Such an interesting museum.
Very informative. Love the "Old West"
This place was so fantastic! Incredible vibe, great staff, AUDIO TOUR and not to mention the BEAUTIFUL display of Western Art! I learned so much about the history of Arizona and I'll definitely be back for more!
A must see!
Very disappointing after multi million dollar remake. Most of what I came to see was in storage as now they "rotate" the artwork so you don't see much when you come. I Won't make any car club tours to Wickenburg for a while as Museum used to be the #1 reason to go but no longer.
Interesting history of the area. Worth the time to visit.
Incredible for a small town! Very entertaining and educational! Definitely worth a visit!
Great bit of local history.
Awesome history about the wild west, Wickenburg and the history of AZ. Route 66 exhibit was great as well. Can't wait to return.
VERY NICE MUSEUM TO VISIT. TRUSTING , DID NOT HAVE SOMEBODY FOLLOWING YOU AROUND. EXHIBITS VERY INTERESTING, VERY EDUCATIONAL. 5 STAR ALL THE WAY.
We went to see women artists annual show. The 3 of us really enjoyed the quality of art work.
This place is amazing! Very well laid out and they have some extras that I've never seen in a museum. The guide we had was very knowledgeable and friendly. We learned so much and actually had fun while doing it.
We were there for the Cowgirl Up show. Fantastic women artists. Be sure to visit the permanent old town display in the basement.
Nice place to visit, family will enjoy it
nice place must visit in Wickenberg
Great Western experience
Cool stuff
This a very nice museum that you would not expect to find in a town like Wickenburg. Quality paintings and sculptures from a variety of artists. In addition, there are addition exhibits showing the everyday life in early frontier times. Take the time to explore the museum. It's well worth it.
Best museum I've seen in a long time
Very nice museum to visit lot's of history of the Old West and Wickenburg. Definitely recommend checking out.
Been to Wickenburg Arizona many times for a day trips never went to Museum until now. It was fantastic and definitely will go back again.
Very informative tour, knowledgeable guide, nice art, the kids even had a bit of fun
Great museum Well worth a visit.
This is the museum we hoped to find at Scottsdale's western museum. Western art described with an excellent headphone based narration. The system also tells the history of life at home and on the trail. This is a true museum and not just walking from store to store in between shootouts.
Very interesting space, great art and sculptures from masters
Neat place
Well designed and informative museum. I personally enjoyed the self guided tour with headphones. I also enjoyed the hologram in the general store and the sites downstairs.
A very well done museum with 2 buildings full of beautiful art and artifacts. Knowledgeable staff. Interactive and multimedia exhibits offer a view of life in the west.
Great place to visit. Family friendly.
I thought this was a neat museum and a wonderful way to get to know the history of the town I just moved to! They also do family days every so often for free which is also amazing!
A must-see for anyone fascinated by the Wild West & Arizona’s history. Features rotating art installments from American cowboys & cowgirls as well as Wild West history pieces.
Amazing Western art collection in a small Western town,
Wonderful art and history
What a little gem this place is. Beautiful exhibits, and a very pleasant experience.
Beautiful facility with a wonderful view. The food and music were outstanding. It is a great venue for events.
Well laid out informative museum. Certain sections are dedicated to different temporary displays. The excellent "Cowgirl Up!" show - West-themed art by women artists - was being featured during our visit. They have wisely incorporated some child-focused activity centers.
Gem of a little museum in the heart of Wickenburg. Free audio tour is included in the admission. They have two buildings, with two floors in the larger one. The larger building houses a permanent collection of artwork and a old time Wickenburg town on the lower level. The Leaning Center building houses a collection of local artifacts and an art collection put on by a local organization. Definitely worth a couple of hours!
Such a cool museum! Gives a great history of the town downstairs and has some truly beautiful pieces upstairs!
Two story building with hundreds of artifacts... kids don't pay entrance and it is full of bronze figures, rifles, six shooters from back in the day. It a cherry on a cake if you happen to visit Wickenburg.
Great museum.
Hey you sitting at the Tesla charger! Get up and walk over here. Wonderful place with much to see. You'll have to make sure you recharge here on the way back so you can see more things! Smithsonian art and exhibits and wonderful sweet curators on docent s here too! Drop on by and stay a bit!
There are two floors of exhibits in the main gallery and another exhibit in the Learning Center. I brought my nine-year-old and he enjoyed taking in the art and culture as much as I did. The free audio guide makes it even better.
I loved this place because everything was very authentic. The people who run the museum were super nice and informational. Its free for AD military AND their family's which is a perk. There's options to listen to the museum through a cassette and headphones or you can just browse through and read everything yourself. There's a hologram type video downstairs which is pretty cool. And a nice small gift shop. Definitely worth checking out!!
Very interesting place and the woman at the front desk was informative
Could not have been better!
Great experience to learn about the history of the town of Wickenburg
Beautiful artwork that is always changing, and lots of history and artifacts that I had never seen before coming here. Everyone here provides great service and they are all very knowledgeable!
Great little museum filled with life-sized recreations of life in bygone era. Wonderful art and saddle exhibits. Helpful, knowledgeable people. A great place to visit.
Well put together and thoughtful museum.
Very intersting, especially the basement area with the town set up. Definitely worth stopping in.
Great art work!!
Very nice and well maintained place. A lot of history of the area and you must see The Cowgirl Up collection. Most enjoyable and no pressure while walking through. Thoroughly enjoyed the visit. Docents are friendly and willing to help and guide you along.
Rooms full of wonderful Western Art.
Gotta admit, this place impressed the holy bejesus outta me. Their Cowgirls exhibit was simply amazing, and the exhibits on the history of the area and Southwest art were terrific. I had a great time here, learned a lot, and plan on coming back. My folks live nearby and bring friends all the time. Well worth the visit. The town is pretty cool too!
Very interesting for a Dutch guy!
This museum is a good piece of history.
Great exhibitions.
Extensive collection of local and Southwest wide historical items as well as a beautiful collection of bronze sculptures; paintings; and more. Well worth a visit.
It was not like any other museum I ever visited! The building had things in the lower floor that were interactive, painting, and statues. The staff was very friendly and there were many things to see. It talked both about the western cowboys and the native Americans who lived there. I would go back.
The guided tour provided a wonderful history of the area.
Great place to take your family.
Great way to spend a hot afternoon. Great Western Art and artifacts.
Beautiful artwork.

A classy, informative museum.
Great day

Great museum.
Nice little museum, had more than I expected. Friendly staff.
Very interesting insights into the early Whites coming into the "wild west." Lots of very good art.
Good history of the area
Beautiful western art, paintings and sculptors. If you like western art..don't miss this gallery!!!
Very nice plan on spending the good part of a day to thoroughly take it all in
Well done museum! Great variety in the exhibits, from artwork to dioramas to a mock western town. Admission includes 2 buildings. We went on a Saturday and they had a presentation for the adults and a kids project.
Nice show Cowgirl Up. $10
Very Western with very beautiful authentic art .
Absolutely superb!! Loved this place all so well done! really impressed with the cowboy poems read by a great poet and all the information we were given by the people here was so interesting .. so worth a visit! Thank you
Excellent museum to visit with a lot of interesting historical displays to learn from and enjoy. Artwork was amazing
This is a true gem in Wickenburg. It's not just a very good museum for being in a small town; it could certainly hold its own against big-city museums. Once you step inside, you quickly realize that this is not a dinky, dusty old western museum. The walls are neatly and brightly painted, the flooring is gorgeous. It is much, much bigger than I anticipated, and I didn't even get to see the second building. The little town downstairs is very interesting with a few touches of modern technology intermingled with the antique displays. Probably best of all is the people running the place; every single one of them went out of their way to welcome us. It truly shouldn't be missed.
As an artist I always enjoy art museums of many styles. This museum is wonderful.
Wonderful museum. If you love Western art this place is great. Lower floor is great for kids.
A great whole in the wall museum. You wouldn't even know it's there. It looks small from the outside but is a lot bigger than it appears. It had a very cute and informative replica of Wickenburg from the 1800's. Lots of interactive displays for kids. There are also free headsets you can wear that have a person telling you what everything is in the museum. There is also an art gallery. Also there is no charge for kids. I really recommend stopping here when in Wickenburg!
A must see when in Wickenburg.
Small but interesting collection, well presented.
Fantastic art exhibit.
Great way to learn about Wickenburg
Worth the trip
Beautiful window into Arizona history. But it is a little hard to find the door.
Great museum for learning about Wickenburg history and the old West in Arizona. We planned on spending two hours, but spent three plus hours. Highly recommend.
A gem in the desert. We became members after our first visit. It is a joy to visit anytime. Love the West!
Thus us a must see museum for all ages.
Lots of great Western art and memorabilia, nice place to spend a day.....
Great Museum... friendly people. They also have a 11:00 am your that is worth your time.
Well you learn about some of the history of the town of wickenburg
Neat museum to learn the history of Wickenburg. It has a lot of hands on items that the kids can play with.
Excellent Museum. Well worth the time. Many out of town guest think this is better than Jerome.
Fun museum!
Informative, exciting, exhibits are beautifully displayed.
A “must see”
This is a must. Easy to send hours looking
Beautiful place to visit.
DOD not vist
Especially enjoyed the art show at the museum - the annual Cowgirl Up! show. My mom enjoyed seeing the amazing art and the chance to vote for our favorite. The history portion if the museum was also done very well. We liked the hologram in the general store!
Best little secret in Wickenberg
Such an amazing Museum, beautiful art and wonderful staff
Pretty cool. Found a lot of gifts. And Teresa is awesome!
They had a lot of really nice paintings and sculptures. If you are in to western art, this is a great place to visit.
Great place ... fun and enjoyable for all ages
Great place to admire western art and ways of life back then, the museum in the basement was awesome, it showed how western life was back then
A fun place to learn local history and enjoy Western art. My kids had an enjoyable time. I am grateful to the volunteer for his help making our experience a great one. We will definitely go again.
Yes, a really nice museum. One of the highlights is the route 66 section. Great history of the road with memorabilia from that era. Also some great western art. Love this place.
Very interesting and informative. Two separate buildings. One featuring a personal collection. The other featuring art, displays, and artifacts. Check out the downstairs!!
The Cowgirl Up exhibit was extraordinary this year. The Museum does a wonderful job of showcasing the art & artifacts.
Awesome western artifacts
Will go back
Amazing museum. I got a free pass for 2 from the Tempe Public Library and I didn't think this museum would be that interesting. Boy was I wrong. There was a lot to see and I was there for a little just under 2 hours and unfortunately it was nearing 5 pm so I had to head out. I rushed through one of the sections to make it through everything. I would say if you are like me and like reading all exhibit signs and doing a meticulous walkthrough, then give yourself 3 hours to see this place. One thing to keep in mind. The museum has 2 buildings: the first one is a smaller one called the Cultural center. You can buy your tickets there and they have some Native American artifacts and modern day art there. Then if you go out and turn right, you reach the main museum. The first floor has an art gallery (that changes every so often), a room with old Western artifacts, and then another room with historic Western paintings. Then, downstairs, you have historical displays of a store, bedroom, kitchen, etc. You really feel immersed in the experience. Lastly, I must say the ladies working there are amazing. They were friendly and helpful.
Fantastic museum. Great exhibits. Dense with good information and history. Went for 2 hours and it was not enough to really cover it all. Will definitely be going again!
Great bronze sculptures and interesting Wickenburg history
There was alot more inside than meets the eye. First floor was an amazing art gallery with a few educational yes fun displays of local history but once you go down a floor it opens up into a miniature town with so much information it takes a few passes too see everything! Truly fun place to be on a long drive. Friendly staff made us feel welcome from the moment we got to the door!
This is a cute, small museum that is free for kids and free with the Culture Pass from the library. When we went the basement, which is probably more interesting to kids than the main level, was being remodeled. That should be completed by now so we'll visit again soon to check that out. Walk across the street next to the Circle K to check out the Jail Tree---a weird roadside attraction! My kids are 11 and 13 and they enjoyed the museum. They weren't as interested in the second building as it is more of an art gallery. We spent about 45 minutes in the main museum. If the basement exhibits had been open we probably would have spent about 90 minutes total. Free parking.
Good western art, and more that we didn't have time to see in one visit.
Nice museum, friendly staff. Really nice exhibits.
Great place to see some amazing paintings and bronzes. The rooms showing how life was back then and the dioramas were very interesting and the rooms had lots of antiques in them. Great place to visit and make a day of it walking around Wickenburg.
Great museum with a lot of thinks to see. I really enjoy it.
What a great piece of history!
Really nice museum offering a good glimpse into the lives of the first settlers to the Wickenburg area. Beautiful portraits of the Indian people during the late 1800s. In the small building there is currently a saddle collection featuring small salesman scaled replicas of the different saddles various types of people would have used; e.g. saddles used by: Indian Warrior, Indian Maiden, US Calvary, White Women, Children, Cowboys, Missionaries, etc. The differences between them are very interesting and each saddle is hand made by a Master Saddle Maker (sorry, I forgot his name.) All in all, it's a must see for $10.00
There's a lot of local history from the area.
The staff is very welcoming and helpful. A great museum with wonderful artwork
The staff is incredibly nice
Small, but informational- with great staff!
Great place to go and learn about the history of the Southwest and wickenburg. Much to see and do.
Was very informative excellent displays
Cowgirl up boys a great experience everyone should see that show.
Wonderful museum. Much history and plenty of guides.
Very cool place a must see if you are in the area
Great visit to this museum. Our guide was great! She was very knowledgeable and pleasant! Our Corvette group enjoyed this visit...
Neat museum.
The Thomas Moran was breath taking, the basement was very fun with kids and the woven baskets were beautiful.
Pretty cool. You can get 2 free passes at Phoenix libraries.
This was a fascinating place that gave context to the settlement and development of the old west
Very interesting museum! Very informative
Really well done museum! It went beyond our expectations. There is a self guided audio tour on the top level and an interactive old western town on the lower level.
These guys work so hard to run this place two thumbs up to them
Really cool Museum
A must see if you visit Wickenburg. The exhibit downstairs was my favorite. There are a thousand or more relics from the past.
Surprisingly more content than expected
They were so nice to us and the kids loved exploring downstairs! Great place to visit.
A good stop to spend an hour or so learning about local history and to check out the other art exhibits. The old town scenes down stairs is really cool and so is the docents in the main building...I didn't catch her name but she gave a great tour. I was there Sunday November 3, 2018 in the afternoon. The museum gives AAA and or senior discounts.
A friend and I visited the museum expressly to see the Cowgirl Up exhibit. This is the 13th Annual Cowgirl Up Exhibit of more than 200 paintings and sculptures created exclusively by women artists. All the artwork exhibited is for sale and it is quite something to experience all this talent, all in one place, and all at one time, spread out through out the museum. Photos are allowed, but no flash. Also be sure to visit the gift shop, and on the lower level is an historic exhibit of Wickenburg's history. Seniors 60 and over receive a discount. Veterans and those under 17 are free. Parking is out front and close in and wheelchair accessible. Restrooms are cared for. I included a few photos of my favorite paintings.
A terrific place. Really gives you a feel for what it must have been like. Everyone in town met the train
amazing artwork, welcoming staff
Excellent! You will be surprised.
