Nothing comes free in this world anymore however the Broad is an exception. A place to check some cool art exhibited by artists. Do not miss the millions of lights

CA Lutocka

Ultra modern outside. Two floors with many creative, changing exhibits. From the times of Malcom X, original newspapers under glass and much more. All types of modern exhibits as well, beautiful displayed with space around the exhibits for reflection. Reasonable prices. (Some Art museums in LA are free, like the Getty). Mix of many wonderful cultures in DTLA.

Reynold Bryan

One of the best museums in Los Angeles. Very organized and I would suggest always making reservations when possible. Otherwise, amazing art collections.

Juljan Desmet

One the best museums I've ever visited, and I've done my fair share. There is a lot of variety in artists and you are thrown into new interpretations and styles with every room you enter. Really remarkable that this is free!

J Hoover

Highly recommend! Fabulous building, great collection, really great special exhibits!! Get your tickets online as soon as you’ve planned your trip to LA, they sell out quickly. We also had great luck with the walk-up line once. Always worth a try, and if you can’t get in, all of downtown LA is right there. Lots of good food nearby. Convenient parking.

George Sdonas

Great Museum. Perfect size so that you get to see everything in one visit.

Laura Turvey

Fab place. All my favourite art. Lovely people. The infinity exhibit is spectacular. Be sure to book your tickets online. And don’t feel you have to park in the lot, there’s cheaper parking on the roads nearby. That said, if you buy from the very cool gift shop - they validate your parking.

Aspen Knight

I've yet to explore the inside of "The Broad", supposedly a modern museum. The building is architecturally beautiful. There's a blue-window hole on the side of the building; I like holes. I'll have to explore it next time. The place is near the Walt Disney Concert Hall, another interesting building design.

Anita Hudson-Smith

The museum staff were friendly and helpful. The exhibits were very interesting with history of the Black lives and history. Some were adult like. Caution if you bring your young children.

George Lowery

The Broad is one of the best modern art museums in LA, IMHO. You can get a new amazing experience, sometimes very undetectable. It helps you to stay in the trend of modern art and enjoy it's best showpieces.

Robert Sack

One of the coolest museums I have been to. The art is amazing and the presentation is great. The Infinity Room display had a two hour wait and was a waste of time. Skip this if you go and use the two hours for something else.

Marina Miranovich

The exhibition is gorgeous, but be sure to sign up for the infinity room early and in general it's better to book your tickets online. Admission is free, keep in mind that the entrance line is quite long without a ticket.

Shane Cahill

Hadn't heard of this until daughter suggested we visit it. The displays were fantastic. So happy we went.

Allen Feng

Lots of interesting artwork on the upper floor. Permanent infinity mirrors exhibit too but you will have to wait a couple hours for it, and you are limited to 45 seconds. Still pretty cool

landert1897

This is hands down the coolest art museum I’ve ever seen. Not a big art guy by any means, but this place is spectacular.

Joe Cyrus

Such wonderful place has a great vibe. The art is amazing and meaningful.

The _RDGr

Great place to visit, definitely kept clean and modern. Though, this exhibit is harder to understand and has more of a professional art style. I didn't see the spark in some paintings but probably because I didn't understand them. Paintings change every month so I just might not be ij the right one.

John Smith

Overall, the exhibit was good, but I would have liked to see more pieces and for them to utilize a bigger space for the exhibit. The museum is great for photo opportunities, but again it's relatively smaller than I expected. The staff was great, bathrooms are clean.

Erick Almeida

It is always fun to get your brain stimulated by being surrounded with great art and wonderful statues and masterpieces. Don't forget to get your 45 seconds of personal real estate and private infinity at the infinity room as this is one of those opportunities I would say you get once in a lifetime.

Christian Zane Clado

The broad was an awesome free contemporary art museum that would be a great place to go if you are looking for something to do in the city. The architecture of the building it self was awesome to look at. There were art pieces from various artist. There is a variation in the type of art as well such as paintings, drawing, interactive pieces and much more. If you like to take picture this is also a great place to do so. They highly encourage it. One of the big attractions is the infinity room. If you are lucky you will get a chance to see it, but keep in mind there is always a big line up and you need to get there to reserve a spot. Overall a cool place to check out!

Wilbert Paschke

Great museum i have ever seen. I have visited several times over there with my friends and family. Good historical place to learn about art. Good source of general knowledge . Their collection is very amazing. I highly recommended this museum to all.

Mir Henglin

Just small enough to see everything in one go. The giant table is a lot of fun, just don't touch! The infinite star rooms are very pretty and well. You only have 45 seconds, so don't spend it all taking photos!

Candace L.

Saw the fantastic, thought-provoking exhibit, "Soul of a Nation" that encompassed portraiture, sculpture and abstract paintings from Black artists exploring the meaning of Black art and protest. Also had the opportunity to see the Kusama lights exhibition and shop the tasteful, well-curated gift shop. The wait time for the "Soul" exhibition was really frustrating at first, but the staff brought umbrellas to those standing in the sunny side of the line. The line ended up moving faster than I anticipated (waited less than an hour around lunchtime on the free admission day). And registering for the text message system allows you to enjoy the museum while waiting to be contacted for entry to the Kusama section, so that's maybe the best way to handle the high demand for viewing.

Kiara Janee'

This is a nice free museum with modern Art. Book your ticket online so that you do not have to wait in line. It was much smaller than I expected and I only spent about 35 minutes here.

Anice 72000

Went to African American art exhibit covering mainly between the 60 and 70's on display until September. This was very well put together. Lots of information given about the various artists. A must see if you love art.

Mike Weaver

One could spend all day here. However, I visited specifically for the Art in the Age of Black Power exhibit. The installation was wonderfully done. I did not rush through it and was able to absorb artists' interpretations of events. Again, did not venture any further than the first floor. Maybe next time...

Jcx

There are a lot of museum in the area but this one has a special piece inside that made me specifically go here and spend more than 2 hours. A Yayoi Kusama infinity mirror is housed inside where you need to register to be able to see it. You go inside a room and there you have it, a masterpiece where you can see as far as the eyes can see. Truly an amazing experience to see her work.

Alex Y

The exhibits were fantastic. From andy Warhol to Roy Lichtenstein, the museum had everything you can ask for. You should be able to see the museum in 1.25 hours. If you want to see the infinity light, I strongly recommend signing up for it first. They only show it to limited number of people.

Steven Compton

Masterful exhibits guaranteed to spark meaningful conversations amongst friends or inspire solo contemplation.

Edward Crawford

One of the best place in Los Angeles for art lovers. If you really are an art lover and loves creativity so you should be visiting this place it will give a great boost to your art and creativity and will also help you grooming your mind.

Ana Muneton

Even though it is free to go in you need to get tickets online before going otherwise you end up waiting in line for a long period. What I liked best was the light room, but we had to wait like an hour to get in and they only let you stay a few minutes.

lee merschon

Architecturaly, the building itself is worth the visit. The exhibit itself did not speak to me. It was consistent of many art pieces which didn't take much talent to create. Not my thing.

Marily Mitropoulou

great museum for modern art, the infinity mirrors room, not to be missed, make sure you sign up once you enter the museum

Jessica Harders

Nice art gallery to visit! I'd suggest going here and MOCA in the same day as the Broad only takes a few hours and they're right across the street. Had some great exhibits and some not to my liking, but that's just personal taste in art. Still a fun day out!!

june williams

This place is phenomenal. The art exhibits are sensational, educational, and inspirational. I went to see Soul of a Nation, dynamic, then I attended a special event, it was fantastic! If you haven't been you are missing out.

Skunk Jo

Really cool, you have to reserve tickets online some time in advance, but if you don't, you can also queue to be let in anyway. It's such a beautiful buildings with really cool architecture inside, but it is quite small. Definitely fun for an hour or so, but it's not a gallery you'd spent a day at, especially because lots of the art is minimalist or weird and not something you can spend forever poring over (unless you adore modern art). It's definitely worth a visit in any case! I'd reserve tickets because I don't think it'd be worth standing in line for an hour or so to go in.

Omar A. Muhammad, Th.M

My first visit to The Broad assured that I will be returning. I went for the The SOUL of a NATION presentation that was excellent. But I got so much more The light room display made me feel like I had already become a eternal star in a galaxy of stars. The people who are drawn to the BROAD are as artistic in their expressions as the art. The docents at the Broad are so cutting edge trendy that they become live works of art worth viewing. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at the Broad. The parking at the Broad ended up costing $25

John Webber

The architecture alone is worth the visit here. What an amazing building, inside and out. The place is bathed in natural light, making it such a pleasure to view the incredible art collection. The art is so very cool, and curated so well. The store on the ground floor is worth a stop, and the books sold are hard not to buy after being inspired by the art collection. Definitely park under the building as it is the most convenient. And make sure to reserve free tickets for entry as data ahead as you can.

SoyGal

The museum was so good! There is a bit of waiting before entering the museum (1 hour) and there is a separate queue of 15 min for the famous infinity room, which I recommend! Your 45 seconds alone in this room are so magical this is a feeling I would never forget. Plus, the top floor is free, and you have a lot of different contemporary pieces of art, I'm you'll find something interesting to look at

Kirsteen Mackay

A wonderful collection of contemporary art, with sculptures and paintings from a wide range of popular artists. The audio guide was very insightful, the space itself was enjoyable to walk around (particularly as we were able to store our backpacks at the front desk!) I would definitely recommend a visit, especially as it's free (in comparison to other popular galleries in the city).

Pierpaolo Occhino

very suggestive place, characterized by futuristic and very particular architectures, almost unique. the structure hosts important contemporary exhibitions and the staff is very kind and qualified. ideal to spend at least 2 hours to appreciate evolved paintings, technologies and sculptures. parking spaces everywhere for those who want to travel by public transport. in the area you can also find excellent dining options and good Italian cuisine, with Italian espresso, and it's not a small thing. recommended!

Ataraxia Lust

There was quite an interesting collection of pieces available when I popped in. Loved that there were so many styles for everyone to enjoy and the calm atmosphere around the whole place. Tons of photo opportunities and fun displays (like a giant balloon animal, oversized table set, etc)! Might pay to see the other exhibits next time I'm able to visit

Simon John Cheng

This place is amazing! Had a nice walk to enjoy the art and then lunch at Otium. The perfect date night!

Shawn Henson

Beautiful building. Excellent personnel. Great variety of art forms that change on occasion. I would like to know how often they change the displayed works as well as the special exhibits.

Cynthia Tran

We booked advanced tickets which helped with the line. Their art collection was very fun with many recognizable pieces. There was about an hour wait for The Infinity Mirrored Room, but it gave us time to check out the exhibit upstairs. We could have used just a little more time taking in the Yayoi Kusama rooms, but also understand why there is a time limit. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

Elwyn Johnson

The air was filled with excitement. Many people from all over the world. Great set up for art appreciation and viewing.

Dipesh Rafaliya

One of the best place to explore art. It has the finest collections of art. I haven’t been to any art museum so I couldn’t compare it with other. But despite of that even if you are a person who admires art or just want to have good time. It can be a good choice. I would highly recommend you if you are passionate art enthusiast or have some passion for photography. Would recommend it.

Khoi Nguyen

Loved this modern museum. It never disappoints. Fairly small with 1-2 floors. There are plenty of exhibitions and expect to spend 1-2 hours here. The infinity mirrors room will take about a 2-4 hour wait but well worth it. It's best to reserve all tickets online. Overall, great museum and a must visit when in LA

tony riegos

Everything is amazing the building the exhibitions the fillings you have when you are in. One word GREAT. CLOSED MONDAYS

Ace O'spades

Great museum. It's free. Some exhibits call for an extra fee but it won't leave dent in your wallet. Try to reserve a ticket online for a speedy entrance or wait in the line which moves pretty fast.

Matthew Parks

I absolutely loved the broad! Being able to see so much amazing art for free in the heart of downtown L.A. was an amazing experience. With famous artist on display here, the value is insane considering the free cost. I can not suggest this place enough!! I absolutely think this is one of the best museums in the city!

Myrrh Sewell

I greatly recommend reserving tickets in advance when possible. Line outside grew quite long but as long as you reserve a free ticket ahead of time you can just waltz right in. Amazing collection. I personally didn't do all too much research on the museum before going and wasn't expecting to see such iconic and prolific pieces and artists. In the stairwell leading downstairs from the main floor there are little open windows to view some kind of storage or archive. Which I found incredibly interesting and was pretty facinated by. Amazing museum.

Jessica Enger

Love this museum. Such a beautiful place with amazing art displayed. The room of lights is a must see. Make sure to get your name on the reservation list to enter the room before you start to tour the place!

Astrid Turner

Amazing museum! We reserved tickets in advance and got in on time, but they still ran out of tickets for the infinity mirrored room before we got to the front of the line. :( We still saw the smaller exhibit, though, and thought it was very cool. I enjoyed seeing the Warhol and Lichtenstein works and the museum was easy to navigate. My three kids enjoyed it as well and the staff was kind and helpful.

Fawad Shaiq

It was cool, I'm not a huge art person, but there was enough variety to keep me interested. We spent just over an hour there and that was enough to see everything in the free permanent exhibition. You have to pay to see the special exhibits. Also, as soon as you enter go to the tablet on the left and sign up for a slot to visit the infinity room. Our wait time was 1.5 hours so we had to wait a bit after we saw the rest of the museum to go in. If you get there earlier in the day the wait isn't as bad for the infinity room.

Farhad Bagheri

Has some really cool pictures and sculptures but I don’t see all the hype about it. At least the entrance is free.

T. Thomas

Visited the "Soul of a Nation", very beautiful exhibit. The rest of the museum was very nice. Great places to eat near by.

Ruby Sanchez/Keifer

It was interactive on a few portions and it wasn't boring artwork I don't usually like museums. It was not too big and I enjoyed the types of art work they had there.

Raffy Halim

For a free museum, this excellent. Great selection of modern art with a nice focus on contemporary pieces. The infinity room is also a must visit. Would suggest booking online and coming early since there is usually a big line on the day to get in. The building it self is pretty cool too! A must visit in LA

Ilia Forouzan

Beautiful building. Some special pieces but certain rooms feel like a pop up Instagram museum in the Beverly Center. They hire saints for security guards as I heard them each tell at least 1 selfie taker to stop touching the art. I bet they employee someone to wipe self tanner of the walls. A wonderful surprise was Second hand reading. I watched it twice.

Jacob 13

Brilliant building, and the contents to match. Some incredibly well known artists and their works. Would highly recommend to anyone with an artistic interest, not matter how small.

Omah Diegu

Fantastic exhibition of Black American Artists works that capture the mood of the black revolution in the USA .. . 1963 to 1983. This prestigious museum . . . The Broad . . . is exactly the right venue for such an important period in history. Exhibition is on until late September. I m honored to have been invited to the opening party and arrived early enough to enjoy the art works with my company before the crowd happened. A must visit for all! I will again.

Siju Kurian John

One of the best museums in Los Angeles. Please be there by 6 PM as they close at 8 PM. If using public transport please alight at Civic Center Metro Station. It is 15 minutes walk from this Station. This is adjacent to Walt Disney Concert Hall. This is also near to Famous Grand Park. This place gives lot of photographic opportunities. This place is so clean and well organized.

Jeanne Rose Legarski

One of the coolest museums I’ve been to. Contemporary Art is Simply Amazing! Is definitely come again soon!

Paul Nguyen

This place was awesome! Suggest everyone to go but go early, like right when they open! Get free tickets online instead of going into standby line. There is a parking garage and free validation parking on weekdays and $15 on weekends. There in other places around that are walking distant. Museum of art, OEU and Disney concert hall.

Lauren Brummitt

This museum is amazing & free! We had so much fun exploring the art. We were fortunate to see the Infinity Mirror Exhibit while we were there.

jd ps

Lovely open galleries that seem purpose built for the large and monumental works. The collection is breathtaking. The smaller spaces felt well suited to the show on display also. Will return whenever I can.

M Hernandez

The way the infrastructure of the honeycomb design on the outside of the building let’s the light in is so cool to see from inside. It’s the best way I’ve seen diverted light in a museum. I’m always in Awe when I visit even the general area. For something like their Soul of a Nation special exhibitions, they are offering days of the week to view it for free. And that’s pretty sweet.

Grace George

The Broad is a great museum. It has nice art and great staff. It opens at 10. I recommend buying tickets online because that line is much shorter than the other line which you must buy tickets in .

Alexis Johnson

Can't wait to go back. The soul of a nation exhibit was so intriguing. The museum as a whole was so fun to visit.

Fin Net

It was free. No line for us who booked a day in advance. It’s small & Modern. Great 1.5 hrs spent in downtown.

Maëlys Toma

The special exhibitions are nice, and the permanent collection is really cool with a lot of different types of artwork. Plus, it's free and well located in downtown LA.

Ann Bowers-Evangelista

Great experience strolling the Broad today. Famous contemporary works by well known artists.

Michelda George

Just a few photos. The staff was nice. Pretty good art exhibit!

Melanie Grace

The Brood is a great museum hands down! At a time when collectors are not sharing their collections with the world the Broad has done a fabulous job in continuing to stimulate an interest and appreciation for the Arts for all rather than with a select few. With a fine selection and variety of art to consider, my favorite statement by Andy Warhol was "Art is what you can get away with."

Miguel Martinez

I'm usually not the biggest fan of museum without a host of interactive displays. But I really enjoy the painting and artworks at 'The Broad'. I'll have to visit again, it was that nice.

Mary Chang

This is not a kid's friendly place. We took our kids there ( at that time they were 5 and 3) the personal was very "aware" of my kids, following us everywhere. We haven't come back since

Glenn Coco

The museum is amazing the soul of nation was spectacular like you walked back into time and space. To the infinity mirror exhibit. Just wish you could gotten more then 45 sec for a two hour wait for the infinity mirrors. Was expecting like a minute or two hard to take so many pics. 3 stories beautiful artwork. Some staff members are nice the other were rude. You can tell they were so agitated and over their jobs. Didn't stop my friend and I for having an amazing time parking was ridiculous even with it waived it was null and voided only waived for 2 hours like seriously. The art work just amazing

Regina Tatum

First time visiting. Saw the Soul of a Nation display. It was so wonderful. The staff were plenty and helpful and very courteous. Enjoyed it very much and the building is so nice and there is easy parking right at the building for $15.00.

Marco Flores

It's a highlight of Los Angeles, this museum has a great collection of contemporary art. The building is amazing as well to contemplate art. It's a crowded place be patient. The store and the coffee shop are nice to complete the tour.

Leah Shin

The museum is pretty cool! The layout was a bit confusing and it was easy to miss a room. Overall pretty neat and I would definitely want to come again to see their new exhibits. Tickets are free if you reserve them online in advance. The special exhibits are not included—those are usually first come first serve. When they had the infinity room, I waited in line when they opened in the morning and i was still unable to get in..

William Lovell

The architecture is amazing. The collection of paintings fascinating, the staff extremely helpful and know the art collection, i just asked and was well informed.

Anna Wilczek

The museum itself is good, but we wanted to see the Infiniti Room - no luck. Impossible to book online, by lunch time (the earliest pre-book entry time) the Infinity Room was fully booked. Very disappointed with the experience-it would be so easy to avoid it all.

Desirae Dickinson

Every exhibit was great!!! Lovely architecture. Ticket reservations are free, so waiting in line is a last resort. The infinity mirror room was amazing: sign up for it as soon as you get into the museum!

Rayelle Dooley

My boyfriend and I visited The Broad for the first time a couple weeks ago and loved it. We spent a lot of time looking at some of our favorite artists’ work but I’d still go back and see them all over again. The way the museum is set up is cool too with the tunnel leading upward, etc. It makes you feel like you’re in a cave. The staff was very friendly as well. Will definitely be back soon!

P Dang

Wow free admission? Amazing The architectures of the museum creates such beautiful soft lighting for the sight seers A must stop for fans of modern art. You can buy tickets online for free. I would suggest this so you can just walk right in. For the infinity mirror room just wait for the iPad to open up. Keep checking back in. We signed in. It said to wait 2 hours but we got in after 20 mins. I think many people just sign up then don't make it back to view the room. Beware of the text. I had 20 mins to make it back in time. Also you have about a minute to take picture in the light room box. Be prepared.

M J Roberts

Great exhibits. Contemporary interior design and use of space. Especially like how the escalator was aesthetically integrated into design. Appreciate that museum is open FREE to the public on THURSDAY. Slight confusion on notification regarding scheduled time.to visit Infinity Room installation.

Juyoung Lee

Went for infinity mirror room, and individual could have 45 sec inside. Was too short to take good pics but definately worth it !

Akil Smith

It's very busy place lot of people/ tourist, but it has the material to back it up. I saw lots of modern art. I've been to a number of museums and this place isn't the best I've seen, but it's not the worst.

Juan Carlos Del Real

The exhibit is too small and well not my type of museum tbh, the only thing that's worthy is the infinity room

Lucas House

Amazing gallery! Best place to see amazing pieces from world-renound artists, all without having to pay to enter (as my ticket was free through the website, not sure if this is a one off). Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Jeff Koons, just some of the great names that have their art work currently on display here. If you get the chance to visit, I'd greatly advise it, it was the best way to spend 90 minutes of the day.

Chester Rodriguez

This is a great museum to come to if you don’t have any plans for the weekend or spare time during the week. I do recommend you reserve tickets online ahead of time! It saves you the time of waiting in a long line for at the door tickets. The art here is very unique and take your time observing every piece of art, to appreciate it. There are a few places near the museum if you want to grab a bite to eat after, which is very convenient. They do allow cameras, just as long as you turn off your flash. Bags are also allow but if they’re big bags I think they may have to search. Over all I enjoyed my time here and I place to come again! I didn’t get to go into the infinity room, because you have to reserve tickets for that separately from your admission tickets.

weusi baraka

The SOUL OF A NATION exhibit is incredible! An emotional rollercoaster! I shed tears of joy and anguish. The beauty and pain of the time is reperesented masterfully! And ... The works in the rest of the museum are mind boggling. I've been to more than a few museums and the energy in THE BROAD drips creativity and progressive visioning. I'll be back the be next time I'm in LA!

Mary Bray

Loved it!! I just waited in line on a Sun afternoon & got in right away. It's Free even better!! A big variety of artwork. Not sure about parking I took the Red Line & walked a couple of blocks only.

Shari Lisenby

From the impressive architecture to the contemporary art show on the 3rd floor, it's great and a great museum. You are free to enter here, but you must book a time period online, otherwise you may have to wait a long time to enter. We booked in advance and came in directly without waiting.

Danika G

I loved this museum. My only advice is to either go really early when it opens or better, book a reservation weeks in advance to ensure that you won't spend your time outside in line. A lot of good contemporary art which is easier to be enjoyed by plenty.

N C

Fabulous collection, great space. Excellent temporary exhibition about Black Power. Top institution.

Shashwat Kadam

The stunning architecture and beautiful art pieces defines 'The Broad'. Very unique art exhibits are there. The most popular is the Infinity Room where you get just for 30 seconds and get an experience worth the visit of this museum. Excellent

Trevor Taylor

Your parking pay stations don't work. Had validation. It was well within the time limit, had not expired. Still paid $25. Parking lot staff in general was incredibly rude both before and after the $25 incident. Broad itself is great. Your parking service and staffing need a massive overhaul.

Zoë SultenFuss

Cool collection though very small. Not a museum to spend all day in or really more than an hour. Appreciate that it’s free (if you’re not parking)

Liam Davis

Recently went for the first time. What a great way to spend the day. I would highly recommend it.

Anthony Rosa

An incredible museum. I've been there many times and I live in San Diego. The building itself is a work of art. The exhibitions are always amazing. Saw the infinity room a few years ago and it was so impressive. The Basquiat collection.......incredible. I will always visit there at least a few times a year.

Summer Li

I reserved the tix online one month before. Got there around 10:45am and waited in line to get into the museum. After getting in, you can reserve with the staffs to get in the infinity room.(waited about 20mins and they would send you a text) Amazing that this museum is still free.

Tamara Bayakir

Great place. Awesome arts works. Nice personal.

Tamara Durham

Stunning building with a wonderful art collection. Not the biggest museum, but a lovely display of artworks. Can't get over the beautiful architecture.

Susie Cisneros

The museum itself was great!!! However the staff that's supposed to stand around and watch the art, can get annoying! I asked one of these people a question about an exhibit as I was leaving and he replied with an attitude and said you can't walk around with your water bottle. I clearly was about to exit the building. They need more training with their customer service!

Marta S

We got our tickets online around 2 months in advance, as we knew lines were long if you want to purchase the tickets over there. We were there as soon as they opened and manage to visit it without huge crowds. Really enjoyed this museum and I highly recommend it whether you are into art or not.

E. Geno Speight

I visited the Soul of a Nation exhibition at the Broad and it was virtual potpourri of artistic diversity and expression in black art. The museum curators embodied subject matter obviously with care and sensitivity. I totally appreciated every aspect of the display. The building's architecture is artistic and modern in its own right. I have planned to revisit before I left. Where else can you see seminal works by Basquiat and Haring in the same room?

George Ayoub

Excellent collection of rich modern artists. Space is smaller than one would think but packs a punch with the collection. Entrance is free and easy to get into. Next door visit the wonderful Disney Concert Hall and MOCA.

Miriam Anders

Such a really fun experience going through the museum. We came on a rainy day and beware, lines are long so try getting tickets ahead of time. Try to reserve for the mirror room as early as possible. Staff didn't notify us but spaces fill up super quickly so as we were in line it closed and we were unable to do it.

Angelina Kelley

This free museum was a quick trip for us in LA. Reserved tickets ahead of time and walked right in during our scheduled time. Lots of contemporary art. The coolest piece was the large table and chairs that you could walk under.

iWoody Rose

When you have visitors in town The Broad is a nice place to introduce your visitors to LA. Free entry but parking can add up to $15-$20. The infinity room as I call it is super cool. The line to get in was 2 1/2 wait, just to spend 60 seconds to take pictures.

Elaine

Free to enter but it's best you make reservations for your arrival time to save yourself the wait. Also there is another display inside that requires reservations as well, so be sure to do that or you might not get to see it! Unfortunately we didn't know so we weren't able to see it ourselves. Many other art displays there though and quite a few you might recognize! They also have a little gift section on the main floor with some cute items for sale.

Birdee Le_Ray

Great place to go for free, the infinity mirrored room is the best but you only have 45 sec so prepare to wait for 2-3 hours and then be in and out.

Millie Chang

reserve tickets online... it's free! the exhibits are pretty neat and you can spend a few hours here. it's two floors... not the hugest museum, but definitely well curated and lots to see.

Cole Hendricks

Wow. Filler and Scofidio outdid themselves on this project. The wonderful blend of the veil and the vault creates a dynamic sanctuary in the city. The art is always quality and the exhibits are intriguing and constantly changing from their private collection.

许迦南

Do plan ahead. We got tickets online and went in smoothly without any lineup. There's a lot to see inside. The architecture is pretty cool too

Mr Indian Hair

The Broad was a great experience. It was my first time there. The Aesthetics are incredible. The building design, the courtyard with restaurant. All nice. The art collection was amazing and i really enjoyed the exhibit Black Power art 1963-83. Great collection and very informative and powerful visuals. I only briefly was able to see the artwork on the 3rd floor but i will definitely return soon to view. I hear Jazz nights are great so that will be my next visit.

The Soul of a Nation exhibit is worth the trip. The pieces were compelling and thought provoking. The regular exhibits are pretty awesome too. Be sure to arrive early to find ample time to park and enter. I'd recommend ordering tickets online ahead of time if you don't want to stand in line. You can always check Twitter for wait time info.

Andreas Aristidou

Definitely an above-average museum. Very creative works that often rotate so make sure to check it out often. Makes for a great weeekend excursion. The selection could be a little larger and some of the rooms have long lines. It is free but you’d better reserve your tickets way in advance to avoid disappointment or long waits.

Alejandra Coca

Lovely art and work of architecture. Free entrance and you can get your ticket online in under 3 minutes if u access their webpage. With the QR code I didn't have to wait any line. I would definitely recommend it if u are visiting LA or you are interested on modern art.

Kristen Knight

Amazing collection of art. The exhibits have a good flow which reduces excessive bottlenecking at certain pieces. Photo friendly (no flash) and free. We came on a Thursday morning with no reservation and got in right away, but weekends are insanely busy, so for that you definitely want to book ahead.

Marilyn Levy

Great Museum downtown Los Angeles with great art exhibitions. Loved "Soul Of A Nation, Art in the time of Black Power" it's very moving and truly special. I highly recommend it, and will probably go back.

Ian Jakeman

I'm not really into art galleries but I really enjoyed this one. Has some unique art that I'd never seen the like of before.

There were soooooo many art works and very nice. It was so clean and I saw so many things. There was also the most expensive modern art there for $1,000,000!!! It was really cool, even the bathrooms had me in awe. I went with my family and we all had a good time. It made up for how long it took us to get there (about and hour and a half!!)

Louise Suen

Amazing building, lovely staff who are willing to go above and beyond! We went to see Soul of a Nation, excellent exhibition, very well curated and there was a great atmosphere. Loved every moment of my visit

I brought the grandkids here with me this past Saturday and what a pleasure it was for all of us to take in some amazing art. I love being able to culture the kids and introduce them to things like this and to be able to show them an amazing museum like the Broad was incredible. We spent about 3 hours walking around and enjoying the installations spread around, they asked so many questions and truly enjoyed it. We weren't able to visit the light installation but it did not matter, we already considered it a great success. They have a great little store at the 1st floor on your way out and we all picked up a few items, 2 books, a poster, a shirt and some other little trinkets. So happy we have things like this in Los Angeles to enjoy and to bring joy.

Amie Nguyen

Changes exhibits a lot and nice experience. Wouldn’t spend longer than an hour and a half here.

Molly Kovel

Unpleasant experience. The art is good. The building is pretty. But the lines are ridiculous for what is ultimately a small collection. Don’t even think of trying the infinity room unless you love waiting in line. The parking lot is IMPOSSIBLE to use. Took us half an hour to figure out how to get the machines to let us leave. No attendants or help.

John Quach

It was interesting place. Good for family fun day. Parking is $15 and $25 for a day. Free admission.

Armin Seferagic

Order free tickets online. Very quick and you skip the line.

GG AA

Great contemporary art exhibits. If you can catch one of the free guided tours go for it .

Ciara Austin

It’s a great contemporary museum with incredible installations. Great for learning about new artists and interactive pieces as well. It’s best to make an online reservation for free on their website! Be prepared to take lots of pictures!

Kenneth Wright

A great place, innovative architecture, we didn't have a reservation, but were able to wait in line and got in pretty easily. You have to like modern art.

Amarjot Singh

Very interesting, creative, colorful, intriguing art displays. The venue is very well kept and is very lively. The staff and security is polite yet firm to the visitors to maintain discipline. Entrance is free however is controlled to manage the flow of visitors. Entrance pass can be obtained online which allows you to walk-in else you have to stand in line to get an on site pass. On site daily parking is available however there are plenty of parking options available, at better rate, at walking distance. Street parking is limited to only 2 hours.

Mario Sanchez

Free art. Great collection and an awesome building to house it all under a single roof on the middle of downtown LA. We went for the permanent collection and weren't disappointed. The Warhol pieces are always great to look at, and the staff are some of the best. There wasn't a single question that wasn't answered every time. Especially when they were art/assist related.

D Rogers

You need to get tickets in advance. Well worth the wait. My husband and I go to every new exhibit. Spectacular art and a wonderful experience. And an amazing gift shop.

Julius Frank

Very cool selection of pieces! Many varied artists represented, something for everyone. Very much worth the price of free.

jason wilson

Great place to spend a few hours and see some modern art. They generally change out the exhibits every few months. Go in early and sign up to visit the infinity mirror room.....its free just as the museum, but the list fills up very quickly and you have to wait a long time. When you finally get into the room you are given 45 seconds to experience, or take photos, etc.

randoom3

Definitely, get your tickets ahead of time. IF you drive, there is nearby parking about a block down the hill from the museum for $12 bucks (no limit). Although, if you get a ride -have them drop you off at the museum's corner (so as to avoid the steep climb, up a short hill!). Absolutely, fantastic treats for the eyes!

carlos chacon

Very good museum and best of all free but make sure you get your tickets in advance because there is a long wait if you dont have your tickets. Enjoy

Wiki Chibi

It was amazing! I recommend to anyone interested in art! It's a must see place. Please don't touch the art!!

Amrit Parida

Intriguing and elegant museum that's free! If you don't make a reservation ahead, the standby line can range from 20 mins to 2 hours, but it is definitely worth. Lots of great pieces to observe and get pictures with.

Franklin Servan-Schreiber

The most enjoyable collection of contemporary art in the USA, period. Beautiful space too. Truly worth a visit, then head to the food market two blocks away for an excellent LA gourmet experience.

Javier Quijivix

Contemporary museum with marvelouses expositions, entrance is free but you have to schedule the visit online and is highly recommended so you don't have to wait to much to go inside

Jayon Anthony

One of my favorite museums - we attended the fabulous exhibit SOUL OF A NATION in a word...INCREDIBLE

Steven Ruiz

Oh man, excellent museum. Free entry but reserve a spot if you can. Makes it 100x easier.

Rasel Debbarma

Large art needs space for viewing, and this museum allows room to stand back to view and well as get up close. The building itself is visually interesting, and the windows into the storage rooms over a glimpse into a museum one rarely gets. Call ahead to reserve tickets for time of entry, to avoid standing in long lines.

Dillon Swartz

Wonderful place . Excited to see some great works of art. Worth a visit.

Manny Perez

This is a great museum for the younger crowds. It is convenient close to many restaurants, parking is valet and it is free. You have to make reservations ahead of time.

Judie Johnson

It was a really good experience. The Soul of the Nation exhibit was breathe taking / spoke to my spirit / my soul.

Rick Shrute

Finally, a large museum with large exhibition space. This place is generally crawling with people, but I rarely if ever felt crowded during my Saturday afternoon visit. I have nothing to complain about honestly. Buying tickets online for the Soul of A Nation exhibit was a breeze, entering the museum with pre purchased was also a breeze. I was impressed with the visiting exhibit, Soul of a Nation, and the museum's collection on the upper floor. Circulating through the museum and the different levels was nice. I love the architectural roof lighting on the upper floor. This museum is free for general collection and they charge for the visiting exhibits

Nickira King

This place is great for a friends in town visit or occasional gloomy weekend activity. It does get crowded but it’s not too bad. Definitely do online tickets ahead and go in early to get on a standby line for the Mirror room. Expect to spend all day here.

Philip Koch

I was the last person to get in the door on a Sunday evening. What a phenomenal building! I work at the metropolitan Museum of art. And this building and the artwork is stunning.

Daniel G

Great Museum that has some unique displays. The mirror exhibit is one of the best I've ever been to.

Christopher Todd

Stunning collection of large scale contemporary art. Lots of famous peices that are well known in pop culture as well as beautiful and relavent lesser known ones. The special exhibitions they have seem super cool and the shop has lots of good art books.

Jay Ammon

The Broad is a relatively hip and trendy place to visit; I believe that the entry fee is complimentary... at least it used to be free. They have rotating exhibits here of modern artists' work, as well as series exhibitions.

Megan

The museum is free, but you can reserve tickets ahead of time to avoid the line. The art itself is great, and the exhibitions are constantly changing, but I feel like since it’s such a huge tourist attraction it loses some of its appeal as there are certain time limits and wait times for different attractions like the mirror room, and you only get 45 seconds to appreciate it.
