Terrible. They put personal inside items outside. A mouse ripped though my bags that were ooutside. My child toys are wwrecked. They broke my 500$ couch. They stack the totes up litterally to the ceiling. Ive tried calling 12 times. But no response. And they also threatened my mom ( which was balling because half of her stuff was destroyed)

I have been very frustrated with this business. We hired them to move our large items that should have only taken at most 2 and half hours to move. Two out of the three emplyees were great, but the third which was the supervisor kept stalling. Felt like he was purposly making it take longer. The job took 4 hrs which was 2 hours longer than what j was quoted. We sent the owners an long email the very same day and the owner apologized for what had happened and agreed to send us a refund for 1 hour and that it would be in the mail that week. Two weeks went by and no refund came to our mailbox. I emailed and texted the owner and was again told it would be in the mail by the end of the week. Two weeks went by and again no refund check. Do yourself a favor and do not hire this company for moving. Go with another company.

Jakes moving and storageis been by far the worst moving company I've ever heard of. I no from first hand experience what this company is like. I workedfor Jake's going on 6 month putting in hard long hours with no breaks, sometimes having 16-20 hour days. He doesn't treat his employees good at all. He picks and chooses who is favorite it and degrades the rest. I myself loved the job at first he made himself out to seem like a family based boss. He's tried putting 4 grown men inside a 3 passenger uhaul truck n instead of calling a backup driver he ttold me to ride in the far back in the box of the truck. I've got videos to prove on how disrespectful he is to his clients property. If something breaks he's tells you to quick fix it if possible and keep it from the clients. The driver is not legally allowed to drive unless it's jake. Anyone with a license can jump in his truck and haul your belonging he doesn't care. When he does long distance moves he avoids all waste stations because he's trucks are not legal to haul the weight they do. This are just some of the many things jake allows at his company so when decided a good mover to transport your belongs Jake's is not the choice is go with. Plus if when he quoted you for example 12 hours he really means 16. He quoted low so you choose his company and when it's time for your bill plan for atleast a few those extra.

Loaders were different than unloaders, so evidently they cannot answer any questions you many have. because they didn't load. so they know nothing. their only response, "I don't know, I didn't load this truck". Broken items have to be brought back to the "office" so they can be weighed and then you get 60 cents on the dollar. Having pictures of broken items is not good enough. It also cannot be mentioned on final paperwork that a box fell off a cart that no one would admit to....but they sure want their check right now! Long and short is I do not being treated like an idiot, or a dishonest person. In my opinion, broken is broken. More broken doesn't matter. So if you move away, you must get the broken items to them, you cannot have the movers take them, in case they break more. I didn't understand that part either, just my mind tells me they do not want to stand behind their mistakes. I would not recommend them to anyone. I found other reviews on this company, not good.

I worked for a professional furniture company on a delivery team. Came across these guys at a new customers house. I saw these guys before the customer was even there put up safety protocols, such as safety for your move. They looked pre pared and had smiles on there faces going in and out of there truck. I can tell you that everyone envied the guy who moves your furniture. These guys had a full load and as a professional I watched how they unloaded from the semi windshield. While we waited for the customer to arrive before we could start our job with the same client these guys had things in order logistically to get into the house first. I watched what it looked like in the back of there truck, how everything was strapped down and blanketed. And even saw a really heavy item double blanketed on the bottom to prevent stress to the legs of the furniture from the ride. I will tell you that I've met a lot of companies that just ratchet strap and hope for the best. All I saw where blankets..upon blankets.. With smiles.. I just thought I was in the wrong business...or company... Anyways we got done with our job, I shook hands with one of the guys and said good luck! He replied with a laugh and said this is easy... Alrighty...

Terrible experience don’t use them I learned the hard way! Jake came out and gave me an estimate after looking at our house . We chose him because he came in the lowest. They showed up late , sent 4 guys instead of 6 that he told me were coming. ( The moving guys told me 2 guys just quit so that’s all they had). They put boxes haphazardly through the house and out buildings, ( instead of putting them where the box was marked for them to go), damaged floor and walls, took furniture apart and didn’t put it back together. The job was too big for 4 guys and they were exhausted and worked too long we had to actually start helping them move boxes when it got so late in the evening. Then my bill was about 1200 more than the estimate! Jake would not listen at all when I expressed my concerns and said that was what we owed. They only give verbal estimates so you can’t even prove the charges are way over. The whole experience has been absolutely awful and you don’t need that on top of moving to a new home. I would say it was a complete disaster and I am out thousands of dollars. Wish I had never called but I wanted to give the business to a community business, what a mistake.

I was incredibly disappointed with this service. On the plus side, the movers were all very kind and respectful, and they were able to come out and move my entire household within a week. However, the guys who came out to move us worked at a snails pace. When I moved everything myself 2 months prior, it took me a total of 4 hours. It took Jakes 3 guys 8.5 hours to move only furniture, no boxes. It's fine to work slow on your own dollar, but when it costs this much, I expect the estimated price not to go 800$ more than expected. Also, they tore a hole in my wall and never addressed it, they warped my Piano, and warped a wardrobe. (Fortunately the wardrobe was fixable). The guys put a lot of time into wrapping my furniture to protect it, which I appriceated, but when actually moving it they payed no attention to turning things in odd orientations and damaged them beyond repair. Also the guys were very unprepared and when something had to be disassembled with basic tools, they had to drive all the way back to the shop to get a screwdriver, and then again to get a fuel card. Time is money. My advice to Jakes moving is when you quote somebody for their move, stand by your quote and don't charge your customers for your employees shortcomings. It is not my job to motivate your movers to move at a reasonable pace.

Would not recommend.They didn't unload and place things where they were supposed to be. Broke 2 large items. Took the bed apart but could not reassemble correctly. Unloaded boxes first and too little room for the furniture. OWNERS OBVIOUS LACK OF INTEREST IN CUSTOMER SATISFACTION.

Represented that they were insured at the point of sale. Now saying their insurance will not cover the damage caused by their packing. Advertising they are experts in piano moving yet have severe scratches and gouges fro lack of putting pads on it. Company will not work with me and have filed CC dispute and BBB complaint.
