DAYMAKERS MOVING & STORAGE My husband and I hired Daymakers Moving & Storage on October 22, 2018 to help us relocate from our two bedroom home in New Richmond, WI to our two bedroom home in Amery, WI. The weather that day was 60˚F. The distance between the two locations is 16 miles. We lived in the basement of the house which meant the movers had to use stairs to get our furniture out. Our new location was also in the basement of a house which meant the movers had a hill to descend to get our furniture in. We own a Serta Adjustable Bed and the frame alone weighs close to 200 lbs. Nick and Leighton made the move look easy. Our furniture was covered with moving blankets and then wrapped with shrink wrap prior to being placed in the moving truck. The movers brought our furniture into our new location and set everything up. The condition of our goods upon delivery was excellent! The final moving cost was exactly what we were quoted. The overall performance of Daymakers Moving & Storage staff was courteous and helpful. I would definitely rate them as excellent (5 stars)! Nick and Leighton showed up at our home within the time frame that was given to us when we scheduled our appointment. They were both polite and helpful. They both readily provided us with the name of their company (Daymakers Moving & Storage). They came in and performed a thorough and professional in-house survey to see what all needed to be moved. They answered all our questions in a satisfactory way. They also complied with our requirements and preferences. We were provided with all the necessary documentation. Nick and Leighton were extremely careful when handling our belongings. They worked hard and fast. I have never seen anyone move quicker than these two! I could tell they had worked together before. Nick and Leighton were polite and well-mannered. We had absolutely no problems in our move! Our items were delivered on time to our new location. We did not experience any damaged or missing items. Nick offered us the opportunity to check inside the truck when the move was complete to make sure there was nothing left behind. Again, our final moving cost was the same as the one in our estimate. I believe the cost was fair. My husband and I are completely happy with the final results of their work! I would definitely recommend Daymakers Moving & Storage to other home movers! Diane Morfitt

I had 3 guys , Gage, Cody, and Dylan, come to the house to move furniture around from upstairs to downstairs and upstairs to garage. There were multiple heavy items and sharp corners with steps and they took their time and didn't damage anything. They communicate well to each other during the process. They never marked up any of the walls and were very pleasant to be around. They were on time and efficient during the time they were here. I will be using them again when I have to move furniture. I had a really good experience with this company! I used their Groupon for 3 movers for 2 hours... I only had one bedroom worth of furniture to move and they did it all in only 1.5 hours! I would’ve given them 5 stars but one of the young men made a couple comments about how much stuff I have for just one person, not to my face but within earshot of me and I found that quite unprofessional. Other than that, the movers did an amazing and efficien job!

Customer service was outstanding. We had a 6 day delay in our closing date after we had already moved our stuff out of our house. They stored our belongings for 6 days and then moved us up in their schedule and delivered everything two days after our we closed. The movers were very careful, efficient and hard working. Daymakers was prompt and courteous. They finished the work quickly. There were a few small dings in walls, but I expected some, as the furniture was big and bulky. One other thing was they may want to take there shoes off when weather or conditions require. That’s the only reason for the four star. We recommend them to our realtor and the buyers realtor.

From the bidding process to the final signing, working with Daymakers was a great experience. Libby (the owner) regularly checked in and answered questions. We loved the fact that we could pick up free used boxes. On the day of the move, Drew, Zach and Nick provided great customer service. They moved quickly, asked questions, worked great as a team, were open to suggestions, were considerate of making noise, and were super patient and positive when we made last minute decisions and changes. The day I moved, I received a courtesy call from the crew leader, Don, in the morning to let me know that the crew was on their way, which I found very respectful and attentive. The crew (Don, Travis and Diego) showed up on time, worked very diligently and took great care of my belongings and their surroundings. They took their time to make sure every piece of furniture was wrapped and secured. They handled fragile items with extra care, yet still worked extremely fast to bring all my belongings from the third floor down to the truck. They were friendly, polite and hard-working, despite the fact that my apartment building was not equipped with an elevator and was full of stairs! If you're looking for a company and crew that will take the stress of moving off your shoulders (and knees and hips), hire this company.

This was our 1st time using Daymakers and they were fantastic. Extremely accommodating and very quick employees. Our closing date changed 5 times and changed again the day they were scheduled to come out to move us. Even know our closing date, time, and placed changed so many times they still were able to get us moved. The employees were also extremely fantastic and fast. They moved our entire house and unpacked the truck in 4 or 5 hours. Which was under the estimate they gave me. The cost was also great 170 per hour. This is the greatest company ever.

Daymakers was great! We bought the groupon and had them move the big and heavier stuff. After the finished that they did a bunch of the other boxes and little things. Don't expect them to move everything on one try if you have a lot but they do get a lot done within the 2 hours provided with the groupon. I will definitely use again!

The moving process is stressful. Decluttering, showing, negotiating, closing, and moving. Well Daymakers Moving, does just that. They make your day. Daymakers sent 3 of the hardest working, polite, respectful, young men I have ever met. Not only did they move my house; but two 10x22 storage units full. Instead of dragging it out, in order to boost the final bill to exceed the estimate, these young men busted their tails to come in at the estimate. And this was no cake walk. They exceeded the estimate by 15 minutes in over a 10 hour day. They were as polite at 6pm as at 8am. And with high winds and MN temps in the teens. I would recommend Daymakers because no other company could possibly compare.

The guys who came on the day of the move were great. They took great care of our stuff, they were very kind, and they worked extremely hard. The price was almost exactly the same as the other two quotes I received from two other companies. So their pricing was fair. I would have given 5 stars except for two small things that made me give the 4 stars instead. On the day of the move it was raining and there were a couple of items they could not get into the house due to mud. They came back a week later and were still not able to complete the job because of a lack of tools. They said they would come back again, but I ended up just finishing the job myself. The other reason I dropped a star was the communication with the office was sometimes slow and frustrating. I would send an email and it would take two or three days sometimes to get an answer back. I also called a couple of times and was unable to reach anyone. I would still recommend this company to anyone moving in the area. The great service on moving day out weighs the couple of speed bumps.

We used Daymakers Moving services two days in a row. Gage, Adam, and Tylor were incredible. Gage ran the crew and our jaws dropped when we saw him carry a king size mattress by himself. The issue is with the pricing model - the company charges a fixed fee for packing services...so when the packers take a 1.5 hour lunch break and leave many, many items unpacked ("the movers will get that"), you end up paying extra because the pricing for movers is by the hour. Not a great customer experience as my move ended up taking ~4 hours longer than estimated. The movers were great - just put in a tough position by the packing team.

The movers showed up on time, took a tour of the house and immediately went to work. Wrapping mirrors, furniture and anything breakable. These guys were so pleasant, and hard fast workers. They were actually running between the truck and the house. Unbelievable!! We had left a cooler of beverages for them, but they all had their water jugs. We had to go get an other truck, so they took a break and came back after a couple of hours. Finished the second truck and then took off. We would use them again without hesitation. Great job!

I rarely do reviews, but felt compelled to share. We hired Daymakers a week ago to move our home and storage unit. My first positive experience was in the research phase. I not only got to talk with local, knowledgeable people, I found their pricing to be very straight forward, with NO hidden charges. My second positive experience was the move day. The three man crew of Kindred, Layton and lead by Austin was nothing short of OUTSTANDING! I haven't seen hustle like that for many years from any service related industry. The group of people we had to assist them, all commented on how fast, thorough and careful they were. Not only will I be using them in the future, I can guarantee my friends will be too. INCREDIBLE! I can't say enough GOOD things about this service!! I had a really bad situation where other movers I had hired got into a fistfight inside my moving trailer and had to be removed from my property! I was left with a job that was only a quarter done and I had to be out of my house that day for a closing! I was desperate! I called around and, as expected, no moving company could help me out and such short notice! I finally called Daymakers and Lisa, who answered the phone, was so sympathetic to my situation; she said she would try to figure it out for me. After about 20 minutes, Lisa called me back and said that 2 of her movers were finishing another job and were supposed to be done for the day but they agreed to come out and help me out of my situation! Unbelieveable! I was so elated and relieved! Two super nice young guys, named Jacob & Shane, showed up in a beautiful, very professional Daymakers moving truck. They were so helpful and courteous! They did everything I needed done so quickly and efficiently! They took the time to wrap all my furniture and were so careful. They could move and do anything...like superheroes!! And they were...They made my day. I guess that's why the call themselves "Daymakers." Lisa called me back the next day to make certain all went well and that I was happy. They really care. The two guys who moved my piano did a great job and took the time to make sure they were being gentle with the spinet legs on the piano so that they did not get caught on the stairs or anything as they brought it upstairs. 100% recommend this company for your moving needs. I would give it 4.5 stars if I could. I had a piano moved, stored overnight, and delivered the next day after closing on my new house. Everyone I dealt with at the company was friendly and efficient. The only issue was that although the guys were being careful, a corner of the entryway got dinged a little when taking the piano out, so I thought I should take off a little for that. But it was a very tight turn, so losing a whole star for that is probably a bit much. Delivery the next day was on time, and went off without a hitch. The piano was very carefully and completely wrapped, and arrived unharmed. It was even still in tune! :-)

I did a really traumatic interstate move late last year after my sister Mavis died. Kory and his team showed up and in a matter of two hours loaded the massive storage unit of my sister's life that had taken me nearly 2 months to pack up, then they followed me to my old house in Wisconsin, loaded that all, too, and then met me with all of it in central Ohio the following week. Months later, I discovered that some things had been destroyed in the move/storage, most notably Funny Grandma's antique kitchen table; it was my breaking point. The owners paid to have Grandma's table replaced/rebuilt by an Amish carpenter near me, and I just got it back this past week. I am relieved and happy to have it, and have many fond memories with Mavis at that table, creating art, doing stained glass, making holiday meals. I'm very grateful to the team at Daymakers for standing by their word and helping me to replace some bad memories with one big chunk of white oak that means so much to me. Thank you all! I'm sorry I yelled at you.

Update: The manager called me apologizing, as this is their busy season and the woman that answered the phone for me only answers when the line is busy or their normal receptionist isn't there. It was an anomaly that I got her both on the initial the phone conversation and on heythe follow up. According to the manager, they have put forth systems to ensure she no longer answers the phone. I can tell customer service is a high priority for this company and they even pulled the Groupon down because their information was not being relayed correctly. I changed my status from 1 star to 3, as I feel 3 is satisfactory and I can't speak to the moving service. However, I can speak to the guest recovery, and I'm satisfied with the resolution. I purchased a groupon online that looked like a great deal so I bought it. However what they don't tell you is that the two hours start at their location in WI and end when the get back. After that it's an additional $180 per hour. I cancelled the Groupon immediately and called and left a voicemail letting them know the same. Three days before my move they called to confirm and I had let them know that with the distance, it wouldn't be a great value for me as I live in MN and would only get 45 minutes of moving time before the additional cost would set in. She proceeded to scold me for not reaching out to her directly or calling back to get a hold of a "real person" as she would have cancelled it. Not my fault lady you don't follow up on your "existing client" voicemails. I wasn't able to use this moving service however based on the reviews I bet the movers are fantastic, however based on my experience with this woman at booking and now, I would never use Daymakers Moving.

Movers were very friendly and courteous. They worked fast and finished the move ahead of the estimate. They were mostly careful other than two dents in the stairway and a good amount of chafing on the walls from rubbing against them with blue jeans and dark clothing. I would suggest they wear lighter colored clothing to minimize the brushing, rubbing and chafing.

Was disappointed in the difference in price from what I expected pay. One guy left at 5 and so there were 2 guys left to finish the job so took longer with less help. A family member made arrangements (on my behalf) to have furniture & boxes moved from a home to storage 3 miles away. Although they were careful in the home not to scratch walls, they didn't unload thoughtfully. Unit was filled back to front, no stacking. When they filled the floor space they tossed my furniture into the back! After posting a negative review, I was contacted immediately and Sean offered to have the unit re-loaded. I had already done that, so he asked how to make it right. They refunded half of the money and will re-finish a couple of pieces that were damaged. Because he seemed genuinely shocked, and really wanted to make this "right", I would assume this is not standard operating mode for them. Their customer service has been excellent!
