This Museum is classified in the category of Science museum.
This facility is a unique attraction that offers visitors a look into a closed system environment. The entire area is clean and well kept. If you take the time to enjoy a tour, the guide is knowledgeable and keeps the group moving at a calm, but consistent pace. Bring your camera as there are many photo opportunities and don’t be afraid to explore the surrounding area. There are lots of hidden treasures around! Watch out for desert wildlife if you’re walking around though... we did see a snake on the walking path when we went. Highly recommended!
I've been here several times and each time has been a great experience. This is an incredibly valuable scientific facility and it's right here in Tucson! We had Doug as our tour guide and he was very informative, funny, and kept a good pace. We will definitely be back. 5 stars easily.
Such a great place! I can't believe I'd never been. It's worth every penny!
What an amazing place! I highly recommend it. What is really great is they continue to use this fantastic place for experiments even today!
So much cooler than I expected. Tour invites you into the inner workings of the sphere. Amazing experience
One of the coolest places I have ever visited. Our tour guide Karen was very knowledgeable and also entertaining. If you are in the area, you must visit!
Awesome awesome fricking awesome! Too much to say. It was exactly like I imagined but better. Could have easily spent all day here but we had to get on the road back to CA and life in the fruit and nut state. Was trying to imagine Bud and Doyle living it up in the 'abandoned' original bio dome they show you where all the plants overgrew everything. Tour was great. Guide was cool. Honestly, I wish I were there right now, its so peaceful.
World class attraction. Unique. Great tours. Heavy on engineering and biology but light on social / people aspects. Worth it.
What a wonderful tour. I went as a child and learned so much about our ecosystem and the experiment. Visited again recently, as an adult with my child. I am so glad I was able to share the experience even though there have been multiple changes (no livestock, certain areas are blocked, etc). I am pleased that they are continuing experiments and I will continue to support their projects.
Anyone interested in science or technology will love this place. It's one of a kind in the world. Our tour guide was fantastic.
So educational and interesting. A great place to spend a day if you love learning about science and the amazing experiments. I definitely recommend going at least once.
So cool....always wanted to visit and finally did!! Can't wait to come back in the future to see the results of their ocean and coral reef projects.
This is a great and fascinating place to learn for the whole family. Our tour guide was easily heard via earphones and gave many interesting facts about sustaining our plants and foods with varying conditions. You not only observe the different climates but even go into the bowels of the foundation to see the massive ingenuity of the creating engineers! This is a Don't miss!!!
Really cool learning and science center, great stop for anyone visiting.
Wonderful insight into a human experiment! Interesting experimentation on such a large scale that replicates the changes that are currently occurring and can occur within our environment in the coming years! Amazing! Looking forward to the research outcomes!
If you want to know what it might be like to colonize Mars, this is a good place to get some ideas about that.
I recognized this place in my old middle school textbook, really amazing place.
Was a really great tour! Cait, our tour guide, did a really excellent job showing us all around! Her enthusiasm was contagious and my family and I enjoyed her great Dad jokes! We learned a ton about such a unique ongoing scientific endeavor. Neat to see the effects of increased CO2 on the different ecosystems. A must see educational family adventure for all.
It's educational, beautiful and has a fascinating history and is making history even now.
This place was amazing! The tour was informative and entertaining, highlighting the ongoing relevance of the current experiments for understanding climate change, improving agriculture productivity, etc. It's a lot of walking and stairs, and not all areas appeared handicap accessible.
I was really surprised what a cool place it was to visit. Orville our tour guide was fantastic and informative. He had a soothing voice. I was very sad to realize how bad humans have treated mother earth. Our planet is dying. We should all do our part to recycle. Great job biosphere 2. I love what your doing there.
never went hear but doing a school project on it seams cool
Great place to learn about the current state of our world.
This was very interesting. I am into gardening and it was particularly interesting watching how they are taking care of plant life.
If you have never visited i urge you to do so! This is hands down the most amazing place to walk through!
Fun place for the family and a great learning opportunity. I only suggest you avoid the middle of summer.
Very awesome in my opinion, cool thing to do while in the area
Biosphere 2 was not only an amazing feet of engineering when they ran initial tests in the early 90s, but remains an amazing control environment for experiments. The hour and a half tour taught us a lot about sustainability, ecosystems and biomes, and animal life. End everything was so beautiful!
A good day trip. Some interesting stuff. I think you need to spend more time there that I did. There was someone there that went through the experiment to tell about it but I didn't schedule enough time.
This place was really cool to go visit
Such a cool place to go visit and I’m so glad we did. The tour was amazing and until you get there you don’t even realize the amazing things that they have done and what is going on currently with their work with NASA
Back in the 80's I am sure this place was fascinating but today it shows its age. Very little funding to do environmental studies. It is in disrepair. The "ocean" is full of algae which is there as a result of an experimental study. They say they working on cleaning it up. I hope one day they can get more money invested into it because it was an interesting place.
This is one of THE coolest places in Tucson. Soooooo worth the drive. There is nothing like it anywhere in the world and it has such an important and rich history!
Truly amazing what was done here in the past and what is being done here now. We enjoyed learning how the place was built, used and how it is benefiting all of us today. This is a one of a kind place. Be sure to visit. Check for a Groupon or Living Social coupon.
Excellent tour! So educational and just amazing!
Wow my adventures continue with the amazing science experiment that is the Biosphere 2. Go in learn a little and be amazed by the technology implemented to create this world within a world.
This is the second time we've been. We had guests in from out of state. One of our friends is a doctor of marine biology and microbiology. As we were fascinated, he was doubly so. It's a well conducted tour and an eye-opening experience. We love biosphere 2!
This place has potential to be amazing. However, it is just a relic of time. If you research the history of was fraught with drama and issues. It needs lots of love and care to get it back to where it was. It's a shame I was very excited to see this place.
Very fascinating and educational for us. They also were very accommodating for my husband who wasn't sure he could handle all the walking and steps. Wish I could have been involved in the 2 year test, recommend this for everyone at any age.
Amazing glimpse into the world of Earth science.
I loved the giant quartz there.
Very interesting tour. Kind of pricey but I understand it would be expensive to keep a place like this running. If your interested in science at all, this should be on your bucket list.
Super fun place! Very interesting guided tour. It can be hard to hear the guide, so get close to him/her if you want all the information. Current utilization of the facility is amazing
I loved every minute of this tour!! The location is beautiful; gorgeous views of the mountains. We did the history tour and under the glass tour. You are able to walk around after the tours and read though the information. I think everyone should go!!
The tours are an easy and interesting way to learn a lot about our planet!
We are in the 70 and older group and we enjoyed it. There is a lot of walking but it isn't so bad that it didn't make for a wonderful tour. We really enjoyed the tour and our tour guide.we also went to the cafe for lunch and had quiche and a roast beef sandwich and it was very good.
Educational for sure. Its an experiment center so it not like going to a botanical gardens or gardens that are maintain to perfection. It is tested to the perfection of science and the effects of a warming and higher carbon planet... for the 20 dollars I would plan to take advantage and explore as much as you can.. beautiful desert foot hills..
The rainforest isnt open until january :-( it was really cool though. Very informative.
Such a cool escape. To be able to walk around a one of a kind place and experience so many different biomes under one roof is truly unique. Well worth the trip, but we wished the ticketing system was more efficient.
Allot of family fun, ran into Ozzy Osbourne while I was here
Nerded out at Biosphere 2. Fun little day trip. Took a tour, about an hour long. Guide was very knowledgeable. A little hot in the middle of summer as some of the tour goes outside. Inside temp was base on the climate you were going through at the time.
Very cool place. I expected a tour of an outdated facility from when the experiment ended on 1994 but its still a very active research facility. The tours are a bit pricey so look for discount coupons. Still the funds are for a good cause. The guides we had were informative and interesting. Expect to be here 3+ hours.
Such an amazing place, I wish I'd had time to do a another tour!
Worth the trip!! Very informative tour guide and the biomes are totally redone. Last time I went I just felt sad, this time I'm impressed! Good Job UofA!!
This place worth your time and money. It was very educational!
this was our first visit to The biosphere 2 although we only live about an hour and a half away definitely worth the drive down from Phoenix to me it was like a Willy Wonka chocolate factory for adults absolutely amazing little disappointed that we didn't get to see the rainforest because of experiments that we're doing in there but we will come back in January when its open so that we can see that as well.
It's not like Minecraft. The title lies. I can't self-sustain here. I can't even make a wooden pickaxe in the savanna biome. Wouldn't reccomend. Try Terraria instead.
We didn’t actually do the tour so my rating does not reflect the tour 1) on route tried to phone to ask about the next tour time, length, parking availability for an RV, etc. .gave up because I could not talk to a human, just a bunch of automated messages 2) website is broken, tried 3 different browsers on 2 computers 3) went out of our way to go there to speak to a human and see the parking lot (which does accommodate RV’s). An hour and 15 min tour after walking to the start and having to be 10 min early is now a 1 hour and 35 min tour. We are travelling across the country with our dog and we would be ok running a generator for A/C for an hour but over 90 minutes I was getting uncomfortable with this. Providing a kennel would be appreciated or providing power in the parking lot to run A/C would also be fine. (Carlsbad cavern in New Mexico provided kennel services)
Worth the drive! Very interesting and the tour guides are knowledgeable.
I you're visiting Southern Arizona be sure to make time to visit this marvel. If you take a guided tour be prepared for a long walk including stairs and ramps.
Fun, fun, fun! But also interesting and informative. The tours inside the dome are staff-led. Come prepared to do a little walking and bring water, especially if visiting during the summer. This is a must-see attraction while visiting the area.
This was a wonderful adventure. It was hot and a lot of walking but a great experience.
A great place to visit to learn about all the research activities. The tour was really good. You can take as many photos as you wish. The views of the Santa Catalina's are wonderful from there.
5th Grade field trip from Red Rock! Awesome experience....Aishling, Kate and Kyle were amazing guides!
Very interesting experiments they had going, history and future of the biosphere are worth knowing about when it comes to learning about its impacts. Some facilities were out of order or inaccessible, but its staff were helpful.
Jan2019. Incredible history and still a very active research center. World unique I think. The guided tour was perfect, the guide was entertaining and very knowledgeable. The audio system allowed us to hear every bit of the guide speech. Some stairs, ups and downs.
Awesome place! Everyone knew what you asked them. Great staff, wild sights. Hard to imagine how those people stayed there. Really cool. We were really glad we went.
We loved it so much. We purchased our tickets around 1:30 (Sunday) and we were put on the 2:30 tour. We got a bite to eat in their cafe...not bad...and strolled around for a while. The tour was great and very informative. Our tour guide was very pleasant and patient with everyone. It was definitely worth the price, $21 for adults and $19 for seniors. Will do this again when relatives come to visit.
An amazing adventure. A must go see.
What a fantastic experience. Everyone should take the drive to southern Arizona to visit the Biosphere 2. Parts of the tour is not wheel chair accessible, so sorry. You also need to be comfortable and able to walk for about 1-2 miles. Not certain of the distance but we did alot of walking. It was worth it. There is an entrance fee and a small discount for students, with ID.
I had an amazing tour guide who was very knowledgeable and polite. There were a lot of exhibits and experiments to see. I would highly recommend seeing it.
Biosphere 2 is a group of large buildings with nearly completely sealed artificially created environments that simulate a variety of natural biomes, such as ocean or jungle. Considering the project is located in Arizona, it's shocking to go into a building and find yourself in a list reason forest it a coastal tide pool complete with a wave generator and, at one time, corral reefs. You are each given a pair of earphones since they're is machinery and the revert is amazing, but also to hear the introductory film they show explaining the project. In summary, I highly recommend anyone who likes nature it learning to go. It was well worth the paltry sum for entrance.
Wonderful place to visit! Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Guide was knowledgeable, group wasn't to large, and loved all the stories. Tour is almost completely indoor with only around 15 min of it outside so dress appropriately. I went in the winter and was glad I had a jacket even though used it very little. Great time!
Very interesting and informative. Anyone interested in biology, chemistry, geology, or science on any level will enjoy it, as will the kids.
Cool and entertaining! Skip the ocean tour. Not worth the $8 for 5 min talk about the plastic in the real ocean.
This was really interesting and definitely would love to come back in the future to see what else they are doing!
Very educational and definitely a cool sight p.s. the rainforest is closed because their doing tests of what would happen if there was a drought
A most fascinating place to visit! Our tour guide, Anita, was very educated and shared with us much on the history and current studies of the biosphere as well as the operations and details of utilities for the various functions of climate control within the facility. Overall it was a very rewarding adventure. Very much worth your time to visit!
Very special place to see one of a kind
The Biosphere is such an amazing and unique place! The tour guide there was fantastic at explaining each part of the Biosphere, and there was so much to see! You need to visit here if you are visiting a nearby city in Arizona, such as Tucson.
Pretty cool place to visit! My only issue is that you can only look around in a tour group, so about 30 people squeeze into each bio at a time. Worth coming at least once
Absolutely amazing. We went on an hour and a half long tour into all the zones of the Biosphere. Our guide was knowledgeable and funny and he was genuinely interested in all the research going on. I learned a ton. All their research and results are available on their website, too. If you're in Tuscon, I highly suggest you stop by.
I've done the public tour before, and it's an amazing experience. I just had my class do the school tour, and it's even more incredible. GET YOUR CHILD'S CLASS TO DO THIS FIELD TRIP. You will not be disappointed. Lots of hands on demonstrations, behind the scenes tours, up close excursions into the biomes. You get way closer than the regular tour. This is worth every penny, no matter how you see it.
This was so much fun. Very informative. Growing plant food without soil in the future, yikes. It felt like a scene from Willie Wonka, I wanted so much to pluck off one of those African coffee beans to keep me awake. I wish I knew to wear sneakers for the almost 150 stairs we encountered. Great place for a family outing.
Honestly it is pretty cool here. One of the few places in the Tucson area you see flowing water and green grass. There is a lot of standing so if your are older you may tire easy but they do have benches throughout the tour. It is also a nice escape during the summer from all of the heat. Apparently though it's fairly dead at the moment (though I couldn't tell) from experiments seeing how they could destroy the climate. Still super cool though. A must see in Tucson.
Fascinating tour. Also enjoyed chatting with Mike, the history guy. Take his supplemental tour if you have time.
First time in ten years. It was extremely educational. Had a wonderful time.
Very interesting place!! More people should visit to learn about the world we live in!
Stumbled on this on the way to Saguaro National Park. Fabulous,,way more than I expected.
Rain forest in the desert, what else could you ask for in AZ.
Biosphere 2 is an amazing attraction for young and old alike. It is very interesting the way they put their tours together. You will get an in depth study of many different sciences regarding our life here on earth and the ability to sustain life on a different planet. I highly suggest comfortable shoes.
Super cool!! Wish they would show more of the living quarters tho....
We took the 1 1/2 tour. It was full of information. I liked that we had hearing devices so I never missed anything our guide has to say. This is not a tour for anyone who needs aid in walking any distances.
I tinted the windows in the gift shop back in the early 1990s, It's like a little mini biosphere 2. The temperature at the top was hot as heck, like 120 plus degrees and at the bottom, on the gift shop sales floor, it was ice cold.
What an experience, we all enjoyed our day.
Well worth the time and money. Extremely interesting to tour. Lots of different areas of the earth in one place. Amazing all of the things you have to have to live in a place other than earth. Seems we take a lot for granted living on our planet.
It was a pretty disappointing tour Monday. I had come here originally in 1991 and dreamed of getting inside which, at the time, had been impossible. The older woman leading the group was nice, but not well versed or read on ther property, or the grounds, and couldn't answer most questions. Many of the exhibits were nonfunctional and were placed rather haphazardly about. Absolutely nothing was said of the major failures of the original projects, and the grounds felt unkempt and dilapidated. The ocean exhibits were really sad; and the ocean observatory reminiscent of a college students half empty, algae covered, stinking fish tank. Pro: plenty of parking.
Really cool but the guide could have made the tour more interesting.
The tour was informative and entertaining. I recommend it for anyone interested in the environment and engineering.
Easy to get to, free parking, nice guided tours, great history here that encourages you to pick up a book and read more about Biosphere 2.
We had so much fun at The Biosphere 2 today a great learning experience!
So interesting! The facts of climate change really scared me, but also made me realize why this place is so important. Maybe we can invite the White House to this place for a little education. Children get in cheap after all.
If you're interested in a self sustainable environment at all you should make it a point to see this if you're ever in the Tucson area. The tour is guided by ASU staff and very informative about the history of the biosphere.
Great activity for the person(s) who love science and history. High recommend taking the guided tour. Well worth your time and money.
Loved the history and the new experiments. $20.00 admission. Didn't try restaurant on site.
The biosphere was awesome! It's amazing to see such environments being created and maintained, even for research that will benefit our future.
Are you wondering if Biosphere 2 is worth the drive into the middle of nowhere? If you like science, experiments, and the idea of touring a giant self-contained ecosystem, then it's more than worth it! You'll be talking about your experience at Biosphere 2 for weeks after your visit because there's nothing else quite like it.
If it is your first time visiting Tucson. Just go. It is an amazing experience.
What a great place! Engaging, interesting. And informative! The tour guides are knowledgeable and entertaining. It’s difficult to leave without learning something.
This is an awesome place to visit. If you are not accustomed to walking or stair climbing, you will get a real work out. My Fitbit never stopped. Our guide walked pretty quickly which made an even more tiring day. We took all three excursions in one day. I do not recommended. The ocean is the best of the trips. Very informative. The ocean trip more than any other brings into focus our responsibility to the Earth. Eye opening! There is not much, if any information on the people who stayed two years in the bio sphere, unless you ask. There is a cafe, but the sandwiches are mediocre at best. You might want to bring your own sandwiches. Several places inside the planetarium portion is extremely hot and humid. A light jacket is in order if nippy outside. Not needed inside. The bio sphere is worth both time and money. We visited on a Fri. And were there for a little over five hours.
This is one of those things you need to see to believe, it is pretty amazing in real life. Inside one building is a rainforest, desert, ocean, controlled weather/atmosphere, and 10 full sized apartments (some of which have been repurposed), making it a world renowned research center. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, you can get discount tickets for entry and one hour tour with student or military ID.
Nice drive to the Biosphere. Discounts are available through the Tucson book, which I bought a 3-day pass through the app. The Biosphere is run through the University of Arizona so they are conducting scientific experiments to see how changes in climate are affecting our environment.
This place was amazing beyond words can describe. I loved every second of it and I will be going again. Check it out my guys and gals.
if you are into science or not, this is a very great place to visit in Tuscon. it's a guided 1 hour educational tour through the biosphere. the tour guide was very knowledgeable and funny too! loved every minute of this tour! this is a must if you are visiting Tuscon!
Very unique and cool place. If you buy your tickets online through the Tucson college site, you can get discounts. There's nothing like it!
What a great place to embrace your inner science nerd! In the early '90s when a group of pioneers agreed to be locked in this sealed biosphere for two years and fend for themselves, I remember thinking that they were weirdos. Now that U of AZ has taken it over and are performing important experiments and studies, the cool factor has increased!
This was our first time here. Although it was such a cool and unique experience it’s not quite worth the hefty cost. In theory what they do at this site is pretty cool and interesting but for what you pay you can do without. Our tour guide was very nice and he had some pretty cool jokes. It was extremely hot when we went and if you plan on going make sure to take your sunscreen, hat, and water bottle. They have refill stations throughout the facility. I wouldn’t consider this a kid friendly place or wheelchair accessible despite what they might advertise. If you have little ones it might be very hard for them to stay entertained. And for those who are handicapped and use a wheelchair the tour is rough and full of stairs, narrow paths, and gravel unpaved walk ways. Save yourself the trip it’s cool but not a must see.
Of course the Biosphere is amazing. It would be 5 stars.
Way cooler than I expected. Well worth the visit. The air inside is noticeably different and I think it's part of the experience.
This is where geeks go to have a good time.
Super cool place! The tour was informative and the tour guide was so nice. The tour went through the whole complex, I did wish there was more info on the scientists year that was spent in the biosphere
A really interesting working laboratory and an interesting piece of contemporary history all in one visit. I thought this was fascinating.
Archetictural and scientific wonder. A place with an amazing background. The tour of was very interesting and the opportunity to visit the different environments and the under workings was well worth it.
For all you nerds out there thinking about Life on Mars and contained ecosystems, the Biosphere is where it's at. Highly recommend!!
We had a Groupon for a visit here and it was definitely well worth it. The guide was very knowledgeable and both the past history and the current research usage of the facility are very interesting. The walking tour takes a little over an hour. If you have any mobility issues, be prepared that there is a lot of walking and quite a few stairs.
Great visit. Very busy, but we attended two tours. The general tour was a great if not too in depth view of the various areas. My favorite was the lung. Then we took a short tour of the beach. Neat and up close view of that ecosystem, with a knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide. I highly recommend a visit.
This place becomes more amazing every time I go.
A must see if you are in Arizona it’s in the middle of nowhere but well wort the drive the tour is very informative
Really good guided tour. It was my dream to come here
The driving trip seemed long however, there was plenty to talk about on the way back. A great working Laboratory. Most enjoyable for the whole family as a day trip. Enjoy
Not that many people but still stood in line for well over an hour just to get in. When it was finally our turn to purchase tickets there was a 1.5 hour wait for the next tour. You must take a guided tour to see anything. The tour is about 2 hours long. Since we allocated 2 hours for the biosphere, we just left. A wasted 3.5 hours. Hour drive there and back and 1.5 in a fairly short line. I hate to see what it’s like in a crowd. Extremely inefficient. No wonder the project failed. They can’t even process visitors in a timely and efficient way! Also the timeline that is posted on the wall while you wait, is in reverse order as you go through line.
Educational and historical. The story of Biosphere 2 past and the current research as part of the University of Arizona is a good success story.
This place is incredible! A fun and educational guided tour through the biosphere. The tour lasts between an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes but if you get there early enough there are exhibits you can explore on your own. Wear your walking shoes because the tour takes you on a mile and a half long trip above and below ground.
If I could give this 10 stars, I would. Interesting, informative, fun. Delightful tour guide named Danielle. We highly recommend this intriguing project.
Biosphere 2 is a must see stop! Such an interesting place. Everyone is guaranteed to learn something new here. Our guide was very knowledgeable and open to questions. Super friendly staff. One sweet gentleman even went back into a plant POD, included in my pictures here, so I could take his picture! He then gave us all kinds if info about how the pod works and how they study to grow plants in space. It was like an additional small private tour! I like the fact that they are still in research mode. They work with other institutions such as the Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific, to learn more and more about our diverse ecosystems, and how to protect and have them flourish for future generations. Though not part of the tour, I found more "in depth" information about the history of Biosphere 1 on YouTube. Knowing how it all started, was very interesting.
Very interesting. Took the family tour which was less informative yet kept moving so the young ones didnt lose interest.
Mark provided an excellent and informative tour through Biopshere 2. The continued research that it's still ongoing provides much needed insight into the climate changes. My children really enjoyed it and were seeing parallels with The Martian movie.
The tour guide-Shelby-spoke as if it was her first day on the job and had no training or knowledge. The main reason we wanted to visit was to tour the rainforest which the website fails to mention is closed until 2020. It was a huge disappointment to drive 70 miles and not be told until starting the tour that it was closed. Had I known, I would have left without buying tickets. When I mentioned this to the person that sold us the tickets, she showed absolutely no empathy-not even a "sorry". We were actually going to upgrade to a family membership on our way out but after the disappointing visit I wouldn't ever bother making the trek out here again.
I took the under the glass tour, this is a good tour for kids. It looks like this facility is primarily used for educational tours and camps.
Hayden was an amazing guide!! My 18 yr old daughter my wife and myself got shown around by him and we wish we had gotten a pic of the place because it's amazing and the things they are still doing are so interesting!!
Had an excellent time i will be looking into a retreat there and hope to see the new changes they are doing with the rainforest
Great science Center. You can only take water on the tour no Gatorade or sugar drinks. Take sunscreen.
Visited here with my 2 children (ages 17 and 12) and they loved it. I wish I remembered the name of our guide, he was excellent and the tour was really informative. Definitely would recommend!
Super fun. Especially if you're a science geek. But, enjoyable on many levels. Lots of walking.
Fun, interesting day trip. Very cool to see what they're studying.
Incredible experience! The staff are impeccably trained and the ticket prices are more than reasonable for the education and cultural value.
It was awesome! Been on my bucket list for years. So interesting!
Great place North of Tucson to visit. The tour was informative and also very fun to see the different areas inside.
An awesome place. The facility is unique in the kind of reseach that can be done here since the environment can accurately be controlled. Many interesting scientific research are ongoing and the possibilities are endless.
It was very interesting how they live there for a year
We really enjoyed this place it was interesting to see. The staff was very nice and the tour we chose was geared towards families so the guide interacted well with the kids but also with the parent's.
Such a cool and unique place to visit. Tours give an opportunity to learn about the history of the building and what it is used for now. Very knowledgeable staff and interesting exhibits.
Loved the tour and facility! Very cool and educational. Big drawback was if you're the last tour of the day they don't keep the cafe open to get water and the gift shop closes too. I know the hours are till 4pm but if your tour ends at like 3:30 or so and you go look at the living areas or under the ocean you don't get time in the gift shop or to get a bottle of water. Other than that it was fun!!
Very fun spot for the family. Wish I would have planned on doing the history tour as well. Parents beware, the main tour isnt wheelchair or stroller accessible. Lots of fun stories and good info. I'll go again.
This is a really interesting place to tour and learn about the science and history behind the project. The structure itself and surroundings are getting a but worn, though, and could use some repair in some areas.
Really neat place to visit. Wouldn't recommend for little kids because the tour is done with headphones on. The tour itself is not wheelchair accessible and expect a good amount of walking and stairs.
Great tourist attraction year round. The tours unfortunately dismiss much of the original work that the biosphere was built for, and many of the guides seem poorly educated about the facility, but still a fascinating place to visit.
Claudio was a tour guide legend among mortals. He made this trip through the biosphere 2 facility both fun and safe with his witticisms and warnings. Truly an amazing experience that was well worth the small fee!
