It's free and hella sick. Stop by for a short 30 museum trip. Train switches are tubular

Interesting tiny gem of a museum right over the RR tracks. Enlivens a little-known bit of our rail history... Knowledgeable docents, friendly atmosphere - and the trains do whiz by! Good location in SoNo and worth a visit for kids and parents, both.

Such a cute little place with a short personal tour . Great for kids and adults. It's amazing to see how they used to navigate the trains not too long ago... They even have the telegram machine that they used to coordinate between trains.

Noah Connally

Small museum, but free and very interesting. The docents are extremely knowledgeable, and if you like trains even a little bit, the material is fascinating.

Beth Siegelbaum

Very interesting piece of railroad and Norwalk history. Worth the visit.

Stephen Roe

Great guides and awesome history. The structure is very cool. This is a must see for kids or anyone who likes trains.

Recently visited the Switch Tower Museum, which was not planned on my trip to Connecticut; but it was definitely worth it. Entrance into the museum is free, it's a very small walk up, however; the tour guides are so informative, they even let you "throw levers". I would definitely recommend making a stop here, especially if you have kids that are interested in train. Short walk from the Maritime Aquarium

Excellent museum very friendly and knowledgeable volunteers. Pretty historic railroad museum, also a decent place to see Amtrak and Metro North's Danbury and New Haven trains.

E. Miller

Worth a stop and interesting for both railfans and non-railfans.

Joseph La Barbera

Informative tour guide, interesting history

Dalton Miner

Great little museum with knowledgeable curators. They give a detailed tour of the building and operations, which includes a demo of the switches and breaker board. You even get to throw some of the levers yourself! The building is in good shape and it's clear a ton of love went into getting all the mechanical/electrical systems working again. Highly recommended for anyone interested in trains or the history of the area.
