Great collection of Stanley Steamers. Take a ride in one or the live steam mini-train or enjoy the Lionel standard gauge display.

Tons of fun for young and young at heart! Museum has motorized carriages and Stanley Steamers along with other memories from yesteryear. Kids and adults can ride the train on the grounds for a nostalgic trip. The mansion offers limited tours at certain times.

Debra Martin

Idyllic setting, steam car museum, and a fabulous turn of the century family home mansion! Staff and volunteers are top notch, knowledgeable and clearly love the site. If you visit on first Sundays in season, you can ride the sweetest 1/8th gauge railroad ever! Walking trails and history are abundant!

Lovely Gilded Age mansion until recently occupied by the descendants of the original builders. Donated to the state it now houses a large collection of steam powered cars. Not open all the time.

I only went to the park, not the museum. It's nice to have a natural park a few minutes from my house. The state is still in the process of building and improving the site. I'll happily return again.

Wayne Ferguson

This is a fantastic place to spend an afternoon. It is a beautiful spot and a great place for young families. Kids love to ride the steam train, play in the train-themed playground and watch the electric trains in the museum. There are often other activities for kids. You and old enjoy riding in steam, electric and gas powered cars from 100 years ago. Where else can you do that? The Mansion is very authentic to the Victorian period and worth a visit. The car museum is a great place to learn how steam cars worked and why they were popular.
