Very cool and interesting. Worth the price of admission. I'm always fascinated by the history of old buildings. They have a cute gift shop with great presents for your favorite teacher.

A very well preserved and presented piece of history of this lovely city. The tour guy was fantastic with clear explanation of the full history of this place. Very educational and interesting if you want to understand how it was when the first europeans arrived there and how they lived.

Lots of interesting stuff to see dating from the Spanish and British dominant periods starting around 1727. Large house covering a lot of ground. A parking lot is available if you are driving but the streets are narrow in this section and mostly one way so may want to park someplace else and walk in this old section of the city.

Great experience seeing the oldest house in historic St Augustine FL

The oldest house is rich in St Augustine history. For those visiting and looking for an historically comprehensive lesson on the many phases of the city you cannot beat The Oldest House Museum. I have been a couple of times now. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the tour is interesting and informative. I took my four children ages 13-3 and it wasn't so long that they lost interest. If you're local to the county it's free admission. Prices are reasonable for visitors. I highly recommend you work it into your next trip to the Ancient City.

TIFFANY

Awesome place! Cant believe it has been around that long! Our guide was very informative and friendly, great learning experience, well kept, my 11 year old son loved it! He hopes that history will remain for his children to enjoy!

I really loved how the house was organized so that each room reflected a different stage in its history. The tour guide was excellent and it really helped bring a piece of St Augustine history to life. I also enjoyed the map exhibit in the building in the rear of the complex. If you're in St Augustine, don't miss this attraction.

Whitney McGinniss

Excellent place to visit. Name is a bit of a misnomer as there is a lot more here than just an old house. Our tour guide was great, and we learned so much about the history of the home and the families who lived in it. It was also interesting to see how their lives were intertwined with the history of St Augustine. In addition to the house, there is a maps room, courtyard garden, and a mini-museum of St Augustine. Taken together, this stop packs a lot of education and entertainment into a small package. Would definitely recommend.

Interesting and the tour guides are great! Good if you're looking for something quick, informative, and out of the heat!

A must-see in St. Augustine if you love historic site museums. It is the most professionally run and interpreted of the city's house museums. I think I was lucky to have a staff person as a tour guide, not a volunteer. She was able to answer many questions. Not great for young kids, which is the case for nearly all house museums. But the tour was fairly short.
