Rude PODS delivery guy. Told me I had to move my car so he could put the POD in a 15 minute parking spot. Which I found out later he is not suppose to do!!! I will never use PODs

When we called and asked to get into our unit, they were very helpful and the next day our unit was in an easy to access spot. Very helpful service and quick and simple too!

EDIT - after another 30 minutes on the phone with customer services, it turns out that my Madison-Waunakee move was handled by PODS of Milwaukee. Same cautionary tale, but wrong location. Updating my review from 1 star to 4 stars (which would be my rating without the billing issues). My PODs experience was fine until it came to final billing. Due to their poor website and customer service, i wasn't able to schedule a reasonable delivery date. I provided ~3 weeks notice. They scheduled my pickup 2 days into the next billing cycle and made me pay an EXTRA $408 - a full month rental. Completely unacceptable. Took me >90 minutes with customer service to try to correct the error. Spoiled my experience and i caution everyone from using their service because of unethical billing practices.

We moved about a year ago using PODS, and I've finally calmed down enough to review this terrible company. Our PODS delivery guy was nice, and he placed the POD on our street. He was several hours late, but we were just happy to get started moving. He told us that the doors have some issues. We started packing our POD immediately. We saw that a thunderstorm was moving in, so we secured our POD container and headed inside. When we came back to our POD, there were several inches of standing water inside the POD. The delivery guy came back the next day to help us clean up. We had immediately gotten a POD insurance claim going, since we had paid extra for the POD insurance. The delivery guy told us that a similar incident had already happened once that summer in our relatively small town. Horrible. Water had rushed in the door. We take pictures of our $2-3000-worth of damaged/destroyed furniture and books and got back to work. Our POD got picked up early, meaning we didn't have time to get everything in. And PODS denied our insurance claim, saying that they only covered water damage if the POD had been destroyed by hail or something like that. So the door was garbage, and this had happened before, yet they wouldn't cover it. We lost a lot of our stuff that day, and they didn't have the decency to make us whole, despite a history of the exact same issue. Stay away from PODS. In response: You should be warning your customers that these containers aren't in any way watertight. If this happens twice in a couple months in a single town, that's an issue.

Our PODS delivery guy refused to place the POD we ordered in the location requested due to the ground/yard being unexpectedly wet. That's fine, but they also refused to place it anywhere along our gravel road leading to the backyard where the POD would have been more accessible for our move. His reasoning was it was also too wet. This gravel road is the same one he drove up and backed up to get to our house as it is a continuation of our driveway. He left the POD in the front of the house. I would have to upload a panoramic photo to show just how far away this POD was placed from the original desired area. Our delivery guy was also very good at telling me what he wouldn't do and wouldn't hear any suggestions I gave. Its unlikely in my opinion that he would have gotten stuck because we have many heavy trucks driving on that same road day in and out for the renovation that is happening. At the end of the day, we have a storage unit on location, but it was an extreme pain, huge waste of my time, and a test of patience. I wouldn't use this company again unless I lived on a large cement pad, so they would have no room for a compliance issue.
