Such a cool place! We had a very tasty martini in the coolest ice glass. These sculptures are incredible. Definitely a great thing to see for all members of the family including children. You even get to see ice sculpture demonstrations when you first walk in. Worth the money.

Beautiful place in Alaska! Very cold, of course, but so worth the trip. We got to sit at the bar and have a drink from an ice cup. Pretty cool! There are even beds/rooms you could order and stay in for the night. Sounds a bit sadistic lol but it may be nice for someone!

For a tourest trap this was amazing. The apple-tinis were fun but hard to drink out of ice! We were allowed enough time to enjoy and after the first pulse of everyone coming in we had enough space to enjoy. Worth the time if you are coming out to the hot springs already.

What beautiful piece of art work. Must visit when in Alaska. Ice sculptures at it's best. They provide jackets as it freezing cold when inside.

This is an indoor ice museum in the Chena Hot Springs resort. Mine was mixed experience. We went for last slot tour at 7 pm, hence it was crowded, so we had to wait a bit at each location for a good picture. However next day I observed that afternoon tours were less crowded. Try the Apple Martini drink. Sculptures here aren’t great, but good. However the lighting which makes them awesome.

Very neat museum. Well worth money and hour drive from fairbanks to see sculptures. Must go in with tour group, so check times. Take advantage of seeing both the museum and Chena hot springs. Take gloves.

My friend and I were in Fairbanks for a weekend and were trying to find something fun to do for the day. Surprisingly, this place is as fun for adults as it is for kids.

Great ice sculptures. First experience of this kind for me. The tours happen every other hour. Make sure you check the tour time and reach 10 minutes before it begins. 15$/head entry fee.

This is a very unique place. I was really impressed. It's near the Chena Hot Springs. It's not very big so it doesn't take long. Note you must go on one of the tours each day.

Mixed bag review. Would I make a trip specifically to go to the Aurora Ice Museum? Absolutely not. Would I go to the museum if I was going to visit the hot springs? Sure, why not. It's all just ice sculptures with no real history behind it so it's more like an ice gallery. Which is... *Cool* I guess. ❄

We made the scenic drive up to Chena Hot Springs to check out the Ice Museum (couldn’t enjoy the hot springs because we had littles with us). Our guide did a great job of sharing the history and adding humor to the tour. The sculptures were amazing, and we loved hearing about how they were created. The appletini was the perfect end to this stop. I would definitely recommend!

If you're in the area like we were out was worth a look. Would not be a place to plan as a highlight with soo many beautiful natural sights to see.

This was an experience I've never had. We showed up 10mins before the last tour of the day (which we didn't know about) and were met with very chill staff who happily accepted us on the tour. The tour guide was a very laid back and humorous young woman who, despite her laissez-faire attitude, was very professional and informative about ALL the features inside the ice museum. The museum itself was fascinating, with seemingly EVERYthing made of ice. The ice bar was very pleasant with covered ice-stools so your posterior didn't get cold, the igloo was fun for kids with an ice xylophone inside, and there were even ice hotel rooms at the back. There was so much more that I don't have the time to list, but needless to say it was an interesting visit that I would recommend to anyone with a passing curiousity.

What fun experience! The ice sculptures are amazing! Totally worth the trip. It only takes about 45 minutes to go through it. It is cold so even if you think you have dressed warm. You have not. Take one of their coats, you won't regret it.

$15 for adult is worth visiting this center. Located at dead end there are no cellular signals. They have hot spring and nice park around. Worth spending half day. It’s cold inside museum so keep warm clothes. They do provide jackets but I prefer to have mine

Very intricate and beautiful designs. They have a bar carved out of ice, chairs made of ice and serve some drinks as well. It's obviously very cold inside the museum. Enjoyed watching a person at work making ice glasses on a machine.

They have coats for you to use, but on the day we visited they were wet. The sculptures are amazing, I had fun taking photos here. You can rent out the place for overnight visits, but we were told no one makes it all night! A tour and a visit to the bar are enough. The Appletini is served in a glass made of ice. I enjoyed sitting on the carabao covered bar stool and drinking. I would have had another if it was an option. There was a wedding scheduled in here the day after our visit.

The ice sculptures here are amazing i love visiting the place with the kids the tour guides are awesome and if you ever get to meet the ones that do the ice sculptures they are awesome we will definitely be coming back :-)

Oh this was a crazy fun experience. Our guide was "Bigfoot Josh" and he was super personable and nice to our group of crazy photographers. He let us take photos and then made us some very strong appletinis in ice martini glasses. Super fun time and amazing sculptures!

We drove out to the The Aurora Ice Museum in September. Its quite a drive out there which is the only negative. Bring your winter wollies as its VERY cold inside. The carvings are fantastic especially the bar area.

Museum was novel enough to be fun...after the mob of people initially leave. Not much of a 'tour' as no info was given about construction, cooling, carving, etc etc. Split the $15 cheap vodka and apple pucker 'tini' with my husband, way overpriced, but you should do it.. (To cranky AF 'guide' Emily, time for a job change...while I can totally see the frustrations you may face day to day... We're all not totally oblivious jerks.)
