We recently hired Rapp’s moving to relocate us to our new house. When I initially called, I asked for a rough estimate. The owner said it was tough to say, but after discussing everything we wanted moved she estimated $600 to $800. After agreeing to the move, I said we would probably have less than I originally thought, but she said it is better to plan for more and send extra boxes. Originally we were going to have them pack up and move all of our clothes, but my wife and I did that through the week before they showed up. Then, three days before our schedule date they called and tried to get us to move our appointment up by 24 hours. I informed them that our schedule didn’t allow for that and we would like to keep our original appointment. The owner then proceeded to give me a sad story about someone else they were trying to accommodate but had no respect for us and our schedule. She would not take no for an answer, so I finally had to tell her in no scenario would we change our date and that I had to get back to work. Moving day they show up at 8:25 and I inform them that we already moved all of the small items and they only had a bedroom set, couch, dining table, desk and filing cabinet to move. They begin packing everything up and moving it out (4 guys). At one point I am in the basement and here a worker use the N-word which immediately offends me. Then, they inform me they are roughly 10 minutes away from being finished so I give them directions to the new house (which they tell me they have gps they will use) and I head over there before them. Their 10 minutes plus a 5 minute drive somehow takes them 40 minutes because they got lost. They then proceeded to install our bedroom set completely wrong without ever asking how it should be put in the room. This process wastes about another 30 min. Then they finish up and hand me the bill. They had billed me for 45 minutes of drive time back to the shop, which is only a 25 minute drive. They charged me $50 for two boxes that they used to package up a glass table top, but then take with them when they are done. They also started the billing at 7:15, but the supervisor told me they didn’t even get to the shop until 7:30 and left shortly after. Again, 25 minute drive and they are claiming they left the shop at 7:15 am but somehow didn’t get to my house until 8:25. To recap: Started billing me before they even got to work Over charged me for drive time (45 min when it only takes 25 on a bad day) Charged me for the time they wasted when they got lost and put the bedroom set together wrong. Used the N-Word while in my house Tried to force me to move my appointment forward a whole day And their estimate of $600-$800 was actually a bill for $1,377 I also had to pay without ever receiving a receipt or copy of the invoice. A truly dishonest business. When I called to speak to the owner, it was clear that what I experienced is exactly how they run their business. A strong upfront sales pitch followed by racial slurs, overcharging and zero customer service once the bill has been paid.

They did a great job for us! They were super courteous and hard working! But charged way way too much. Weren't that fast. Too much packing.

Rapp's has been very professional and considerate. Took great care of my family and our belongings. As far as the racist comment, im not sure where that came from, as we never had a single problem with that "issue".

This wonderful company has helped move my parents to and from assisted living 3 times in the past 5 years. I arranged the most recent move for my 88 year old dad. From start to finish, this was one of the best moving experiences I’ve had as we personally have moved across the country several times. They showed up on time, worked fast and furious and was priced right where I was told to expect. The two men were polite and were quick to assist me with things I was moving on my own....Very hard working and professional! I would highly recommend their services!
