REVIEWS OF History Colorado Center IN Colorado

This place is really freaking cool! It's not that much to get on (kids are free right now

Gregory Hall

Great place for local history.

joseph garcia

Fun place to go to had a great experience with my daughter and her class for a field trip would go back again with my other kids

Maya Pope

Best knowledge Colorado has to offer for history the stunning actress displaying a moment in time that comes so real to see. The enjoyed company of her voice draws you closer and closer every note that I hear. The striking compelling voice that I just see every time I'm in there. A woman of the name Lonnie McCabe plays as a young girl slave . Whose family headed for the mountains to be free . No matter the lengths it took or time that pasted. Creating a safe environment for all people that were held against their will. Could come and grow as an brave individual or courageous leader family also. Her story opened my heart and and listened in my mind. Realizing the amouth of growth and how much I need to appreciate more. Cant wait until the next time ny family and I take a tour!!!! Thatsbk history museum. Been real!! ✌

John Rayner

Beautiful and full of so many things I didn't know. The exhibits are built for easy flow and informative. Catching to the eye, fun, and educational.

Cliff Jones

Today is Colorado's 143rd anniversary of Statehood so History Colorado had a free admission day. We went around to all the exhibits and I found the one about the Ameche Japanese Internment camp very interesting. I am a History nut so anything History is right up my Alley. The facilities were well maintained and I used the Lavatory once and it was very clean and well maintained. The museum is very well put together and I left there knowing more about Colorado than I did before. Most interesting thing I learned? Colorado used to belong solely to the Ute Native American Tribe

Kathleen

A few portions of the exhibits were out of order. Not offered the audio tour

Jose hernandez

When I went in with my family the staff was very rude. There was a Middle Ages woman who looked my family up and down and with a mean look said can I help you? I’m sure this wasn’t the first time Latinos have entered or maybe she is rude with everyone. I felt very uncomfortable and would not ever come again or recommend because the staff is rude and makes you feel unwelcome. I used CityPASS but will not use again. Overall, the exhibit is great but not the front staff.

Emily Frasik

Lovely museum! I personally wasn't too interested in the history but there was a ton of amazing artwork from local high and middle School students to keep me entertained! Like really really good stuff. The building was also really well maintained and staff was all very friendly. Although I didn't spend too much time in them (all my friends did) the historical exhibits looked beautifully put together. I'd go here again!

Todd Grace

Exhibits tell the story of Colorado. Clean (huge) facility, good cafe with healthy food options.

Terri Fazio

great exhibits, fun slide, and loved the 100 item exhibit. The ski jump was a blast.

Roland Angerer

Very interactive museum with different exhibitions. I particularly liked the recovery of the history of the original inhabitants of Colorado - the Ute people. Their traditions and civilization is well depicted and explained and the effort to keep them alive and connect into today's world is well supported. Equally, the hall with the 100 significant objects representing the history of Colorado is a marvelous and innovative idea. Highly recommended for all visitors to Denver!

Jeana Marie DeLaCruz

A decision debate between "fantastic Colorado history" and "enormous Colorado value!" This is a must visit of all ages. Start from the fourth floor and work your way down to the first floor for a grand guaranteed finish. It is the most beautifully displayed atmosphere of Colorado's finest history! Take a look all around, there is a surprise around every corner.

geovanni sanchez

Was good got to see the real Colorado and had good staf.bit keep in mind I was at a private event so the musem was closed so these things can change

Cj Cullinan

Awesome locale. All should go to enjoy Colorado 's diverse history.

Rais Ezhel

great for a rainy day or a family weekend activity.

Bruce Lindsey

nice place to visit good place to take the kids you can walk around on first floor for free but the other floors are like $14 or so relaxing you learn a lot about Colorado historyhistory

Kevin Runia

The wild flowers exhibit was quite odd, not as impressive as the time machine was on my previous visit. I really enjoyed the Ute exhibit upstairs.

Tana Wood

We had such a wonderful time. We especially loved all the interactive exhibits.

Brooks Waldman

Denver Architectural Foundation's "box city Denver".........great experience for kids!

Willie Prater

Enjoyed the entire center very informative

Kip Whitaker

Interactive museum, I have never seen anything like it anywhere else!

tsw more

Fantastic...we didn't allow enough time

Rob Birdwell

Awesome place! The Colorado-based history here is great and the staff does a fantastic job of guiding groups (such as the elementary school I was with) in a myriad of aspects regarding Colorado state history.

Linda Bryant

I strongly like things from the past, so this place is just amazing for me. There are a lot of artifacts and interactive exhibits here. The collection of a local baseball collector is great. Definitely worth seeing.

Paula Baus

As a Wisconsin visitor to Denver with my 86 yo mother, I was very pleased to see they had a ramp and free use of a wheelchair. Price was reasonable, staff pleasant, helpful and seemed to enjoy their job. The baseball exhibit was awesome. It was nice to have someone their so knowledgeable about everything. Really enjoyed the 100 room too! Highly recommend.

Melissa and oreos drawing channel

Great for families to come I went there for a school field trip a long time ago and I got a free coupon to come in free and it's also good for kids to learn what it was like back in the old days

Joanne Baker

I've found this fascinating museum dedicated to the history of the state of Colorado recently and was pleasantly surprised by its educational exhibits. I like the third-floor one “The Centennial State in 100 Objects” the most. If you are interested in history, you should visit this place.

Inna Jeltai

Updated, spacious, with lots of artifacts and cool interesting facts about Colorado. Worth visiting!

Marie Hergan

This place was a surprise, lots of interactive things for kids, and it was free for kids all summer

Jeneane Malone

Enjoyed the history but felt ashamed at the end when I saw the display on marijuana becoming legalized and it was part of the museums display. Is this really our best legacy at this point in time? Pretty sad.

Eric Anderson

This is a great place to take the 5-15 year old kids. Fun interactive exhibits and always something fun for the adults too! We love going.

Robert Rulli

Nice. only got to 3 of 4 floors. Well done

cl Johnson

Enjoyed the History center very much, learned quite a bit about the state that I never knew. Visiting from Indiana. Great hands on areas for the kids.

Ashley Dumaine

The exhibits were great, we learned a lot about Colorado's history coming here! This is a great stop if you're spending a short time in Denver.

Jim Gianvito

Extremely entertaining, informative, and perfect for our school children!!

Christine Henriques

Went for a conference and visited the museum. Lots of fun. Very interactive

Valerie Espinoza

Went for a field trip with my 4th grader. Fun "experiences" rather than having visual exhibits only.

Debbie Cole

We enjoyed all the exhibits and learned so much about Colorado’s history. Good activities for young school children. We would certainly recommend.

Marie C

My family loved this place. We visited at a free evening. There was so much to see. The place was very well laid out. My daughter can't wait to go back again.

Jonathan Ro

Colorado pride clearly on display here. Curators have done a great job of laying out the history of this great state, giving out of state visitors like me a good sense of what makes Colorado Colorado. The 100 items display on the 3rd floor is well worth a visit as a helpful crash course on the history of the state.

Michael

4 floors of Colorado history...can easily spend the day and if you're a history buff, it's well worth it. There are several exhibits for children too. I went for the new Colorado beer exhibit which was good but I really liked the 100 things about Colorado which started with a prehistoric Arrowhead and ended with a glass cannabis pipe! Easy walking distance from Civic center station

gamin god

Free day free activities free food annual state of Colorado birthday.

janeal kitchens

Awesome. Learned alot about colorado

Dan Ingraham

Definitely recommended for all tourists. Nice combination of movies, artifacts, and hands on experience.

paul weber

Great place to take grandkids and kids. Kept them interested for hours

Bill Jackson

A good time and interesting exhibits.

Cole Merriman

Very well curated. 4 floors of different exhibits; all presented with detailed descriptions of what you're being presented

Van Manalo

Very informative. Three hours is not long enough if one wants to truly immerse and take time to read. I won't think twice visiting the place again. My favorite exhibit was the one about the Ute tribe.

Morgan Ray

Very informative about all of Colorado and ideas for places to visit in the state

Kathryn Stewart

We saw the Native Land presentation of the Ute communities. Very interesting. We now want to check out the other Ute museums in the History Colorado system.

Paul Rosenthal

My students loved the hands on exhibits. Great for kinesthetic learners.

Stuart Holden

The exhibits are well done and interactive. They make learning about history fun.

Brad Cooksey

My first time at the History Center was awesome! Great display of historic baseball memorabilia. Loved all the Native American articles! Great experience!

TJ Strasser

I really enjoyed my trip to History Colorado. I was a bit hesitant to take company there at first assuming it was aimed for young families and elementary/middle aged children! Was I wrong or what! We ended up staying for about 5 hours with a delicious mid visit snack in the Cafe. We probably could have stayed longer if we weren't trying to avoid Denver rush hour traffic. The |any exhibits were designed to appeal to a lot of ages, we really enjoyed the four we visited!

Steven B.

Went there January 4, 2019 for a Citizenship ceremony for children. Watched two kids become citizens from a family under my supervision. Great day. The museum itself is excellent in it's content, and a beautiful building as well. Highly recommend this place for school groups especially. They do offer military and senior discounts on admission prices.

Mary Cothren

Beautiful facilities for events and the catering staff was absolutely wonderful!

Rachel Shearer

I love History Colorado! Whether you're a native, a newbie or a tourist, this place is a must do for history buffs.

Steve Replogle

I generally enjoyed my recent visit to the museum with a school group. Our guide was top-notch, and the students found the exhibits interesting and fun. They particularly enjoyed the recreations: the Dust Bowl cabin, the old motorcar, the trading post, the mining elevator. As with many museums, adult interests were gratified by other objects nearby, longer texts or smaller artifacts. I noticed, but did not have time to view, a more sophisticated exhibit related to the Chicano Freedom Movement. I hope to return soon for that, and to see if there are other presentations beyond the range of our elementary social studies program. History belongs to everyone... even adults!

Bonnie Roper

Kids had a blast. Interactive while learning about history!

Logan D.R.

Very interesting museum about Colorado heritage. Rotating exhibits are always very interesting. Also, good venue for events.

Kaylynn Dixon-Ruiz

Isabella and I had a great time, learning about our state history and checking out local students art. And enjoyed a very nice lunch at the museums cafe.

Sami Roby

This was amazing! The Japanese internment exhibit gave me goosebumps! I teach about it with my WWII unit, but seeing it was a different level. I also loved the info on how the Chicano movement impacted specific portions of Colorado. I went as a mom on a field trip, but as history teacher I could 100% justify it yearly as it goes over every topic we do. The exhibits were interactive, relevant to all ages, and exhibits so many pieces of history that are personal for any citizen in Colorado. I was also very pleased that they were objective and unbias showing the good and bad of our history, as well as mindful of age appropriateness. Worth seeing for multiple trips. I just wish we would have had more time!

Angel Ruiz

Si van a Denver hay que visitar este lugar/ you need to visit this place of you visit Denver

Andrew Leith

This place is fantastic. Lots of great exhibits, including some rotating special exhibits. The annual pass is a great deal, too!

Kelly Landreth

Thank you for hosting the president of PETA's (Ingrid Newkirk) speech! It was wonderful and progressive. Animal rights will certainly go down in history as a battle won so what better place to host this event but in a history museum!

Benjamin Spence

Kind of light on actual content but what is here is well done. I especially recommend the mine :)

Kevin Cummings

This is a really thoughtfully laid-out museum fun for all ages. Not living in Colorado, I learned so many things I couldn't believe it. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to spend a day having a great time. The baseball exhibit was really intriguing not expecting to learn so much about famous players.

Aaron Sanford

I've used this space a couple of times now, and I've had nothing but great service from our coordinator and timely responses from the contact I've worked out the contract details with. I would definitely recommend uses the space and working with the staff here.

Steve Adeff

great museum, nice layout, fun interactive features, great way to learn about Colorado.

Jimmy Ivacic

I thought it was very interesting.

Doug Fraser-Pitt

Fascinating museum on the history of Colorado with visiting exhibits on the top floor. Lots of interactive displays for all ages and a really engaging mixture of audio visual experiences telling various stories from Colorado's past including the story of how the Civil and Indian Wars were interlocking, the Dust bowl times and civil rights movements. Really enjoyed it and the cafe was good too. Staff didn't hurry us out despite the fact we arrived just before closing time

Nemetis Aiza

Very nice place to learn about the history of Colorado, the distribution makes easy to keep the timeline and it is very interactive!

Edward Maidment

Honestly, the museum feels a bit sparse. There's vast areas that just aren't used. Some exhibits are great; some of them you wonder why they bothered it why it's even there. It just seems to lack focus. It's not a bad museum, it's just not great. Other States definitely have a message their trying to send or they're trying to be fairly complete. This felt like neither.

Zach Poulsen

This place is a great place to visit and there were almost no people here when we went. There is a ton do do and lots of interactive displays. If you are a Colorado resident I really encourage that you go here as there is a ton of information that is good to know and is not something that many people actually know.

Jonathon Apodaca

The events staff are the highest calibur of worker

Galen Davis

Surprisingly inclusive exhibits. Just very well done.

Dani Tyler

Very cool museum that not many people seem to know about. Fun for kids and adults. Especially love the Denver exhibit!

Amanda Martin

This is a wonderfully informative and interactive museum. You might not think it, but it is GREAT for kids. It's also extremely affordable on a budget. If you receive food benefits admission is only $1, just show your card. Kids are also free in the summer. Look for side street parking instead of the garage to save money if you don't plan on staying all day.

Kevin Ruth

One of the best museums I've been to in a long time. Very well curated and jam packed with Colorado history (both good and bad). After walking through all 4 levels I felt proud to be a resident of this beautiful state. I would love to go back with more friends in the future

Daughter oftheKING

Had a great time. Ages 37, 36, 19, 13, 11, 7, 5, and 4 year old, all had a blast. We spent 4 hours there, could easily stay longer but now we have a reason to return. We left for lunch and returned without a hassle. No private parking, parked on street and kept up with meter.

Elvis Colucci

The information about the Utes - historically and currently was moving and informative. I also liked the 100 objects from Colorado and the beautiful photographs from all across Colorado. The long-standing exhibit about the eastern Colorado town is really cool: it really appealed to my daughter and her friends when they were kids. Occasionally there are awesome information sessions as well. As a family, we came to see one about raptors.

Karen Stinson

One of the best museums I've been to. Very hands on and informative. Went during a children's celebration. Fantastic.

Karin Nary

Really neat place to explore in downtown Denver area. Amanda @ the front was very helpful with answering our questions.

Byron E

I really like this space. It's clean and the exhibits are really well placed and thought out

kalyanakrishnan krishnan

Very informatory. Well maintained.. Take time to visit all the floors. Bring young ones to improve their knowledge

Mitchell McBrayer

Wide variety of exhibits. Interactive exhibits were well done.

Ryan PC Gibson

Small but worthwhile museum. The first floor had a really fun hands on exhibit for our kid, and I'm a big fan of the succinct "100 objects" exhibit.

Raluca Alina Laic

The staff is incredibly helpful and the exhibits are fun and interactive. Written on the land and Colorado stories were particilarly interesting!

Julia Kim

Fun and educational exhibit. Recommend at least 2 hours.

Timoteo

This place blew my expectations away! The exhibits were of amazing quality and there is actually too much to do in one visit! The local Colorado exhibits were incredibly educational in a super fun way! I loved every minute!

Chris Rockwood

One of the most comprehensive and interesting state museums I've visited. A bit pricey, but worth the money. Great in-depth exhibit on the history of the Ute tribes. Special events like the current baseball exhibit should always keep things fresh.

Susan Stanford

Very beautiful. Eclectic energy.

Eugene Carmona

I loved the place! So many interesting things, loved the Japanese internment and mining exhibits. Will definitely be returning soon!

Jane

Lots of interesting things to look at

Cali Noelle

This place is amazing! It is the best historical museam.... Scratch that..... The best meuseam I have ever been too! There is so much to do and see. It is super interactive and they make learning fun. Definitely go here! Also if you like old houses and women's history ask for the free ticket to go to the Byers- Evans house.

Narmada Morris

Enjoyed an evening here for a gala! It is beautiful for an event, however the dining area can feel crowded and gets hot. Other than that I absolutely loved the main entrance and rooms outside to explore!

Ed Parkhurst

Interesting Colorado history. Variety of exhibits. Concentrates on various cultures.

Renn

Very good, I learned a lot about our state!

Salena Salinas

1000th Review I love Colorado and this resource we have to share in the community.

Kari Rowe

I was very impressed by this museum! Very comprehensive and interactive. I especially appreciated the Ute tribe exhibit.

Courtney Ream

Really cool museum to learn about Colorado and its history. Parking is available on street at meters and there are parking garages around too. The price is affordable. Located next to good resturaunts and bars on Broadway. I recommend this place to all visitors.

George Gomez

Ok visit not enough hands on for the kids.

Rhonda DeFabritus

Interesting, well spaced exhibits. Nice cafe, food was good.

Brandy Davis

Really fun and interesting museum. The second floor is shocking and worth seeing. So inclusive and powerful! You need to go!

Justin Trobec

Wonderful experience for anyone, but especially for kids. Our guide (Tom) was incredibly knowledgeable and really patient with a very large group of children. Currently there is a massive display of art on the upper 2 levels that is all done by middle school and high school students. The level of talent shown by these students is worth the trip by itself!

Jason Meyers

Wonderful place to visit and gain an understanding of the past. The exhibits are thoughtfully designed and high quality.

Stephen Humer

$14 for an adult, four floors, ~7 exhibits. I went at 2:30 on a Sunday and stayed for about two hours (closes at 5). The history ranged from Keota, CO and the Dust Bowl to the Ute people and how they were displaced. It ended on a fun note with a beer exhibit and also had the A-Zs of Colorado and 100 items of Colorado. There was also a replica Model T, which I've never seen in person before. Family friendly with a lot of activities for kids, although as a sologoer in his late 20s I had a good experience. Would recommend, generally.

Michelle Parker

I just can't get over how wonderful out your guide was. Enthusiastic, engaging, and informed. I can't wait to go back!!

Carlos Figueroa

Very informative, beautiful, clean and full of pictures to illustrate those who don't read and judge without the knowledge of what really went on.

Daniel Dorritie

Mountain and city views from the interesting museum. Great place for a person that is new or old to Colorado to get to know this great state.

Don Rose

This museum, built in 2012, is a fine modern museum with a vast array of Colorado artifacts. I especially enjoyed the 100 objects exhibit.

R Pratt

Informative for a visitor. Located downtown.

Sam Morales

Excellent place for family visits. After 1 trip we became members. We loved the Play Ball exhibit and the history of Colorado. We recommend natives and transplants visit at least yearly to learn about the culture and history of our beautiful state. Reminder street parking is usually a challenge and the meters now take credit cards in addition to coins. It is across from Denver Art Museum (DAM) and within walking distance of several other downtown attractions and eateries, we recommend making a day of it.

Forrest Bower

Absolute Must do for history buffs. I could have spent all day reading every piece of info on the wall, or watching every video. Truly amazing exhibits that bring history to life. The guided history audio extra is cool and worth it I thought, some parts were spectacilar, in particular the one for beer, however not amazing some of the time was when the audio was just spoken text on the wall. Only other complaint was it sonetimes was to loud to hear something because something else was making noise in the exhibit. Either way give yourself a day, amazing.

Mandy Lenihan

Great place to bring your kids! They will learn so much about the history of Colorado while having fun with all the different exhibits available. They have a room available for eating packed lunches and nice clean facilities. Their exhibit guides are full of fun facts and very knowledgeable historical tidbits.

Linda Fazzari

Great museum. 1st 2 floors are very interactive and kid friendly. The exhibits become more serious upstairs, but all well done.

Sandy Troff

We enjoyed all the exhibits. We went specifically for the 'Beer Here' and found it interesting. We had already been on the Coors Brewery tour and found that info helpful in viewing their Beer Here exhibit. We enjoyed all the old saloon pictures in the beginning. The museum building is very nice and easy to get around. We went on a Sunday as meter street parking is free. It was not crowded on the day we went. Senior discount available and we had coupons for $2 off. They had to ring up us separately to use both the coupons.

Janelle Loera

I loved it here! So much history and the staff know so much! Definitely worth going

Cat Chorney

Beautiful filled with history and hosts beautiful events. Most recently, they hosted the Thorn Gala Fashion Show to help support their mission in ending child trafficking and eliminating online child sexual abuse material. Designer Featured: Kim Ta Lim

Keith Lommatsch

Colorado is a fascinating place, and this museum showcases it. Particularly engaging are the Ute Indian Stories and history of Keota, Colorado. The beer exhibit seemed to be sponsored by Coors, but didn't really impress me. They're still doing construction, so, if you're hoping for a silent tour, you're out of luck. It wasn't very busy, which I think is sad for a state so rich in history.

Marissa Van Kooten

I visited History Colorado for the first time in May on a field trip with my class of 4th grade students. Our tour guide, Angel, did an amazing job of engaging the students and explaining the exhibits we were able to go through. There are a variety of hands-on activities and experiences that brought history to life not only for my students but for myself and the other adults as well. Due to time constraints, we only scratched the surface, but I look forward to returning on my own to explore more of the exhibits.

Jesse Perez

The staff and exhibits are so amazing. Went here with my son on a school trip. Jack was our tour guide, and he was amazing with what he knows about Colorado history. Jack's ability to keep a bunch of rowdy 4th graders attention was impressive.

Dawna E

Had a lot of fun and learned a lot about Colorado that I didn't know. Our tour guide was awesome!

Lisa Lopez

Vsiting from Florida and thought we would visit the History Colorado Center... Totally Not Impressed. If you want to hear about how badly Indians, Mexicans, and African Americans were treated then this place is 4 u. Not many of the interactive displays were working. There wasn't many displays and having 4 large floors you would think they would b filled. There was a lot of empty footage. Not worth your time, spend that $20 admission on something else. I guess others agree as the center was almost empty... More employees than visitors.

Barb Buchanan

Oh I could just walk around this place for hours and hours and hours and hours. There's so much neat stuff. Taking my kids here is informative and interactive which is total bonus. Learning made easier at History Colorado Museum.

David Berkowitz

This is a really fun treat that is great for pretty much any and every age. There is a ton here for kids, but lots of adult topics are covered thoughtfully from beer to Japanese internment. Kudos to the curators.

Jeffrey Stephen Parker

Great place to learn a lot of great things about Colorado

Carol Fisher

Very informative museum. Great hands-on exhibits

Katie Noyce

This museum was a huge surprise!!! My son went here on a school field trip and I went along too. This place is beautiful, thoughtfully done, and very detailed. It has mini town area complete with a general store, old fashioned car, prairie house, & barn (with fun slide & chicken coup to collect eggs). We also saw the mining exhibit (no detail excluded), the Colorado pop culture exhibit (don’t know the official name), and the dust bowl exhibit (complete with a theater room to recreate living through the dust storm inside a prairie house). The group lunch room in the basement is gorgeous! It recreates camping in the Colorado mountains! I know we only saw a smidge if this medium. It is a must see for anyone in the Denver area or tourists in the area.

Brian Rossignol

Was, honestly, pretty meh. Enjoyed the 100 items exhibit, but overall it was fairly cheesy. We had $5 ticket coupons from the Byers-Evans house (which I recommend) so all-in-all it was pretty much worth the price of admission.

Jason Bach

This was my second time to the center. This time I came specifically for the history of beer exhibit. Great thing to see. The center is a fabulous thing to see with the exhibits rotation making it different each time I have gone.

Fe kezia Fo

I love this place. The 100 artifacts of denver is a awesome review of Denver.

Scott OTK

Great museum, 1 star subtracted for one of the weirdest/dumbest museum names. Why is it not "Colorado History Center"?

Zachery Acosta

Great place for family visits. Cool museum to learn about Colorado and its history. The middle is a fabulous thing to see with the exhibitions rotation making it different every time I have gone. Parking is available on the street, and there are parking garages around too. The museum fee is affordable. I would highly recommend it.

Rick Elmore

I am new to the state, so the exhibit was very informative. Also set up to be very interesting

Lina Aguilar

From Chicagoland area, we really enjoyed our time there.

Mikey P

Tons of stuff to do and see here. You can learn a lot about Colorado and it's history. Plus other special events go on here too. My family

David Karrick

Dope Graf in da alley anyways!?

Andrew McCollum

Very impressive place.

Christopher Provost

A very cool exhibit across the ages. Went to see the History of Beer in Colorado and saw so much more. From the skiing history to the diorama of Denver, to the Fort Bent exhibit, it was a great time. Got to try a ski jumping attempt on Howelsen Hill which was really fun. The cafe had a decent flight of beers to pair with the history of beer exhibit which was nice.

Angela Zollitsch

Great curatorship and authenticity regarding history. Tremendous experience for the young and young at heart.

Marsha Lilley

Cool exhibits, not crowded at all so if looking for relaxing experience this is it. Volunteer in Japanese internment camp very informative and knowledgeable.

Ashley Owens

We really enjoyed learning about the history of this state.

Valerie Clark

This is a great place to spend the day. We were there from open to close. It opens at 10:00 and closes at 5:00. The only day they are closed is Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Year's. And we still did not finish the whole place. They have handy cap entrance and ramp. The employees are very knowledgeable about the product's. It has a gift shop and the bathrooms are clean and we'll lit. You should come and check it out for yourself.

Kathy Struwe

Absolutely amazing. Was there 3 hours and only made it to 2 floors. Great exhibits.

Gingerrose Cassius

Went on Colorado free day, it was fun & inquisitive!

Graeme Williams

We've been here several times and enjoyed it each time. This time we saw the interesting beer history exhibit and the fabulous "Colorado history in 100 objects" exhibit. Also the cafe and gift shop are fine.

Shannon Holck

Great for kids and adults. A replica of a homestead act town, a dust bowl simulation, native american exhibits, and an indoor camping area, and much more. Would love to go back and see more!

Sandra Switzer

Loved the place. A family could spend all afternoon there. For something for everyone. On Sundays you can park on the street for free.

David Pollack

Could have found something better to do besides this place

Paul E

What a great place to get some history with truly unique exhibits ranging from gold mining to skiing to baseball. The exhibit of Colorado history had some incredible pieces to include uniforms of famous generals to timeless flags each with a history of its own. Great place to explore! Great place to learn about the state as well!

Jared Ronkos

The traveling exhibits are always interesting. The snow boards were very well put together and decorated. The kids art show impressed not only myself but my family. To see how many amazing young artists of all different mediums are in Colorado.

Jose Diazdeleonambriz

This Museum is interactive and a must visit with your children. The top floor has a Lego room that is fun for the whole family... Well actually the entire museum is fun, yes i said fun. That i remember it had a Chicano room, Native American, Denver, and a 1800's pionner room and then some! Affordable and across the street parking lot.

Kirsten Thornton

Had never been here before and really enjoyed it. A lot of great and interesting history laid out in a fun and unique way. Highly recommend

Mel Sawyer

Awesomeplace to learn about Colorado's history. My daughter and I enjoyed the experience.

Doug Magee

The history center always has interesting and creative exhibits when I go. We visited the Beer Here exhibit along with a few others. We could have spent many more hours walking through other displays. The children in our group, as young as 5, found fun things to do as well.

Bradley Turner

It is a great exhibit of Colorado's history with a fair and balanced mix of all of our State's history, both that which brings us pride and shame.
