This Museum is classified in the category of Park.
An authentic Miami experience. Definitely take the tour to the Tequesta Burial Mound. Definitely visit the artists studios. Definitely rent a kayak on the weekend. And definitely take a picnic to relax on Biscayne Bay.
This place is amazing!! My wife and i loved it as soon as we saw it. We decided to get married here. The venue is gorgeous, so many great area to explore, the courtyard and photos and everything was phenomenal. 12/10 would go there again and marry this amazing woman in bed next to me sneezing her nose off.
Calming, pretty place to walk around and visit. I attended a party in celebration of an artist and is a great place for a wedding, reception, etc. It was a bit warm. Wear clothes to stay cool in the summer and spring months.
It's a beautiful Estate... great bay views, fantastic trails. If you are there during a scheduled tour, definitely go with the guide. The guide was knowledgeable and very nice, we learned tons about the property. FYI- The houses are still work in progress.
No shade for fishing. Otherwise, a nice place.
So many activities to captivate the mind, body and spirit! The Valentine's concert is a not to miss event. We were gifted tickets and had such a wonderful night! Bring some chairs and a blanket and enjoy music under the stars. Don't miss the crepes.
Beautiful sunrises
The park had a fantastic view. Great place. A nice little place to relax in the evening. We had an aw-sum time here.
Beautiful grounds.
Great relaxing location with Rich history and knowledgeable people with great guides and the nicest of people for a great experience.
The place and area is beautiful. I had enjoyed exploring the homes and walking down to the ocean....
The Seafood Festival was awesome as it always is I love the atmosphere of family ! The band was great ! Palmetto Bay is a beautiful area for family and seniors. Hopefully I will be back soon!
Beautiful place. We had a great time on Valentines concert and picnic!
I was there to tour the Charles Deering house, but arrived after the last scheduled tour. I was able to buy a ticket and walk through the two houses without any handout information concerning the historic houses. Had I not happened upon a woman who worked at the site, I would have left without knowing anything about the property.
It's a beautiful place with excellent architecture. It's great to find places like this in Miami.
Aimed Cabo Nikolov at deleting estate
Love this place. We took a boat tour to see Stillsville. Amazing!
Wonderful place, quiet, comforting, nature environmental
Beautiful place
Beautiful place during the day and night. Long interesting history, nice interactive ghost/spirits at night.
Such a beautiful place to visit! Think about donating to their education fund! It goes right back to the students and schools that are in the area!!
Spent a full afternoon on the estate. Attended a free tour of the preserve that lasted 1.5hrs and was very informative. My self guided walk through the houses was also nice. View of the bay was spectacular with resident manatees visible.
We have gone several times. Beautiful for pictures outside. They have a huge chair to sit in for memories of your trip.
My wife and I at home
Nice area
Nice tour
We recently photographed a wedding at Deering Estate-and it was such a beautiful wedding venue! Throughout our visit the staff was incredibly kind and helpful to my team throughout the day. The evening ceremony on the water was incredible!!
Nice historical place. Popular wedding venue. Great view of the bay. Very nice to visit during Christmas. There is an entrance fee.
This place is absolutely beautiful the location is to die for !! Like always time goes by to fast when your having a good time
Awesome nature tour at the Deering Estate. The property is meticulously cared for and the setting is one you have to see! Great place to see some manatees as well!
Beautiful views
One of my favorite venues in Miami.
The buildings and grounds have a negative vibe, hard to explain. Everything is maintained well and the waterfront area is majestic. It captures a time gone bye with eclectic styles. The trail going thru the woods was wrecked from the hurricane still when I went hopefully it's repaired now.
Great place for a picnic. Old bayfront estate. Where Richmond Drive (sw 168 st. ) meets Biscayne Bay.
Amazing estate and tour!
Wanted to visit historical places for so long in South Florida (SF). Today as a surprise we visited this historical place. Which pretty much revealed the foundation of SF. Outdoors was in really good condition but, I wish with the help of technology we could see the past and learn from it. Since most of this site was devastated by a hurricane and has been maintained with a strict budget that restrains it from showing the world history of how we got here.
Did not see anything worth the 12$ ticket. The hot temperature will make it even worse. The Pinecrest gardens or Vizcaya Museum are much better than this place. Besides, the staff was not patient with your questions.
Tiny spot into the bay. Peaceful and relaxing and an amazing view.
A great lesson in history about people who settled in the 1800s in Cutler part of Miami. Beautiful home beautiful scenic view's just awesome to visit.
Good place to spend some time in nature..the water view is great and relaxing. They have all sorts of events for kids so check their website for that. We saw a manatee here and walking around the place is very peaceful...
Attended the Deering Seafood Festival today and I must say it was very nice. Lots of delicious food and drinks from various vendors. The weather was sunny with a little breeze blowing. They had a couple of bands playing on the stage. Overall, I had an amazing time here.
Very lovely and serene.
We had an amazing time at the Deering Estates. We went with my son's 4th grade class. We got to make terrariums and also enjoy a cool animal show. The Deering Estate is a residential property that the city bought from the land owners it's a beautiful location for private events or you can even catch an annual events here.
More than the houses themselves, the estate grounds were breathtaking. The edge of the estate near the old deering estate entrance has a long walkway where all you see is water meeting the sky. The visit was enjoyable, however the visit to the house was informative but I preferred the outdoors more.
It’s so far one of the most beautiful places I have seen in Miami!!!
Love the nature and old antique house!
Deering is a lovely property right on the bay. You can picnic by the water or explore their numerous walking trails. The winter home of Charles Deering is nicely preserved. Take advantage of a suite of educational programs, or just relax!
Beautiful house and grounds. Interesting local history. Plus we got to see a family of manatees up close!
Half day visit - great ocean views, lots of mango trees (for when they’re in season about July-Aug) - Great for photos. Fairchild tropical garden is nearby - you can do two in one day.
I had a great time here with my friends, it's a beautiful estate, well managed and a great place to hang out and learn a bit of local history. The only complaint I have is that the mosquitos were aweful around the west side of the house, but by the water it was perfect!
I don't think it's worth the tickets price. You can't even take pictures there. This place should be open to the public for free, and if someone wants to enter to one of the houses then they should charge for that.
This place is so cool. I love it. It takes you back to what Miami looked like before people settled here
Awesome place to visit...
Amazing property. Fabulous natural community, awesome local history, and great staff.
Great museum
Come and time travel back in time. Beautiful property on the ocean and historical house. Spend a leasurely afternoon in this southern gem.
I was so excited to finally see The Deering Estate, I had heard so many good things! I got even more excited when I found out I was able to save $2 off an adult admission ticket using my Miami-Dade County EASY card. Always looking for a good deal and the place was absolutely beautiful!
Beautiful place!!
This is one of the most highly rated parks to visit in Miami-Dade County. It is highly recommended you take a historic tour and a walk around if you are coming to visit the South Florida area. There is a lot to learn about the history of the property, the architecture, and the family that made it all possible. It is a common location for festivals, concerts, weddings, family picnics, and a variety of other activities such as nature walks, manatee viewing, and kayaking. The 444 acres of the property is astonishing to walk around on a bright warm sunny day. Great way to spend an afternoon with friends, family, or your someone special. It is a suggested hideaway for first time Miami visitors. I go back from time to time to show others around or take in the beautiful scenery and fresh air. Amazing property. There is nothing like it.
Came here with my dad for the Deering Estate seafood festival. Was astonished at how large this property was. There are several buildings on the property, looking like they had been built in different era's in Florida. The view is amazing and the property is immaculate. As I stood on the large patio looking out at the ocean (and large group of people for the festival) I thought to myself "how amazing would this have been standing where I was in the early days of Florida, when this property was built.
One of my favorite places in Miami. Beautiful views. Community events. History. Weddings. STEM fieldtrips for schools. Nature walks. Amazing scenery and wildlife. Keeping history alive and preserving natural habitats in Miami. So peaceful.
This place is amazing
Nice plase very interesting
Beautiful place nice nature walk.
If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle the is Miami , and want to be transported to old time Florida, this is the place. Very well kept. Friendly and knowledgable staff and that sea breeze. Great way to spend an afternoon with the family or better yet with your significant other.
Beautiful grounds very peaceful
We got in for free because today they had some type of deal, so that was great! It was a very beautiful place to spend an afternoon. My husband and I enjoyed sitting by the water and walking around the buildings. This was great because today was free, but for the normal $15 a person, I probably would have hoped for more. Would definitely come for a tor if you’re going to visit.
Risen mass here is a must every year
Lovely landscaping . House exterior are gorgeous. Wild manatees and water views amazing. Very relaxing.
One of the best historical places in Miami. Very beautiful there & a lot of history.
Good place
Went to sunrise mass for Easter. Beautiful, but had to leave when they put on Charlie Daniels, not my kind of music.
Beautiful! Went for the seafood festival and I had an amazing time. Will definitely return for another occasion!
I love this place it's so beautiful
Amazing place! I went to this beautiful place where Elias help us last Tuesday. We will definitely recommend to our friends to visit this relaxing park! Thank you Elias for your professionalism!
Fun place to explore. Take the nature walk with a guide.
Amazing experience, especially with that weird hairy reptile guy
It's a lovely place, very peaceful, tranquil, and relaxing. You can bring your family and and have a picnic, there are picnic tables and they also have a free tours of the facilities which is included with cost of admission. I am not giving it 5 stars because it could have more exhibitions, some rooms are extremely empty and lack details, Vizcaya (originally owned by Deering) has way more exhibits and very detailed orientated with all areas preserved as close to the original as possible.
Beautiful and now free!
It is a visit worth for two or three hours. The employees are all very kind. The guiding tour was very good, the guy who is guiding the tour is very nice, he knows much about this place and could answer all the questions we had. I was there with my family und would totally visit again ! The price is really worth it.
Great place to spend couple hours
This is nice place to stop by and walk around on a cool day not a hot day but then Florida will be a cool day lol
The seafood festival, was amazing! Very well organized&gorgeous atmosphere. Workers was constantly coming around keeping everything clean. I will definitely make this a yearly outing.
This is a beautiful location and it has a wonderful view. They have amazing events at the estate and it is very well run and established. We had a great time at the Seafood festival and the food, music and event was excellent!
Love to picnic on the grounds of this beautiful historic property right on the water. Tours of the homes are interesting. Always look forward to their Seafood Festival and concerts!
Took the tour and was very impressed. The tour guide was very knowledgeable, detailed and had us tasting plants and wild berries. The photos are one of a native burial site and moonlight flower. The cottage and dwelling on the property were also interesting. Totally enjoyed my afternoon.
Great relaxing place!
An absolute must see. Probably the most important nature preserve within the metro area. Well maintained and diverse natural area, hydration project, interesting historic buildings, manatees and crocodiles.
Amazing place, I love it...
Awesome camp if your child love nature
When I was young I knew there was public access to Biscayne Bay just to the South end of the Deering Estate. While looking around the lands water edge via Google's satellite page I saw that there is indeed a Peoples Pier here. A good spot of fresh sea air away from a crowd. Just one shadrd picnic table. Nice but wouldn't tempt going during mosquito season. Enjoy!
Absolutely Fabulous! Relaxing gardens over looking our beautiful sparkling Biscayne Bay with friendly and knowledge staff! Year round activities and special events makes the affordable membership here one of the best values worth every penny!
Amzaing beatiful dirty and fun
Great place to spend a afternoon. Great for relaxing
A Beautiful place with historical architecture. Beautiful museum and very nice staff. Great educational experience! Beautiful gardens and relaxing view, a place full of peace.
Loving it here at the seafood festival
So much history in this place! Wonderful venue to get married or have an event. Love the staff here!
Attended Sustainability presentation. Wonderful experts answered questions at end of presentation. I encourage people to join Citizens Climate Lobby.
A South Florida Landmark. A must visit for history lovers
It's a beautiful place. The grounds are very well kept with lush green grass, native plants and trees. The house is a museum and it can be rented for private events. I imagine a wedding here would have amazing pictures with the view to the bay. There is plenty of open space for nature loving people. There is a walkway that takes you deep into the mangrove, plus several small trails within the Estate grounds which give plenty of opportunities for bird watching. Kayak rentals are available and bikes can be rented as well, but they can't be ridden inside the Estate, only outside its surrounding area. When we arrived in the morning on a Saturday they had a Yoga class underway by the dock. The sea breeze lends this place a magical air and you feel transported to another era and very much in touch with nature.
Excellent for walks, talking trails, events and all other activities. I am particularly fond of jazz and ghost tour events
Outstanding place so Beautiful. So natural.trails, park, Historical landmark Come enjoy this wounderful park with everyone in your family. GOD Bless you
Beautiful scenery. Great history behind it.
Wonderful place to visit! I have been twice so far this year!
Amazing grounds with beautiful trees and a great view of the ocean. The historic house museum is beautiful.
Pleasant employees. Very helpful
Beatiful and peaceful. Love it!
Amazing family outing
Nice place for a quiet walk
the butterfly tour was great, glad this place is safe for local wildlife
Great well kept Estate the views are endless the nature walks are incredible
Beautiful place. We went for the holiday lights, festival of trees. They advertised free Christmas cookies and hot chocolate? When we arrived, they were out of cookies and the hot chocolate machine was broken! C'mon people, you have to plan for these things. You know. It's all about d money, money. A bit disappointed. But the carolers were great. The lights were nice.
Beautiful setting.
loved exploring the grounds, and everone that worked there were pretty friendly. great place to take a picnic with the kids and enjoy the scenery.
Visited on a quiet Sunday. Just a few others, so felt like we had the estate to ourselves! Was beautiful, sunny, breezy day looking out at the water, watching fish jump, birds glide. We'll be back to kayak soon!
Deering Estate... If you're looking to have a wonderful time and looking to see a beautiful scenery then this place is a spot. I enjoyed the walk path down to the water to see the ocean and I also enjoy the trees as I walk across the China Bridge. I've been going here for a while even just for exercising and let me tell you I live five miles away so that can tell you a lot. I would rather drive 5 miles for a beautiful scenery for exercising then walk half a mile to a local park that doesn't have a great scenery.
The Stiltsville Tour was superb. Saw lots of dolphin. Captain and crew were knowledgable and fun.
Wonderful food, music and weather. Very organized event! First time attending, will definitely go again next year.
We enjoy ourselves here Every single time we visit. It is soo peaceful to walk the grounds and take in all the beauty. What a location! Take the family and tour the estate. There is soo much history here! A true Miami treasure! If you are looking for an amazing adventure check out deering estates.
Historic house, guided tour to the house and trail.
worst. nothing to see but lame corny 1700 cottage pu pu
This is for Deering Point. Fresh air, clean area, clear water. Lots of sheltered areas with picnic tables, lots of trash cans to keep area clean, free parking. Entrance was easy to find.
Relaxing place to visit. Wonderful mansion by the sea
Beautiful place to walk with family and friends. It had so much historical value and beautiful structures. There are different activities to participate for kids and adults. You can go to the wine cellar, run around the park, take a tour around the historical houses, take a workshop, fish, go canoeing, and many more. The day I went was on New Year's Eve and the place had Christmas decorations everywhere. They were also holding a free art gallery for others to see. It was a great way to start a fresh new year with the beautiful landscape surrounding me and my loved ones.
Very interesting and $1 entry in July pulled us in. We will definitely go back again.
Really nice Park to have a picnic or just for a walk. The ocean view is amazing.
Great views from the house of the bay. Great volunteers. Awesome to learn about mr deering and all that he has and done
Wonderful part of Miami history
Amazing Day in the Florida Sun
First Class
Love the seafood festival
Beautiful historic estate. Wonderful tour and grounds.
Love my country estate !!!
Beautiful space to hang out for a few hours. If you’re not into the history, I might skip this one, but it really is so beautiful that it would make up for it. I’d suggest going on one of the tours, if you have time.
Very relaxing, low key experience overall. Not a whole lot to see and do with closed off areas from hurricane damage. Kind of a haul from Miami beach, if you are there for vacation. Probably wouldn't recommend or would put low on the list.
If youre into historic and nice scenary i would recommend coming here.
Been an awesome time at the Deering Estate family fun day. Lots of arts and crafts for kids and a water conservation seminar for families.
Great place to visit!!
PERFECT FOR PHOTOGRAPHY! So glad we discovered this place. Surprisingly, not too many people know about this gem. I went to take some photos and they just came out amazing. The tropical feel of this park is spectacular. The house has a beautiful terrace with old fashioned seats and furniture. Theres a nice fireplace room with checkered floor. The ocean view is right outside and theres a huge grass field as well. Many cute places to take photos at so if you want a good photo session with pops of colors and nature, and history, this is the place to go! Tours of the area are also available. They charge a general entrance fee per person but it is worth it!
Beautiful property.
Knowledgeable Docent. Very interesting historic gem right in our backyard (so to speak). Property is undergoing some needed repairs, but that does not impede the beauty of the property.
Gorgeous grounds on the water with a historic home and nature preserve
Beautiful location was there for the seafood festival
Amazing tourist experience with beautiful bay views. A lot of history, traditions to learn about Florida in this place. Highly recommend it.
I live here and it's coming a run down area. I am truly sorry to say.
Beautiful event setting. Have been to some wonderful weddings there. A wonderful historic estate in a beautiful setting.
Great place to relax and take in the views
Great Views
Well maintain Park with breathtaking views of the bay.
Beautiful place to visit. Especially in the winter time.
Great historic estate. And the summer camp for kids is great too.
Beautiful place. A lot of events
Too much history and beauty surrender....
Beautiful park, perfect for a family picnic. Should open earlier in the morning.
Great to visit and for their planned activities such as kayaking and nature walks. Sign up for the night nature walk, its very relaxing!
Lunch date at the park picnic tables. Sorry we didn't bring enough for the cats. They we're a bit of a nuisance.
Great sunrise experience
