Pulled yup to our office to see two moving trucks blocking our entire front entry to move in the new office upstairs. do note there is a side entrance!! then we walk int he front doors and the entire lobby including all of the other office are blocked by furniture. we ended up canceling all of our appointments so our clients didn't have to climb into the building.

Great experience with Mad City Moving! Brenda was courteous and professional making the arrangements, and Jay, James and Julius were fantastic! The move 150 miles away (plus a stop along the way to pick up a piano), turned into a 12+ hour day for them. The guys were friendly, careful with our belongings and professional the entire time. The pricing was better than other "big" movers we contacted, and they were worth every penny. We would use and recommend Mad City Moving in the future!

I’m not sure this company deserves three stars. The ground crew was fantastic. They did a great job loading our house into pods in the time allotted despite the fact they showed up late (complications on a previous job). Once they arrived, it was clear they were told the job was half the size it really was. One guy was even done for the day, but was sent to our house to help with the move. Like I said, the actual team was very professional and completed the job on the estimated time, but the lack of communication/over promising from the main office made this a very stressful experience. Now, we just hope everything arrives undamaged.

This team KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING! They moved extremely quickly and efficiently. THIS TEAM IS WORTH EVERY PENNY! They came in under the estimated time & amount. This was my second time using professional movers. The first time was not with Mad City we went a slightly more economical route and as we all know you get what you pay for. We got two movers who had little to no experience which made a four hour move over six hours. In the end we paid much more than this time around with Mad City! Mad City is the only way to go! Thank you to the three men who made moving a breeze!

So unprofessional. Post move, I called to clarify why we received a 45 minute drive fee of $105 (the apparent time it took to drive 7 miles from their shop to our house due to traffic and pushed the move window past the time they promised). I've moved at least 20 times with the military and have never paid for a company to sit in traffic, nor have I paid for travel time if I am only paying for labor (my truck was already at the location). After speaking with an employee and trying to explain, the owner got on and reprimanded me for inaccurate details (apparently I don't know the size of moving trucks or the details of their moving procedures - not sure why I would). Her unprofessional demeanor and lack of willingness to hear out my true question were shocking. I will make sure that I find a moving company in the future that has a professional and courteous business staff. (On a side note, the two men that moved me in were really great to my family and belongings - wish they worked somewhere else).

We moved at the end of October. We were quoted $780, they charged us $1150 at the end of the day. They said we had WAY more than we said we did...we didn't. The two men complained the whole time and damaged my son's crib and our coffee table. When we called to reconcile the damage, they send out an old man recovering from pneumonia. Brenda told us they don't replace your item if you don't have a receipt from time of purchase and even then they fix things, they don't replace. So if they move for someone who's had a piece of furniture for years, they expect a receipt?? They know most people don't save that and I'm sure they count on it. When the man came to "fix" the damage, we told him DO NOT paint the gouge on the crib because babies are known to chew on cribs when they get older and can stand. We did not want him to put his mouth on paint. He painted it. Brenda said she'd give us back part of the difference between our quote and the price we ACTUALLY paid. Still no check. This company is horrifying. Do not spend your money here!!! UPDATE: The check showed up and they put a stop payment on it. This company is horrifying.

Best choice we made! We have always moved all of our things ourselves. I can't believe we spent so many years doing that when there are people who can do this so efficiently and quickly. I was impressed from the moment I started filling out the online inventory. The phone call confirmed that we were dealing with professionals. I was nervous that our estimate would change once we had the in-home estimate performed. It didn't. That sold me. It's one thing to get a great estimate, and it's another entirely to have the company live up to it, and leave your homes and possessions in great condition. We will recommend Mad City Moving to everyone!

Extremely rude and unprofessional. DON’T EVEN THINK ABOUT USING THIS COMPANY! I was expecting a freight delivery of a dining table. The day before I got a voicemail stating that they needed to reschedule, which wasn’t a big deal. I called them back to confirm reschedule and they told me they were 30 minutes from my residence. Mind you I was under the impression they were rescheduling so I was not in the area which I calmly informed them of. I am a regional manager for a fast food chain, as a result I was at one of my stores in the La Crosse area. I asked to speak with a supervisor and got Brenda(?) she was one of the most unprofessional people I hope I never have to deal with again. She began berating me over the phone after I explained the situation told me it was my fault that they were out of $100 and they would not release it until they were paid for redelivery. This company does not put its customers first. As soon as I told her I was going to write a review about this she began to scream at me in which I said you are yelling so I’m going to disconnect this call. She attempted to call back which I did not answer.

Mad city movers made the moving experience actually enjoyable. They arrived at 8:15 in the morning and they worked for 4 hours steady. They were smiling, courteous, well mannered and made great eye contact. They were running up-and-down the stairs as they moved all of my furniture into my home. It was a Friday, they were a man short and so the owner showed up to help for a while. He left and 2 other gentleman joined the team. The bill was $300 less than the estimate. I couldn't be more happier. It was such a wonderful experience that I was moved to tears.

We used Mad City Movers for our recent move (March 2019). Couldn't be happier!! It was a difficult move (lots of heavy furniture, 2 king-sized beds, heavy and fragile audio equipment). We were moving from a single-story apartment unit to a 3-story 110 year old house. That means steep and difficult stairs. about 85% of our belongings were going up to the attic because of an ongoing remodel project. James and Mike did an awesome job!! They were efficent but gentle with our belongings, they had a great positive attitude, they moved everything to the exact locations in the house that we wanted and everything is in great condition. We had a great experience with Mad City Movers. We had Mike, Greg, and Lucas. They were amazing to say the least. They came with a lot of energy, worked quickly, and didn't waste any time. They were also very courteous in any conversation that occurred. I was most grateful for how careful they were with our belongings as well as the homes we moved out of and into. I can't say enough about how awesome this experience was - from requesting a quote on-line to the fantastic guys (Antony and Antoine - sp?) that moved us this past weekend. Communication from the office was prompt and really helpful. These guys worked harder than anyone I've ever seen before. The final price was a little more than what I was quoted, but I added additional things for them to move that I hadn't told Brenda (the office manager) about when requesting a quote. Took an extra hour over what she quoted, but it was money well spent. They were prompt, professional and took very good care of our belongings. They even got a huge heavy desk out of a room (that it was assembled in) and up stairs into our new place under very difficult angles/space without a scratch. Loved the experience!!!

I was very, very disappointed with my move. 2 bdrms, 1 TV, 1 dinette set, 1 computer stand, coffee table & end table took 6 hours? I don't think so!!!! 1/2 hr to begin, 1/2 hr at new apt. waiting when I was here, emptied part of truck on wrong floor; broke lamp & gouge in 1 headboard. I will never use Mad City Moving again & now either will my friends. I should have called 2 Men & a Truck ( I heard they do it right). I paid $779.00 for what should've taken 3 hrs. NOT 6. Nice people, but I got ripped off royally!!!

Do not use this company, or be dedicated to modifying the company's online template estimate system. This was one of the worst experiences I've had with movers. They complained nearly the entire time. A three hour move of two bedrooms turned into 6.5 hours and double the price of my estimate, even though I indicated by phone to Jordan that I had over 50 boxes and indicated a flight of stairs in my new home in the original estimate. A bookshelf was dropped down the bottom part of a flight of stairs, a table slammed against the glass window of a screen door, and an electric wire *above* the street was damaged by their truck upon leaving our new home. Weirdly, the *movers* had a bad attitude for most of the move, complaining as they mishandled things, indicating in a threatening way that my estimate was going to be more than the original as they were moving. These individuals are in the wrong line of work.

This company is excellent. The two guys that moved me were incredible. They literally sprinted in and out of where I was moving from and where I moved to. It was raining during most of the move. They covered floors in both places and wrapped all my furniture and anything I was concerned about being wet. It was delivered in perfect condition. Both places remained clean while moving out and in. I don't think they could possibly have done the whole thing any faster than they did. I highly recommend them.

We hired Mad City Moving in June, 2015. We were EXTREMELY impressed. The two man team arrived on time. They were super courteous, friendly and handled all of our items with care. We were impressed with how quick they were too. Since they're paid by the hour, we figured they may end up taking their time with the move, but the guys were RUNNING up the stairs between loads (and this was with 3rd floor apartments at both locations) and finished early. Their estimate was half the price of some of the other moving companies in the area and they even ended up charging LESS than the estimate. We would use them again in a heartbeat and we are recommending them to everyone we know.

Overcharged me, didn't wrap my furniture or provide floor runners and doorway protection like the contract stated, broke my bookshelf, and would not move my punching bag (even though it was okay'd in the quote I was given). When I complained to management, not only did I get yelled at by the owner, essentially called a liar, and was not given any feedback on if they'd be refunding what they overcharged, I decided to file a complaint with the BBB. Well, that sure got the owner to email me very quickly...yelling at me in all caps, and telling me I was wasting his time. He even had the nerve to call out MY work ethic when he doesn't even know what I do for a living! He demanded photos of me, which I had, and I sent them to him. Then, after a few more emails, he demanded the photos AGAIN all in caps lock. The owners are very rude and threatening, and I will never use them again. Ever. They did not hold up their contractual obligations written out by them, and yet, I'm the one that has to pay more. Still awaiting a response to see how they will accommodate this work, but after siding with their workers, even when photos have been provided, and yet still calling me the liar, if this doesn't get resolved I will definitely have to be taking this further than the BBB.

We've moved three times in the last 4 years. The three guys that came and did our move were the most professional, in-shape (it matters), and courteous. We had a 5 week old and my wife had to frequently take up a room for 30-60 min for breastfeeding. The guys gave her the space and didn't pressure her at all. They also realized the baby's room would need to be packed last and unpacked first. We had a lot of stuff but they still managed to finish in 5 hours. Far and away better than any of the previous moving companies. Hopefully we won't have to move again for 20+ years, but we will be recommending this company to our friends!

The actual movers did a nice job, the took good care with all my furniture and worked very hard. They were however over an hour past the 3 hour window and when I called the office to see if I could be given a discount for the inconvience I was treated very rudely and told that there were others things to worry about than my time. Although I understand that windows are estimates and there is not always a way to anticipate the moves before you, good customer service is to make up for inconviences, by at the very least, not being rude on the phone.

Nothing but positive things to say about the movers. I was a little bit skeptical when they arrived 30 minutes late (and I did not receive a call). But, as soon as they got there they were amazing. The two guys moving were polite, funny and FAST! They took good care of our stuff and were able to move more than what we originally asked for in the same time they quoted. We had a last minute of a midsized house. We were worried that we only had the truck for 6 hours and had a lot to move and a dump run to discard furniture we weren't moving. The truck got there and they were FAST! We ended up done 45 minutes early even though we had some last minute inventory additions and effectively filled the truck twice. Only warning I would give is that if you are doing a move of any size, skip the online estimate and just call directly. Once you're talking with them, everything makes more sense. I will absolutely call them again the next time I move.
