The Leffingwell House Museum is a true gateway into historic Norwich, CT. The house dates to 1675, one of only a handful of seventeenth century structures still standing in Norwich. You'll find countless rooms of exhibits, original objects, and revolutionary war era stories surrounding the many generations of families that lived here. If you've ever driven by and always thought of visiting, don't wait any longer!

Wonderful tour for an historical landmark. They have monthly exhibits & have new events all the time. Worth our time, we're going back as the museum as too many options to see in one visit. We're going back soon!

An important part of American history comes alive at the Leffingwell House. All the rooms are filled with interesting artifacts and tidbits of historical facts. I especially liked the candle making exhibit. If you're a Norwich history buff, this is a must see experience. The museum is small but well worth the time.

So much to see here for history buffs. I've been here twice and both times I found that everyone that works there does a wonderful job of explaining things on how the house was built from 3 different houses, how it was moved from atop The nearby hill to support the highway construction, etc. there are three floors that you can explore as well as the grounds plus the basement has an impressive collection of items that act like a small Museum on its own. Definitely worth a visit!

Rodney Reiter

I love that old house. $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for children, and you get a guided tour of all three floors which includes colonial and revolution history. Open on Saturdays 10:00 am to 3:00 pm through the end of October.

Excellent interpretation of the area's history I learned so much!

Great tours but could be so much more, not kid friendly in any way, shape, or form. Run by an older generation set in there way and unable to adapt to anything outside of their comfort zone which is sad and will one day be the death of this place. However a couple of times each year they have paranormal investigations with Arrowhead paranormal group that are incredible and should not be missed. Such a rich historical location that is literally being choked into irrelevance by the very people that are charged with protecting it.
