Oh my gosh, what a great informative, hands on experience in the days of the gold Rush. It's a great 2 hour journey. Starts out under the Alaskan pipeline, with great information. Then our host took us all for a train ride into the gold dredge 8 town. We actually panned for REAL GOLD! It was great, I panned and got $21.00 in gold , my wife got $19.00, and you get to keep it. We put ours together with her mother's, and her brother's, and they made her a gold necklace. She loved it. At the end of the trip they have complimentary cookies, and coffee. Anyone coming to Fairbanks, this is a must to do! Kids are welcome. Great gift shop at the station . Thank you!
