and was very unwilling to help and trying to say it happened "somewhere else." When AAA comes to fill up my tire, we found out it wasn't the air that was let out. Someone SLASHED my tires on PURPOSE! The air was leaving quicker than it came in, and there were slash marks on my tires of someone clearly sticking a sharp object into them. There was NO WAY this could have happened anywhere else. I wouldn't have even been able to drive 100 feet without damaging my wheels, let alone 15 miles away from where I live just to get here. I went back upstairs to speak with someone again to see if someone else was more willing to help us. Upon entering the guest services office, we encountered a woman who seemed to be a manager of some sort (first time seeing her in this whole scenario). Before we even asked her anything and let her know of the situation, she was responding with attitude and seemed to know about the situation already and was defending the security guards and just advised us to call the police and theres nothing they can do. So I call to file a police report and the policeman arrives on scene very soon. He advises me that it DOES indeed appear to be that someone slashed my tires on purpose and should be able to see what happened in the cameras. He returns LESS than 5 minutes later and said they DID NOT want to show him the footage, but "THEY" reviewed it 3 times and saw nothing, so his hands were tied. Now you tell me, if nothing happened to my car, and they had nothing to hide and they actually wanted to help us, why would they not show the footage to the policeman? Everybody we encountered had a cavalier and nonchalant attitude, including the "head of security" who was treating us like children. Very unwilling to help, very suspiscious situation. We tried to get a tow but a flatbed tow couldn't even get into the garage. Considering the whole situation that happened IN THEIR GARAGE, they didnt even validate my parking to be free. And ON TOP, I had to come back at night with another car to rescue my car and had to pay parking for THAT car too! What's the point of security and cameras if they're unwilling to help and "secure"anything?? Whether it was one of their employees, or someone just passing by, their unwillingness to help US AND THE OFFICER in this situation seems very suspect and should make anyone planning to come here suspiscious too. Never coming here again. Terrible experience. Terrible people, terrible staff (manager and security).

Cesar Sagastume

Beautiful architecture and view of Port of Miami. Love the novelty of all the sections they have available to see, especially the aquarium area! Being a Miami native, always difficult to get anywhere near the south beach or downtown area, recommend going early in the morning. Most of the museum is more adult friendly due to how informative the science sections are, not enough interactive settings available in comparison to the Orlando Science center. Maybe I'm spoiled, but i'm sure they'll work on out soon. Parking is a joke. Admissions is about $25 per person, by the time you want to park you have the total hourly parking, it should be a flat fee. Overall, beautiful museum, more of once and in a blue moon day hike.

Larry Hickman

Rude customer service, astronomical parking garage fee. Was not allowed in because of online booking error and was told would have to purchase new tickets, so we threw away $55.90. I do not recommend this museum to anyone. Would rate this zero stars, but no way to do so.

Manuel Rodriguez

We are ATSC members from another city. Been to several museums like this throughout the country. The big attraction here is the bottom of the tank. Overall the museum lacked content compared to other science centers and was one of the most expensive. But located on the shore by the Miami heat arena made for great scooter rides after the museum.

Larnell Brown

Nice place to enjoy time with the family! This was my first time going to this museum although I have visited Miami a plethora of times and I must say that it was time well spent. They had a number of fun interactive activities for the kids and a little aquarium. We will be going back.

Kiti Adderley

My children loved it. Sky to bottom of the sea experience. Great features on the human body.

melissa belyea

The museum is a bit pricey for what you get. entrance only includes one planetarium show. The exhibits were very interactive and fun but the building itself is a bit hard to navigate. While the exhibits are enjoyable for any age there were large groups of kiddos in most areas. Overall a fun day just give yourself plenty of time to see it all.

Kelsea Lozada

Really awesome museum - super interactive and a lot of variety. Covers multiple sciences: ecology, marine biology, engineering, earth and space, and biology. Military and first responders and teachers (with ID) get in free which is awesome too

Johanny Djordjervic

Great museum. The exhibitions are always changing and interesting. Perfect place to spend time enjoying the nice cool Miami breeze and beautiful views of the bay and downtown area while feeding the mind. A place the whole family will enjoy.

Brayan Saravia

Great for a weekend family activity, highly recommended to buy the tickets on line. If you go in groups try to take one car. The parking for 4 hours is $24. Adults $30 & kids $20. It is a great opportunity to enjoy and learn something new at the same time. The shows at the planetarium are amazing, it would be preferred to take the seats on the top.

Nicole Harrigan

Food was good, corn bread was very dry but everything else was ok. Staff was nice, service was great. Will return.

James Paige

Beautiful structure, great views but a complete rip off! Almost $30pp with a family of 5 it cost me almost $200 as parking isn't even included. I go to gumbo limbo in Boca Raton regularly and they have almost a better display for FREE!! (you can leave a small donation.) I would't recommended to anyone really. Leaves you feeling robbed!

Martha Hong

Very unusual Science and aquatic museum. I loved the fact that it was open to the outdoors. Very easy to navigate and one special feature is included in the price of the ticket. Lovely outdoors seating on the Art Museum side. Overall, very appealing to kids and adults.

Jennifer

Really wanted to bring my 8 yr old here today for the first time, but that's not gonna happen now or ever. My son is autistic & has sensory processing disorder. He only eats pureed foods. I called to inquire about a microwave to heat up his lunch later on today & was told that there was no microwave accessible to the public, nor could they heat his food up for me. I am shocked that there isn't a better policy in place like this, for children with special needs. My family is so disappointed. We were all looking forward to going to the museum today.

pbnd J

Really big place but not a lot going on in terms of stuff to see. It has a lot of little games for kids. I liked it but didn't love it

Kaylyn Buzzell

So much fun here!!! Such a cool museum! Very interactive & educational. We loved the planetarium and the different levels of the aquarium we're so neat! Located in a beautiful area with great views, also has a nice little café and coffee shop too! Definitely worth it to spend an afternoon exploring!

D G

Fun, huge place. Joel was a stellar employee who helped me find things I needed more than I could count. Give Joel a raise, and definitely go here with your kids or for a date.

Lee Incorporated

I really enjoyed this meuseum. I even purchased the annual family pass. The only negative comments I have are the limited science movie choices, and the cost of the food at their restaurant. It felt as if I were at Disney World purchasing food items. The staff are all professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous. Great place for the family, but if you are on a budget, pack lunches.

Juana Ocampo

It’s 10 am they serve breakfast here according to them and there is nothing available. Bathrooms don’t even have soap, you would think a science museum would have automated pumps for soap. Employees at entrance don’t even greet you or say good morning . I expected a more inviting environment, not so much .

Eduardo Oceguera

Amazing experience. It's not like your ordinary museum. There are multiple floors, and each exhibit is huge. Getting food is a bit of a hassle though, but there was a food truck outside, so no big deal. Was a bit expensive though. I was fortunate enough to go with an amazing friend and I cannot thank him enough.

Joel Franco

I've visited this museum around 3-4 times since it opened. The exhibits are cool to look at and engaging at times. They do a good job at changing up the exhibits and planetarium shows. My only complaint, which is just my opinion, is I wish they would've built the entire museum indoors (only the exhibits are indoors). The food shop has a good selection and even a cafe. I had no complaints with the chicken tenders and lemonade I ordered. I recommend visiting if you're a local or tourist.

Fiona Oloughlin

Very disappointed with the museum it advertises itself to be amazing but the exhibition on the first floor was closed two Hands on exhibition areas were aimed at children yet adults must pay $29 to enter. There is very little that would appeal to adults visiting without children which was our situation so almost 100 dollars for 2 hours The only part we really enjoyed was the planetarium show and despite their being 3 we were only permitted to view one. The aquarium was also good but that was not what we wanted to see but could not purchase seperate tickets. Not good value for money at all. Such a large building with few exhibits.

Moe Izadpanah

Overall a great day for families and anyone looking for something fun and educational. A little bit on the pricey side but still worth the visit and a great deal if you become a member. They have plenty of activities and exhibits to keep everyone entertained for hours. The also have great overnight activities for kids that are truly unique. They have an interesting mix of things to do and the planetarium is a great break from exploring. Their food service is actually one of the better ones I've experienced. The food quality was much better than I expected and the service is fast and friendly. This is definitely a plus if you didn't pack any snacks and you get hungry. They have a good menu with plenty of healthy options. The only complaint I have is that parking is expenses; but then again, parking is expensive everywhere in Downtown Miami.

Emily A

Totally worth it! The area was very large and had a lot to offer. The aquarium was our favorite part, and then the planetarium. The give a $3 student discount as well. Did not try the food court. Scott in the aquarium was very nice and answered all of our questions!

Nelson Estevez

I love anything that has to do with tech and space. Highly recommend if you want to spend some quality, educational time with the family. For all ages. Love the planet earth theatre room show. It was very interesting. I might go back in a couple of years to catch up on anything I missed. You can spend 4 or 5 hours there easily. I don't think the price is that bad, but parking is pretty pricy (that's a killer). Never really packed, but go early and you'll have no problem.

Amber St Onge

Wow! How awesome is this place!!! We were in town for the weekend & it was pouring all day on our last day in Miami. We were in need of something to do indoors instead of heading back to Sarasota. This place had it all - something for everyone!! My kids 10 & 12 enjoyed all it had to offer! Our favorite was the planetarium show & aquariums. We'd definitely come back on a rainy day since most fun things to do in Miami are outside. Thanks Frost Museum for saving our last day in Miami!!

Jamie Valente

Definitely for children. Not enjoyable for adults AT ALL. Everything was very childish. Pricey as well. Paid about 16$ to park.

karen tierney

Terrific hands on exhibits. Beautiful coral and fish. Alligators birds frogs turtles. Planetarium show. It was a wonderful experience.

Sandra Myrtue

Although the museum is mostly for older kids, we still had a lot of fun with our toddler. At the very end we even discovered a small section just for the little ones, which was a big hit. The view from the top is great, and the whole place is well designed. Only downside is that some of the exhibitions are pretty text-heavy as opposed to visual. The biggest hit was the light-up dance floor

Nick Ciancio

This is perhaps the best science center that I've visited! The bioluminescence exhibit was creatively designed & informative. There are usually a lot of school kids, so perhaps you should try to go around times where kids wouldn't be in school. The renewable energy exhibit was also fun & interactive.

Stephanie Toledo

Loved the museum! Amazing fish tanks everywhere. Lovely exhibit on roof top with view of bay. Baby/Toddler playroom and outdoor water table was a highlight for the kids. Highly recommend for families.

Jessica Tomayko

So much fun for all ages and members of the family

Mariann Szucs

This is the perfect place to spend valuable time with your kids. Their exhibits change often enough that it never gets boring. And the planetarium is a blast. Highly recommend it!

Pamela Russell

A great place to take the family. My 9 month old, 3 yr old and 13 yr old always love going. Membership is well worth it.

shaun mattucci

Had a blast, absolutely killer views up on the top level. Didn't know what to expect. The planetarium show was neat, cooler experience to see a screen that big. The food was pretty good too! No need to pack a lunch, the food came out quick and hot! Starbucks to give you that boost of energy! By far impressed with the aquarium and wildlife. We enjoyed it and will be back hopefully next time we are free a day in downtown Miami! 5 stars. Only draw back was paid parking but then again, the cars safe...not beating hot from sitting in the sun, and spaces large enough so nobodys hitting your car with their door! So the one negative has its positives!

Ericka S

Love this place! So much to wonder into. If you love learning about new things in our environment, space, bodies and all around this is the place. New exhibitions that allow your creativity to flow and wander. Great place for the animal lover as well. An amazing aquarium with lots of sea life. Smaller sections in which you can learn about different fishes and sea life too. My fav was the NASA exhibition.

Valeria Nunez

Superb! Worth every minute, every cent. Good for children of all ages!

Angela Hovi

I took my four year old son, and we really enjoyed our time. The planetarium show was incredible! My son loved the aquarium with the hammer head sharks, stingrays and other fish, the topography sensory station, the touch pool, and fossils. He was a little young for some of what was offered, but I would definitely go again. Also great cafe and coffee shop. Staff were all very pleasant and helpful.

James Buscemi

Great stuff for the kids. The planetarium show was just amazing. Cool attractions on each of 5 or 6 floors.

Pablo Portalatin

If you ever come to Miami, dont miss this place. There are about six level of fun, interactive activities. There are description for each stuff that you see. You can learn a lot by reading them. You can learn stuff about solar energy, how to save the coral reefs, matter, and many more stuff. I will come back to this place one day and read more of the description to truly enjoy the museum. This is fun for all ages as well as educational. Please come visit if you get the chance, it is not that expensive. The ticket even includes a show from the planetarium and those are always amazing.

Taryn Solari

Love this place!! So awesome in so many ways, my daughter loves it and my friends love it!!! Keep bringing knowledge our way!!

Tiffany Holley

I am in love with this place! I could watch the planetarium show again and again and never tire of it. This place is absolutely a must see for families or even couples. Nothing here disappoints.

Was very educational and fun at the same time had an amazing time 10 out of 10 would go again

Joan Nasha

We enjoyed our visit here in this Science Museum. The planetarium exhibits are the best. My kids loved it here. There are a lot of things to do and see. A must visit place for parents and their children.

Anthony Belfiore

Frost is amazing! My 2.5 year old lit up with excitement as soon as we got there and didn't stop until we left! We'll definitely be going back! I would strongly recommend taking your children of all ages. In fact, I personally had a blast!

Brittany Janes

For the price I paid, I was expecting a lot more. The location and building was beautiful, but it lacked substance. It was confusing to even find the entrance to any of the exibits, and most of them were basic and underwhelming. The only interesting part was the aquarium.

amber eisinger

Great place, lots to see and do. Our 2 and 4yr olds both enjoyed it. The Planetarium show is very cool- worth the extra money. The only negative was how busy it was. We went on a Tuesday morning in the rain and it was packed. I wouldn't dream of going over the weekend.

Alejandro Lopez

Yes, very good place to spend time with your family. The only things we don't like - price. Fora family of 3 plus parking will cost you$100, which is not fair.

Beth Godbey

The cafe was over priced (as expected) but the food was not good, $8 for a small wrap with chicken, Romain and sauce, $11 for a burger, $3 for soggy fries. Free catsup with ants though :/

Daniel Oliveira

Kids had a great time. Really enjoyed it especially the planetarium show. However, beware the school trips. Until they arrived it was peaceful, once the place was full of kids it got loud but we were still able to enjoy

Dani Snow

Loved this place, was looking to kill some time and the attractions in movies were spot-on great for adults and kids

Todd Hauser

This museum is great and offers a large variety of exhibits and attractions for kids to interact with that they will love.

Rosario Mammella

The museum it is very nice. The LASER show Bob Marley it was very actractive.

kateryna lining

Super fun place! It’s real cool that the planetarium is included in the price of the admission. Loved the exhibitions they had. And my favorite ever jelly fish! They had so many different kinds!

Christina De Los Reyes

Overall great experience. Staff is extremely nice and welcoming. Beautiful facility

Anna Akumova

My favorite place in Miami! I got an annual pass and couldn’t be happier with that decision. I come whenever I feel like I need a relaxing time - the fishies and the whole atmosphere does the job every time. Love the seasonal exhibits and the Planetarium shows. Excellent for ALL ages (I’m 24 and my husband is 28 and we enjoy it every single time)

Bernie Maribona

Amazing place and great location. So many things to view and do, A must do is the Planetarium Theater. The place is out of this world, Also wow wow fish tanks all over and walk under the big tank to see the Rays, Sharks & all types of fishes. Kids will have lots of fun and adults too. Note: set a full day here, like 5 hours to enjoy everything. A must go. Good food and great prices. Highly recommend this place.

Olga Torres

Always a great experience with my 6 yo daughters. It’s best to get the museum yearly pass if you plan on attending at least twice in one year. Only negative is the food as the choices could be better and the coffee station needs more employees.

Andrea wolverton

Everything was amazing. The presentations we saw were well put together, about actual science, and very interactive. The design of the museum is super clever and very immersive, and I definitely recommend starting on floor 5 and working your way back down. A lot of the displays are also interactive, including touch tanks and games, and we easily spent five hours here without getting bored.

Rachel P

Great science museum for all ages. Really liked that they combined natural science and marine biology so you got the traditional science experience mixed with aquarium highlights. Order tickets online the day before for a discount.

Veziah Hutchinson

Great place to spend a weekend with your family. The museum exhibits are indoors but going from exhibit to exhibit requires you to be exposed to the elements (heat/rain). Kind of like a motel where you have to go outside to get to the lobby. Be conscious of that. If the weather it good it will be a beautiful outting.

Kasandra Murray

Pretty fun place but the saff was amazing when we lost our phone in the planetarium. Jonathan with the Security team went above and beyond and was extremely professional and helpful. There was a young lady running the ticketing in the planetarium that was super helpful as well but I didn't catch her name. We visited on 6/16.

Supah Dude

This is a very cool place. So many hands on activities even fun for an adult. I couldn't imagine being a kid and getting a field trip here. I would of had the time of my life. You have to go!!! Plus if you go to the sun deck you will have an amazing view.

daniel role

Amazing place to spend the day with your kids and family. They have a planetarium, educational shows, multiple levels of activities and a beautiful aquarium exhibit. They have a beautiful view of miami on the top level and offer a lot of variety of local wildlife for you to learn about. It's a decent price for a day visit and the parking was quick and easy as well. You do have to pay for the parking, but I don't think it was very expensive. It was easy to lacate from the highway and was a lot of fun!

Hayley Petch

This was an amazing experience the variety of animals and the environment they are in seems professional and well looked after.. Although have to mention we went while a school trip were there at least 2 different schools, and the stingrays looked a bit stressed out with the so much noise and splashing the water trying to touch them. Other than all animals seem quite OK. I truly loved the experience

Steven Carlton

Great place to kill time between cruise and flight and they offer free luggage storage. Our 5yo and 8yo loved it and we spent about 3 hours there.

mario andres

Very nice place. It is pretty big, it has a planetarium, an aquarium section. Many games and different science things , activities. This museum's target audience is family and kids mainly. Not the ideal place for young adults, but it can still be really fun. I had a great time. I have nothing to criticize.

Sarah Cooke

Definitely very kid-oriented, but still had a great time! Loved the aquarium side.

Hugo

The museum was really cool, but some of the machines were not working, and there wasn't a lot of stuff. I think that they should check the machines monthly or yearly, and put more stuff in the touching pool, But it was really cool and fun i recommend it especially for the kids.

Willy Gomez

This is one of the best museums that Miami have, when you go start early so you can explore all the areas and perform the hundreds of experiments that they have, it will take you the whole day. The museum has ample pay parking but you can take the monorail that if you are not from the city will be another attraction.

geth pjl90

Really nice; but expensive,. $30 on parking, $30 per adult, $20 children and extra on planetarium. Nice place though, I enjoyed it, an all day event!

AK Digital

We went to the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science last Saturday. This Museum is a must go with kids. It was fun and beautiful. Definitely Recommended! However, the parking fee was a bit expensive. We went for 3.5 hours and it costed $20. We will give it an 8.5 out of 10.

Joesef Hurst

This place is pretty fire to be honest. Cool attractions for kids and adults. However, the movie dome thing can be rough if, like me, you get motion sick easy. Still, I 100% recommend going at least once.

Alejandro Head

Dynamic Earth video was pretty incredible. Definitely makes you think. The aquarium portions of the museum were great as well.

JONATHAN DIPALMA

This place is fun everytime we go. The kids get to interact with everything. The Cafe there is fairly priced and the food is all natural and some what healthy for you. I love this place and so does the wife and kids. Free for Military which is always appreciated.

Clarissa Campos

Amazing experience. I had so much fun. The planetarium show is incredible to watch. Perfect for kids!!!

Ramon Zavero

Only 4 stars because the hot dogs are awful but in general the museum is beautiful, worth every penny. Just don't forget to purchase tickets in advance and choose an event in the planetarium. If you thinking to purchase your tickets on site, most likely you'll missed the chance to see one of planetarium's events.

Shelby Feierstadt

Took the day off and my bf surprised me to take me here as we both have never been and only have heard good things. Let’s see... horrible. Overrated. Not sure what anyone sees in this place. I guess if you have never seen an aquarium before they have a small one. They have some animals and fish to look at. Their interactive things are very childish. More for children not adults. Although not sure how the kids would understand the shows. Disappointed. Don’t waste your money.

Martin Mikhail

This place is overpriced, and underwhelming. $29.95 for adult (2) admissions and then $8 for the first hour of parking then $4 for every hour after that. At the end of the day I spent $100 to include food. What does that get you? 3 buildings, 6 floors each with exhibits that truly stink. Just because it's Miami doesn't mean it has to be expensive. Don't go here, you will be disappointed. The only saving grace, maybe, is that aquarium. But if you wanna spend money go to Disney World.

Edgar Tooley

Nice museum experience. This is really three museums in one with a planetarium, aquarium and science museum. Each section is high quality but smaller than you might find in a museum dedicated to one theme. The highlight for me was the gulf stream tank with the ocularus window. I was able to get to the museum easily on the metro rail and metro mover. And I took some time to enjoy the park and ocean view. There food on the high side with very little selection but was will prepared and the staff was beyond friendly and helpful. The view from the outdoor patio is amazing.

Alexander B

Cool museum. A lot of aquariums, nice planetarium. Kids will love it.

Holly Blair

This place is amazing. I was dubious as a lot of the reviews said it was just tablets and exhibits. Our toddler loved this place, and we saw older kids thoroughly enjoying themselves. It was a cool retreat from the Miami sun and we easily could've stayed all day. They kindly stored our carseat for us as we came in a taxi. Huge amount to see and do. There's a dedicated toddler area with interactive Everglades display. A big aquarium section with sharks and a tank where you can pet sting rays. An aviary. Snakes, crocodiles, dinosaurs, helicopters, airplanes, planetarium shows, a whole room to do with the human body. There's music and an interactive light floor that all the kids spent ages running and dancing on. Lots of clean bathrooms and water fountains, helpful and friendly staff. Plus you get a phenomenal view across the city from the roof terrace.

Elizabeth Hume

Stunning museum with lots of fun and interactive exhibits! You could spend the whole day there! The price is decent and includes a planetarium show! Worth it 100%!

Lingheswar Sadhasivam

Such an underrated place. It's new, lot of good science collections, interactive and fun. The planetarium is well built. And such an amazing observatory deck over the top. This is the perfect location to view the entire skyline as you can see from the photos

Roxy R

Great place to go and visit with your family. Amazing 3 story aquarium. Water tables for the toddlers. Lots of hands on activities for everyone. We spent about 5 hours here. Nice little cafe for lunch or burgers on the outside grille. They do serve adult beverages.Stop by bayside as well before you leave town.

Alexandra Hirschhofer

Its a great Museum. very kidsfriendly and Hand on for Kids. But every age group will enjoy the museum. It has interesting shows and the aquarium is great. Not crazy big but well mentained. The roof top has a fantastic view .

Carlos Mauricio Millán Henao

Great place for the kids and in my opinion the aquarium is one of the best I’ve ever been to and the animals look healthy and well kept. Not giving 5* because parking is ridiculously expensive, so much it can be more expensive than the tickets themselves. Also there’s only one food option which is not so good.

Bar Sharma

This museum is a great place to go to with family and kids if you’re a local . the member prices are very attractive and reasonable for families that seek to take their kids somewhere educational yet fun. I have toddlers and have found endless activities there for them to get their hands on experience . The only star I’m taking away is due to the price of parking and the inability to get free parking with membership. You get a discount but in my opinion it isn’t sufficient enough .

gruth guenial

It is for me the best museum you could visit in Miami. The installation and activities are very entertaining and educational. And now a tip: you have a discount with the easy pass.

Alyx Holder

Awesome way to spend the day! I went with my boyfriend and everything was super interesting- I even got to touch a sting ray! Make sure you visit everything, they're worth it.

Sean Jones

Great place for kiddos to learn if you take the time to teach them. A few of the interactive displays did not work. Aquarium was awesome!! Seems mostly geared for younger kids. Some of the attractions good for adults. Really enjoyed getting to pet a Sea Urchin, Starfish and a Sting Ray wing. Planetarium was GREAT!!

Tyson Jess

We had so much fun with my family. Plan 2-3 hours to see everything, Also, nice park to walk outside

Pia Kate Jakobsson

For all ages and short or long visits and little or lots of information - this is a great place!

Dusan Jaksic

I was mostly satisfied with the exibitions, there is a space for improvement, but overall it was a good experience for my family and me. I would just suggest that picture price should be lower, like $5, or $10 per each and the people would take it for sure, present price of $20 is too much, honestly.

Greg Smelt

My wife and I were a little disappointed. The interactive tables and experiments were either too simple or too complicated, which was a problem because so many loose but necessary items were missing. The planetarium show was great but they should have gone pitch black, the walkway lighting was too bright.

Shaunterria Owens

We came as a camp of 45 children grades 2-11 with 6 counselors, and we had a fairly good time. The exhibits themselves were interesting to the kids and occupied their time very well, especially since we started from the 6th floor and worked our way down so we could see everything. The planetarium show was also a big hit, especially since we'd spent the week talking about stars in camp. The downsides were 1) the food. Not all our kids wanted to bring their lunch and ordering took a while. The food also took a longish time, but it was fresh, hot, and very tasty. The cost of drinks was astronomical; even if you plan to buy lunch make sure you bring your own beverages. 2) The gift shop. One of the employees at the gift shop was very rude and they did not seem to have a process in place to deal with groups of children wanting to spend their money. Also, everything was very expensive. On a last high note, the porters were very helpful and the staff answered all of our questions with patience and grace. All in all, it was a good trip, but if I had to choose between Frost and another museum if probably give the second a try.

Ibrahim-Betül Ünal

Two adults had quite an adventurous and informative morning in the Frost Science Museum. The installations were adjusted for children but you’re never too old to learn something new about our world we live in. Aquarium and one of the three shows definitely paid off the rather high admission fee.

Chris F

$50.00 to visit this glorified playground. Screaming, crying kids everywhere. Lame exhibits. It shouldn’t cost $50 to visit a “museum”. Packed with selfish parents so you constantly have to dodge their misbehaving kids and their strollers. No where comfortable to sit down in the whole place. Went to movie (included with admission) and heard families and little kids all around the theater loudly talking, mostly in Spanish. I had to listen to a guy translating the minimal dialogue into Spanish for his 2-year-old who talked THE ENTIRE TIME. Apparently this place functions more as a day care than anything else. No fun for grown ups.

Nannett Murphey

Omg that place was phenomenal. My grandson came from New York and i took him there never thinking i could impress him but i did. There was so much to do and see there i will definitely return whe he visits again.....

Diana Lopez

When you go you MUST watch a 360 Show!! We saw one about the origin of stars and the galaxy back in April and it was A M A Z I N G!! Also, Whoopi Goldberg narrated it & it was so much fun!! The distinct areas are super kid friendly and people from all ages can enjoy them. There’s a floor where you can touch sting rays and see the crocodiles! The Creatures of Light exhibition was really coool!! The Café is a bit pricey, but it has a variety of snacks and foods for everyone. Some of the things the gift shop had were periodic table recycled bags, Pi earrings, and periodic table element earrings etc. We had so much fun and definitely recommend spending at least 3-4 hours or more to really enjoy everything it has to offer.

Carla Platter

Love this place. Great for kids of all ages and adults. Membership pays off quickly. Ticket price includes planetarium recorded shows. Not sure if they ever do old fashioned star shows.

Kim Fabian

It is huge- more walking than there are exhibits, the aquarium is the heart of it. But honestly all the exhibits just had tablets for the kids to swipe through with a lot of reading instead of audio and things for children to touch and experience. There is quite a lack for signs, so we originally walked into the art museum by accident. When we found it it was because there was a long line that curved. But if you walked around it found you could purchase tickets at a kiosk with no line. I am still not sure why there was a long line, for members?! We also often walked into a room and they had a special event or a show we could not enter, again no special signs (have to be a member or have paid more for more than one show at planetarium.) The show we did see at planetarium was blurry not as nice and got us all dizzy. The food is good but the line is ridiculous just to order. Better off having more tablets or an app to order than waiting for one cashier to place orders for that simple menu. My kids are young and did not enjoy much. They liked the aquarium (then I would rather take them to an entire one with shows, etc) and some random pull up chairs that you could pull your own weight because they felt strong and like a fun swing (these were located randomly on a floor next to the stairs -easy to miss). Not worth the price and don't forget to pay $30 to park.
