Great place.. got there not long before closing. Nice guy gave me a discount on my ticket. After I was willing to pay regular price for limited short visit. Took my grandson who loves all things car.. not the movie(he do love movie) but cars period. He's 2 years old and anything car is his jam. So he had great Papa(I'm Papa) time hanging out. We rushed a lil bit but saw enough to enjoy it very much. They actually had lifesize replicas of Cars from Cars movie. Along with ones from movies I grew up with and lots in between. So covered the bases for us both. Cool spot really enjoyed.

Amazing, fabulous cars with brilliant colors in looking-glass paint. Original movie cars/bikes, & some trucks, plus memorabilia. Interactive activities for kids of all ages :) Not just a guy place. Reasonable prices, free ample parking.

Michael Hunter

A really great experience if you love automotive history or just cars in general. They have their own parking in site so you shouldn't have any problems finding a spot close to the museum. There is a lot to see here so you definitely don't want to miss this. Your ticket is good the day so if you want to get a bite to eat half way through you should be able to do that. There are plenty of great places to eat and even a restaurant inside the museum itself.

Michael Magaha

A chicagoan passing through LA, the molded aluminum exterior caught my eye so I grabbed my friend and took a tour. If you are at all interested in cars (or TV/movies they have LOTS of iconic cars in their collection) GO. GO NOW. Take the guided tour in the basement vault. It's $25 a person but you will see literal automotive treasures (like the first Ferrari EVER made) that made my friend and I jump for joy. There are 3 other floors and a restaurant a good all day affair. So if you need a birthday present/ Father's or Mother's Day present/ want to practice photography /or just are a total gear head this is perfect. Also general admission is 16 dollars (included if you take the vault tour) and they have 20 dollar parking, which will be waived if you buy $75 worth of merch, and discounted if you eat at the restaraunt. BRING A CAMERA YOU'LL NEED IT =D!

Paul Pearson

A very relaxing place to spend the day for auto enthusiasts. I spent 6 hours enjoying the exhibits, which I'm told change from time to time. So you can go next year and the collection will more than likely be different. Check online for prices and displays.

Kaitlyn Tavernelli

Really nice car museum, clean and spacious. Didn't go down to the vault but had a lot of nice cars to look at for general admission price. A fun, inexpensive, and easy thing to do in LA. Can make a long or short visit of it depending on what you want to see.

Manny Francisco

Great place to visit for the family. Think about getting tickets to the vault (online) if you want to see more cars. The Grove is close by if you want to do some shopping or find a nice place to eat.

claudia woods

I love everything about this place. Especially the vault. Everyone must experience it.

Ingamon Jamikorn

Tons of vintage cars and other cool/famous cars. Very exciting!!

Supercars of SoCal

The BEST automotive museum in ALL of Southern California! I also recommend the Vault Tour (extended), there are some automotive icons down there!!! Unfortunately, you aren't allowed to take pictures in the Vault, but you will remember it for the rest of your life!!!

Sindee Sukz

Very nice lots of automotive history . Classic cars , and bikes . The exploded audi in the lobby is like a modern sculpture. Spend the extra money to tour the "vault" very interesting to see one of a kind and rare autos such as Ferrari serial 1.

Andrew Byers

Great variety of exhibits including special themes that change over time (check the website to see what is currently on display). The Vault tour is exceptional (extra $25/person) if you want a guided tour of an exclusive collection, but there is plenty in the regular (non-vault) exhibit to spend several hours exploring. Parking is convenient, $16 or free if you buy $75 worth of merch in the gift shop.

Hector Contreras

We finally decided to get the Vault tour after all of this years. Jeff our tour guide was a kinda rude to my daughter. Asking her before the tour if she could stay quiet, and that the tour was long and that she better embrace it and will not be fun at all for her. Also Jeff our tour guide was kinda racist to his coworker saying things like "of course you like Asian cars you are Asian" He had tons of knowledge and fun facts about the cars, but he really made us feel uncomfortable and not welcome based on what he told my little daughter at the beginning. Sad experience, would love to do it again but definitely not with this guy Jeff.

Vrushali Patil

Amazing museum if you're a car fan! Can easily spend a couple of hours here.

Bill Fischer

Found this to be perfect for the teenage boys with us. I also enjoyed all the movie props. So even though I am not really into cars,; seeing all those cars from old movies and TV shows made this a wonderful visit for everyone.

Tony Galindo

Amazing place! The collection on the tour is definitely worth the extra cash! As a gear head, i was definitely able to enjoy and appreciate the vehicles they had, some that most will not see in their lifetime!

sydney wen

Worth the visit. Even if you're not a car nut, the museum has plenty of historical cars that will grab your attention. Parking is $16 on wknds and the vault tour is an additional $25 for 90 minutes and definitely worth it as you'll see cars that are so rare, it's worth the price of admission

D S

My favorite place in LA. It's a must for any car enthusiast. Tons of history, not just for cars but American life. Great motorcycles, too. A+

Romina Hogue

This place was a surprisingly awesome visit! So many vehicles and motorcycles from today and time past! Great education on who made, how made, why made, how many made....as well as old AAA info, maps, and greet tidbits. Do not bring a backpack, as the rules don't allow. They have little lockers so consolidate and keep important things with you. They give you a little gift bag sized bag to carry things in. It was a great time. I'll definitely go back.

Jerome L Cowan

To walk through the museum and learn the history not only of the cars but of the people that they belong to is simply fun. The guides are knowledgeable and nice I have a great time.

Roberto Garretson

Always awesome. Exhibits change regularly. Be sure the schedule a few hours to really soak it in.

Robert Eliz

Amazing VIP C 8 2020 Stingray Event. Worth the price to see automotive history

Andy Loyd

Flew to LA from Houston to see the Jessi Combs Exhibit and to support her Foundation at the Petersen Museum. Very touching tribute....

Michael Schwartz

Fantastic collection of rare and unique cars from movies and TV to racing. Nicely done!

Bethany Long

Some great cars from older movies and some newer cars and race cars. I’m not a big car nerd but I still found it interesting to kill some time. Unfortunately to see some of the older cars you have to pay $20 extra to take the tour. A must go for car lovers.

Alexander Canthan

Super cool place even if you only have a mild interest in cars and their history.

Nikolay Zhdanov

This museum doesn’t know any better way to control the entrance than requesting visitors to put paper stickers with a clue on their clothes. Yes, they don’t know anything about tickets or other ways of identification. Why don’t they put stamps on visitors faces, that would be even easier. Further, seems that their reception staff and security are hired from detention institutions. I’ve never seen so rude and offending behavior from museum staff. Absolute shame.

Jim Gard

Incredible collection of vehicles from motion pictures - great displays, interactive displays, and a Lower Level vault filled with classics and one-of-a-kind cars. A beautiful museum!

Kenneth De Pablo

This is an amazing museum in the heart of Los Angeles. This place has multi million dollar vehicles on display. Everything from modern day hyper cars to old million dollar classics. The building itself is beautiful with a very modern exterior. You cannot miss this place when driving by. The staff here is all very knowledgeable. My kids love coming here and I keep telling myself I will get a yearly pass because this place is just that good.

Mitch Bloomquist

Great selection of unique and rare cars. Highly recommend the vault tour.

K P

Attention ALL car enthusiasts or movie buffs that like cars from movies or old cars in general, should go to this museum. It was an awesome experience. The extra money you pay for a 90 minute vault tour is also nice to see rare and secret cars/bikes/wagons/trucks.

saif alqubaisi

A good place to take kids to see the history of cars .. they have a nice place for kids hang around and be creative

Happy H

I love this auto museum which is the best in the west coast. There are three floors showing dozens of vehicles. Most of them are changing year by year, so make sure you check their website and see what is showing. The parking is $16 now, and each ticket is 16. You can stand very close to many dream cars, take photos. Definitely will come back soon!

Maciej Majewski

More interesting than Universal Studios and definitely less expensive. Must to go for fans of fast cars and special cars from the movies.

Devon Michael

Huge variety of important and interesting automotive artifacts and automobiles. With a gallery spanning more than 3 stories and cars from from all walks of life it's not easy to breeze through here. Take some time and read about the history of these cars and car culture and you won't be disappointed. There are interactive exhibits for children to entertain and captivate all members of the family. Even if you aren't a gearhead this museum is still an interesting stop.

AnnMarie Jones

A great way to spend a few hours... if you are a gear head, or know one this is the place for you. They had free wheelchairs that made it possible for my disabled mom to enjoy. We did the 2 hour vault tour. This was worth the 30 dollars a person. Our guide Anne was so knowledgeable she kept our whole group interested the whole time. When we got to the regular museum I realized not a place for children, and how many amazing cars there are in the world.

Markpaul Chohan

Amazing Amazing place, it’s for car lovers and non car lovers. The museum is very well put together and organized. The staff go above and beyond at helping folk and a delight to talk too. The vault tour is a must, the cars and stories you see and listen to breath taking.

TxcreeperKLR .

Great showcase of cars and a clean and cold area to enjoy seeing classic cars. Wide variety of cars from today, past, and movies. Employees however were somewhat rude and told us to not "lean" next to the cars. Had a great time but needs some work. I recommend coming here if you are in the Beverly Hills area.

Yolanda sivitos

Highly disappointing experience I had yesterday. If I could give 0 points I would. The staff was highly unprofessional I was not told when I bought my tickets that the 1st while floor would be closed. Had I been told i world not have spent $32 on admission and $16 on parking. What was available to see was not worth the time and money. Upon exiting the exhibit the lady at the front desk advised me that she could provide me with a refund or a discount on admission once the first floor exhibit opens. I asked to speak to a manager but was told there was no manager on sight. I asked for the managers name and number which she refused to provide me with. I left my name and number with the security who assured me Bobby Jimenez would give me a courtesy call. It’s been 2 days and I never heard from anyone. Unprofessional to say the least.

David Julian

A friend took me here, and it was my first car museum. I really enjoyed it and saw some really cool cars. It's a cool place and I would recommend it for anyone, old or young.

Reed Turner

All the automobiles and motorcycles were fantastic. Take the Vault tour as you get a much better narrative about lots of cars not 9n public display!!

colton clark

Great place to see old automobiles and have a nice lunch too.

Kathleen OShea

The vault tour was fantastic. Our guide Ryan was so well versed in the car history. One can tell his love for the job and cars are his passion! Highly recommend this museum!

Nicholas Escalante

Beautiful cars. Absolutely breathtaking inventory of cars. The staff is super friendly and the Vault Tour is so incredible.

Marti Sterin

I only discovered this jewel after going to LACMA to find everything I wanted to see closed for construction. I wish that I had started here. I'm not a car person but I was still there at closing. I never purchase tours, but this was the highlight. If I had had the time, I might have gone twice because the guide was so knowledgeable I needed a second time to digest all of the information. I got back to the hotel and told everyone at my convention that I ran into to go even if they were not a fan of cars.

Ray Osterberg

Fabulous collection. If you’re interested in automotive stuff it’s a not to miss.

b2rian lopez

One of my favorite museums in the city! Even if you're like me, and you're not much of a car guy, the artifacts they've got in there really help you appreciate the historical significance of them. Their panels/screenings are really great too! i recommend this place to anyone who's into cars, into art & design, or interested in Southern California culture.

kenguva monica

Really good collection of cars. We spent couple of hours to escape from heat but turned out to be a great experience. Parking space is 16$ right at the museum.

scott clark

The Petersen Automotive Museum Is Beautiful. The cars Are amazing the docents are friendly and knowledgeable.

et yoshi

Fairly large selection of a variety of cars on 3 floors. Also a few motorcycles were on display in a separate section. Have to pay extra to tour the cars stored in the Vault.

Laurie Eagleson

Fantastic facility and experience. Easy on-site parking, and free parking in surrounding hood to the south and east. Quick and efficient ticketing. Porsche exhibit, during our visit, which was remarkable!!!! Excellent information posted with each vehicle- very informative. Free cellphone charging stations on every floor was a really nice touch. The interactive "children's room" on the second floor provided a fun break - even for Big Kids

Nina Uhernik

Great space to visit. A lot of cars, old and new. I especialy liked movie presentation. Museum is divided in 3 floors. Each one special for it own

Tony Wu

Great for boys, new and interesting cars every year or so. Too bad no touch, some cars it's so tempting to touch and sit in them but can't. Continues self restraint needed. Take about two hours.

Camilla Neunhoffer

Great place! There are more cars here than you can imagine, some restored and some left in original condition. The guided basement tour is separate but well worth the extra money if you are a true car enthusiast.

Ryan Stone

The Peterson Automotive Museum has an awesome collection that rotates every 6 weeks, giving a great experience that is different every time. The staff is well informed and the tours are wonderful. The 2015 renovation makes the experience wonderful, with the idea of starting at the top of the museum and working your way down. Only descending stairs, not climbing! I enjoy this museum every time I go as there is always something different!

Declan Crego

If you're interested in cars this is a MUST STOP. They have hundreds of amazing vehicles on floor displays and even more in the special vault tour. Honestly, you won't see this many hot rides anywhere else for the price they charge. If you want to see the sights in LA, this is one you shouldn't miss.

Slade Neeley

Really enjoyable. We went because one of sons is a car aficionado of cars. We took the vault tour with Jeff and it made the visit. So much history and stories with the cars. I would go back again to do the vault tour and I am no car aficionado.

Joel Scarbez

Nice museum. The best cars though are in the "vault" garage shown by tour only and no photos allowed. Worth taking the tour. Amazing collection

dennis s

Amazing place if you like cars check this place out! Great display s

Greg Davis

Took my 88 year old Dad and 68 year old Brother in time to grab the 1:45 Vault tour in the basement. Too many unbelievable cars to see in 75 minutes, wished we spent the extra $7 to take the 120 minute extended tour. We have visited once before and almost all cars were rearranged or replaced with something just as cool. We spent almost 5 hours on all 4 floors and the old farts (me included, I'm 70) were dragging my the end. Will Definitely take that adventure again.

Four J Events Club

Very good place to learn. Is good, but parking is to much no elevator. Hello we have kids with stroller.

John Flottman

I’ve been here 3 times and taken the Vault tour every time. Always a learning experience. The Bugatti exhibit was insane..sad I missed Porsche. Not really into the movie cars but this last visit was still a lot of fun. Jeff is the best Vault guide.

Jay Spence

Great place for car enthusiasts to check out. I assure you that you won't be disappointed. Racecars, concepts, auto history, lowriders, exotics, and cars from movies, TV and video games, there's a bit of everything. I'm definitely trying the vault tour next time.

Mat Goebel

Really cool place. I came here during the SciFi TV and film exhibit. Everything was really well done. Excellent selection of things to see. You can breeze through in a few hours, but you really could spend all day here. Did not do the vault because of the price. Also did not try the restaurant, but it smelled good!

ryan pomeroy

What a great place. I reccommend doing the extended vault tour in the basement garage. Way cool old famous expensive fast beautiful historic cars ever made. Did I say expensive cars. 50 million dollars in cars down there. No photos allowed.

Jean Luc Brincourt

It was pretty cool with a special condition (10 people) visit of the Garage Vault where i saw incredible cars with a pretty good narative dispensed by a talented and passionated guide. Thank you for thus experience.

Rob Jones

An excellent way to spend most of a day. Stunning exhibits. Great tour could be three hours long. Guide Ryan was very knowledgable. We left a couple 100+ in the shop and the Dragon lunch we had was divine. What more can i say other than thank you. Will tell my countrymen in NZ about you.

Douglas Tavenner

Great car museum. Some special cars used in the movies. Must take the "Vault Tour".

Jaye Bell

This place was so cool. I'm not a car person and went with some friends. I was surprised and had a great time. Loved seeing all the cars from movies I grew up with!

Alex B

This was one of the coolest car museum's I've ever been to. So many iconic autos from the movies, including my all-time favorite, the time machine as well as some really unique and cool cars in their own right. Loved this place

Cooled Collective

The Petersen is just an awesome place to visit if you are an automotive junkie. Even if you have been there before, you should visit a few times a year because they change up the space often enough where it never gets boring. On top of that, they have all sorts of meet ups on the weekends so no matter what brand of cars you are into, you will find something that fits your bill. Just recently they ended the Porsche Effect but don't fret, they have the new Hollywood Dream Machines coming in and it looks epic! Go check it out!

Luis Meza

The museum is an absolute pleasure to visit, from the vehicles on display in the conveniently situated parking establishment, to the amazing vehicles on display inside curated and aptly organized to balance across cinematic, historical, race, and cultural enthusiasts. We're a family of four, and the children absolutely especially loved the displays they recognized ( Iron Man vehicles, Black panther, lightning McQueen from cars, back to the future), while us parents enjoyed seeing up close our favorites ( batmobile (60' and 90' versions), kitt from Knight Rider) We easily spent 3 hours across the three floors, and never even made it to the vault tour which we read was awesome. Overall great museum to visit!!!!

JESSICA GRANDE

The Petersen Museum is the place to go if you are a car fanatic or not. Is a great museum to check out. You get to see all kinds of classics and hot rods. Their Saturday events are great! Great opportunity to not only see car but meet new friends. Family friendly museum. A must see if you are visiting Southern California.

Rebecca Bailey

Loved it! Great place for car and movie enthusiasts alike

Borekgirl82

So much fun. I loved seeing the cool cars

Pearl M

Very interesting museum. I did enjoy the history of vehicles as provided in a tour by staff member. I did not get to see the whole museum in one visit however I will return for more! I do recommend this local museum.

Alison Carter

I had a lot more fun here than I was expecting! I’m not super into cars, but this place has so many beautiful and unique cars. Anyone can have a great time here, car fan or not. I fully geeked out seeing the vehicles from movies like the land speeder from Star Wars. There’s nice, clean bathrooms on each floor, and even phone charging available, USB and wireless. There’s even a few vehicles on display in the parking garage as you walk up to the entrance. We didn’t do the vault tour but felt we had an amazing, fun experience well worth the visit. I recommend coming on a weekday if possible to avoid the crowds. Otherwise it may be tricky to take pictures without other people in them. the gift shop is fun to look around in too. Also, for the movie location lover: A scene from T2 was filmed here. When the T-1000 runs after our hero’s escaping the hospital. The start of the chase was shot in the underground level of the parking garage. Today that level is the vault, I believe. But you can still recognize the ceiling of the garage and the spiral ramp.

Gordon Watson

A good selection of cars on display. My highlights were the sci-fi cars which are currently on display. But the rest of the museum was good. I didn't do the vault tour but I'll do it next time.

Jim Bagley

The Petersen Automotive Museum is a great Los Angeles experience. Plan to spend at least a half a day to truly see everything. Get a tour to add to your enjoyment. The featured displays change so plan to revisit to appreciate different automotive themes. If you are a real car enthusiast you could easily spend a whole day here absorbing all this exceptional facility has to offer. There are a variety of nearby restaurants to take a break and recharge your energy if you want to spend the day. I highly recommend making this an LA destination if you have not visited.

Dave Frey

If you're a car guy (person), like me, you'll love this museum. So many interesting cars from the past, present, and future. There's a kid's room, design center, and cool stuff all over. Can you tell I liked visiting here?

Black Jack

Glorious! Home of the only Nissan R390 production model in existence. The vault tour is a must for any visitor... if you are a car geek, it will deepen your love... to all others an invaluable lesson in automotive evolution.

Robert Amaro

This museum is very nice. The cars that they have on the top floor are elegant and pictures do not do justice. It is moderately priced for the cars you view. It offers everything from old classics to futuristic concepts to movie prop cars and much more. If you are even slightly interested in cars you will like the vast variety held within this building!

Chris Vournakis

An LA gem; a must for LA visitors, just like Disneyland, Venice Beach or The Hollywood sign. Also a center for automotive thought: past, present and future. An amazing place!

Raj Dianand

If you're a car guy/gal, this is the place for you. Petersen made a name for himself by being the publisher for Hot Rod and Road & Track, among many other magazines. The installations and exhibits here will provoke conversation, debate, and ideas. It is truly, an automotive Mecca. Pay the money and get a vault tour. No pictures, but the images and memories will last a lifetime. Plus, you'll get to see a few cars they're working on. 10/10, would recommend.

ej

If you like Hollywood cars this is good spot. Decent mix of historic, unique and race cars. Looks like it has a great little section for kids. If you have even the slight bit of interest in cars I'd would go for the upgrade and do the tour to the lower level.

Greg Gardner

Huge collection of crazy nice super rare cars of every kind. Many Hollywood movie cars as well. I strongly recommend taking the vault tour well worth it!

Dar Kur

Beyond expectations. The current exhibit, besides the wonderful collection of historic vehicles, was of science fiction movie and video game vehicles. It's Sept of 2019 for reference, and it was very cool seeing one of a kind creations in front of you. The blurbs in front were sometimes too brief, but most included a pic of the thing being built. I didn't know they had a Start Wars land speeder! G felt like a kid. It was hard to resist climbing on that thing and telling security, "I am not the geek you are looking for."

Andrew Mcgowan

If you're into your cars this place is a must see in LA ,it's not a huge museum but you could quite happily spend a few hours looking at the collection. The majority of the collection are in concourse condition. My favourites were the gt40 which is one of only 7 cars made for the road and is stunning and also the Bugatti which is one of the first cars you look at . If you like cars you must give it a visit.

Maria Rivera

If you enjoy cars or someone you know does. This is a great place to visit. There is three floors with lots of neat cars. They recommend you start at the top floor and work your way down. Parking is $16 and adult tix are $16 as well.

Sam Bartleman

Amazing selection of cars - mostly foreign niche cars, like specialized Porches and Nissans. But as an EV owner and long-time EV enthusiast, I came here specifically to see their EV1 and the electric car exhibit. I was very surprised to see a few other early electric cars as well, and the exhibit was very informative and well done. Mind boggling to see a GM logo on an electric! Takes about two to three hours to see it all. Will definitely be back as the exhibits rotate.

CitizenOfTheWorld

awesome museum!!! highly recommended to anyone, locals as well as guests of LA. it shows brilliantly the evolution of an industry that actually dictates a lot of our day to day lifestyle. it starts in the Vault where with the help of a wonderful tour guide you can see the beginning, showing the first cars ever built of the late 1800's. it's continuing upstairs throughout all floors, where you can find the endless possibilities of human inspiration and imagination that led to some incredible, futuristic car prototypes. hopefully soon we can see some of them on the streets but for now they're only in featured motor sports like F1 or movies. obviously there's a price $$$ to be paid but it's worth every penny. go check it out

Timothy Walz

The cars are magnificent and the people leading the guided tours are great as well. Absolute dream of a place.

DM Harvey

Many many very nice cars and creations. Took many photos to show at home in Canada. Bought stuff in store over 75 dollars and parking was covered. Saved 20 dollars on it.

Ian Martin

Wonderful museum with lots of interesting cars and stories. Make sure to take the Vault tour! (And probably the extended one) Mr. Davis was a great tour guide, he very knowledgeable and had many stories to tell. I had him for the short tour and will make sure to do the extended tour next time I'm in town.

boostnhoe

Great museum. I took a group of high school students and we had a tour guide. The tour guide was hard to hear in our large group and our time was limited to just the cars he was speaking about. The students weren't interested in the history of the vehicles but more wanting to explore on their own to view them. If you go with students I suggest the self guided tour. I think yourself and students would enjoy their time more at the museum. Beautiful cars, great place to go.

J Michael

Place is absolutely amazing. One of my favorite museums in all of LA. There are so many rare beautiful cars here, especially Porsche. I do wish they had a few far you could get in too and there wasn’t any Lamborghini, Rolls Royce, or Bugatti’s (I mean I would really like to experience those cars as well). There is a great section on Harley Davidson, Indian Motorcycles, and a few Ferrari’s. The movie cars are very cool!!

Evan Schwab

This is my second visit to the museum and my experience was just as great as my last. If you are a car enthusiast then this museum is a must. There was interesting exhibits both times I came. I will visit every time I come to Los Angelas

Seve Gilpin

If you love cars and even if you don't you should come see the collections they have here. It is fun for all ages and a great place to get a group together for the day. We were a group of senior to little kids and every one of us found something exciting to experience. The history of cars is very cool and the low riders are amazing.

Graham Montgomery

Definitely recommended for car lovers! Varying ticket prices dependent on age and membership status, but as of 7/27 it's $16 for adults. Three levels of beautiful, immaculate automobiles ranging from movie props to custom creations for royalty keep your mouth agape and your eyes wide open. Also, whoever was tasked with the lighting did an incredible job--the ambience is fantastic.

Gina Delta

Superb museum. We were blown away. We also paid extra for the basement tour, which was well worth doing.

Rob Dorrington

Displays are excellent as are the simulators but an extra $30 each for the vault is a bit ridiculous. Why not just charge an extra $4 and give everyone access. Plus if you park in their parking lot, it's a minimum $16 to park but free if you spend $75 in the gift shop which is a bit stupid if you ask me. However, if you're a car fan like me, it's worth it!

czechyorker

Amazing people working at the museum. Very knowledgeable about the cars in general. We have learned a lot from the guys on each floor. Thank you.

Keith Fairfield

Nice selection of cars from tv shows and movies. A nice lesson in the history of cars. A nice section for the kids with Disney's Cars.

Laura Nuno

Great museum for car lovers. I enjoyed it even though I'm not a huge car enthusiast. Took my bf on a date and he loved it. Their Porsche exhibit was amazing. We took about 3 hours to tour all floors. Fun experience that I would definitely recommend. This place is beautiful inside and out.

Eun Gil Cho

There is a free Classic car tour you will love it if you are interested in it. I just came by out of blue. It was nice place!!

Os Marq

Wonderful place to visit a deep part of our history in the auto industry. Venue is well thought out and easily accessible. Parking can be validated.

Cristiano Cesolari

I really enjoyed visiting this place. I had a lot of pleasant dejavu going through the room of the museum. My kid as well enjoyed a lot

Eli Banks

Super cool collection and a lot of really interesting history. I'm not a "car guy" and I still really enjoyed it. The Vault tour was pretty neat but a little overstuffed. Serious car enthusiasts will love it, but if you're more a casual admirer than you're good with just doing the upper levels.

Cindy Brickner

Beautiful collection. Excellent labeling and signage. Fun interactive driving simulator. Courteous staff.

christine Pavlick

Nice place to take your time and see both classic and modern cars from your favorite movies.

Alex Spencer

Fun venue. Amazing pieces of automotive history. If you've never visited, write it on your bucket list. Even for the casual auto admirer, still a fun ride.

Behnam Babaknia

Very cool museum, the building in itself is already a sight to behold, loved the cars from the movies and all the detailed descriptions on every single car in there. More than worth the visit

Dale White

Lots of great cars. There's cars down stairs that are very old. Great talk on the cars in the tour. Unfortunately we were not allowed to take pictures or get close. All together the museum was great.

Michael Lorenz

If you are a car guy this place is awesome. I high suggest paying extra for the guided tour of the Vault located in in the basement. Our guide, Shell was fantastic and super knowledgeable, witty, and just a super guy to guide us one the tour.

Steve Smith

Unique as always and very educational in a WOW sort of way. Would have preferred more real antiques and less Hollywood fabricated cars but I know the displays change so it's a reason to go back.

Антон Поддубнов

This place is so well organized. It is not so big, but packed with amazing stuff.

SOCAL EUROKULTURE

The Petersen is definitely a go to for anyone who has any respect/love for cars! Today was my second time there and it was a bit different. I love how they keep changing the cars out with different ones as well as how they present them. They also host a European car show every year which is why I was there today, that is awesome! (Shameless plug of my car at one of the booths)

This place is excellent. As an automotive professional and enthusiast I was really able to appreciate what this place has to offer in the way of history, construction and movie vehicles on display during my visit. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the gift shop was also worth stopping in, though I didn’t spend quite enough to park for free. I will definitely be stopping in to see the new exhibits the next time I am in LA

What a great showcase of cars. Great value for the experience. Has something for all ages including a kids area on the second floor. Easy to access parking garage incorporated into the museum. We even got to talk to a few car designers working there. We didn't do the vault tour since our younger son is under 10, but we are definitely visiting again some day.

Reena Reena

Informative but need assistance if you ask for. You need lot of time to visit each part of the vintage cars. Cars that you have seen in the movies are displayed with a small video clip. i loved watching them and relating it. Kids will love it!

Eric Moomjean

Amazing cars and exhibits. Knocked off one star since we parked on the 2nd level and did 2 laps around the parking lot before we figured out that they don't have any elevator access on that floor. Had to literally carry 2 strollers down the stairs to where a sheepish attendant admitted "yeah, you should have parked on the first or third floor"... Seriously?

Awesome museum. My kid and I had a great time. Cool staff. I wish they had more food options for kids. They have a large variety of cars, motorcycles, ect. I highly recommend visiting

One of the best spots in LA for families. My kids and I enjoyed our day exploring this magnificent place. It has plenty of movies cars. Almost all the vehicles you have seen in any movie. Your family will enjoy the safe and friendly atmosphere of this place. So easy to explore and walk around. Duration: 90-120 minutes.

Step into an amazing, jaw-dropping world of cars that I didn't think existed. All cars featured in well-loved top-grosser movies get you reminiscing of not only those movies they were in but the happy times I had watching them. The other featured cars owned by famous people are equally awesome. Creativity immortalized in this museum in the heart of Los Angeles! Not to be missed!

Have been wanting to check out this museum for years! I am a huge fan of cars and don't know why it took me years to visit this place?! Anyways, made this trip here special, decided to save the visit for my birthday weekend. It was everything and more! Didn't check out the vault, but will for sure be coming back. I cannot even express in words how amazing the collection here is, but my heart was so full and happy! They even had a mini art section on the first floor and had art pieces from Mark Ryden, whom I love. If you love cars, you must check out this museum. It's that cool looking artsy building on your way to LACMA. Admittance is $16 each adult and parking if you choose to park in structure is the same price. There are street meters around the area if you don't mind walking. I spent about 2-3 hours here to view all three floors.

Caroline

Spent a whole day here. It's a wonderful place and you MUST do the vault tour. Food was good and well priced.

Richard HO

Great way to spend the day looking at cool and exciting cars from the past, as well as cars from movies, and even some motorcycles. You can't go wrong. I spent the day here on Father's day and it didn't disappoint. I will definitely head back when I'm in town.

Best car museum I ever been to... combining cars and movie props is just fantastic! Spent way too much time there and definitely worth the visit. Highly recommended!

Nathan B

Awesome place!. Has 3 Floors!, A must see if you're a car enthusiast or possibly even a movie fanatic because they have a lot of iconic cars from iconic movies. The staff was Great too they are Very Helpful Extremely Polite and made me and my family feel very welcome. Highly recommend!

Sincerely Serene

This is a great place to take young men as well as older men. I've taken all age ranges to this museum and they love it. Make sure to include "The Vault" with your purchase. You will not be disappointed.

Caleb Dixon

Clean, well organized, and simply does what it is supposed to: display cars for people to read on and look at. I've got no complaints.

Doug Steckman

Was too much great stuff to see. I was a fan of the 60s batmoble. I will have to go back to see more.

Timothy Gigliotti

Fantastic collection. I strongly recommend getting the vault tour.

Richard Wood

Excellent! You are seeing history up close in the automotive industry. What a great place to be. I love it.

paul coulter

Great cars, etc. exhibited in a wonderful setting. The Petersen is a world class automotive museum

Jim Dolan

Pretty good museum, but the staff seek to specialize in being grumpy n irritable. I got there last week at 5:30 against a 6:00 closing time to see the Jessibl Combs exhibit and they turned me away... WTH?

Howie S

Awesome collection of cars that rotate as well, so it's interesting to go back occasionally. Also have 2 evgo fast chargers. You can ask for 1 hr parking validation if you are charging

Luwane Sweetney

Great museum, even for the non-enthusiast! There's more than enough to keep your interest.

Shayna Stander

The Petersen is a great automotive Museum. They are constantly changing their exhibits. They work had to have interesting exhibits and cars with history. They have programs for kids. They have car racing arcade games for adults. They take historical works of art to various car shows and events to increase awareness and appreciation of vehicles.

Bruce W

It was a great experience! But they were out of toilet paper in the only stall in the restroom on the top floor.

Susan Graefe

An amazing place to take the family! I highly recommend this beautiful museum to anyone in the area. The food is spectacular and the guided tours are so fun.

Hamad Almaian

This place is very nice . But some old bald dude who worked there shouted at my little brother for running and was very rude he could've talked in a better way. That is in no way how you should talk to a kid.

Mike Hammonds

Great Sunday car shows once a month. Museum cars are great.

Kerri Marlow

Such an awesome Automotive Museum. Very rare cars that you can take your time admiring.

Nicole Robbins

The museum had a lot of cool cars. Most of them were from TV shows or movies. Not too many historically significant cars. You have to pay extra to see cars in "The Vault".

T Callahan

Love cars? This is the place to go! Tons of history, information and interactive displays. Concept cars to Hollywood cars. This is the first time I have been back since they redesigned the museum. Some hands on & educational things for the kids as well!

Jenny Ceja

Very awesome! Recommended for any age. The vault has a 120 min or a 90 min tour. Would recommend the 90 min because you're standing all the time. The 3 floors are really cool you find lots of cars that you would recognize from popular movies. I would come to this place again! Recommend it

Mehri Savarani

The VAULT is a must, I am glad my husband purchase it but if you want see as detailed possible the best choice is 2 hours. We got 75 minutes and time flew so fast we didn't see them all.

I S

Nice place to come with the family to see all the great cars they have on display. A favourite was definitely seeing the actual DeLorean from Back to the future in there. I loved the Tron bike as well. The bathrooms are nice and clean. Security will hold on to your bags and prams/strollers that you have too. Has a gift shop to have a little look around as well.

V. D.

Absolutely amazing car museum. Regardless if you like old or current, European or American, all can be found here. Stuff you'll likely never get another chance to see as they have many one offs. I highly recommend the extended vault tour if you're into cars. Heck even of you're not there are some interesting stories to be heard that are worth it. The staff is really friendly, there is easy parking and it's very clean. I attached my favorite!

gabby k

Great spot to go for an afternoon if you're into cars. A lot of fun.

Elena Damron

Love this place! They have amazing car collection, interesting special exhibits. Theit vault tours great as well.

David Williamson

A must see for anyone interested in cars. The extended vault tour is fantastic and allows you to see cars not normally or ever on display. The movie car exhibit on presently would interest movie buffs even those without an interest in cars.

A. W.

Vault tour was great. If you are into cars, you'll enjoy.

Wilson Wong

If you're car guy or gal you need to hit this place up at lest once in your life. The cars here are amazing. They have some awesome rare carz, like the first Shelby Cobra signed by Carroll Shelby himself. Also movie buffs might want to check this place out to the got quite a few movie cars too.

Amalya Karapetyan

If you like cars from movies then defenately you can visit. Amazing exterior design. Ticket is 16$, parking is 16$

chris schott

Too many fantasy/ movie cars. But great and fun. Movies of running cars on big screen made it come to life

daisy lynn

Lots to look at! We very much enjoyed ourselves and could've spent more time there.
