Lots of History. Informative.

Amazing museum that chronicles the history of Cave Creek in addition to Native American heritage. The gold mining stamp mill demonstration is fantastic and panning for gold for kids afterwards is a real treat. Excellent place to visit and spend a few hours well worth the trip.

What a great little museum. I've never seen so much Native American pottery in on place. So much history here. The way they have it set up to go thru the exibits "in time" is pretty awesome. The lady's staffing the place on a Saturday afternoon were very informative and helpful.

50 years this museum has been quietly collecting, promoting and showcasing the virtues of Cave Creek and it's people. Volunteers from all over the state have come to rebuild the stamp mill that is the only one in the state still able to crush rock. The children of our community have continuously benefit from experiencing things like the TB cabin. Local history combines with today's technology in interactive displays and unique video tours.

Fun place. Was at their chapel for my daughter's wedding which was great.

Small museum; took 2 hours total but I like to read everything in the exhibits and we had a snack on the gazebo! 100% worth it. Staff where super pleasant. They where busy which made me happy to see. Lots of great books in the store. My 6yr old had fun playing with the hands on exhibits. $7 for adults; kids are free!

Is a very small museum, the elderly staff talked to low when talking about the history of the place. But you can walk about on your own and read it yourself.

Colleen Rock

This is a neat and sometime too hidden gem in our community. I like taking visitors and guests here and always learn something new too. The running of the stamp mill is something to see! A real, unique and restored piece of American history. The docents and knowledgeable and really paint a picture of what the town was like way back when. It is a wonderful asset to Cave Creek.

This museum is really awesome for a local, small town Museum. They have an extensive collection of ancient people's pottery and wares and tools. I think it's very cool that the tuberculosis house they have on-site they believe is the last known one still in existence in the United States. People from all over the country came to Arizona to try to heal from tuberculosis because of our dry weather. You can get two free tickets to the museum from the public library culture pass but the admission price I believe is only $5 per person. They have a lot of different areas in this Museum of various parts of history -- it's truly worth seeing. And ask about the ghosts!

Part of the culture pass found in most area libraries. Quaint Museum just behind the main street of Cave Creek. One route is not far from Oregano's pizza, and looks like you are going through a neighborhood, because you are. The other route is by the Olive Oil store, which looks like an alley way through the neighborhood, than an actual road (I think it's both). Houses some of the items found in Cave Creek by the first settlers, and the generations of the 20th century settlers. There is a really small active church onsite, and outdoors are some of the equipment used to help populate Cave Creek in its younger years. The foliage and resident animal inhabitants are small and quick, just like the lot of the museum...blink and you miss it all.
