Tour guide was so passionate about telling the history of the freedom riders and those who help create change in America as far as black rights.

Wow!!! Woman at front desk was so friendly. We went very knowledgeable and offered to give us a 20 minute tour around the museum. Small space but impactful information. Lesser known events that deserve more coverage from Civil Rights movement. Overall great visit, highly recommend stopping by here.

Toya McClurkan

Great use of an historic space. Very informative exhibits and knowledgeable staff. The tour was well done and the docent was well versed in the history of the time and the parallels with the present. It was an eye opening experience.

My daughter and I went just at closing time and our gracious host who runs the museum could not have been friendlier. We were overwhelmed in a good way to be at this historic place. It is a small museum that packs in a big impact with the story of the freedom rides and the young people who changed our history by the courage they demonstrated right there. Also some amazing paintings by the artist Faith Ringgold. Do not miss it!

A must see in the city of Montgomery, Alabama. We were eagerly greated by one of the museum's guides. She(Trina Binkley) gave a heartfelt welcome and generously began telling us about the historical structure of the building(putting us in the moment of the historic greyhound bus station). She delivered a smooth flow of information from one exhibit to the next. This clearly made us feel well informed by her. The exhibits were amazing!! A bonus was her great interpersonal skills...simply delightful in conversation. We left the building with an enhanced knowledge base of the Freedom Riders, as well as, the city of Montgomery, Alabama. I will return with the rest of my family!!

PHENOMENAL museum! Phenomenal! To spend time in an actual Greyhound terminal that was segregated and that was one of the major spots of the freedom riders. I would highly, highly encourage everyone to attend this museum. It is well worth it.

Stood reading with goose bumps. Incredible to read it while standing in the very spot. So glad we happened upon this little "museum" each information board is written out in a timeline form, so you can read the timeline of events as you go down the line, see pictures of events and people, and stand where it happened. I wish they had a map to the church talked about on one of the boards, I wasn't able to find it.

This is a very small museum that does the best with the resources available; those just aren't many, which is the only reason I'm not giving it five stars. On the bright side, it is slated to expand in the not too distant future. Given the limited resources, it's amazingly informative. I knew very little about the Freedom Rides and how they fit in the wider context of the Civil Rights era, so I learned a lot. If you're visiting Montgomery to learn more about Civil Rights history, you shouldn't miss this.

This place is amazing!

The Freedom Rides Museum is beyond worth a visit when in Montgomery. Centrally-located, the museum is in the old Greyhound bus station building and is very small, but packs a powerful punch. The layout is easy to follow and there's a lot to take in and see. The woman working took time to speak to me about their mission and what they do there and she was beyond kind and knowledgeable. The museum is wonderful for kids and adults and really is a necessary stop when you're in town.

This museum is amazing! Dorothy gave us a great tour! She is a wealth of knowledge. You could walk through and read everything in 30 minutes but we stayed for longer as Dorothy had so many stories to share with us. Amazing to be able to stand in the place where such a historic moment happened

Born & raised in the south & never have I learned even half the information about the Freedom Riders that I did here. On the smaller side, but very nice facility. Definitely a good stop. A typical tour takes about an hour. Take the tour with the wonderful, informed, enthusiastic women working here and you wouldn't be disappointed

This was a good museum. The service was good and the pricing was good. This was not the best museum that I have been to but it is not the worst museum. I would recommend this museum to anyone and overall IO had a good experience here.

We came to Montgomery for the Legacy Museum and the Peace and Justice Memorial but were so glad we included a visit to the Freedom Rides Museum in the original Greyhound Bus Station. The Director, Dorothy, is passionate, informed and brings the visitor into the experience - she provides a guided journey through this important story. Don't miss this!
