I cannot thank Marianne and her wonderful team enough for the way they moved my elderly father from his home into a senior apartment with so much care and attention to detail. I live overseas and could not be there for the move – but they communicated with me daily about their progress, answered all my questions, attended to all my concerns and even sent me pictures of my dad happily settled in his new apartment. They did everything possible to make the move as stress free as possible for my dad, working with him to decide what to move and where to put everything in the new place. They went the extra mile more than once to make sure everything was smooth and efficient for moving day. And they treated him with kindness and respect. I am so grateful that I had them to rely on – knowing we were in good hands truly helped me rest more easily during this important transition. I wish I could give more than 5 stars! This company was great. Migeal & Mike came to move my furniture and I was impressed how they wrapped everything in blankets. There are movers that don't do that. They seemed to have a process down and worked very hard even though it was super hot that day. I would recommend this company to anyone, they were great!

We have been fortunate to refer our Residents when moving to our All Saints Neighborhood to utilize Moving Forward. They have moved several of our Residents & have received 5 Stars on each & every move. We are so pleased with their services, but high on our list is how attentive, cautious & gracious the movers are to our Residents who many use walkers, wheelchairs or canes. The movers are always aware of hallway traffic, lay down protective pads & handle every item with care.

My elderly parents needed to move from the large home that they'd lived in for about 56 years, into a two-bedroom apartment. In a very short time, Moving Forward Madison, packed up their most necessary furniture and possessions, and unpacked them into the new place. Before my parents moved in, the apartment was unpacked and looking comfortable. The staff of Moving Forward was very helpful, cheerful, respectful and hard-working. They consistently checked with my parents to confirm their decisions. My parents absolutely couldn't have moved without their help. With the remaining things in the house, Moving Forward also checked with my parents, sold what pieces they could, donated other things to good causes, and left the home empty and clean. We heartily recommend their services to others who need help downsizing in a hurry.

An organization like no other! When my Uncle needed to go into an assisted living facility, I was completely overwhelmed with cleaning out the house and putting it on the market. My Uncle was a "collector" of everything and the house had been in our family for several generations so you could imagine how much stuff there was. In addition, there was only me to deal with it all and I live out of state. Moving Forward came along side me and walked me through the whole process. When my Uncle was released from rehab his room was already set up at the assisted living facility including the bed was made and things that were special to him were placed to make it look like home. Then the work began on the house. The staff worked tirelessly and they knew what things were worth, so they helped me in determining what to toss and what to sell. They have connections to vetted buyers that give you a fair price. The endeavor was a success and the house sold for more than we were asking. The staff finished by cleaning the house from top to bottom and the seller was really impressed! I highly recommend this company!

My perspective is a bit different than others b/c I have worked as another service provider to seniors, occasionally alongside Marianne and her team (I own a couple local UPS Stores in Middleton/Madison, WI and we provide packing and freight solutions). Marianne and her team make everything look easy---on-site on-time, organized, hard-working, compassionate....the list goes on. Believe me when I say that they are the standard against which others should be measured b/c they have set the bar, and set the bar high! My mother recently downsized, moving from a 2 bedroom apartment to a 1 bedroom. Moving Forward's team helped my mom with the sorting, packing, moving and unpacking. Kim and Pat were so patient as they helped my mom through decision making as she determined what to save and what to part with. Anything not kept was either recycled, donated, or if it had value, sold. Several times Kim or Pat called or texted me, asking if I wanted a certain dish, or if my brother wanted something. They drove her to her new apartment with furniture measurements and sketched a floor plan. When it was obvious that she was bringing too much furniture, they helped her sell a couple pieces. They also arranged to have a woman with a resale shop buy three vintage dresses. After the packing was complete, Moving Forward took care of the actual move and the unpacking. The evening of her move, they sent me photos of her new apartment with much of it unpacked. Her Christmas tree was up! Moving Forward also helped with stopping and/or transferring utilities and phone. They also booked a cleaning crew to come in after she moved out. The Moving Forward Team was patient, professional and knowledgeable. I appreciate all they did to help my mom through this difficult transition.

I can't say enough good things about this company and Marianne. First they moved my parents out of their home of 47 years into a retirement home. This was no easy task as it was a huge home into a 2 bedroom apartment. Katie and (I'm sorry I forgot her name) were so sweet and kind and literally went through EVERYTHING with such care. I never could have done the job they did. Then my mom passed away in July so it was decided my dad would move in with us. Again we called Moving Forward and again their kindness was above and beyond. They packed him up so beautifully and the movers were so kind. Moving is not a fun experience but this company makes it bearable.

I can't say enough good things about Moving Forward. I scheduled them for three weeks to get ready for a move out of a house we have lived in for 34 years. In five days, everything was ready for showing our home. Their system is unique and effective, using a network of people to help with various parts of the process, which seemed an enormous and impossible task to me. It was fascinating how well it worked and how fast. I didn't move anything, I didn't have to call anyone, I didn't have to carry anything out of the house, and I didn't have to be responsible for the accounting of any of it . It is all handled by the company immediately and effectively. But, the best part of all was working with the staff. Karen was like an empathic, supportive captain that not only made the process less painful, but fun in spite of my grieving for having to leave our home. She was my guardian angel, since the impending move that I didn't expect, was stressful, overwhelming and depressing to me. But she and the others, also supportive and efficient, were like the Tasmanian Devil when it came down to the work. It was unbelievable just watching them. My part in the process was to make quick decisions and to use their system for identifying the fate of our things. They were patient and understanding at times when that was difficult. It's hard to let go of certain things, and they gave me time to think it through. I also learned a lot from the auxiliary people who buy/sell items. I never could have found the time to do what they do. Moving Forward was also able to make appropriate referrals for some additional needs at the end. Our realtor referred Moving Forward to us when I told her that it would take me two years to get through our 34 year supply of stuff. I am so grateful that she knew about them. The service does cost money, but it is worth every penny. I will call them again once our house is sold to pack up what is left. Like I said, I just can't say enough good things about this company. They have got it down!

Marianne Yes, the move went very well thanks to you and your fabulous crew. Thank you for making it happen! The timing was perfect, as well. David (and someone whose name I didn't catch) were just preparing to leave when we pulled up. I'm glad to have met David and to shake his hand in thanks. Not only was the furniture delivered, the room was set up very nicely. I was able to make the bed, etc. (because I had the bedding in my trunk) when we arrived. By the time I left, our dear person was all settled in and very happy to see his familiar items in his new place. I am so grateful that you were able to find an available crew. You really helped us out! I Marianne, Thank you for all you have done helping us with the condo. You and your team are such a godsend! We are so impressed by your persistence in finding buyers and donation sites.

Moving Forward is probably the finest company that my wife and I have EVER worked with. Marianne and her crew were always available to answer questions and to provide progress reports for the work that needed to be done, work-in-progress, and completed work. They also subcontract and employ handymen, painters, landscapers, etc, for the bigger jobs that are better left to the professionals. We would HIGHLY recommend Moving Forward to anyone faced with the daunting task of having to clean out and organize a loved-one's home in a quick and efficient manner. While they may seem a little "pricey" to some, they are ABSOLUTELY worth EVERY penny. Thanks again to everyone at Moving Forward for your help!
