A great experience with lots of aviation history and planes. Although the museum is not very large, the depth of information and stories found within is great.

This is located in pioneer park. It is a smaller museum but does display some interesting exhibitions.

Great and interesting collection, every piece tells its story. Many models and historic objects. Friendly and knowledgable staff. They normally open during Summer. If you visit during off season, call them ahead of time. They might be able to specially open for you (just like me). Even though the museum looks a bit small comparing to the number of shown objects, it is packed with aviation history. Many of them are from previous aircraft accident. I highly recommend this museum for those who love aviation and those who study aircraft accident investigation.

Seen the museum w/ the kids and they actually enjoyed it, thus i enjoyed it due to them. We all had a wonderful time... When i was a little kid w/ the elder brothers we use to climb the dimond-domed bldg. against security guards wishes, never did make it to the top. That was when they also had the tank transport outside across the walkway... Oh yeah there was a mid-sized plane there as well that they would allow kids to scamper all over... What-ever happened to that gadgettry, it was fun. We kids had all the Real Toys of Real LIFE.

Very worthwhile to attend while you are at the park. All kinds of planes, helicopters, and history. I saw and was able to sit in a Huey helicopter which was used during the Vietnam war. Very sobering experience looking at all of the past sorts of air flight, including a Hoovercraft. Lots of time was well spent setting this up. I was totally amazed. It's costs 4 bucks per person after 5:00pm. I was there before 5:00pm, but still my wife and I left a donation.

It's kinda small compared to other air museums we've seen. The kids enjoyed the visit. We did support the local economy.
