location and vistas are excellent for photo opts. during the Holidays lots to see and chill along the waterfront.
The Henry Flagler museum is a fun location to visit while in West Palm Beach. They have the house well air conditioned and it is very nice to cooly enjoy history. The entrance is around $18 but sometimes they will have specials that let you come back for free or they have free days every now and then. They also host events at the hall and you can contact the business section for more information. Their gift shop has some nice Florida history pieces and books. The rooms and history has been well preserved and is a good 45 minute to 75 minute self toured location.
What a beautiful place. Everything is kept in pristine condition. A++.
We had a wonderful time here. My future daughter in law from England enjoyed the museum and grounds, including the train exhibit
Beautiful historical place. We hitched onto a tour guide for part of it and she really offered some interesting history and detail of Flagler’s life.
This was a place we quickly visited after moving to Fort Lauderdale! Being originally from the Northeast, we enjoy historical spots. I've been to a lot of the grand estates like the Hearst Castle and the Newport, RI mansions. This place is quite luxurious, but it's a slight step below opulent places like The Breakers. I'm biased though, I'll take New England over Florida any day. :) The exterior of the home was a bit more impressive than the interior if I'm being honest. Still this is worth checking out if you are in the neighborhood and looking for something touristy to do. We enjoyed the guided tour that we went on and it was interesting to learn the history of the Flagler family. I really liked touring the rail card behind the home.
It’s amazing to have such an important piece of Florida history so lovingly preserved like the Flagler museum. It’s so much fun to explore the building and learn about the history. The entryway is massive and really demonstrates the vast displays of wealth at the time.
I had a wonderful guided tour here from an elderly woman I can't remember her name. But the experience I had here was amazing as I noticed some of the pieces in the house were the same as my Grandmother decorated her home with. My family started vacationing during the winters in West Palm during the late 1960s everything our tour guide had mentioned about the property and the train brought up wonderful memories from my Grandparents who lived in Cleveland right around the time Henry Flagler was working there for Standard Oil, both my Grandfather and him were most likely business partners without knowledge of what was yet to come in Flaglers future. My Grandfather ended up becoming a very successful business man and financial investor, no doubt with the same business tactics as Flagler himself.
This man had great taste in creating a home
A bit pricey. I do not recommend the museum for young children. However, we've been there several times and I highly recommend the museum for adults who are interested in Henry Flagler and the history of southern Florida. The guides are VERY knowledgeable.
This is a must see if you are in the area. I had no idea that this man did so much for pioneering the American East Coast. Amazing museum! The gift shop staff are great also.
Had a wonderful time at Henry’s mansion.
Absolutely amazing, educational, informational, and well-preserved piece of American history. Learned so much about the family, Florida, and the US. Plan on spending at least 3-4 hours. We did the audible, self-guided tour and it was perfect for us. Worth every penny and then some. Might actually go back and soak up some more history
We had a wonderful visit, but except for one problem, lunch! We'd been told we could bring our own lunch. (Tea room sandwich cost $22). When we started to eat, guard told us we had to go outside front gates. There were no benches, tables. I ate standing up on the sidewalk outside. No place to even set down my bag. Never had this happen anywhere before. Very uncomfortable.
Always a pleasure. The cafe is a must have experiance.
What a beautiful place! The attention to detail and craftsmanship is incredible. Every room is amazingly decorated. Just walking in to the Grand Hall offers an amazing sight, the marble columns and the staircase, what a beautiful room. You should definitely take a moment to admire the architecture of the ceilings and walls, throughout. Well worth the time.
Worth a visit if you are in Palm Beach. Helpful staff.
Very educational...The Guides were top notch and I didn't realize how much of a Boss Mr. Flagler was!

Absolutely gorgeous and Les was knowledgeable and entertaining.
It's amazing what Henry Flagler did with this place and I'm glad that they have kept up maintaining this place beautifully.
A very cool place. Beautiful views and very interesting work of art and display of power and money.
Absolutely loved the self guided tour. Perfect way to spend a rainy afternoon and such history throughout the magnificent home.
When visiting palm beach dont miss this landmark and Florida history location
Spectacular! My Appraisal Firm Appraised & Facilitated Major Architectural Donation Of The Museum Property. Always FASCINATING!
Had my wedding here most magical evening ever!!!
A great visit, but the security is a bit strict (no bags, but they have a bag check).
Beautiful. Worth the time.
Very interesting. The docent tour was very informative. Would recommend the tour to friends.
INTERESTING.. HE WAS THE SECOND WEALTHIEST MAN IN THE US AT THAT TIME
Wonderful museum! 100% recommend
It was very interesting, we enjoyed our time there, learned a lot. Just a little pricey but still glad we visited.
Historical Henry Flagler Museum located in the heart of Palm Beach, Florida. It is a must see, if you are in Palm Beach or even nearby. Few homes are as magnificent, or have such a view.
Definitely a cool stop when in Palm Beach. The house is amazing and the train pavillion and train car are not to be missed. The gift shop is small with limited offerings. Truly a glimpse into how the people of the guilded age lived. Highly recommend to all.
Beautiful building and lots of history. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Palm Beach. Make sure to take the tour it's well worth it.
Spectacular introduction to the Gilded Age in Florida. Be sure to take the tour that is included in the admission price.
Great place to bring guests friends that are new to Palm Beach. What Insight that man had
My wife and daughter enjoyed a great afternoon together. It was an experience that we all enjoyed more than we thought we would. Just a great educational experience that made for a fun afternoon.
Outstanding. Take your time, there's a lot to see and learn. The staff (guides) are very knowledgeable and delightful.
For anyone interested in history, the Flagler Museum is a must see. The museum offers a view back to America's "Guilded Age" when someone of modest means, such as Henry Flagler, could wind up as one of the world's wealthiest people. The museum is tended to by a friendly, professional staff. The $18 admission fee is well worth it. Parking is free.
Great place to visit. Surprised ac was so fresh and cool. Great upkeep and wonderful free tours with paid admission of $18.
Great place to visit
Get the walking tour device with map. Beautiful home!
If you want to see the opulence of the gilded age, this is an excellent example. Flagler essentially developed the east coast of Florida. The entry hall itself is 4,000 Sq Ft and the rest is just over-the-top. I recommend the docent tour.
Really beautifully restored period house, similar to many National Trust properties in the UK. The house is really eclectic in its style, with each room following a different, typically European, trend. There's also a lovely path alongside the marina which we took from the museum car park. Well worth stopping off to see a bit of Florida history.
Docent was so enthusiastic and could easily answer all our questions. Mansion is incredible - truly a product of the gilded age.
Beautiful home and history.
It's ostentatious, all 75,000 sf. And to think that they spent all that money on a place that they and a dozen servants only visited 6-7 weeks a year.
Beautiful grounds. I have yet to visit the interior of the Flagler estate, but if the beautiful grounds are an indication, the inside should be awesome.
Recommend! This is a great museum visit for the price!
Amazing. We arrived on opening day of a wonderful jewelry exhibit. Dazzling
The history preserved was spectacular!!! Worth going! I loved it all!
This is an amazing house! It is great to see the past in a beautiful decoration and furniture. I loved this place!
This isna place u must see
I come up here from time to time to see one of their exhibits or hear a lecture. It is a very generous museum, focuses on topics related to Henry Flagler and the Gilded Age. Very well done, a good time, lunch or dinner in PB after.
Wow!! Beautiful details, worth the visit to Flagler Mansion.
An absolute beautiful venue for a wedding. 1st class 5 ☆☆☆☆☆ + If you can afford to have an event here you will not be disappointed in any way. True Professional attitude from servers to security personnel.
It is a very big house. And the ticket is a little expensive.
Great museum, great man and great family history! Everyone who is passionate about people who have contributed in developing Florida should visit and learn more about Mr. Flagler!
This place is amazing, its absolutely worth taking the guided tour
Nice place to visit and worth the fee. Lots to see.
Beautiful old estate very well maintained
Wonderful tour guide. Knowledgeable. Expensive at $18.
Wonderful museum depicting the gilded age. The furniture, lace, decorating are not seen too often. Great history of the railroad. Be sure to go in to the garden home to see the wheelchairs they used and enter the luxury railroad car. I loved the garden of palm trees and walk around outside to enjoy the view.
What a beautiful estate to honor the man who made Florida what it is today. Drive around Palm Beach and enjoy the neighborhood as well.
Nice place, awesome view of WPB Downtown. Nice place for weddings and other type of events.
This place is AMAZING if you in the area you have to stop in and check out all the great history White Hall has to offer.... for being a place his wife wanted by the beach not bad for a little cottage she got so much more its 18 per person easily spend 2 to 3 hours here
Great time beautiful plase so relax
The Henry Morrison Flagler Museum is one of my favorite places to visit. When you drive up to this magnificent mansion you are transported into another time. You can't help but feel thankful that this masterpiece was preserved for us to enjoy. The architecture and the grounds are divine. You see what true brilliance looks like when you step foot inside the Museum. The large columns and arches are remarkable. The ceilings and the details are rich with texture. It is an art lover and history lover's delight with the rich and illustrious history that that is found throughout every inch of this magnificent gilded age mansion. It is nice to have such rich history in our backyard in Palm Beach County. It is a treasure that everyone that visits South Florida should see. If you are planning a large event and want something truly upscale, you should out the Flagler Museum on your list to checkout.
Such an amazing part of south Florida history !! You could spend hours admiring the attention to detail that has been achieved when building this house !! Originally a house bought by Henry Flagler for his wife as her summer home is now is a beautiful museum !!
If you enjoy historical or architectural places I'd highly recommend spending an afternoon here. At a leisurely place, I spent three hours here and felt like I saw everything. I highly recommend the iPhone app- the self guided tour on the app was really really good.
A beautiful Gilded Age mansion that is a treasure trove and fascinating glimpse into a bygone time.
One of my favorite places to visit now; beautiful inside and out.
I was here during the summer of 2017. The museum is quite nice. The walk around the museum is equally impressive, especially at night.
Great place to see florida history
Very informative with the history of the rail road that Henry Flager Built. Five star.
Is a very nice and beautiful place, thank you for everything
A must see trip to the area. The home and museum is world class in so many aspects. The audio tour was comprehensive and insightful conveying the insight to objects and rooms as well as its culturally attributes. Hats off to the curator who put this outstanding tour together. We must preferred this way of self pace and in depth approach to the visit. The house is perfectly maintained and the grounds are manicured too. The Gilded Age is brought back to life in the 21 St Century.
Very interesting tour of 1st floor and lots to see on 2nd floor
Last Mother's day at the Museum: Henry Morrison Flagler Museum one of the most beautiful homes and greatest houses museum in United States. Spectacular. I just loved going back again.
Unforgettable visit!!! This museum is a must-see for anyone visiting West Palm Beach. Admission as of July 2019 is $18 per person and it is worth every penny. The mansion is in impeccable shape and it is gorgeous. Self-guided audio tours are provided in a variety of languages, which made my parents’ tour a great experience. The museum also offers a docent-led tour a few times a day, as well as self-guided reading tour. We left the place in total amazement with the artwork, history and ingenuity.
Beautiful. Definitely a step back in time. Saw many interesting displays
Very poor experience. Had family/friends visit from New Jersey. One person in the party is 58 years old and suffers from Down Syndrome. Specifically advised and asked the cashier as well as Alison the on duty manager. Even though the person does not speak or understand anything, the museum still charged an admission fee for him of 18.00. All I can say is WOW!
Awesome tour, awesome place. Very in depth explanations and a well structured tour. Beautiful place
I visited several years ago and returned recently so my husband could see it. It is impressive because it is so beautiful, and it displays so much history. There are guided tours, but I like to go at my own pace and listen to the audio guide. There are the rooms on the first floor, the bedrooms on the second floor, and the restored railroad car. When you step outside, you see what a beautiful location it is. There is a nice gift shop at the end of the tour.
Beautiful mansion, coconut grove, and carriage house with private train car on the Atlantic coast of Florida.
Such an awesome place, price for admission is a bit high though ($18). With only 2 hours to walk around, my wife and I tried to see everything we could. The library was my favorite room, but the entire house is mind blowing. Great to learn about Florida history, see old architecture and how the .0001% used to live during the turn of the century.
A very nice place to learn about enthusiastic men and their habits. Go there and be inspired by a man who made it up to a multi billionaire. By the way the house he build is the finest.
Anyone who lives in Florida should spend a day here..awesome history lesson
It was good. Kids enjoyed it, especially the railcar. Very family friendly.
good place to visit and go back in time: ont he tour ask about the secret hallways in the house....
Beautiful museum sitting right on the water. Access to most all rooms, great history, great architecture, beautiful Christmas decorations! We used the self guided tour with handset narration which was great. Plan to spend 1/5 to 2 hours on grounds and don't miss the train!!!
It really worth the drive! Wow! Amazing museum, full with artifact, and try their tea and the restaurant! Really great!! Will go back for sure!
Very interesting look back into the guilded age
This is the wonderful former home of Henry Flagler, the cofounder of standard oil. It has been lovingly restored and fully deserves its place in the national register of historic places. All of the rooms are rather ostentatious as one would expect, with one bedroom bigger than the next. I especially loved the ceilings in the different ground floor rooms from the dining room to the ballroom. We were also very fortunate to visit when there was a great period jewelry exhibit on the 2nd floor.
We've been here with several sets of friends over the last several years. My wife and I never tire of this place. We learned of a smart phone app the day before our last visit and downloaded it before we went. We also suggested our friends do the same. Insure that all have headphones because speaker listening isn't permitted. The narration is superb and beats traveling with a large tour group. Practice a little before you try it the first time and review what you saw when you return home! I found it fun to research Mr. Flaglers favorite music selections on YouTube. Indeed the guided age was something else.
Incredible museum in Palm Beach. I was aware of Flagler College in St. Augustine but the size and opulence just blew me away. The self-guided tour using the phone and map was easy to follow and very informative. I may come back to do the combined Flagler Museum and Breakers tour. It was that good.
Great place to visit. Florida historical place. Worthwhile.
We have visited so many huge mansions in the UK so it was a pleasant surprise to find one similar in the USA. This house is a "must see". It is beautifully preserved and presented. The history behind both the house and Mr Flagler too is fascinating. We visited on a sunny day and the white house shone in the sunlight. We especially enjoyed seeing Mr Flagler's personal railway carriage.
Absolutely, positively, you must put this on your to do list. So many times we know far away cities better then our own and its time to be an adventurer in your own town. I've seen many beautiful homes in my time on earth but nothing has equaled the surprising magnificence of Whitehall. It saddens me and yet at the same time it fills my heart to know this structure was slated for demolition and was saved so that you and I can enjoy it today. I was overwhelmed by the beauty and the amount of detail that went into the restoration. As soon as you enter the Flagler home you understand you are in for an exceptional experience. I enjoy photography and as long as you don't use a flash you are allowed to take as many photos as you want. While they have knowledgeable docent's for tours, I've never been good in crowds and they have a "wand" that I wish all museums would incorporate. As you enter an area you push buttons located prominently and you listen as you would a telephone describe what you are looking at. FANTASTIC! The website gave me excellent directions on how to drive there. It is located on the island of Palm Beach. It took me 2-1/2 hours to walk everywhere and in retrospect I should have taken a break in the cafe which overlooks Lake Worth. There are a limited number of areas to sit and rest. There is an elevator to the 2nd floor. Kudos to the staff since they keep this museum impeccable.
Used their parking lot to visit my favorite tree next door. It is one of tbe few Kapoc trees around. It is a great tree.
Oh it was great experience. I love it very much. The atmosphere brings you to 19th centure. I love history and how people lived their lives. I recommend
We had an amazing visit to the Flagler Museum to learn more about the Gilded Age and Henry Flagler. I downloaded the app in order to experience a more in-depth audio tour of the expansive estate. They provide audio tours as well as docent led tours. There is an exquisite gift shop as well as a brunch served in their cafe which is waterfront. I am very grateful that Flagler had the foresight to commission a home that he hoped to serve as a museum for the enlightenment of all who visited.
Amazing history and opulence of the time period. Well worth visiting.
Very interesting! This is an all day trip.
Awesome experience. Definitly worth.
Great place to visit
Have toured this incredible home and museum several times, and never tire of it. I see and learn something new each time I'm there. They host wonderful traveling exhibits as well. The one I saw recently was on Arts and Crafts era jewelry entitled, "Maker and Muse". Worth checking out!
This home is a beautiful example of the wealth and privilege of the gilded age. Our docent did a great job of telling the history of the property and the life of the Flaglers. It was a very enjoyable afternoon and an experience well worth having.
What an amazing jem of history! It was like walking on to the set of Great Gatsby. Beautiful things to look at and it teaches you a lot about the early history of Florida.
The museum is really interesting and nice but it's kinda expensive but it's good to take your kids and family there, or if someone is visiting wpb they really need to see that place (it will give you the good mood for the whole day) or at least it gave me a good mood and happy feeling.
Learn about the man who made South Florida what it is today! An excellent look back to the Gilded Age.
This was a mind stretching experience. For a house built in the gilded age, the opulence and level of technology is amazing. Our tour guide was a gentle man that gave the most detailed yet entertaining insight into the construction, events and lifestyle of the Flaglers. It's good to know your purpose in life.
I always encourage my out-of-state guests to visit. The Flager mansion, and the Flagler family story, are integral to the development of Palm Beach and all of Florida.
Lots of information, historic, friendly staff and very pretty property.
Excellent place to learn about Florida history
Beautiful museum with lots of priceless art and history. The guided tour is a must for 1st time visitors.
My hubby and I decided to go on a random adventure to the Flagler muesum with our 5 month old son and we loved it! It's so beautiful...they have done a great job with keeping the authenticity of the time period. I would definitely go back again. The only thing is you can't bring a stroller on the property or large bags.(understandably)
It's free and the people that work there are really nice. Great place to visit if you're on a budget or not.
Very nicely done, the train is amazing
It's. A place to spend the whole day getting to know the story of Florida.
Great take in for the whole family!
We thought enjoyed the 3 hours we did touring the mansion. Loved learning the history about the family.
A must see place. Here you can breath with the history, in this quite place. Amazing place to see what word "rich" means. This place is on my personal top 20 list :)
Love the history, beauty and tranquility of Whitehall on a beautiful day. Train car is really cool, too.
Must see if you’re in the area and have about 2 hours to spend doing the portable audio tour
Beautiful grounds. Peaceful. Nice exhibit. Free parking
Absolutely fantastic. A journey back to time.
Historical and beautiful. The estate is beautifully decorated for the holidays.
Loved this mansion turned museum and the history Henry Flagger story behind it
Magnificent home. Great tour with lots of information given by the docent. You are able to tour on your own. There was also a temporary exhibit of period jewelry.
It's something nice to do in Palm Beach County. It doesn't take that long to walk through if you don't want it to, and it is inside, so when it's raining, you don't have to worry about the weather. It's also air conditioned for when it's hot outside. It's a very interesting look at flagler's tastes and lifestyle. A little pricey admission fee, but the money goes back into the museum and a free tour comes with the price of admission at certain times during the day.
Beautiful quiet and friendly people
Pricey admission. Crowed tour
I LOVED THE MUSEUM IT'S A MUST SEE IT WAS BEAUTIFUL AND AMAZING DON'T FORGET TO STOP BY THE GIFT STORE SO MANY TREASURES
Great museum! If you download their app you can listen and walk around at your own pace. The house itself is beautiful and the history is very interesting. Definitely worth checking out at least once.
We visited the museum while on vacation to West Palm at Christmastime. We spent much longer at the museum than anticipated because it was such a great visit. We took a guided tour with a docent which made the experience even better. They were also offering seasonal Gilded Age high tea in the pavilion. The food and drinks were worth the money. The only suggestion is to allow patrons to pay after the meal to include a tip if paying by card. Tipping could only be done with cash (which we rarely carry on us). The mansion and railcar are beautifully restored. Definitely worth the time and money.
The museum is a 1910 mansion, no expense was spared by Henry Flagler, on the furnishings. A recorded tour, on a phone type device, is included. The recording gives a great deal of information about the archetecture and expensive furnishings. I took about three hours. There is one private passenger traincar, which was built for Flagler, you can walkthrough the train car and get an idea of how Flagler traveled. I found the museum tobe very educational.
Great place to spend a few hours
Very beautiful estate with spectacular ancient trees too.
Wonderful tour. Lots of history. Beautiful house. Made my day.
This house from the Gilded period was saved from being demolished and has been wonderfully restored before being turned into a museum.
My husband and I had been to the Flagler Museum for a wedding reception years ago. However, most of the building had been roped off and we only got to see the entrance and ballroom. I went on the tour with three other former teachers. The guide was fantastic! So informative. Great tour. We reserved an 11:30 am tour. This was very good, as it was not crowded at that time. It became very crowded after 1:30pm. (Saturday) My group had made reservations for the tea after the tour. Very lovely atrium, overlooking the intercoastal. Not like the high tea I've experienced at the Plaza in NYC years ago, however, sandwiches were freshly made, quite tasty. We were surprised that there was a salmon sandwich. The desserts were excellent. The scone was not dry at all. Tea was never ending. We were not rushed, making our gathering more enjoyable. Sad to say, the tea is not year round. Worth the tour. Amazing building.
Interesting not sure it suits small kids
The tour was very entertaining, the rest of the museum was not quite as entertaining.
Fascinating & educational. Will take my out of town visitors from now on.
My friend Loretta and I visited this wonderful, if you will, place in early April if this year. To keep this short we can not say anything negative. It was just wonderful. A real must.
Beautiful place, step back in time, lovely, enthusiastic docents
Beautiful, I highly recommend the guided tour, it was very educational and interesting. It was fun to see the mansion and learn about the Flagger family.
A great place to see how the super rich lived back in those days
We were so amazed by this house! Absolutely beautiful! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The self-guided tour was very informative and everything was nicely displayed. The decor was amazing. What a luxurious way to live in this beautiful area at that time. This was well worth our time and the cost of admission!
Must see this gorgeous house and learn the history of Henry Flagler’s success and philanthropy. He developed Florida to become an economic leader and tourist destination. Lovely setting and unbelievably well restored. Wonderful tour by Ron Vaughn. Make sure you see the private rail car - it’s older than the house and is located in the pavilion.
A nice small museum featuring a little of American history. No flash photos allowed inside. Many furniture pieces artwork painted rooms with French influences..very good day
Florida history at a comfortable pace. Very informative to Henry Flagler.
Beautiful place very well preserved
Shocked no senior discount for tickets. Beautiful house
Spectacular a must see, such elegance, massive, the grounds are sprolling. We simply sat on the porch enjoying the view of Palm Springs, Mr. Flagler knew how to enjoy his wealth, drop by spend the day, the staff are friendly, and informative. Price is reasonable.
This is a great museum, a wonderful tour and a good value at $18.00 per person. Well worth the trip.
