DESCRIPTION

Here you will be able to see the feddbacks of people who bought the products and services of Hammer Museum (Museum) in Alaska.

Right now this firm receives a score of 4.5 over 5 and the score is based on 55 reviews.

You must have seen that the average of ratings is almost the best one, and it's based on a very large number of feddbacks, so we may be quite sure that the score is quite credible. If many people have bothered to value when they are happy, it works.

REVIEWS OF Hammer Museum IN Alaska

Steven Rightnar

who would have known there were so many hammers. The staff is super nice and knowledgeable.

Claus Hybertz Pedersen

Fun place all about hammers

Mark Henry Samuel

Nice museum. Great place to visit. Check out the chairs in the courtyard. You'll know what I mean.

Jasmin Lopez

Most of the times I enjoy museums, but this one for some reason was just boring to me. The only thing I really enjoyed was their outside patio area.

Anna Siegel

Love the building and courtyard and have had a great time at both events I've been to here.

Kimberley Danielle

Tessie Weir

Enjoyed this Art Museum in LA, there is a simple things Cafe on the 2nd Floor with some cool spinner chairs outside the cafe. Definitely a must see.

M.J. Kang

Amazing exhibitions, terrific weekend offerings and the movies they show are well curated. This is a free museum of contemporary art! What are you waiting for? Go! There is reasonable lot parking and there is metered parking nearby. On Sundays, the metered parking is generally free, but read the signs, just in case.

Onirica Lovelace

This is a beautiful gallery art and free! Very kind and beautiful people.

Rory Devine

My favorite museum in LA, and it's free

alex arciniega

This museum is my favorite in Los Angeles. They often display works of living artists which is a wonderful way to support the art community in Los Angeles. The vibe is warm and friendly, while being really hip which is a hard balance to strike. Parking is accessible and very family friendly.

Dan Mitnick

Extraordinary fortunate to have this institution in Los Angeles. Great space for our perceptions and the auditorium is amazing. Also because of a large endowment every event is free. Really interesting place to meet interesting people my only issue is don't get to get there often enough

Ray Zhou

Really cool place

Kirsten Hudson

The best museum in LA.

Ethan Coco

Well curated, although the validation for parking is a bit more obscure... Then again that's not why you go. Went for the Made in L.A. 2018 exhibit. It's refreshing to be able to open your mind with the weird and the strange and maybe catch yourself some inspiration. I definitely recommend going into the Hammer Vault next to gallery's 1,2,3 & (I think also) 4.

jonathan ohayon

They have beautiful paint, and some contemporary art that i don’t really get..

Anne Cam

good collections of contemporary art, although some exhibits went over my head. perhaps I could appreciate it better if I was an art major

Masoud S

The structure, view and exhibitions are always delightful and informative.

Brad Wilson

gerard charles

Very good small museum with a collection of high quality classic art mixed with very contemporary shows. All the staff in the galleries were knowledgeable and able to answer questions. It was not as easy to get into as it should be and we were told to walk around the block rather than just across the courtyard. Admission is free. Good educational activities for children.

Sarah Alice

My favorite Los Angeles museum. The Hammer always has the most thought provoking exhibits, my favorites have been the Radical Women exhibit and the current Made in L.A. If you’re visiting LA make a day out of your visit. Start by taking a tour of the UCLA campus and their beautiful grounds (complete with a botanical garden and their own museum), then walk down a beautiful street filled with shops and cafes down to the Hammer.

William Peters

A beautiful experience, staffed by a very professional & helpful staff!

Caroline Jackson

Wonderful experience with a wide range of exhibitions and in a beautifully architectural space.Definitely a must see.

Thomas Wotring

Great works. Kids loved it as well.

Karen Kurokawa

Went for to he summer concert in the JazzPop series. Lovely to sit

richard cardenas

Lanie Dean

This is an intimate museum with easy-to-manage collections (mainly revolving/temporary collections) and a nice new restaurant. I happened to catch up with the quarterly short film contest hosted by the Scola brothers at night. They would show the first two minutes of a movie first, and then the audience decided whether to watch the rest. Fun, very interesting.

nik b

This place was such an unexpected surprise. I love museums with evening hours and the permanent collection boasts some incredible gems by Rembrandt and Toulouse Latrec. The current exhibitions, works by Victor Hugo and an Adrian Piper retrospective were beautifully curated. It wasn't crowded at all tonight and I have no complaints.

Vicki Liao

Nice quiet museum. Ping pong table upstairs is great! Free admission but parking is not.

Mekya Meks

I liked spinning in the Spun Chair. Ate at Audrey's, very expensive. Free admission to galleries.

Shadow Nak

Free admission to enjoy priceless pieces of are is what Hammer offers. Modern to the classics are covered. Small groups of collections are scattered across two primary floors of displays. Rembrandt to Marvel are all here for you to enjoy. The classics is a small area while most of the collections are modern. Two hours is plenty of time to see it all. Including the newest piece from UCLA visuals. We will go back again soon. Bring the family and there is a new nice restaurant on the patio floor. Make it a date.

Zane McCann

Gonna give it 4 stars for being a unique presence off the beaten path. Unfortunately was closed, off-season. Can't say anymore about the museum... didn't go in.

Jim Williams

Jake Novinger had one of the largest collections in the lower 48 (Millersburg PA) this rivaled the size. One sid note the cool kinetics were awesome!!

Maria Camila Trujillo

Cool galleries, good selection of art work. I saw Sarah Lucas work and the installation was diverse and interactive

Brian Pickard

Free admission to see works by Monet, van Gogh, Moreau, Rembrandt and more...what a surprise!

Dave Chambers

One of the most fun things in Haines!

Fred White

Cristobal Rendon

Low rating is partly due to taste, I must be honest. I just never seem to make or find meaning in the art here. However, I can't give this place too low a score because everyone that works here is super helpful and committed to making the place a joy to visit. Still, be warned that this place is hella "modern" art.

Paul Filenko

What a gem. Great range of works. Armand’s original collection is incredible.

Jim M

Emma Banks

really incredible museum. artist walk-throughs are free and a must. gorgeous architecture and easily accessible in terms of walking around westwood.

Audra Lucas

The art is always so different but usually there is some kind of political and or conceptual art to see. I love that it is so diverse. The entrance is free and the parking is below, pretty cheap. There is a place to eat and the bathrooms are clean.

Kimberly Bell

I enjoyed my visit here in this art-eccentric themed museum. There are also a lot of restaurants to choose from. There are a lot of things to see in this museum. I will definitely visit again.

Ethan DeSon

A fantastic free art collection. The staff are very nice and helpful, and the hours are great! Contains exhibits from major artist (think Van Gogh), and creative contemporary pieces that are memorable and entertaining. Don't miss it!

Kelly Franett

The museum's permanent collection is small but breathtaking, Van Gogh, Degas, Sargent, Daumier and many more...stunning. The contemporary collection is provoking too. We stopped at the new restaurant , looked at the menu but was more than we wanted to spend at a museum. Plenty of lower price options in the neighborhood. Great bookstore/ gift shop interesting selection. Over all a great place, free admission,$7 parking but they really need a simple kiosk selling coffee and cookies.

Craig Parker

What an interesting place. Who knew there were so many different kinds of hammers.

Scott Wilson

Edward Eigerman

Rachel Hughes

I really loved the intimacy of this museum. The restaurant was also very pleasant.

Delaney Strickland

Awesome, beautiful and weird art exhibits. They even had a Van Gogh and Monet. There's also cheap parking on-site.

S. Kumar

Very nice museum. Good special exhibits and very friendly staff. Free admission.

Cassandra Hibbs

The hammer is a world class modern art museum located in the heart of Westwood. It has excellent exhibitions and architecture, and would arguably be worth a visit even if the art was less notable. The fact that it's free for students doesn't hurt either.

durrell randle

The Hammer museum is a cool place with a lot of design I like the art pieces that all around the people that work there are not very intrusive which is good yet they are also helpful so definitely big plus there usually getting in and out is not a problem just make sure you're prepared to pay for parking because unless you're going to park on the street you're going to pay

Carlos Paredes

It is a hit or miss depending on what is being exhibited and your personal tastes in art.

Charlotte Jones

Museums rock! Especially one filled with contemporary thought provoking and interactive art. A hidden gem in Los Angeles. Make art not war.

CASLIN HAWKINS

This was a terrible place! It was offensive to women, and in one section of the museum they had cigarette statues that were terribly weird. The staff were very weird and rude! I would never come here again, if you’re reading this don’t come here, it will scar you for life!

Swag Music

Extraordinary museum. Gorgeous art.

Adalgiza Chemountd

Great exhibits. Good energy on opening night. Lively music

Cloudsley Falconbridge

K-con! A super-awesome k-pop concert.

Ricard Barrett

An artist's heaven! Everything you need or never knew you needed, and more! Awesome selection, decent prices. It's the supercenter of art supplies!

Chloe Nicole

Very nice, free museum! Easy parking. Multiple, interesting exhibitions. Came to see one of my favorite impressionist paintings in the permanent collection but was not disappointed by the rest of the museum. Will definitely go back! :)

CC Chu

Interesting museum. Nice opem space

Plumeria Bodhisattva

Ashur Joseph

Brenda Delapaz

All latest artists in LA. Wonderful

Marina Milosevic

I really love this museum. It's small enough to visit and see all the galleries without experiencing museum fatigue. Great art and always free. They host fun music events and movie showings often. And the gift shop is awesome!

Larry Spinak

Terrific museum, friendly staff, lots of inviting public space, and free!

T J

David Medow

Silvia Ardila-Jimenez

This is a great place for contemporary art exhibitions. They have a couple of different and interesting ones throughout the year. They also have a beautiful courtyard where you can sit and enjoy reading a book or chatting with a friend. There's no fee to visit the exhibitions or enter the courtyard. They also have a gift shop with visiting. I fully enjoy it every time.

Mikki B

It's more fun than expected. Not much else going on Haines.

Hammer Museum is a place worthy of a 3 star rating. What I like about this place was its marvelous pieces of Victor Hugo and the way everything is organized is pleasant for close viewing. I just had 2 problems of the place. Before I address these problems, know that it is a free admission to enter the gallery. My first problem is parking. It costs money to park, taking "free" out of the picture. It is also in the middle of the Santa Monica St having further issues in traffic. The way to get to the Hammer Museum is inconvenient. The second problem is the staff. When you enter the art galleries, it is empty. No visitors there, moreover, there are 5+ observers in the room with you, providing an uncomfortable vibe. I know it is to keep the paintings in check, but come on? These people are wasting precious time standing around when no one is there! You only need 1 or 2 persons to walk around and keep the so called security at bay! Anyways, this museum is worthy of its 3 star rating because of creepiness and inconvenience.

Irma Zandl

NOTHING about the Hammer works for me. The galleries, the art and vibe are off. The only installation I really liked was the staircase mural.

Qtd Feelings

Wonderful art pieces. Would 100% recommend.

Maria Matsas

Aside that this is a great museum we love it's garden with spinning chairs, ping pong tables, and also a souvenir store where kids spend a lot of time exploring. You can play with all the toys that they sell.

Eric Thatcher

A nice movie theater and $10 a film. You can't beat it.

Allyne Andrade

The collection is small but I really like the place.

Yufeng Liu

Under renovations now, but the Hammer is such a gem in Westwood. There's lots of nice brunch places nearby, not to mention the new cafe that has opened in the courtyard -- very chic. Good selection of modern and contemporary pieces as well as a constantly cycling exhibition of current artists. Well curated and always worth a trip to see what's new!

Byron Johnson

Wonderful exploration into art and complete serenity. Displays of art that touched my mind and spirit . A fantastic place to take the family or special lady.

nikos liddy

It's such a wonderful museum. If you have free time and want some culture, please go. its free and it's easy to find. On top of that the gallery where they have all their paintings, they have 3 Van Goghs and they have a Rembrandt!!! And their other exhibits are really interesting. It stretches what you think can be art.

Erik Miller

More than you ever thought you could want to know about hammers, and way more fun than you thought a hammer museum could be.

allyse cody

Jan C

I wanted to like it more but frankly some of the exhibits were in my opinion kind of lame. There has to be an objective standard no matter how individualist art needs to be. I also realize that it is without charge and that the purpose is in part to give new artists a start. Viewed in that light it is enjoyable. Building was a little difficult to figure out but quite interesting too.

Anthony Ma

Stopped by here briefly, didn't get to see much, but has a nice vibe.

Scooter Edge

Erich Schmidt

Some of the Best curated contemporary art in LA. Something for everyone.

Shawn Armstrong

Cool little museum with interesting information about hammers.

Georg Bergthaler

Tyler Overton

Amazing collections. Shame that some staff were a little short with key information, as some employees gave contrasting information regarding photos and bottled water that was sealed and unopened in the galleries.

Wayne Clayton

Otto Kimba

Under construction, but still a fair amount to see. Cash is needed for parking structure. Half of the employees were visibly yawning. That took away from the experience a little.

Ilia Forouzan

Small and free. Decent Inpressionist permanent collection.

Seth Parker Woods

Wonderful experience with a wide range of exhibitions and in a beautifully architectural space.

Elijah Dittersdorf

One of the better museums and event spots on the westside.

Phillip Le Gault

It's free but there's not much there. There are two Rembrandts, a Van Gogh and a Sargent. The modern art is really disappointing beside a few small pieces. If you've got one or two hours to kill you might as well but don't plan a day for it, Uber will probably cost you more than parking given how small the place is so go on your own.

Aaron Moreno

Small but important and valuable collection. Additional exhibits were captivating, drawing you in to experience every detail. Exceeded my expectations...and admission is free!

Jayne Reiter

Fascinating, take the time to learn how hammers were used by various industries. All ages can find something special here. Check out the wife hammer!

Erin Allese

Always a delight to check out this space! Rotating exhibitions approx every 12 weeks (give or take). Always free.

Neil Lieberman

Another fantastic free museum on the Westside. The exhibits change regularly. I love the Made In LA exhibits. It is a great place to take kids as they have events for the young ones on a regular basis. Plenty of places to have lunch within walking distance but people seem to like the cafe on premises as well.

Thomas Paul

There are a lot of things to see and do in this museum. The place is a perfect place for bonding with your kids. It is also educational, too. I definitely recommend this place.

Stephen J Merino

I was impressed first time there going back today

ella durkee

We LOVE the HAMMER MUSEUM!! These folks are so hospitable and the hammers on display are so unique! Who would have known that a museum of HAMMERS was so awesome!?!?!? Be sure to stop in each week to find out which one Sofia chooses as HAMMER OF THE WEEK!!! (ALSO: our mascot Salmon Ella got some great smooches from these folks. Truly, this is a site worth your while!!!!!)

Alexis Johnson

Saw a concert here and cant wait to go back and walk the exhibits

Chris Valle

A small but well-curated selection of modern & contemporary work.

hernan vargas

I guess I picked a bad day to go, they only had a small section open and the art was not impressive at all. They didn't have a good place to eat either. It seem the whole place was under remodeling. Hopefully the next time it will be better. But it won't be soon. All in all I was very dissapointed.

Teri Akin

This place offers different experience each time you come here. You can spend time with company to share your impression or just spent hours walking here alone and enjoying the art masterpieces on your own. Be careful and don't loose your sense of time, it's just too magical place to leave fast.

Karina Arias

Very interesting art, but beautiful location

Saugat Roy

Daniel Will-Harris

I LOVE the Hammer! It's absolutely one of my favorite museums in LA. It's small enough to enjoy in a few hours. The shows change regularly so there's always something new. The curation is thoughtful and the presentation is beautiful! Parking is $6 under the building, and admission is free. There's an excellent gift shop. And don't forget Thomas Heatherwick's playful "Spun" chairs that let you spin around like a child (at any age!).

Brenda Croskey

It has captions to go paintings and photographs which helps if you're not painting consicure.

Mier Cat

The only thing that is annoying is that the museum volunteers will keep telling you not to touch something, not to pass by something ... When you are not going to touch or pass. Hmm the rest is great!

Ana Pamela Arvizo

This is an amazing complete gallery to appreciate amazing works. I went to see but when I arrived a band was playing and I stayed at the event, they had drinks and a pretty nice decoration! Definitely going back soon ♥

Jodi Kellis

An amazing place! Who knew there were so many hammers in the world? Every job requires at least one specific hammer to do the job right. This collection is very entertaining.

Nancy Williams

Very unique and fun. Worth the stop!

David Dial

GreT display of all types of hammers.

Jerry Parker

A nice family friendly place. There is a bar area and restaurant we're you can enjoy a drink in the courtyard. The museum has wonderful pieces of art. Best of all entry is free! However be parking is not free, although you may find street parking if you are lucky.

Luz Ornelas

Would be 3.5 stars. Parking was $7 in their garage. Entry to the museum is free which is great. Just check in at the reception desk. Only three collections/installations were available for viewing. Courtyard is nice and they have a restaurant.

Kristen Bateman

This is a fun little museum and for five dollars per person entry fee the price cannot be beat! The staff was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable and it was a lot of fun taking some time wandering around and looking at all of the different hammers. Some of them even had unique stories that made the tour more interesting. If you are in Haines I would definitely recommend this as a spot to go!

A H

Amazing art selection, beautiful architecture and fine cafe. What more could you want to spend a relaxed and inspiring afternoon. Love this place and will be back!

Oleksandra Kazymirska

Awesome museum! Always great exhibitions!

Scott Goldman

Center of calm in Westwood, with free admission & spacious courtyard.

David Kazmierski

A good small museum with interesting art. Next time you're in the west side looking for something to do, it should be Hammer Time.

Latasha Young

The restaurant inside is great and the staff is excellent

Ned Weinshenker

Very interesting exhibits in addition to the Hammer collection.

Donald

Awesome experience! I was there for a music festival and the place looked and sounded great. Plus, you can bring in your own food!

Doria Rosa

We saw Sarah Lucas exhibit. Sweet of them to bring it. What a treat.

bp perez

It is a cool spot to see some provocative art and they even have quite a nice bar area

Jason Buhle

Great space with provocative art.

Ben Spitz

The exhibits change frequently, so you can come back again and again! The courtyard is a fantastic place to hang out.

Mark Wilson

BEWARE!!! Sometimes you go and it's all closed off with a corner somewhere with a few black and white photos. At other times you hit the jackpot eg the Made in LA shows or their current Dirty Protest show. Their permanent masters collection is always worth a look. Gustav Moreau. Lovely spaces and courtyard. Restaurant/bar. Visit by daytime and get validation for the basement car park. Nice staff. Good shop where all the tee shirts are only in Medium. But check website carefully to avoid the wrong dates as it can be a pointless schlepp.

Jagath Weerasinghe

Good art. Must visit place.

Adam Papagan

Great programming. I go to the film screenings as often as I can.

J Gibbs

Better than i expected.

Nathan Adams

If I could, I'd give it a sixth star for the staff. Who would think a hammer museum would be so interesting? It just goes to show that necessity is the mother of invention, and the incredible creativity of people when faced with a problem.

Anchit Tandon

An epitome of modern art.

Isaac Graff

If you like hammers, this is the place for you. If you don't like hammers, you might not like this place.

Sandip Sharma

Ana Blanco

Awesome museum. Interactive artworks. Got there by coincidence and went out super happy

Gerver Hernandez

Loved it! This place offers one of the most extraordinary paintings I've seen or art in general for free. We used the metro to get here not sure if parking is free or available. The monitors are nice and friendly also. Quiet and very pleasant place to relax and have a personal time.

Angela Arunarsirakul

Visited the Hammer Museum for the first time last week even though I first studied at UCLA over 9 years ago. I wish that I had visited the museum sooner! It’s such a nice place to relax and indulge in some great art pieces.

David T

Interesting programming, always free admission, and a great outdoor cafe. Worth a visit!

Alex Sorkin

Mike Fuller

Didn't know Hammer museum hosts events like the one I went a month ago. The event is called "Arts Party: Wasteland" which had some art workshops going on every floor. They had poetry readings inspired by the art pieces that you see in their galleries. They also had other workshops like keychain-making, stenciling, and even making some head pieces you can use for your rave festivities. They also had live music going on provided by their guest DJs so you know a museum can definitely be lit.

Todd Hunt

Wow, that's a lot of hammers. Great museum.

Jason Pavlow

The museum is currently under construction so half of its closed off. They took away a lot of the seating in the courtyard but the cafe is still open and they still have the really fun chairs!

American Girl

The whole ambiente at the Hammer was superb. The courtyard, the use of plants, colors, lights, and space all contribute to a relaxed, happy atmosphere. The Made in LA exhibition concept is a wonderful way to support the arts. Supporting the arts is a wonderful way to illuminate our society and to encourage higher, deeper, continued thinking about our world. Its beauty. Its shortcomings.

Tom McHugh

What can I say... over 2400 hammers on display

Yang Jia

Free and interesting.

Carl Gerhardstein

Enjoyed the “hammer time”. Very unique and well done. Knowledgeable staff. Political hammer was our favorite.

River Today

This place is so awesome, I never even got to look at art, I danced all night. You will find lots of well dressed artsy people here. A lot of the artsy people can dance too. The lady that took my bag at the front helped me write a song. I love this place, you will too. Take a friend or someone you want to impress.

Cassie Ronish

Relatively small but it was a nice free place to stop for an hour. The museum space itself was nice and there were some interesting pieces in the galleries. But: So. Many. Guards. The security guard coverage was so high that it was unnerving. It felt like there were 3x as many staff as visitors. I’d be curious to know why.

Cheryl Kaufman

Lots of hammers. Worth the $5.00 entrance fee.

T King

classic section is awesome esp with early works of the masters.

Slalommander Generic

If you've ever held a hammer or been curious about hand tools, this is the place to go. The most amazing collection of hammers and hammer like tools you'll ever see. I had no idea how cool a hammer museum could be. They even have some nobody knows what there're for, maybe you do.

trish wilson

Who knew there were so m as NY kinds of hammers. My husband in carpenters heaven

J Snider

Beautiful museum, it's worth visiting to just have a coffee and sit in the courtyard. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They were in a transition stage with only one open exhibit but it was very interesting.

Justin Lew

Once you get in there you want to take a hammer off the wall and make it your final resting place. Pure tourist trap.

Jan Tesař

Very nice muzeum, takes about hour and half for all 3 galleries, admission free for all

Charlie Leathers

Free museum that occasionally has concerts. What's not to love

Burton Kendall

The Hammer has two excellent shows and a pretty good permanent collection. And a nice holiday gift from The Hammer is free admission!!!

Jason

Wonderful gallery, great exhibits. I feel like the Hammer is a place that a lot of people miss out on. Its a must see for people who love art and live in or are traveling through LA

Donna Wise

Fun place to visit in Haines. Only $5 admission. Don't miss the things outside in the yard!

Matthew Best

This museum has a permanent collection of a small number of European paintings. Other galleries have modern art. The building is undergoing some form of façade renovation, and although it is covered, it is difficult to see. All open galleries are accessible through the central courtyard. You can stay here for two hours and see all this. The museum is free to enter, the museum is parked for $7 and is valid for 3 hours.

Mike Haro

Very interesting. About every kind of hammer you can imagine. They rotate displayed hammers since they have more than they space for, so you might see different hammers on different visits.

Bob Walker

P Diddy

A cool place to hang, for Free!

Perfect woman salon 6111 Reseda Blvd Tarzana ca

Super cool stuff to see recommends you have pictures of this amazing natural life.

Bespoke Media Marketing

Always fun with great exhibits

Lisa Bower

Estefane Fialloss

A lot of fun activities for the kids. Went on a field trip with my 10 year old during an event and it was just awesome, this place is rather small but I guess it depends if your going during an event that has fun activities. Have no idea if there's parking but there are buses so yeah, overall it was nice...

Keyhan Almir

I give it a five star, but I don't understand why there has to be art in the sexual stuff. There was this one where there were mannequins or something in different positions, all with an unused cigarettes in their bum hole(sorry to sound explicit). I feel like art is the beauty of making something creative and abstract, different, interesting, not overly sexualized. I don't know, maybe I'm being biased or maybe it's just personal opinion.

Yuge Ji

Good museum. Forgive my numbness in contemporary art but some exhibitions seem like asylums. The courtyard is a very nice place to relax and concentrate, much better than a Starbucks.

Brooks Long

Cee Maller

Peaceful surrounded by a busy city

Forrest Walsh

I saw a beautiful Victor Hugo special performance here. It was amazing!

Najoa B.

I loved it here!! Some of the art was weird but I liked that haha I highly recommend it!

Ponyo Buttersnaps

They have something for everybody! Lovely well kept facilities as well.

alicia Hernandez

Great museum easy to go great atmosphere

Liana Cuffman

Jim Carlson

I appreciate classical art and very much enjoyed those in the Hammer collection. With regard to the modern art, I need some words about why a piece was selected for display, not just a title or even lacking that.

Shahab Hajighasemi

Perfect! The admission is free! Only pay for parking!

Mitchell Brown

This was a awesome little museum.

Cocoa Starrion

I don't know much about art, but I still think it is worth visiting. The atmosphere inside is nice. And the admission is free. You should definitely try the 677 dollar chair.

icup cns

So great that its free, its also not to big so your not overwelmed.

Tanya Widmark

We really enjoyed our visit to Haines and especially the Hammer Museum, it was so interesting that we took about fifty pictures to take home with us. Thank you for the visit. Tanya & John Widmark Granisle, BC Canada

Richard McDowell

Saw Victor Hugo's work in ink... very nice! Possibly doing abstract before its time. Staff was great - friendly - helpful!

Nancy rose

Its always a good time at the hammer.

Trish Adams

hitesh Nemade

Many bizzare (maybe somewhat creepy) works. But that's just my opinion.

Kristopher Bakhtiar

great, ambient environment for studying

Jadei

They got great collections esp Van Gogh's, Moreau, Gauguin, etc. You should visit and see it with your naked eyes!

Marcelo Orellana

Family Day, Art beyond borders was very heart feltanf with all the controversy going on around us is this day and age it was very humbling to have experienced this with our little ones and watch them enjoy themselves and learn ❤️ to love with words.

Geert Van Limbergen

Marco Evangelista

nice little museum. right by UCLA so theres lots of other stuff to see and spots to eat. Spent about 2 hours walking through the museum and had a drink in the little restaurant they had there.

Rosh E

Great place to spend a day and enjoy the art of different artists in one place. Staff are really nice and in general it’s a great experience. Park in the flat rate parking and enjoy the area after the museum. The street parking is limited to 2 hours and it’ll be more expensive. There are some good cafes in the neighborhood

Mimi Lauducci

Great Sara Hughes exhibition.

Colleen M-E

Went to their Bloomsday event. Wonderful actors doing readers' theater performances of five sections of the book, great music by live band afterward. Guinness on tap and Jameson's whiskey available plus water and soft drinks. Only improvement I'd wish for is food besides chips available. Lovely night.

M D

A gem if you like modern art such as postmodern. Some of the installations use audio visuals and some are interactive. The highlight for me was the staff. They were exceptionally helpful, eager to guide and inform. Most seemed young, possibly UCLA students, and their enthusiasm made the experience that much more rewarding. Location is great, too, as it is in the midst of restaurants and crossroads and easily walkable from UCLA and other areas.

W0l3nStream

Wonderful exhibits. I had a lovely time and if given the chance would love to go again.

Rémy Grignon

Nice little museum in the little of Westwood. They have rotating exhibitions so you might want to check whats on display on the Internet beforehand.

Family Casales

It's under construction but it's open Is nice place with a lot of activities It has a theater

Jo C

Such a novel subject matter. Learnt a lot. Go now - you won't regret it
