My husband loves anything on wheels that goes fast. We spent about 1.5 at the museum and he was as happy as can be and I was not at all bored out of my mind. It’s a good place for the whole family. There are three levels (and some in between) of bikes and cars. And you can walk on the paths outside above and around the racetrack to see members enjoying their own cars. Adults price was $16.50. The ticket is good all day so you can leave and come back.
A perfectly beautiful track and a fun, interesting experience. We will be returning for the Indy race and many others. Amazing sculptures and museum. We were here attending a vintage motorcycle race.
This was my 3rd visit to the museum a d I am amazed at all the new motorcycles and Lotus sport cars.
Amazing place! A must see if you’re visiting Alabama. There are THREE levels of amazing vintage cars and bikes to see. There’s also a racetrack out back that you can go and watch the drivers race. It’s such a good experience. Perfect for the whole family
What a great collection. Easily one of the most interesting places to visit in Birmingham.
Fantastic track! Beautiful grounds - you feel like you are at the gardens! Great venue for Birmingham! I am proud to have such a nice place in this area!
9500 motorcycles on display at any given time. The world's largest collection. Incredible.
So cool it was a great learning experience for a kid like me and there should be a little food bar so you cnlan eat because it does take a little while to go through and it may make people hungry from walking
Immaculate! Huge! Pristine! Worth the time and effort to go through. The absolute nicest museum I have ever seen.
Nice place to spend a day at the races. Bring a lawn chair and find a shady spot. Cool bikes in the museum. The races and events are fun too.
If you are any kind of motorhead, do not miss this. This is the largest and finest museum of its type in the world! You can easily spend a full day exploring. Plus, the track and grounds are immaculate!
OUTSTANDING thank you for sharing your collection Mr Barber!!
A fantastic experience. They have over 950 motorcycles on display and a couple hundred cars..
Loved it! Every historical motorcycle you can think of is in this place!
Awesome place. Very cool collection of bikes and cars. Everything is extremely well kept and neat. Overall great experience.
This musem was awesome. I couldn't get over how many vintage motorcycles I saw. From early 1900's motorized bicycles to the 2017 Triumph racing bike. Yes sooo many motorcycles to see. A must go and see place if your into motorcycles. Plus the gift shop was reasonably priced. Great experience. Very clean, nice staff and only $15 for an all day pass.
Speechless! This place is a must to visit. So much to see. I only had about 1 hr here and I wish it was 2 days. Mr Barber has an amazing collection. Phenomenal!
First class establishment. Great efforts and will only improve over time if they keep the same vision of excellence.
Words can’t describe the awesomeness of this place! When I walked through the doors and looked at the levels of motorcycle deliciousness all I could think was that I wanted to be buried here when I die! Truly amazing, I was there for about 4 hours and needed about another day to really check it out. The track out back is STUNNING too! All in all one of the best places I visited on my 15000 mile TV trip to AK and the east coast and back to AZ. Every motorcycle enthusiast should spend a couple days here.
Amazing collection of motorcycles and cars. We were lucky to be able to see some vintage cars racing.
This place is incredible! If you like cars and/or motorcycles this is a dreamland. Whatever you've read or heard about this museum its better in person. Super friendly staff and knowledgeable about the vehicles in the museum. This really is a 1 of a kind place. Easily worth the money and a solid 4 hrs if you take it all in. Go ahead and make your day!!
This was my second visit to the museum. The last being May 7th 2012 and I was just as amazed this trip. Keep up the great work and over the top hospitality. See you in a couple years.
Been there several times and always have a good time. Lots of history and cool bikes. Plus a good view of the track.
A great place to spend the day looking at history and an ovation.
Very cool place, I've never seen so many motorcycles in one place!!! There are cars too, so that was an extra fun bonus! Look at the bottom of the elevator at the basement level for a good laugh.
Love this place biggest motor bike displayy in the world plus racing track dont get better that this this place is a dream
Amazing, comprehensive museum. On event weekends, the restoration area in the basement is opened to the public. Volunteers throughout the museum are knowledgeable and friendly.
Awesome time with family! Beautiful collection of cars and motorcycles!
Beautiful museum with an awesome collection of motorcycles and cars great experience
The museum and grounds are beautiful, amazing and a pleasure to tour
Perfect 5 stars. Great set of exhibits and a wonderful building. I just couldn't take it all in on one go. Will surely have to visit again. It is so nice too that the custodians? come and talk to you. Had a nice chat with one of them about motorcycling and racing. I think motorsports does that - makes people more chilled out. A few things that made me immensely happy - that the motorcycle I ride was also on display - the Honda Africa Twin. Also, was nice to see at least 3 machines from Royal Enfield India. And the best of all - that I could see the Vincent Black Shadow in the flesh. What a machine. If you are a motorcycle enthusiast - you are going to spend hours there! Oh and another thing I loved - preferential motorcycle only parking just outside the front door!
Outstanding level of customer service and satisfaction. I will definitely go back
Excellent design. In addition to the musem, there is also a walking path and a race track. The bikes were unique and beautifully displayed. I would highly recommend this place to anyone with interest in motorcycles.
Awesome place if you like Vintage motorcycles.
Amazing traveled from Barton Ks to see it. Wish I could of seen the basement level that has cars.
Very clean and fun place to visit. Your time here will be 75 min - probably 120 minutes depending on how much of a hurry you are.
Love this place, drove from Fla. To visit here..we will be back.
If you love motorcycles, this is the place to be. Practically every type of motorcycle is represented here. Just go with more than a few hours planned for your visit. There is a LOT to see.
Fantastic museum. If motorcycles catch even a bit of your interest then you need to visit here. A truly epic collection!
That place is amazing. You can see motorcycles and cars really beautiful.
Great experience being there not the last time I had been there. So much to see all motorcycle was in mint condition
The boys (13 and 9) were in heaven. If you love motorcycles then this place is your mecca.
Beautiful exhibit for any Motorhead. Worth the detour I took on the way to Atlanta.
Wonderful place for all motorcycle fans...Much thanks to Mr George barber for having the foresight and ability to create such a place!!! Kudos to the entire staff of the museum for maintaining all the bikes and all the volunteers who assist with the public. Thanks much to all who make the place happen.....R Buchholz
Loved it! If your passion is Motorcycles you will need several hours to go through the amazing display. I wish I had aloud more time during my visit.
Magnificent motorcycle museum! Clean, well laid out with a variety of restored and preserved motorcycles. Very impressive restorations. Some replicas, and some are reproductions. Most of them look like you could start them and ride off.
Amazing day of walking through a motorcycle
Unbelievable you must spend a minimum of six hours or 2 days to absorb it all
A true gem. A top notch museum. Has an enormous collection. If you are an enthusiast of motorcycles you must visit!
Very nice, you're going to need a few hours to look around
The place is ammmmmaaaaazzzziiinggg! For only $15 you can spend hours in this huge museum looking at the way motorcycles have progressed through the years. They also have some nice cars as well. If you do the premium tour, inly available in the weekends, you get to go to the bottom level where you can view the restoration process and some pricey cars. We didn't get to see that level because we didn't come on the weekend....but we might come back just so we can see that level. This is definitely a place any motorcycle enthusiasts should visit.
Largest motorcycle museum! Displays were beautiful and easy to see 360 degrees of the bike. Warning no restaurant at museum.
The BEST. Motorcycle experience I've had
Awesome place, but not kid friendly, which is understandable but just made it hard with a toddler not being able to touch anything. Beautiful vintage cars and bikes. Nicely displayed!
Out of this world. Amazing Museum
A wonderful place to go see some amazing racing, and the museum is just something you have to see with your own eyes. They have vintage bikes, race cars, five stories tall. It's amazing!
Excellent place you enjoy while getting out of the sun and heat
Your jaw will drop the moment you pull into the parking lot! Bikes, bikes, on the walls, on the floors, hanging from the rafters...and all pristinely kept and SPOTLESS! Huge inventory (hundreds) of all things vintage and new.
Love all the history and old motorcycles. Fun to watch people race around the track
Lots and lots and even more motorcycles. Very good fisplays and info.
Great track and beautiful grounds. Had an excellent time.
Mostly motorcycles but a nice selection of Lotus racing cars. Great for gear heads of all types.
An overwhelmingly fantastic collection of motorcycle history.
O. M. G. Words cannot describe this facility. No matter what I write, it will be an understatement. Depending on the level of motorcycle enthusiasm the visitor has, one could easily spend two days here. We planned on three hours (very tight schedule) tearing ourselves away after 5 hours... And we barely made it through a quarter of the museum.
If you like motorcycles, a must see place
Very nice exposition of extremely rich collection of motorcycles, race cars, bikes, scooters etc. Very friendly and patient personnel. I highly recommend this place!
Amazing place and so much fun!
Outstanding museum...really looking forward to the airplane one that is planned too!
Absolutely the largest collection of vintage motorcycles and Indy Race cars. Well worth going to if you enjoy history of motorcycles.
This place is so cool. I’ve only been riding like 25 years and over the years I’ve have about three dozen bikes. I saw almost every bike I ever had, except my first. A Honda Hawk GT. It was a 650 twin with a single sided swing arm and one of the first aluminum frames. Maybe next time.
Truly amazing place. It is incredible how many bikes they have including every style and bikes from so many different decades.
If you have an interest in vintage race cars and motorcycles then you NEED to see the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum. There is a huge collection including a lot of bikes going back to the early days of motorsports. You may even see some cars being worked on. It's also next to one of the most beautiful road racing tracks in the country. The vintage festival is also a great chance to see classic cars on the track.
Awesome experience for someone with the passion for classic motoring. Many years ago, when I was a kid, I saw various Formula-1 cars in magazines, and I was mesmerized. Well, it's only at this museum when I finally saw some of these cars in real life. Experience of a lifetime!
Went for Barber Tag days. Got a few laps on the track. The facility was beautiful, the collection is great for both 2 wheel and 4 wheel fans, and the staff is friendly. The track is fun, even at a spirited pace of 55 mph.
This museum is spectacular. If you are into any motorsports this is a must go!
Felt like a tome of dead motorcycles,. Lots of display bikes, but some were basically new bikes from dealers with no reason to be there. I will not be returning, seriously felt like like no one who worked there wanted to be there.
Nice venue, turn 9 hospitality is awesome! Thanks Motoamerica for fun weekend. But mostly to LiquiMoly USA!
Really awesome. I go once a year, since 2010. Well worth the drive even if I was from canada!
This place is great. . Stunning, must see.
Very big selection of motorcycles, not alot on the cars. But very nice place. Nice bathrooms.
This place is awesome! If you're into motorcycles and racing you need to visit this place. Love going when track days are happening and watching from the bridges.
Best motorcycle museum in the world. Tons of history!
Great place for motorcycle enthusiasts. Need about a day and a half
Fun with alot of old and new motercycles
Alow plenty of time to see all the motorcycles and cars. It will take hours if you don't move along. There is a wall of windows where you can see various Porsche vehicles going around a road race type course behind the museum. Be sure and eat before you get there or bring something with you since they only have a few vending machines. It is overwhelming and unexpected to find a museum such as this in a somewhat remote area. It is good mix of art and machine in one place. A must see!
This was an awesome place to visit, located next to the Barber Motorsports Park. The creative museum building architecture houses over 1,400 motorcycles spanning over 100 years of production. A biker's heaven with more than 650 bikes displayed on any given day. If motorcycle's not your thing, the museum also has a most extensive Lotus collection, starting with the Lotus 21. The museum also displays rare racecars, including the 1964 Ferrari F-158, in which John Surtees won the 1964 Formula 1 Driver's World Championship.
A mecca for motorcycle enthusiasts and curious of any level - there's plenty of interesting examples of great craftsmanship and design. Very well curated, even the wife rediscovered connections to past days here. We will be returning regularly!
Really enjoyed the little excursion out here. It really has SO MANY motorcycles and cars. It was a lot of fun. And a beautiful outside park-type area as well. Highly recommended.
Great place to go! I love going here once a year or so. Lots to look at and it gets changed out here and there. Absolutely love this place and the staff is so friendly
Exhibit are remarkable, you can get everything in taking your time in about 3.5 to 4.0 hours. Take pictures for the memories, left for this trip later than I planned. Return trip on the calendar.
A paradise for anyone that appreciates motorized transportation.
Wow!!!! If your a gear head this place is amazing. So much to see that you can't truly see it all in one day. Pay for the extra tour to get all the insight.
This place is incredible!! I'm not even a motorcycle or motor sports enthusiast and I thoroughly enjoyed this place. I went with a friend who is a huge motorcycle geek. I was expecting to just bide my time while she looked around. But I was completely sucked in as soon as I entered the place. 5 stories of exhibits - over 1,000 motorcycles on display, Lotus race cars, and more. Each exhibit has a informative placard and I learned some many interesting things. The motorcycles have been reconditioned to their original state and they from current day all the way back to the early 1900's. Each cycle is thoughtfully displayed and you just cannot help but be completely enthralled. The grounds outside the museum are beautiful and there is even a full 19 turn race track out back that hosts national events. What a wonderful gift Mr. Barber has given the Bham community.
Motorcycle lovers paradise for all types of riders. Worth the price of admission.
Strongly recommend taking the Premium Tour (offered Fri thru Sun only). Our guide was Alfred Smith. He was e extremely knowledgable and accommodating. The tour puts more of the museum visit in to perspective. As far as the track, phenomenal layout. The museum building was an Architectural masterpiece inside.
Brandon ruins this place. Want more stars? We want less brandon
The exhibits are amazing. The Vintage Festival is great with the swap meet and lots of vintage racing off road and track. The museum is always top shelf.
I had the worst experience here out of any museum. Especially with a man named Brandon Busby. He is the rudest person who works there. Management should be ashamed of hiring him. He needs to be fired. I saw that comment about him sleeping with another guys wife and it made me even more disgusted. Would not recommend and will never come back.
Awesome place to bring your family friends or any group
Yes! Awesome! And when the bikers and the vintage cars posted up outside, a car lover's dream!
A must see if you are in the area and like motorcycles and Lotus race cars. They have one of the largest collection of motorcycles starting from the first ones made up thru modern ones. The collection has to be seen to believe how comprehensive it is.
Motorsport guys! What can be even more fascinating? This is incredible as you watch how the entire field progressed. The evolution of vehicles - awesome exhibition. Bring your kid here, I bed modern kids don't even know about these motors variety :)
Incredible motorcycle display! I walked around for 2 hours and it still wasn't enough time to take in all the cool motorcycles and the race track. Amazing history and knowledge in this place. Totally recommend the visit - it's so worth it!!
Pretty cool stuff to see and the guards are all super friendly. We had one stop to tell us a few facts about what we were looking at and he was super nice. Wish they'd let us see the bottom floor and the resto shop but tons of cool stuff to see.
Not only is this a great place to see vintage motorcycles and cars, it's a terrific meeting venue with excellent food!
Absolutely stunning. A true jump in the past for the motor enthusiasts. Lots of vintage bikes and race cars. The museum is very clean, spacious and easy to walk through.
Great place to visit. Very nice. Very enjoyable
Had an awesome time at the 2019 Honda Indy Grand Prix sponsored by America's First. The food was amazing and the service was top notch. I should have brought ear plugs but overall the event was awesome. I was so close to the cars I could reach out and touch them.
Great place even if you're not a motorcycle fan. Fantastic views of the track and history lessons. The Britten bike is a must see. Only bummed was not allowed on the bottom floor to see the Porsche's
Wow! So many cool cars and motorcycles. I needed more time!
Fantastic bikes! And plenty of them!
Fantastic place to visit. A lot of history, and a lot to see. Friendly staff was very helpful. I will go back.
This place is amazing. Not just for people fascinated with motorcycles. The staff was very nice. The building is just as stunning as the motorcycles and cars. You can really lose track of time because there is so much to see and take it. Great time there, definitely recommend it to anyone.
My first time visiting Barber Vintage Motorsports Park and Museum, was quite the experience with so many different motorcycles and other vintage sports memorabilia. Can easily spend an entire day here, reading about all the different pieces on display. Was a very enjoyable experience.
This is the place every motorcyclist should go in the southeast if they truly love motorcycles. You probably will have to go two days in a row to see everything.
This is my new favorite place. If you have a fetish for things with two wheels... this place is for you. If you love the internal combustion engine ... this place is for you. If you like things that go fast ... this place is for you. If you love motorcycles and their history ... this place is for you. Exotic cars ... this place is for you. Beautiful machines ... this place is for you. I will be back. Many, many times.
My one complaint is that it took me so long to visit! The collections here are insane. My Dad, a Harley enthusiast, walked around the museum for HOURS. I definitely plan on stopping by for another visit soon.
Amazing! I was pressed for time and only spent about three hours at Barber's. My mistake. Give yourself plenty of time to view the incredible collection. This architecture was fantastic as well. So much to see
Highly recommended to any motorsports enthusiast. And a must see for motorcycle lovers. The 13 bucks they charge is worth triple that. If anywhere near Talladega, do yourself a favor and commit 5-6 hours to fully enjoy this experience.
Moto America motorcycle races today at Barbers Motorsports and we visited the Motorcycle Museum while we were there. This place was totally awesome, if you enjoy motorcycles or racing in general then you will definitely love this place. The track alone was a mere $55 million when first built back in 1994. Don't miss out come see this place.
This place is awesome! A shrine to motorcycle's/ Motorsports.
Great motorcycle collection. Friendly staff and Amazing view of the track.
Facinating place even if you aren't into motorcycles. Although 5 floors of motorcycles will be appreciated my motorcycle lovers. The biggest collection of cycles according to Guiness world records. Motorcycles from when they began in 1860s to the present. Well designed building incorporating art. Take the pedestrian bridge from the building to walk out over the race track. The grounds are beautiful and Very well maintained.
Love this place. Second time visiting. The bike collection is second to none. There is also a Porche race track.
Amazing! Cool things everywhere you look. Had to drag my husband out because of starving children. Will definitely go back.
We visited based on a local recommendation while we were in town from Phoenix and we're highly impressed by the quality of the exhibit.
If you love Motorcycles & Cars then this is the place to visit.. Amazing !!
Wow wow wow. Have to see this place. You can go multiple times and you wont get tired of it. Amazing bikes and csr collection one of the nicest I have ever seen.
Totally awesome! A minute for anyone who likes motorbikes
Heaven for the Motorsports enthusiast. Brilliant display of motorcycles. Loved it.
I donated a motorcycle to this organization, along with other items based on promises that were made but never kept. When I called them out on it, they seemed not to care at all, but of course they already had the donation by that time. Donators beware, they made promises to me that were NEVER kept. UPDATE: Apparently after my original complaint by telephone was dismissed, now BVMM is neck deep in damage control over this review. Slark is calling day and night trying to make up for promises unkept - like I would take his call now after over promising and under delivering. Are you familiar with the legal concept of fraudulent misrepresentation, Slark? My attorney is. We had a nice discussion about it this morning.
Amazing collection, must see for any motorcyclist
It took me about ten minutes in the door before my mind returned to functional. I was like a kid and could not contain myself. Still in shock as to how awesome this museum was.
Probably the best motorcycle museum in the world. Has both really rare and mainstream motorcycles. They look like they just came off the assembly line.
It is a truly amazing place, but it definitely requires more than a single day.
Excellent museum, must see if you like motorcycles.
Unbelievable!! Whether you like Motorsports or not, this place is a must see.
This place is Mecca for those who love all things motorcycle. Not only is Barber an amazing collection of motorcycles, it’s one of the nicest museums I’ve ever been to. I highly recommend a day trip to Barber.
Overwhelmingly number of motorcycles. Had been travelling for a few days and made the conscious decision to visit while in the area. The display and information was concise. They were having a race and my son and I stood on the bridge over the track to watch them pass. Spent three and a half hours wandering around looking at all of the displays. Highly recommend if you are in the Birmingham Alabama area. My son said it was the best part of the trip so far
we visited the museum a couple of years ago, mostly unguided. There were employees around to answer questions. My own experience yesterday was quite different. I was tagging along as a chaperone with a home-school field trip group. First stop was the theater where an employee provided information, answered questions and showed a short film. At the end of this session, the large group was divided into two smaller groups for a tour of the museum. Since our group was large, a number of employees helped with the tour. After about an hour and a half, we wound up on the lower floor with the hands-on activities children really appreciate. The kids sat at tables to sketch a car or motorcycle, then they used molding clay to shape their vehicle; they took all of this home in a plastic bag at the end. While children worked at the tables, our guide rotated from table to table asking questions related to the tour. As children answered the questions, they moved to one of several small motorcycles to help put on parts; when they finished this, they were presented with a lanyard and badge reading "Build a Bike participant". As children completed adding a part to the bike, they were sent to wait for their turn to "drive" a race car on a video game. I suggest you visit the museum website to get a full picture of what they have to offer. There are special events and a variety of tours available.
We had an awesome experience, got to see 1700+motorcycles under one roof! My husband being an motorcycle enthusiast had a lifetime experience!
I've never seen a bigger or more impeccable collection of automobile / motorcycles. The staging of the vehicles was incredible and very Tastefully done.
This museum is an absolute MUST for any motorbike enthusiast or lover. Hours can be spent here viewing such domestic and exotic beauty and machinery.
If you love motorcycles, everything from extreme vintage extreme modern, this is the place to check out! I cannot believe how much they have stacked in the 5 floors total. Lots of fun just walking around and checking everything out. I'll be back!
I highly recommend if u love motorcycles race cars. Very clean and family friendly.
My husband and son loved this and were sad to leave
Incredible collection. Worth going for the lotus collection alone. Wish we had several more hours here. You could easily spend an entire day.
Great staff especially cleaning crew mrs. Ruby was very nice
That is a top notch facility that with tram you can stop and see any part of the track. The trials course was fun to wait too.
Everyone Loves the Barber Motorsports Museum! It is Truly Motorcycle Heaven! The Taj Mahal of Motorcycles, with an Incredible Lotus Car Collection thrown in for Good Measure!Plan on being there from the Time they Open to Closing Time and You will Treasure every Minute!
Awesome museum, wonderful staff.Great place to enjoy the motorcycle history.I truly recommend this place if you haven't visited.
Great place.. toooooo many bikes.
Super cool for whole family. Maybe depends on the lady. But staff is very helpful
This place was incredible. If you are a fan of motorcycles from all over the world, this is the place. You will definitely not be disappointed. Knowledgeable staff, great layout, and nice views and access to the accompanying track. It is worth the trip.
A MUST SEE PLACE FOR ANY MOTORCYCLE FAN... THE MUSEUM IS AMAZING!!!
Wow, what an awesome museum! No-wonder they are now number one in the world. And I loved the bridge with a glass floor in the middle, that gives you a bird's-eye view if the track!
Amazing collection of all sorts if motorcycles and sports/racing cars.
