You will be able to see all the feddbacks of real people like you who bought the services of The Annenberg Space for Photography (Museum) in the state of California.
As of day the firm receives a rating of 4.7 over 5 and this rating was based on 850 reviews.
You may have noticed that it has an average rating is basically the highest, and it is based on a very large number of opinions, so we may conclude that the rating is quite accurate. If people have bothered to leave their opinion when they've done well with the service, it works.
You know that we do not usually bother to write scores when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Museum belongs to the category of Museum.
We visited the Annenberg Museum of Photography to view the Hip Hop exhibit and found the museum to be small and quaint. The exhibit was amazing and displayed a piece of recent American history that brought together different people and ages. Some of the photographs could have used better lighting and might have needed to be repositioned. Staff at the front desk were very patron friendly.
Great exhibition on Hip Hop.
Lovely space with welcome staff and high quality exhibits. It's free to get in, but the space is small so don't plan to spend more than an hour there.
The Annenberg Space for Photography is in a bit of a strange location, with no fast way to travel there from Hollywood, where I was staying. Hence, I took an Uber, which cost around $15-$20. Despite being in a remote location from the classic tourist spots, the ‘lunch-break area,’ is quite nice and very quiet during work hours, making it a nice place to relax. There are also opportunities to take photos of your own with skyscrapers, etc. The museum itself is quite small, however, the space is used very wisely with various exhibits on show at different times. I went during the new year period and they had a wildlife exhibit, which had pictures of different wildlife from around the world. A 15 (or so) minute clip ran in the area in the middle of the museum, which was nice as well. What is shown depends on the exhibit that is showing during that time. Admission is free and there is free WiFi. Overall, I would say that this is a nice place to drop in and visit, however, check what exhibit is showing as many people complain about viewing an exhibit that doesn’t interest them. Visit around 11-11:30am (they open at 11) and then walk to Westfield Century City around lunch time. Follow the office workers - most of them seemed to head that way for their breaks.
Great venue, very fun atmosphere, friendly people.
A great place to see world class photography and Demi Moore.
One of the best exhibits I have experienced this year. I was so satisfied when I left L.A. because I now have this memory of this wonderfully put together exhibition.
I loved the contact high exhibit, it’s a very dope gallery
Very cool atmosphere!
Exiting and very stimulating. Love the Animal Arc of National Geographics. Masterpiece
This place is a must visit if in LA. Its gorgeous, the exhibitions are out of this world and the outside area is just perfect to mull over all the information that one gathers inside! Go here!
Photoville LA was awesome. Great creativity and a beautiful day.
Contact High exhibit of hip hop photos (contact sheets) was excellent.
Annenberg Space for Photography presents Photoville LA (April 26-28 & May 2-5, 2019) Great display of artwork and they had a visual history of hip-hop called Contact High (April 26-August 18). I highly recommend this event and location for captivating pictures.
Incredible! What an amazing display of wildlife. It will help us all to be inspired to help preserve these endangered animals.
This Xzibit Rock.! It was the bomb I have not been to another exhibit that I enjoy as much as I enjoyed this one. And the museum but just outstanding
Small place but with beautiful exhibitions and friendly people, free entrance and partial parking validation. Right next to it there is an amazing outdoor space to have some lunch and just relax. Love the location of the place in the heart of Century City.
Saw "Contact High" exhibit. Small, but detailed and engrossing.
Went to see the Contact High exhibit of iconic hip hop photographs. The short documentary that plays near the front desk is a great intro and I'd suggest viewing that before stepping through the halls of photos. Another doc relates the behind-the-scenes action of "A Great Day in Hip Hop" photo with 177 legends of hip hop shot in Harlem by Gordon Parks. Many of the photos themselves are familiar from magazines, but still take on new life when clustered by photographer rather than era or group. Great for music fans and photog fans a like. The space itself is laid out well so that even the large numbers of ppl moving through the halls never collided or blocked each other. It doesn't seem that big and yet I was surprised by how much there was to see.
Amazing exihibition about photography in Hip hop culture, interactive space and good selection of photographs
The current exhibit of animal photography is beautiful and important. You can see this entire exhibit in one to one and a half hours.
The Annenbergs really deserve a public award for providing the public with this exceptional and totally free venue. Goodness at work!
I’ve been to the Annenberg space for photography at least 20 times over the last five years. This is a premier place for photographs and for learning about whatever the subject matter is at the time of the exhibit. It’s free for the lectures and to go into the museum so that’s a nice thing$ At the present time does an exhibit about animals, see live and conservation. It’s definitely worth checking this place out but definitely call before you come down here as sometimes they may be closed between exhibits. The parking is at a major discount when you come here but make sure you bring your ticket up to the counter to be validated.
Nice way to spend a couple of hours.
Small but excellently curated photo exhibits that rotate every few months. Parking is on site and validated
The tours are the best! Whoever puts them together should get a raise! Amazing!
Squeezing in on the last day of an installation may not be the best way to experience a space for the first time, but that was our situation. We made it in to see the Photographic Ark and in total we had a good experience. The fact that they do this and charge nothing to the public (short of parking, but even that is heavily discounted with validation) is commendable and worth an extra star in the rating. We were surprised that the space was as small as it was, so there were narrow spaces with the work displayed throughout. The space was at capacity and that made truly taking in the work very difficult. It's unfortunate as well in that the limited amount of space had the unfortunate effect of making this truly huge project seem small. But overall it was worth the visit and I was glad were able to see this work, even if it wasn't in an ideal situation. It's also worth noting the staff was friendly and accommodating.
Love the presentation of art through photos
Beautiful hidden gem in plain sight. Love.
It's easy to get around
Consistently great exhibitions, and a must for photography fans. The only negative is the rather drab and inhospitable surrounds.
I had an absolutely incredible experience here viewing the Contact High exhibit.
Amazing gallery with contemporary exhibits. Typically free
Beautiful building with a great location, Contact High was especially thoughtful.
Contact High - the photos of hip hop
So we have been twice this year for both the animal exhibition and the hip hop and both were popular with our students. It’s free to go but you have to contribute to the parking if you want to stay in the park area for a picnic. I like it because in the week the students get to see all the city staff and know they have something to aim for if they want to be investment banker, lawyers etc. Very child friendly at the museum too.
Excellent Exhibition - 'Contact High'. Especially liked the documentary that went along with the hip hop stills and contact sheets by Joseph Patel and his team. Was just a lovely afternoon. Can't believe I hadn't heard of it sooner. It's free! And parking below the building and then you go up the escalators to reach the museum.
Amazing exhibit "Contact High - A Visual History of Hip Hop" parking was a breeze and they validated (my cost: $1.50) The staff was friendly... environment was very clean and welcoming. I look forward to catching other upcoming events there.
Small and intimate. I saw the 'Contact 'High' exhibit there. It was awesome. Definitely worth the trip. They validate parking there so don't forget to do that.
'Contact High: A Visual History of Hip Hop' was - appropriately - pretty dope. It was my first time seeing an exhibit at the Annenberg and won't be my last. (Admission was free, parking was cheap & easy, the the staff was friendly & helpful.)
I loved collection at the Contact High Exhibit! I especially loved the video with never before seen commentary by some of the greatest Legends. I would have preferred if the hallways weren't so tight, but all together a wonderful exhibit. I wish it were a permanent exhibit.
Cool place. There is a parking garage. It has a cool vibe. Check the website before you go to check what days they are open and when they close. It's a great place to take people to see art who think that they don't like art.
Oh man. Contact High is such a rad exhibit. My friends and I were lucky enough to get a tour and get the background on what was happening during the photo shoots, why they were chosen and other little details. It was kind of sad at time because so many greats are now gone. Aaliyah, Biggie, Tupac, Mac Miller... glad they had these beautiful shots though.
Amazing place. Not to crowded. Beautiful exhibition. Good Cuban cafe.
Great place to visit and hang out. While in the area.
LA
They always have interesting exhibits here, free to the public, and parking is easy and only a dollar to park all day!
Really cool space, parking can be complicated w the construction of Constellation but figure it out & uber - it's worth a visit!
If you enjoy photography, be sure to visit. Exhibitions change every few months.
The hip hop photography exhibit is pretty fun. Definitely try to catch the documentary that plays in the central room, it puts things in context quite nicely.
Visited on the last weekend of PhotoVillage and loved it! Hedged by skyscrapers, this little gem, along with its beautiful landscape, is a must-visit for all photography enthusiasts.
Amazing space. And beautiful expo about Hip Hop history so worth it.
Went to "Contact High" Hip Hop photo exhibition. Good video presentation and nice small space. Pleasant and friendly staff.
Free!!! Hard to find. Garage has high level security, they search the trunk before letting cars in. No wonder given the list of offices occupying the building above the garage.
I went recently to see Contact High: A Visual History of Hip Hop and it was so educational. I loved seeing the progression of hip hop through each artist/photographer/videographer’s eye and vision. It was amazing to see the people who helped define hip hop. The Annenberg Space for Photography is HUGE and I’ve only experienced a small portion of it, but from whathave seen so far, it’s an incredible place. I’ll be happy to visit again.
Wow. One of best Photography artwork Show. A must See for everyone in your Family and Love
Wonderful free activity that will help you escape and enjoy images from the lens. Exhibit always changes. They usually have some events in the evening based on the exhibit. Parking is $1.50 with validation. Enjoy
Venue set with a dope backdrop. Cheap parking.
Art museum classy and contemporary all free .. except parking but not to bad
We visited the Annenberg Space for Photography to see an exhibit of extraordinary animal photography by National Geographic photographer Joel Sartore entitled Photo Ark. Admission was free and it would have been worth a visit even with a normal admission fee. The building and it's surrounding buildings are examples of beautiful 21st century architecture.
They have some truly amazing exhibits at this place. The most recent one I saw there was The Ark exhibit which was both beautiful and inspiring. It'll be there until January 2019. When your done there's a lovely courtyard/park area where you can just be zen.
Great space. Was here for the "Contact High" exhibit. Stellar installation. Gracious staff.
An amazing space for photography and not easily accessible for anyone who lives in the hood
Great chance to see really neat pictures for the 90s start of hip hop / rap thru August 25th 2019 we went on the last day the staff was very nice and professional there was a great video to watch about information and there was basically really cool rare stuff which you could take pictures of it was free to get in and they even validate parking to get it down to $1.50 if you go to their website they have all the information you can imagine on parking whether you’re handicapped in a car on a motorcycle walking whatever it is they have information for you very well laid out definitely recommend to go there if there’s an exhibit that you’re interested in
Awesome hip hop photo exhibit...
Wonderful hip hop visual exhibit and narrated film. Good space and people!
Wonderful exhibit. Completely free. You will find it in the courtyard of these huge glass and steel buildings so don't let that confuse you!
Contact High is an amazing exhibit. The photos and contact sheets are moving and insightful. The short documentary is only about 30 minutes long and worth watching.
The outdoor space is a relaxing retreat on weekends
This place is always amazing. Admission is always free! Parking when validated and under a 3hr visit (usually plenty of time for the museum visit) is amazingly cheap. We recently went to "Not an Ostrich" and I can't say enough about the content and the documentary, however while the screens for documentary are amazing quality wise, the TV's used for much of this exhibit at the gallery really are too bright and contrasty and remove much of the nuance seen in the printed reproductions hanging nearby. I'd rather the museum focus more on better lighting and the display of accurate reproductions vs the equivalence of me looking up photos and viewing on my computer monitor...but don't let this complaint deter you! I make it a point to regularly visit this gem of a museum and often!
This place is awesome!!!The park is super cheap. Great place for a date. The Hip Hop exhibits are more than worth it.
Fantastic exhibit of endangered species. Located within a modern office building enclosure which gives it a futuristic setting.
Never knew this place existed. Had an amazing experience!
The ASP is a very small museum but with phenomenal exhibits. The museum is located at Century City neighborhood by 2000 Ave of the Stars bldg. Admission is always free. Public parking is available around the area. We went to see the Ark exhibit. It was truly amazing and quite an experience seeing those endangered animal species photographed. Staff are helpful and professional. Overall, I highly recommend this museum.
Wonderful place to explore! Will return frequently.
The gallery space has been reduced since it first opened. Exhibits are always fascinating but not too extensive (in numbers due to space limitations) and the galley can be crowded. Still for $1.50 weekend parking and free admission, well worth the visit.
Saw a wonderful exhibit here a while back about the children of the ultra rich. Generation Wealth, I think. After finishing up with that we checked out the park area within the center of the premises which was staggeringly beautiful.
Kinda small space with poor street access set amid shiny, towering edifices to Hollywood's extremely wealthy. DO NOT FORGET TO HAVE PARKING VALIDATED because it's $4.50 per 12 minutes otherwise in the neighboring building. All that said, we saw a beautiful exhibit of Joel Sartore's Photo Ark project - a little ironic in light of the surrounding excess.
Went on a Saturday had to wait a little bit in line but it was all good what an experience it was awesome
A must see to learn about many sides of LA. Experience the hip hop exhibit and walk around other displays in this beautiful place.
If you like music this is a must see.
Wine has become vert popular these days great place big selection
Currently, there is an awesome exhibition on Hip Hop culture until August. Entrance is free and the movie is very informative! Plus, it was not crowded. Definitely recommended.
Amazing space. Incredible visuals.
Went to see the hip hop exhibit and thoroughly enjoyed the beauty of the surroundings of outside and inside.... What a great venue
No matter how many times I visit, the location is always breathtaking.
We went to see Contact High, the exhibit on hip hop. It was really tastefully done.
Very very big place. I love their variety of exhibits too.
Great place. Saw "Not an Ostrich" exhibition. It's located in a great place and served free drinks and chips. Fun time seeing historic American photos.
Super cool art and a lovely picnic area
If you are looking for a talented, creative, & open photographer....The Annenberg Space for Photography is your guy! His work speaks for itself: beautiful shots & perfect moments captured. He was unobtrusive to guests and very open to our thoughts regarding our photos. He is professional, responsive, and truly talented. I highly recommend his services on every level! Loved loved loved our photos.
Courteous staff and informative Hip Hop exhibit.
This was so much more than I expected. They covered a wide array of photographers and their contributions. They even have a Story Corp booth here so you can put a little history of your own in the Library of Congress!
fantastic exibition.
Always nice photos
Go see the Contact High exhibit before it finally closes. The pictures are riveting and the video explaining their backstory is very informative. There's a lot of construction happening so plan to leave early (and drive around a lot). Parking is validated.
Great little gallery. You will find it in the courtyard of these huge glass and steel buildings so don't let that confuse you!
Lovely museum in the heart of Century City
Annenberg space for photography is the bomb! Beautiful exhibit called the photo ark one mans quest to document the worlds animals. Both beautiful and riveting
the place offers an amazing experience. go during Sunday, they have a free guided tours at 3pm. that's the only time they offer the tour
The greatest inexpensive outing for all in LA.
The day I went there was a photo gallery from America's Library of Congress. They had an early photograph of Abraham Lincoln before he wore a beard and a recently found early portrait of Harriet Tubman. The museum was not very big but the perfect size for me. Admittance was free. There is a small theater in the center of the building were we enjoyed a video presentation. The only thing I would like to see them change would be to make the text on the walls next to the photographs larger. The print was small and people stood directly in front of it. This took people too long to read and it caused the line to back up.
free to visit, parking $$ (take a bus to Avenue of the Stars & Santa M). I went for Contact High, a visual history of hip hop, which plays until 18 August 2019. features a 30 minute video and awesome still photos
Wonderful space. Kind humans. Contact High exhibit is a powerful body and display of work without distraction.
The Hip-Hop Exhibit was very informative.
A wonderful venue to display various talented photographers. Currently an absolutely beautiful photographic exhibit of endangered species, taken by a well-renowned National Geographic photographer.
I love the layout of the museum. The exhibit that I came to see was amazing
amazing expierence! went to Anneville photography event and had great insight of photojournalism and the culture of LA. thanks to Nat and the event hosts for bringing NY to LA
This is a really great place which is a gallery/museum and a totally worthwhile destination. It's a little tricky finding it, but you'll be happy you did. Every exhibit I've seen there has been excellent. On top of all this complimenting, it's free admission. A real Los Angeles gift to the people.
We were there for the Photo Ark exhibition. Great show but a little small.
Absolutely breathtaking & enlightening. The staff is so nice, knowledgeable, & respectful. Definitely a must visit if you are a hip-hop fan, art lover, photography love, or looking for something to do on LA. Parking is very cheap, plentiful, and easy to access the gallery. The gift shop is pricy but you can find something for your price point.
This is a great space. Only problem is that it seems that if you watch the video presentation you have seen the images that are in the gallery. Every show I have seen is this way.
This is a great small space that shows different forms of art. The parking is good there is a large parking structure below the venue. The parking is validated at the venue. The space is small but they use the area they have well and even have a small gift shop tailored to the current works on display. The staff was helpful and friendly.
Love this place. A little tricky to get to, but if you go mid day it's not too bad. And the free entrance is a def plus.
Love the Annenberg! Photoville was a little sparce...I guess I expected more...but inside...amazing!
Great high end space.
So much fun! I look forward to more exhibitions
love this place, they always have amazing shows and always for free!
Beautiful, peaceful location. Many different exhibits throughout the year. Easily accessible bit still tucked away. Green lawns and surrounded by tall buildings. Def a pleasant place to visit.
Awesome museum. Came here 2 separate times. Both times were amazing. The first time some larger event must have been going on as the entire court yard was packed with visitors and displays and exhibits and food trucks. Lots of amazing artists and art deeply portraying current and past history and issues. Second visit was into the smaller portion of the actual museum. The exhibit was based around 90's Hip Hop and couldnt have had a better time.
Wonderful exhibit. Completely free. I was there for the photo ark which was photographs of endangered/extinct species by national geographic. Needs to say it was inspiring.
Interesting exhibit on Hip-Hop album cover photography. For free!!!
Had the best time ever! So informative and inspirational. Filled with classic photos and there's even a 15 minute video talking about the Golden Age of Hip-Hop (1988 to 1998). The event ends in August so make sure you check it out!
You must go! I wasn’t sure what to expect when I visited the exhibition on selections from the national archives having never been before and reading/hearing so much about the exhibit made me nervous for a letdown. It was amazing! The building itself is an architectural beauty. If you like cityscapes and clean design you’ll be in heaven! The space itself was much smaller than I imagined after seeing it on TV “it’s all about shooting those angles lol” but they couldn’t have done a better job with it making you feel like you’re working your way through a much larger space! The staff is amazing! Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, you can tell that everyone there has a personal connection and love for what they do! Also, think about enjoying a picnic lunch in the large open green belt that is in the center of the buildings. Artfully designed with skill and precision I felt like I was in a lush garden protected by these 30 story steel and glass guardians!
The hip hop photography showcase was
Great experience, and free! We went to see the Hip-hop through photography exhibition, which was amazing. Interesting stuff in a beautiful place. And it's not too crowded-go for it!
Political, humane and human. True art. Art in context that helps make sense of and transforms life.
Excellent space. Amazing exhibits. Great use of containers. More photo vendors would have been good. And next time have a place with coffee!!☕☕
